Verification Failed - The connection to iCloud timed out
I keep getting the above message on my phone after installing ios8. What does it mean?
I have this problem too. I never had it before until I tried today to restore from a backup. When I tried to turn off the Find My iPhone app, I keep getting this message. The Share My iPhone setting was already turned off on my phone; I have tried running the power cycle three times. Still the problem persists.

Verification failed cannot connect to icloud
Trying to erase and reset my iPhone 5 (since I have activated an iPhone 6) and cannot get past the 'verification failed, cannot connect to iCloud'. I've been receiving the same message for 5 days.
Hello kmb1727,
To start with troubleshooting this issue where you are getting the error "Verification failed, cannot connect to iCloud," I'd like you to please go into your iPhone settings, and reset the network settings. After that, please try to erase your iPhone.
Reset iPhone settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset, then choose an option:
Reset Network Settings: When you reset network settings, previously used networks and VPN settings that weren’t installed by a configuration profile are removed. (To remove VPN settings installed by a configuration profile, go to Settings > General > Profile, select the profile, then tap Remove. This also removes other settings or accounts provided by the profile.) Wi-Fi is turned off and then back on, disconnecting you from any network you’re on. The Wi-Fi and “Ask to Join Networks” settings remain turned on.

I have a new iPad mini. trying to set up my iCloud. I have a wifi connection at a hotel. trying to connect to my iCloud account. Getting a message saying "Verification Failed" the request timed out. Can't seem to get a connection to internet even thou it tells me i have one.

If you see the white WiFi bars in the upper left corner, that simply means that the iPad has detected a WiFi network, and that does not mean that you are connected to the Internet.
Can you open web sites with Safari? -
I upgraded to 2 - i4 phones with 2 different phone numbers. I can sign on to iCloud on 1 phone but never on the other. I have changed my my password twice but no matter what I do, I still have the same problem. I keep getting a message "Verification Failed The request timed out" no matter how many times I try to sign on it always times out. Before I upgraded to the i4, I had a i3GS and had the same exact problem. Does anyone have any ideas???
Firstly, go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with the ID you use for iCloud. A new password will be sent to your associated email address.
If that doesn't work, for example because it's going to an address you can't access, then you will have to contact Support. Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; click 'See all products and services' at the bottom of the page. In the next page click 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID'. In the next page select 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password' and click 'Continue'. -
Ios 7 imessage "verification failed, the request timed out"
As many other people I have had a problem using Imessage on my ipad3, I have tried resetting the network, turning it off, hard reset, I even tried to reset all content and setting, but every time when I have to give my Apple ID password it gives the message "verification failed, the request timed out", the same message appears at imessage, facetime, I do have the right ID and password, I can acces the Appstore and itunesaccount, have tried signing in and out, I can't backup from my computer because it asks to turn of 'search my ipad' at icloud and there when I have to give my apple password and there again I get the same message "verification failed, the request timed out". My internet is working fine, iphone does not have the same problem, I have spent hours trying to solve it and nothing works, I hope someone can help me

The connection to the Ovi Maps server timed out.
Hi,
Is there some general known issue presently with the maps server? Yesterday, I hardly got anything loaded because the connection was dropped every now and then. Today, I can not get any map downloading properly started. I'd really need to get maps of Italy installed soon.
I'm using the lastest Ovi Suite (downloaded and installed yesterday) and N95 8GB. I can get the country list to Ovi Suite application, but when starting the actual download, there is always just "Connection time out, The connection to the Ovi Maps server timed out, Try again".
So, is it just me or is there something somebody should fix on server side?
Br,
MarkkuSame problem here with the latest versions of OVI. and am sick and tired of telling Nokia support the version number, phone type , firmware ,,,,,,. The problem appears to be at the map server being over loaded. Nokia support are un-willing to do a simple test of connecting to the server and see how slow it is. All they want is the model numer, soft ware version and most importantly if I am satisfied with the support and if I can complete their customer satisfaction survey!!!
Aplle - Google - ...be prepared for a lot of un-happy Nokia customers -
tried serveral times ot set up find my phone, but all i get this this message "mobile me verification failed the operation couldn't be completed account error 500"
Do apple actual read these forums and help anyone?Check that the date & time are set correctly. This solved it for me.
Good luck. -
Hi PI gurus,
Need some suggestions on one issue below -
Scenario - proxy (SAP) to SOAP (Web based system)
In the RWB Communication Channel Monitirong we are receiving the below error
" Error SOAP: call failed: java.io.IOException: Read timed out; HTTP 200 OK"
the request from XI system is going to target system and printing the lables (as per the functionality) with no issues but the comminication channel is giving the above error and this is causing the repeated sending the same request to target sytem and the data is printing repeateadly. This issues is occuring in Quality environment.
Strangley the same Interface with the same connectivity details is working fine in Development environment. But not working in Quality environment. Checked the firewalls settings on both in XI and Target system side and confirmed that everything is fine.
Below are the Logs both from Quality and developement are as follows
Quality ( Failure Case)
17.03.2011 07:19:59 Success SOAP: request message entering the adapter with user J2EE_GUEST
17.03.2011 07:25:03 Error SOAP: call failed: java.io.IOException: Read timed out; HTTP 200 OK
Development (Success ful)
17.03.2011 07:27:55 Success SOAP: request message entering the adapter with user J2EE_GUEST
17.03.2011 07:27:58 Success SOAP: completed the processing
When we checked with basis team on user id J2EE_GUEST, they confirmed that they are same in Development and Quality.
I repeat,, that the same target url and everthing is same in XI Configuration
Thanks in Advance. Points would be rewared for the best solution.
Thanks,
JitenderHI Jitender,
If your scenariois working in DEV and if it is not working in QAS.Could you please check if both the systems are at same patch levels..

Re: Connection Rejected:Login Timed Out
This sounds like a slow client to me. Specifically the client isn't sending
enough data within the first 9 seconds for the server to determine which
protocol the client is using.

Connection to partner timed out after 60s
Hi,
I have a scenario HTTP to RFC. Where the user posts the data using the URL I have provided to get the response back from SAP system.
Everything is working fine. But today we had a strange problem. When the user tries to post the data to integration server he is getting the response as below,
SAP Web Application Server
==========================
500 Connection timed out (-5)
Error: -5
Version: 6040
Component: ICM
Date/Time: Mon Oct 22 05:01:00 2007
Module: icxxthr_mt.c
Line: 2603
Server: ABCD_XWD_11
Detail: Connection to partner timed out after 60s
But after some time its working fine (without doing anything) without any problem. I am searching for the root cause of this problem. Any ideas on this?
Please help me out in this.
Thanks in advance,
Prasad Babu. The target system might be too busy to accept any new requests and that the reason it gave the error message.

Christophehi.
I'm not clear on this - what do you mean you are running a J2EE application from
an editor?
Also the error is coming from a servlet. Is one of your servlets calling a
getParameter() method after reading from the ServletInputStream()? If it is it
should be corrected.

Michael
