Verfication email for icloud

I have resent the verification email for icloud account multiple times but it never arrives. Very frustrating. Has anyone got any ideas?

Be sure you are checking the email account that you used when setting up your iCloud ID.  Be sure to check both the inbox and your spam/junk folder.
If it isn't there, and you've already tried resending it, all you can do is wait it out.

  • I changed my apple id email address to try jumpstart my account to send me a verification email for iCloud activation.  It worked but now I cannot change back to my original email address.  It says its in use.

    Hi Guys
I am writing this on behalf of a friend of mine.  To understand my issue let me explain how it started.  My friend has a apple ID with email address (lets call it) [email protected]  when activating iCloud on her iPhone a email was sent to verify her account.  This was not done and rendered the iCloud feature disabled due to not being activated.  [email protected] is the correct email address and works.  A form of troubleshooting I used the iForgot service to test if the email address was correct and mail flow from apple was working and it worked fine.
I logged into apple id to manage account and resend activation email for iCloud.  this did not send the mail.  I waited 48hrs but to no avail.
I decided to kickstart the account to force it to send to another email address by changing the primary email address from [email protected] to [email protected]  it worked and I verified the address and iCloud is now active.  However now I cannot change the primary email address back to [email protected] as it says its being used by another apple ID.
I then tried iForgot with the [email protected] email address, it says it sent a email to [email protected] but nothing arrived in [email protected] or [email protected]
I have this feeling the [email protected] is stuck I'm memory on my apple ID some how but can't get it to forget [email protected] so that I can use it as my primary email address again.
I have tried to log into iTunes with my original details [email protected] and password but says its incorrect.
any advices in this would be greatly appreciated.

The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

  • Can't verify email for iCloud on iPad or Mac

can't verify email for iCloud on iPad or Mac / not getting email (I've apple ID)

I have seen this issue brought up many times here in the community and decided to share my experience. I too could get verification. I had an AppleId before iCloud, it was used for Apple Store purchases. I made sure that the email I was using for the ID was not the same as what I was using for the ICloud ID. Next I signed in to my ICloud ID at
    Appleid.apple.com
I changed my email to a secondary e-mail I had. It was a gmail account.
I then verified that email address by logging into gmail and responding to email sent by apple.
I logged back into iCloud account and added an additional email to my account. I added the email that previously wasn't receiving the verification.
I then verified that email address by checking and responding to verifying email sent by apple.
I then logged back into iCloud account. Both emails I entered were verified. (primary and secondary)
I EDIT ' ed the primary using the secondary email address.
This removed my secondary address and made it my primary.
It was verified previously so I was done.
I went into settings>iCloud and a verifying email was sent.
    It worked.
It may seem like a lot to do, but it works.

  • Cannot receive verification email for iCloud

I cannot get the verification email for icloud. does anyone have any ideas apple dont appear to.....

The email should be sent to the primary email address you used when setting up the Apple ID you are using to set up your iCloud account.  If you aren't sure what email address that is check on My Apple ID.  Be sure to check both your inbox and your spam/junk folder.  If it isn't there go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.
If you have attempted to resend the verification email multiple times and it still hasn't arrived, try contacting iTunes store support here: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.  They deal with Apple ID issues all the time and can probably help you with this.
You can check to see if you have a different ID by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5625, but the verification email should be sent to the email address associated with the ID you are using to set up your iCloud account.

  • Haven't received verification email for iCloud

My email for iCloud still says verifying. But I haven't received an email yet either.

Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Also make sure you check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.  More details here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5404.

I get a message to reset or edit my settings in iCloud but when I go to account the email is gray.  I do have a new email for AppleID and Ipad is ok also.   Only iPhone is problem.
Under restrictions I have allow changes checked.

    Hello,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you have recently changed your email address associated with Apple ID, and are now experiencing issues with iCloud. It sounds like the new address has not yet been verified. Let’s check, and if not verified, go ahead and do so:

  • No verification email for iCloud

When I attempt to set up iCloud with my email, I get to the point where a verification email is supposed to be sent.  It doesn't get sent.  When I use the troubleshooting page to check if I have an appleID, an email IS sent to the same email where the verification email is supposed to be sent, asking if I want to change my password.  Changing the password does not help.
I have an appleID that I use for my developer account.  Because it is not in 'email format' it does not qualify for iCloud.
Any ideas? I would not like to create a new appleID as I want to keep all of my purchases previously made in iTunes.
    Thanks.

Have you tried asking for another email to be sent at My Apple ID

    Hi kelli in OP,
For information on verifying your primary email address, see this article:
Associating and verifying email addresses with your Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HE68
How to verify the primary email address for your Apple ID
When you first create an Apple ID (using your email address) a verification email will be sent to that address. If you sign in to your Apple ID from the link in that email, the email address will be verified as the primary email address for your Apple ID. You can also resend the email verification if the email address is not verified:
    1. Sign in to My Apple ID to manage your account information.
    2. Click Resend under Primary Email Address.
    3. Verify your changes by following the link in the email you will receive from Apple and signing back in to your account.
    Cheers!

  • I get duplicate emails for iCloud since converting to iOS 5.0

Since upgrading to iOS 5.0 and converting from MobileMe to ICloud I get duplicate emails for same acount.  It's like a MobileMe account and a Icloud account...
Plus I don't have any "On My Iphone" calanders, reminders, contacts, etc..  Not sure but maybe related...
    Help please and thanks you!

My recommendation would be to go to iTunes on the computer, under LIBRARY find the APPS tab and at the bottom it should say 9 Available Updates. Click on this, then you can update them from iTunes. To get them on your phone, go to Settings > General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync (if you have iCloud set up).

  • Moved to iCloud will Sync icon go away?  Any issues with separate emails for iCloud/iTunes?

Just moved from MobileMe to iCloud.  Think I made a boo boo using my me.com address to set it up. I don't use it for iTunes purchases (or anything else for that matter), so now I have the Cloud working with that email address and my iTunes with another that I purchase with.  I do share my iTunes account with my kids and thought maybe this was the way to go with iCloud.  They have their own me.com addresses in their iPod's for iCloud and my iTunes ID for iTunes purchases.  Just thinking I should have used my same iTunes account ID address accross the board.
Anyway, back to the other question...what happens to the Sync icon at the top of all our screens when using iCloud?  Isn't it just for MobileMe?  Will it go away in June when the service ends?  If I click it does it do anything now that I am using iCloud?  It seems there is a really long delay between iCal on my desktop iMac seeing changes made on my iPhone 4s or iCloud.  Is that normal?  Is there a way to manually "refresh" it on the desktop so it sees the changes faster?
    Thanks, Sandy

No. You will need to upgrade to Lion to sync with your computer. You can use the web version of icloud but it is clunky and doesn't work as well.
