Verifying domain for Federation

I am working on federating my domain with AzureAD. I have done trials with dummy names and they have worked fine. However, I get an error on the *Second* time I run New-MsolFederatedDomain (after the TXT record has been created and propagated).  It
says:
Unable to verify this domain because it is used elsewhere in Office 365.  Remove the verified domain from the other service before adding it here.
I know that we don't have any other properties in O365 and that it hasn't been verified there (unless there is some new or old verification method not requiring DNS records).  How do I go about finding and disabling the offending use?

Hi,
Thanks for your post.
Did you have your domain added to Office365?
If yes, you have to convert your domain to a federated domain.

Did you refer to this article about How to update or repair the settings of a federated domain in Office 365, Azure, or Intune

  • Lab setup multiple SIP domains for federation

I have been setting up multiple Lync 2013 lab environments and have a question about my external DNS environment. I have installed server 2012R2 on the host running the lab with its own domain (contoso.local). I have this server which hosts a separate domain,
Hyper-V and a CA, this is what I am using for my external environment. The network IP is 10.0.0.0/16.
I set up a server called vRouter that has 3 NICs. In Hyper-v I have 3 virtual switches configured. One for the External environment - 10.0.0.0/16 (not necessary for lab, setup to transfer needed files from internet to VMs), one for 192.168.1.0/24, and one
with 192.168.2.0/24. The virtual router has RRAS installed and can route traffic between 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24.
My VMs for the lab are as follows.
    1test.local
    AD1.1test.local -192.168.1.100
    FE1.1test.local - 192.168.1.200
    Edge1 - 192.168.1.210int, 10.0.5.10ext
    2test.local
    AD2.1test.local -192.168.1.100
    FE2.1test.local - 192.168.1.200
    Edge2.1test.local - 192.168.1.210int, 10.0.6.10ext
Both environments have users that can log into lync and message each other.
When installing the Edge servers I used the same FQDN and IP for the external interface since all ports are open and firewalls have been disabled internally. I installed the internal certificate from the AD server which has CA role in each environment. On
the external device I used the Host's CA to get certificates for both Edge servers. The Edge servers have 2 NICs one on their expected internal environment with no Gateway. And one on the external environment. These servers are not part of any domain. however
I did add the contoso.local to the primary DNS suffix when domain membership changes under system properties. I then created the two following A records on the host computer (10.0.0.0\16 network, contoso.local) to be able to see router their external traffic.
    Edge1.contoso.local 10.0.5.10
    Edge2.contoso.local 10.0.6.10
Both of these FQDNs are what is in my topology for the Access Edge service, Web Conferencing Edge Service, and A/v Edge Service with the same IP using different ports in both environments.
Both environments are set up to support the other SIP domain. However when I try to add a user from the other domain I cannot communicate with that user nor see their presence.
I looked over my external DNS settings and realized that I had not set a SRV record on the 10.0.0.0\16 network(external).
I then realized that if I try to add the traditional _sipfederationtls._tcp.contoso.local I will have 2 conflicting entries.
    One for:
    _sipfederationtls._tcp.contoso.local - 10.0.5.10 (1test.local edge)
    and one for:
    _sipfederationtls._tcp.contoso.local - 10.0.6.10 (2test.local edge)
Should I spin up another VM and make that a DC with a CA and trust it to the host computer, set up conditional forwarders. Something like Trust.local and correct the DNS, topology builder FQDN, and certificates on the second edge server?
    Edge2.trust.local
Or can I add a new zone to my host computer then correct the DNS, topology builder FQDN, Certificates?
Or am I missing another external DNS record on my contoso.local environment?
Can I set up a CNAME entry that will mask the second edge server?
    Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks

If contoso.com is not a sip domain, then you won't need that DNS record at all.  Those records are autodiscover records that Lync uses based upon the sip domain.
    So you'd need
    _sipfederationtls._tcp.1test.local
    and
    _sipfederationtls._tcp.2test.local
What effectively happens, is when someone on the outside tries to IM
[email protected], their Lync edge server will see the 1test.local and query the appropriate above record for it so it knows where to communicate.

  • Regulatory Domain for Aruba

    Hi guys,
i want to install AIR-CAP2602I-x-K9 in Aruba island but i don't know which regulatory domain to be used there ? any help ?
    Regards,
    Amir S Ahmed

    Hello,
As per your query i can suggest you the following  solution-
Regulatory Domains: (x = regulatory domain)
Customers are responsible for verifying approval for use in their individual countries. To verify approval and to identify the regulatory domain that corresponds to a particular country, visit: http://www.cisco.com/go/aironet/compliance.
Not all regulatory domains have been approved. As they are approved, the part numbers will be available on the Global Price List.
For more information please refer to the link-
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps5678/ps12534/data_sheet_c78-709514.html
    Hope this will help you.

  • Can I use a domain for one site and mobile me for a different site?

Can I use a domain for one site and mobile me for a different site?
I have two sites, I would like to have up and I would like to do one through a domain and one through mobileme is this possible?

