Verification of xVM VirtualBox Host Failed - VDA3.0

When I try to add a Desktop Provider, I get the following error upon verifiying the SSL:
Verification of xVM VirtualBox Host Failed
An internal error has occurred.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled both VirtualBox and VDA3.0. No luck.
Most frustrating!
thanks

Never mind. I got 3.1 to work, for this part of it anyway.

  • Verification of VirtualBox Host Failed: Unsupported VirtualBox version

I am configuring a VirtualBox Desktop Provider from the console. In Step 2.2 when i click next to veirfy the Certificate i get the following error
    Verification of VirtualBox Host Failed
Unsupported VirtualBox version 3.0.12 on host ultra24.wfoo.org
I used the VirtualBox from the bundled vbox_3.0.zip file and used vb-install. I did have the standalone vbox 3.0.12 installed before this. But i did remove the packages via pkgrm before running vb-install.
Any pointers would be appreciated as i need to get this machine ready today for a demo.

did you reboot the box after you uninstalled your first Virtualbox?, and reinstalling the new version, Virtualbox uses kernel modules and they someimes get wedged into the kernel and require a reboot to remove.

  • Unable to Contact xVM VirtualBox Host

    Hello,
I have a problem during the installation of the Sun VDI demo:
i reached the stage where i add a new desktop provider; and i receive an error:
"Unable to Contact xVM VirtualBox Host
No certificate was found on host <ip address> at port 443"
i did everything step by step and it seems correct and all the services are up.
    thanks in advance.

    hi,
i installed vbox 2.0.8 and the apache is running, and also i can access the host on port 443.
now i've noticed that during system boot i receive a message:
"svc:application/virtualbox/webservice:default: Method or service exit timed out. killing contract 41."
now when i check this service after the system is up:
    "svcs svc:application/virtualbox/webservice:default" it's online.
do you have any other ideas?

  • Virtualbox winxpguest fails to boot second time

I wanted to build a winxp sp2 vm on my arch acer revo, but I don't have a cdrom there.
I have VirtualBox installed on another machine which does have a cdrom and have built a machine there. Both machines are running Arch Linux latest with
    kernel 3.12.1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Nov 21 08:18:42 CET 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux
and the following vbox packages installed
    virtualbox 4.3.2-1
    virtualbox-ext-oracle 4.3.2-1
    virtualbox-guest-iso 4.3.2-1
    virtualbox-host-modules 4.3.2-4
and the running user is in the vboxusers group.
On the build machine everything runs fine for multiple boots etc etc.
However, when I transfer the vm to the revo I find that winxp will boot just once. It doesn't seem to matter whether  I just rsync across or use virtualbox export/import.
On the build machine I made sure that the VTx/AMD stuff is off (that option is not available on the revo), but clearly there's some residual issue.
I see this in the VBox log for the failing case
00:00:13.818617 Changing the VM state from 'POWERING_ON' to 'RUNNING'.

Googling doesn't seem to reveal a suitable fix that works.
Edit: I find that after a reboot of the host machine that the winxp guest will boot properly at least once, but after one or two reboots the guest again starts hanging.
Edit: The VM is not the issue, nor its source. I built a new VM with an arch linux iso on the REVO and that too will only boot after a host restart.

Thanks for your suggestions. Just to clarify what is happening and what I have done so far.
Every time the Satellite C660 notebook is turned on when it has been sitting turned off for more than an hour it will not boot.
    Power on goes like this
The Toshiba splash screen comes up
The blinking cursor on the top left appears then disappears
The screen goes blank (noticeably on still, but blank)
No matter how long it is left it stays at this screen
    The above has happens so
I press and hold the power button to turn it off
Press to turn the notebook back on - one out of three times it states the system failed to start - offering boot to safe mode or turn on normally
Pressing boot normally the computer will boot successfully
The Satellite C660 will run perfectly with no errors, failures or crashes
Reboot the Satellite C660 it will restart and boot correctly
Turn the notebook off and leave it for an hour and it will not boot.
I have scanned the original HDD and it has no errors or issues
I have performed a full system reinstall using manufacturers HDD recovery.
I have performed a full system reinstall from DVD recovery.
I have performed a full system reinstall from DVD on to a brand new hard drive recovery.
I have tested the brand new HDD no errors
I have replaced the RAM memory
There are no errors shown in system logs
I have set the BIOS to defaults
I have set the boot order to boot from HDD first
I have not been able to update the BIOS as when the Toshiba update or manual download and attempt to update the BIOS fails.
On a restart the computer boots as normal
When booting for the first time of the day or if the computer is off for an hour or more it will not boot into Windows

