it says i logged in on another device and i have to verify payment information, but i dont use the credit card anymore, i use itunes cards, and it wont let me download apps now?

Mate you need to contact customer services. I had an exact or similar problem with not being able to connect to buy/update apps and the whole "method of payment declined". If you follow the link below you will/maybe get some ideas on what to do. But I would contact customer services asap to help sort matter.

We have been using Apple TV without problems. Now it has just asked me to go to the itunes store and verify my payment information. I have gone to the itunes store and opened my account. The information is correct but I can't see where or how I verify it.

I noticed this question was posted in May of 2014 and there still isn't a productive answer. We're having trouble making purchases on our Apple TV because it's asking us to verify. We put in our CC security code and asks us to go to the iTunes Store to verify payment information. Apple is usually really good at producing simple user navigation; however, this is proving to be a nuisance. Having to make purchases on my iPad or computer, wait for the download to finish, then access my content.
Can someone provide step-by-step instructions as to how to verify my payment information "on my computer", "in the iTunes Store".

Each time I attempt to rent a movie via AppleTV, I get an error message stating: Verfication required; go to iTunes on your computer to verify payment information. How do I do this once I'm on my Account in iTunes???

On iTunes, select "iTunes Store" in the sidebar. Then select your ACCT up at the top left of the window then you'll see ACCOUNT and you can EDIT and change your charge cards, etc.

I have the same issue, but in my case it will not let me change the payment method to None without entering a valid credit card. I used a prepaid card a while ago and I don't have a credit card so how do I change my payment method if it "requires" me to have a valid credit card first?

Unable to download - asking to verify payment information - Apple TV 1st Generation

I'm trying to download a movie from iTunes but my Apple TV 1st Gen keeps asking me to go to iTunes on my computer to verify payment information. When I go to iTunes and double check all of my account information, it's accurate, but there's no where that says I need to verify payment for the movie. I have double checked the Apple TV settings and I have the account setup correctly. I've updated all software on my computer and on the Apple TV. What I am I doing wrong?

I went through **** on this problem too. I used to be able to rent movies no problem then poof I had to verify my
payment information. I presume you are paying with credit card. You have to make sure you enter your name, address, etc. EXACTLY like it is on your credit card statement and that means case sensitive too.
What I ended up doing is start over, open an entirely new account with a different email address instead of making changes to the old one. It worked and I am now spending money on movies again.

If an iTunes Store account was originally set up with a credit card, the information on file needs to be valid and active for all purchases, even if the purchase isn't charged (free apps). If you need to update your billing info, you may find the following article helpful:

HT3702 Cannot verify payment information!

My iphone, after changing my payment information, is asking me to continue to a new screen to verify payment information (I changed the information through my pc). However, this new screen never loads! I can't download anything!!!!
So, I have a phone where one cannot update anything or download anything new.

Not sure which payment method you are using but for me it worked to just click "finish" - I haven't changed anything, just confirmed my data. If you are using a credit card, maybe you must verify the device again In this case, enter the expiration date and the security code, check your address and phone number and confirm it.

Seriously, though, there could be RF interference from other sources, like other electronic equipment in your house or if there are any radio transmitters nearby. The only certain solution for ATV wifi problems is to use an Ethernet cable.
i can file transfer 22-26MBPS down and 3 up over the airport in other conditions (bandwidth speed meters). my airport extreme uses afp and FTP to transfer files blazingly fast, so fast it makes me blush. my apple tv. now. we do own a micro. it does get used every other day or so. could that be it? when not used on another floor it somehow interferes? my AV system a few feet away has an am and fm band capabilities on it although i do not think they have ever been used. on my airport extreme i have the "use interference robustness" box checked. i can sit next to my apple tv with my laptop an get great speeds.
so. i am still confused. could it just be the apple tv is telling me a new an improved one is coming out soon that i get to buy so i stop being an irritated jerk my wife hates using he tv with cuz my "apple tv toy" doesnt work right?

I just spoke to a rep from Apple. If u got an app that's costs money and u thought it went through because your balance was low, it will give it to u but later ask u for payment info if u didn't have enough money on your card. U have to go to ur itunes purchases and correct the issue.

I added my iTunes account to my new iPhone and ever since I have not been able to download any apps or music. It asks me to sign in and verify billing information and that my card is declined. There is nothing wrong with my card. I've been using it with my iPod for a few years. This problem happened right after adding my iTunes account info on to my new phone. Does anyone know why? Do I need to change something or verify that its me accessing my iTunes account from a new device?

I've had the same nightmare as many. I don't use a credit crd, only iTunes gift cards. Today all my devices would not let me buy anything even with over a hundred dollars credit.
I tried updating billing info, deleting and re-entering and rebooting and all that.
The final solution was to change my password on iTunes via my macbookpro making sure it had one capital letter and one number (my previous password had neither). I then updated all the other devices with that same password and my appleID.
Everything now works.
There was clearly something in the last software update that affected security, tightening up of password rules, but apple just never bothered to tell anyone of this issue.
