Verified new email address on Apple ID, but keep getting asked for password for old address

Months ago, I changed my Apple ID to reflect my new email address.  I received and verified the new address and deleted the old one from my Apple ID account page.  When I log in, there is no mention of my old address, and my new email address is recorded as the primary one.  However whenever I am asked for my Apple ID when I try to change or buy anything, the email address that comes up is my old one.  Needless to say no password I enter works, so there are many things that I'm currently unable to do.  This is driving me nuts.  Any ideas, please?

Did you change the email address used in your existing Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID with the new email address?
Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

    Hi there Katie,
    I just checked your account, and see that it's active. Are you trying to sign in via Adobe Reader? If so, please choose Help > Check for Updates in Reader and make sure that it-s up-to-date. The most current version, 11.0.07, should alleviate that sign-in error.

    The procedure is Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>Add another email address. The email address has to be a valid working email address, obviously. Apple should verify the email address and you have to go to the inbox of that email account, read the verification email from Apple and follow the inductions in the email in order to complete the verification. Then you go back to the settings, uncheck your email address and check the new email address to be used as the contact email address.

    If your email address is already tied to another Apple ID, you cannot use that email address to set up another Apple ID, you can only use that email address once. That email address will always be tied to that old Apple ID,
    You can change the email address that you use for your Apple ID, but you cannot attach one email address to two Apple ID's.

    Rather than a "bug" - it appears to be some bizarre issue with the Apple servers that has been going on for a few days now. Users have had a few different issues with the App Store and a couple of them seem to have been fixed, but now this issue has cropped in the last couple of days.
    No matter what we call this - it is not a necessary procedure, it's just fluke thing that needs to be addressed by Apple. This is not normal protocol for downloading apps from the App Store.

  • I want to move Lightroom 5 (stand-alone) to a new PC but keep getting asked to purchase a CC subscription (I have Photoshop on CC already).

    Here is the thing:
    I have a subscription to CC, Photoshop CC.
    I have a full version of Lightroom which is NOT the CC version.
    I would like to now move Lightroom to my new PC. I downloaded Lightroom but it will not accept my original serial number.
    Instead, I get asked to sign up for a CC subscription containing Lightroom and Photoshop, the latter I have already.

  • Ovi Mail, I can log in, but keep getting asked to ...

    I'm at the end of my tether here, Nokia keep refering me to Yahoo and Yahoo keep refering me to Nokia, what a shambles.
    As you can plainly see, because I can write this post I'm logged in. Now when I try and access my inbox all I get is a Yahoo! sign in box asking me to verify my password after briefly, for a split second seeing my inbox. I verify the correct password, and once again I see my inbox breifly before I get taken back to the Yahoo! verify password box. This box shows my *******@ovi.com email addy (starred out characters is my username - obviously) and just asks for my password.
    Fortunately I can still access my email through Yahoo's mobile site on my phone and the PC, which seems a little bizarre. 
    I don't want to delete my .ovi account and start again, I've had it for donkeys years, it is known by all who know me and I'm rather attached to it. However my faith in Nokia and Yahoo! are being severly tested by this issue that has taken up far too much of my spare time in the past few weeks. Please help,I'm currently waiting for Nokia's latest annoydyne response, after finally being able to get in here with the help of a Yahoo! person on their chat facility.
    I enclose a screen shot of the very annoying 'log in box" box that reappears time after time, I know it has my email addy clearly in view TBH I don't care I just want this sorting so I have provided all the information I can.

    I've done that svi78, and to be fair I had a lengthy chat with a Nokia person when they called me back. 
    I provided my email address and password (I was at the end of my tether, and there's nothing sensitive about my .ovi.com addy so I gave access to my account). They tried it and said everyrthing is working OK he even asked for my permission to read an (oviously) spam email aloud to me to prove it was working, and now because it worked for them they feel they cannot help any more and the case is closed.
    I can still only access my Ovi mail through uk.m.yahoo.com/
    Yahoo's! mobile site. I can do this via PC, any PC but out of the six PC's I've tried all with different isps I still get stuck in a feed back loop on any desktop Nokia or yahoo! site when I try to access my mail, and this is also true of my phone's web browser. It's a complete mystery. As I say I get a Yahoo! "Please verify your password" box, I verify, see my Nokia/ovi mail in box for around half a second before being taken back to the Yahoo "Please verify your password" page and box. 
    I and they (Nokia) donot understand why I am having this issue and seeing they can't repeat it (I wish I couldn't ! LOL) case closed.

    I have same problem too, my free month subscription is not working. i reveived an email that it has been activated. However I can't call. it says you need to top up first. 
    Also the email which I received  it says that 
    We have stored your payment method and you will be charged each time your subscription automatically renews until you cancel. 
    May I know how much this would be?  It is based on free month total calls? Please explain.

    ALWAYS start your own topic.
    Your account shows that you are attempting to call outside your Subscription coverage. India is not included in the Unlimited World list of destinations. To place calls to India please purchase an appropriate Subscription or some Skype Credit.

    I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

    If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad. If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

Note that the new email address shows when I log into my Apple account and shows it was verified. For some reason the system isn't updating to the new email in ALL places.

    I changed my account nearly a year ago and everything was fine, then about a month ago if the phone is rebooted (iPhone4S) it is constantly prompting me for a password for the OLD email password which I do not remember. When this do try to reset , it resets my new apple id. When is occurs it renders my phone useless as I cannot access even my phone even if I have to call emergency if there is one.