    Hi,
This JCO Exception caused by network problems, connection breakdowns, gateway problems, unavailability of the remote SAP system, etc.
What you can do is: Get the host of the SAP System from dev_jrfc.trc or the JRFC trace; ping the SAP system from command line; check routers, gateways, SAP systems
If an error has occurred on a lower communication layer, for example an RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION or RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE exception, have a look at the dev_jrfc.trc files. These files are written by JRFC and can be found in the directories j2ee/cluster/server* of the J2EE Application Server Installation.

  • NW2004s Connect to Message Server Host Failed - BW to Portals connection

    Hi,
I am trying to connect a SAP BW NW2004s Patch 8 system to a NW2004s Portal. All of the checks in RSPOR_SETUP are successful.
However when I try to launch a query from Bex Query it fails with the following message.
    "Connect to message server host failedConnect_PM  TYPE=B MSHOST=SAPMSCR6 GROUP=webshop1_biw R3NAME=CR6 MSSERV=01 PCS=1"
The message server entry in the System Landscape object for the BW Server is "SAPMSCR6". Is this right?
I have searched for information about this and can't find anything. I am sure it is something basic. As anyone else resolved this issue or do they have an idea what might be causing the problem?
    Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi, I think this might have todo with the fact that your Java stack wants to connect with a server from the same logon group called "PUBLIC".
Please make sure you added the same logon group "PUBLIC" to the ABAP Server.  Try transaction SMLG.
Also as posted above the SLD needs this info aswell.
After using the transaction SMLG, log in and out 5 times in a row to your ABAP stack using SAP GUI. This might actually force an update to the SLD.

I checked the services file and have the sapmsNSP entry.
I am able to launch an SAP transaction from System Administration -> Support
RZ70 from NSP also fails JCo error. SLD_UC RFC itself works fine and the JCo RFC provider SLD_UC program is running
WEB AS & ITS connections work fine.
User authentication is from backend, NSP.
I think I have gone thru all the logs but could not resolve the issue.
I appreciate any help on this,
    Victor

I tried to go thru the thread. I did not find any clue as why only server connectivity is failing. ABAP trial version is running fine and the NW trial version is working fine too. These run without crashing. I did a lot of customizing on the portal but dont see any issues except the System Connectivity. Like I mentioned I did UME configuration to point to NSP ABAP instance and I can log into the portal with user credentials that I use to login to ABAP.  I can launch webgui etc without any issues.

  • Strange "The verification of the card cryptogram failed"

    Hello all,
    I've got two identical cards JCOP41 V2.3.1, they've got exactly the same ATR: 3B FA 18 00 FF 81 31 FE 45 4A 43 4F 50 34 31 56 32 33 31 63
I've bought them to the same webshop,
the first one have been purchased 6 months ago and works very well both with gpshell 1.4.4 , and with gpj too
However when I use the same scripts to load applets in the second one (bought last month),I've got the famous error: "The verification of the card cryptogram failed"
For the moment, I made 3 attempts and I stopped to keep it from locking... I think I have again 7 tries , right ?
It seems similar to this: JCOP Cards: The verification of the card cryptogram failed
Here is the gpshell script that works with the one bought 6 months ago, and doesn't work with the new one: http://pastebin.com/VL2Mbcuq
and here are the logs with gpj,
with the card that works: http://pastebin.com/TmdCpnxM
with the one that doesn't work: http://pastebin.com/0MzWs9Ws
Is normal that two cards with the same ATR haven't the same behavior "out of the box" when I send them the same script ?
    Thanks

