Verify my mobile number without text

I am currently deployed in the military and i am unable to verify my new mobile number via text. Is there another way to do this?

    some assitance required. i am trying to register my mobile number with skype. i hit send, a box opens asking me to enter the code that was sent to my phone, i have tried this twice, there is no code being received to my mobile number. what to do?

    Did you get an answer, Helen.  I just set up my Skype account, and when I got to the lat step -- no code was sent to my mobile phone.  Checked for accuracy of number and all.  Don't know where to go from here.

    when I received the confirmation code and put it in skype it was incorrect and each time it sends the same one, still incorrect, is there an alternate way to confirm my number?

    Surprisingly, I have exactly the same problem with yours.
    The difference is that , I just got my C6-00 a few days ago, on August 4, 2011.
    So, that's meant , it's already more than 1 year since you posted your question and no relpy whatsoever !.
    I wish people at NOKIA read this. I also found that their OVI support doesn't  help at all.
    Please somebody , who has the same problem, speak up.
    I also feel helpless, the sycn doesn't work either between my new C6-00 and my old LG GW300.  ( the message: 'phone not supported').
    So here I am, stuck with more than 500 contacts in my previous phone, which I can't transfer it. to my NOKIA C6-00. What a waste if I have to retype it again .......

    Hi, I received a Summer SIM yesterday (the 100GB/month SIM) and put it into my iPhone 4S. I registered with the EE website and received the verification text, all good so far... When I go to top-up my account online with £10 it comes up with a red error message at the top of the screen: "Sorry, something's gone wrong""We can't find a mobile number for this account. Please associate one with it" screenshot:http://i.imgur.com/nt4Q5sA.png Yet despite this if I look in "my account" it lists my account number and mobile number ( https://myaccount.ee.co.uk/my-account/ ) I tried topping up anyway (despite the red warning) but it just gave me an error at the end ("TOP UP MY DEVICE - ERROR") I also tried going via http://ee.co.uk/ee-and-me/top-up-pay-as-you-go but again I got an error I don't have any credit on my new SIM so I can't call and pay 25p to speak to someone - are there any mods/customer service people on the board that can sort out my account? This is not a great start to using the EE network :/

You need to phone EE. The problem is to speak to someone you need 25p credit on your SIM (which you won't have if you're a brand new customer wanting to top up for the first time) I've found a mobile number for customer services (07953 966250) on the forum that I called from a different mobile and after 15minutes on the phone they have now topped up £10 on my account. I checked and the red warning no longer appears on the top up page. I'm still waiting to see if the "SUMMER100" promo has been properly applied and if the " STOP PACK" / "YES" works, but at least I am now over the first hurdle.

    If you're not able to activate iMessage with your phone number, these troubleshooting steps can help:

    If you see "Waiting for Activation" when trying to activate your phone number with iMessage or FaceTime on iPhone
    To resolve this issue:
    Ensure that you have an active Internet connection. You can complete activation using Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. If you need help connecting to Wi-Fi, follow these steps.
    Update to the latest version of iOS.
    Ensure that FaceTime hasn't been restricted: tap Settings > General > Restrictions > FaceTime.
    Ensure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone: tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
    Note: If Set Automatically is on but the incorrect time zone appears, turn Set Automatically off and choose the correct time zone, date, and time.
    Verify that you can send SMS messages. You need a valid SMS messaging plan to activate FaceTime and iMessage.
    Contact your carrier to verify that there are no restrictions or blocks on text messages. Blocks on text messaging will prevent iMessage and FaceTime registration.
    If "Waiting for Activation" still appears after you perform these steps, turn FaceTime and iMessage off and on in Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime. You may need to wait up to 24 hours to complete activation. Most attempts will take less than an hour, but some attempts may take up to 24 hours.     Double click the home button and swipe up the messages app to stop it, then open the app again. This pretty much completely stops the process and freshly opens it again, resolving problems at times. I have had this happen before as well on my iPad, I get a banner, check messages, and nothing new is there.
    If that doesn't work, close the app like suggested above, but then restart the phone by holding down the home and lock button for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears.

  • I have just upgrade my Iphone 5 to IoS7.03 and one particular mobile number under my contact will not deliver when I send a text message.

    I can not send a text to a particular mobile number in my contact after the ioS7.03 update.
    I can receive text from this number and I can call but I can not send.
    I deleted the contact and all previous messages and reentered the mobile number in contact. Text messages are still undelivered.
    Any suggestions>

    I did solve the problem. I assumed because the message bubble was green that my friend had another type of phone. I was completely wrong! After I just made sure iMessage was on and restarted my phone it works just fine! So I guess iMessage was the problem ☺️

    I’d be happy to help with this messaging error! This will be due to the device storing the number incorrectly. Please do the following to resolve the issue:
    Delete texts from both old number and new
    Delete any call logs including these numbers
    Delete old number from contacts
    Delete new number from contacts
    Restart device
    Send text to the new number directly (do not save as contact)
    Once the text sends successfully, you can then save as a new contact

  • Why can't a Google Voice # be entered as a mobile number, it can accept texts?

    I want to get texts about my bill and payments, but I can't enter a Google Voice # to do it.  
    Amazon can send me texts on that number without any problem.

    Verizon's official support channels are through phone and chat.  They don't do email support.
    The "Contact Us" link will give you the phone and chat options, plus the forums.  Verizon doesn't do as good a job as I'd like explaining that the forums are primarily for peer-to-peer support.  We "Community Leaders" remind them of this when given the opportunity.  In the meantime, we all have to follow Verizon's rules and procedures, as this is their sandbox.
    Verizon does have folks who monitor social media including these forums, Twitter and others.  It's up to them to decide if an issue will be escalated to their support team.
    Your question about Google Voice numbers may or may not be noticed.  It doesn't appear to me to be a simple support question as it most likely involves the infrastructure of telephone numbers.  To do what you want will most likely require changes to their systems and may involve systems at Google as well.  In other words, it's most likely not as simple as changing a setting on your account.

  • Cannot send text message to one mobile number

    Recently moved from iphone 4 to iphone 6 and changed the carrier from Tmobile to Verizon, post this change I am not able to send text message to one specific mobile number. The other person can send text to my number. The message sent to this specific phone number from iphone 6 appears green as sent but is not received by the other specific number. I can send messages to all the other friends but not to this specific number. The other person reached to his carrier (Tmobile) and they confirmed that it is not coming in their network after doing the testing from my end. This problem started when moved from Tmobile to verizon.

    This was already checked with the Tmobile carrier and their technicians as test from verizon side. It is not that it is not being received on their network, the issue is it is not being sent out from Verizon network. I have checked in my online account of Verizon with my SMS usage and it shows that no SMS has been sent out to this T-mobile number. I have tried sending SMS 30 - 40 times and there is no record in my online account about the SMS sent out. This means that the SMS is not going out from verizon network to this specific user. I hope I have made myself clear here in terms of issue definition. I have tried all possible options of deleting message thread, deleting contacts at both the sides, resetting network, switching off imessage, Airplane mode on-off, sending SMS by adding 001 to the mobile number etc.
    Kindly help urgently.
