Verify package exists and that you can access it??????

Hey I'm a new vista user and am trying to install itunes but every time I try I get "This installation package can not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the vendor of this package."

I am assuming that this is a new installaion of iTunes, i.e you are not upgrading from a previous installation.
I don't know that particular error message, I think it would be a good idea to download a fresh copy of the latest iTunes, select save rather than run and save iTunessetup on your desktop. Also download the stand alone version of Quicktime.

There is an article on trouble installing iTunes here:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976
Review the advice on trouble installing iTunes. Was your error message associated with the error number 2738? That is specifically associated with Visual Basic script problems which the Apple article deals with. They have been quite common with Vista users.
Then try installing the stand alone Quicktime and see if that goes OK and that Quicktime works, then try installing iTunes. If you get any more errors, give them in full with error numbers.