    Ok I understood !!!
In fact there's already an applet on this card, so the default security key must have been modified..., look at:
    http://www.cryptoshop.com/en/products/cardtoken/processorchipcards/3310101003.php
there's a little sentence at the bottom of the page:
*"This cards come with the AET-Applet to the JCOP card. There's no possibility that you apply your own Applets. If you require to use your own applets please inform us, so we can find alternatives fitting your needs."*
I find it is really not fair from cryptoshop, because when I bought the first card 6 months ago the name and the description of the product were exactly the same..., they just added a small sentence hidden at the bottom of the page..., and they didn't even change the name of the product nor its description...
Be careful guys when you buy on cryptoshop

  • Elom Java Console "Connect to remote host Fail"

    Hi,
I'm accessing an elom over the https interface, which works fine, however when trying to launch the Java console, the app starts but a dialogue box appears stating "Connect to remote host Fail!", and quits when I click ok. I'm using:
    Kubuntu 9.10
    Firefox 3.5.5
    Java 1.6.0_15
    Elom firmware version 2.70
I've also tried running against JRE 1.5, and tried saving the jnlp file and running that directly from javaws, all attempts produce the same result. I am able to connect to port 8890 from my machine. An strace seems to suggest that it sends and receives from port 8890 but then gets a Connection reset by peer.
Furthermore I've also tried running it through localhost using an ssh tunnel to the elom, again, same result.
I've now run out of ideas of what could be causing this issue, any help would be greatly appreciated.
    TIA
    Regards
    Craig

FYI, I downloaded the debian package of libstdc++5 from http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/g/gcc-3.3/libstdc++5_3.3.6-18_i386.deb
After installing that on Kubuntu, the console works fine.

  • Communication from the Oracle Mngt service host to the agent host failed

    Hi There,
I have installed Oracle 10.2.0.1 Grid software on a Solaris Zone. I plan to upgrade it to 10.2.0.5 very soon but would like to test the agent connection from a remote server first. I installed agent version 10.2.0.5 on the remote server. When I log into the oracle grid GUI I can see the host called "localhost" (this is not the correct name. It should be the server name) and the database instances on that server. However, when I select the localhost and press the configure button I get the following message:
Communication from the Oracle Mngt service host to the agent host failed. Refer to help for details localhost:cn=servername
The system administrators changed the /etc/hosts file to make sure the server was listed first fully qualified. For example: servername.domain.com instead of servername. However, this did no make a difference.
Could the issue be any of the following:
    - Oracle 10.2.0.1 GRID does not work with 10.2.0.5 agents ?
    - Oracle GRID in general don't work on SOLARIS Zones?
    Please help.
    Thanks.

OMS - -> Agent communication is not upward compatible
Downward, so Agent 10.2.0.1 --> OMS 10.2.0.5, should not be a problem.
In the last case however, you would not have access to any 10.2.0.5 Agent features.
So you can choose from 2 working options:
    1 - Install the 10.2.0.1 Agent
2 - Upgrade your OMS to 10.2.0.5 (preferable)

  • HOST Failed errors with multi-core processing in Compressor

I used Digital Rebellion's Pref Mgr to trash all prefs; then Compressor Repair to fix them.  Rebooted.  Stopped Qmaster.  Reset services.  Established 5 instances ( I have 8 core Xeon 2.8ghz Mac Pro ).  Restarted Qmaster sharing.  Opened FCP file, sent to Compressor.  Selected DVD settings.  Chose cluster I set up in Qmaster.  Submitted. Instant "HOST Failed" error messages on the five instances that appeared in Batch Monitor.
    Help.  Tired.  Frustrated.  ******.

If you really are running 10.6.2, I'd start by running all software updates.
See what happens if you export a 5 minute section of your movie, export that as a master file and bring that movie into a new Compressor job,
Post a screen shot of the Computer Sharing settings window to see whether anyone can spot something amiss.