Yes you can. You can use the CNAME method of forwarding for the first site (the top site in iWeb) and use the MMe URL for your account for the other site: http://web.me.com/YourAccount_Name/SiteName/

  • Re-Occurring Blue Screen~Dump files included~Please Help~Unable to verify timestamp for ntkrnlpa.exe

    Hello,
Starting yesterday I started getting the BSOD. I have uploaded my dump files to this dropbox account:
    www.dropbox.com/sh/w3ryago8pfcw2y2/AAAR5i6Crx5q-p--xdESJjnMa
There are lots of them as my PC crashed many times.
I attempted to analyze them with windbg but all I can see is:
Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for ntkrnlpa.exe
Also I ran sfc /scannow and it found no integrity violations.
After the first BSOD I was barely able to get Windows to load without another immediate crash. I couldn't boot my PC last night but today seems okay so far. CPU temp was fine, actually quite cool as I had my window open right by the PC with the side off
the case and it was cold last night. Today, so far, seems to be running okay...so far anyways..
Windows update recently installed a driver for my on-board video card (Nvidia GeForce 6150n) on the 18th I think as I started using a 2nd monitor using the on-board card in addition to my PCI Express Ati Radeon HD. To use the second screen, I switched
the primary video in CMOS to on-board instead of PCI-E 16x so the on-board Nvidia card would be enabled.
I also installed brand new ram (4gb DDR2) about a month ago
and a new power supply 2 months ago. The power supply is not "exactly" the same voltage as the one that was in there but it's dang close. But I don't have any power leeching components.
Other than that nothing new has happened. After I got the crash, I tried to enter CMOS yesterday and it glitched out on me twice. I hope it's not my motherboard..
I am willing to do a system re-format as I am running Windows 7 32bit on a 64bit AMD so I wouldn't mind having 64 bit Windows anyways but I'd like to know what the problem is before I do this. Thank you.

    Hi,
All of the attached DMP files are of the
    WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124) bug check.
A fatal hardware error has occurred. This fatal error displays data from the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA).
If we run an !errrec on the 2nd parameter of the bug check (address of the WER structure) we get the following:
    BugCheck 124, {0, 867d2024, b2000010, 10c0f}

    Severity : Fatal
    Error : BUSLG_OBS_ERR_*_NOTIMEOUT_ERR (Proc 0 Bank 4)
    Status : 0xb200001000010c0f
This is a pretty complicated error compared to other possibilities it could have been, as it implies you have a hardware fault somewhere along the bus (not very definitive on its own).
In our case however, we can go a bit deeper with this one:
    0: kd> .formats 0xb200001000010c0f
    Evaluate expression:
    Hex: b2000010`00010c0f

    Float: low 9.61613e-041 high -7.45059e-009
    Double: -7.41853e-068
Now that we have this info, we'd refer to the AMD manual:
    63 VAL Valid
    62 OVER Status Register Overflow
    61 UC Uncorrected Error
    60 EN Error Condition Enabled
    59 MISCV Miscellaneous-Error Register Valid
    58 ADDRV Error-Address Register Valid
    57 PCC Processor-Context Corrupt
    56–32 Other Information
    31–16 Model-Specific Error Code
    15–0 MCA Error Code
In our specific case, bit 63 of the status code is set, so it is valid. Bit 62 of the status code is
unset, therefore there's no overflow. Bit 61 implies an uncorrected error has occurred, and Bit 60 implies an error condition was enabled. Last but not least, Bit 57 is
set and implies a corrupted processor context.
If we take a look at the last 15 bits of the binary:
    Binary: [trimming] 00001100 00001111
In our case, the MSB in binary (00001100 ), implies a bus error occurred (as I mentioned above). We need to further decode the bits to understand more:
    [0000]1100 00001111
    0000 = 1PPT RRRR IILL.
    PP = Participation Processor, T = Timeout,
    R = Memory Transaction Type, I = Memory and/or I/O, and finally
    L = Cache Level.
With this said, it appears we actually have a faulty motherboard as the processor seems fine, etc. The only other thing I see possible is bad RAM, which you can figure out whether or not is the case by running no less than ~8 passes of Memtest:
    Memtest86+:
    Download Memtest86+ here:
    http://www.memtest.org/
    Which should I download?
You can either download the pre-compiled ISO that you would burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the auto-installer for the USB key. What this will do is format your USB drive, make it a bootable device, and then install the necessary
files. Both do the same job, it's just up to you which you choose, or which you have available (whether it's CD or USB).
Do note that some older generation motherboards do not support USB-based booting, therefore your only option is CD (or Floppy if you really wanted to).
    How Memtest works:
Memtest86 writes a series of test patterns to most memory addresses, reads back the data written, and compares it for errors.
The default pass does 9 different tests, varying in access patterns and test data. A tenth test, bit fade, is selectable from the menu. It writes all memory with zeroes, then sleeps for 90 minutes before checking to see if bits have changed (perhaps because
of refresh problems). This is repeated with all ones for a total time of 3 hours per pass.
Many chipsets can report RAM speeds and timings via SPD (Serial Presence Detect) or EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles), and some even support changing the expected memory speed. If the expected memory speed is overclocked, Memtest86 can test that memory performance
is error-free with these faster settings.
Some hardware is able to report the "PAT status" (PAT: enabled or PAT: disabled). This is a reference to Intel Performance acceleration technology; there may be BIOS settings which affect this aspect of memory timing.
This information, if available to the program, can be displayed via a menu option.
Any other questions, they can most likely be answered by reading this great guide here:

    Hi,
you see that message: "The password must be at least 8 alphanumeric characters with at least one number or special character." ?
The password: The weblogic password you provide when prompted
must be at least: minimal condition for secure passwords enforced on WLS by default
at least 8 alphanumeric characters: no 7 but eight or more characters
with at least one number or special character: password should have a number in it or an "@" "-" or similar
    E.g.
    weblogic1

  • Will Cumulative Update 12 for SQL Server 2008R2 SP2 fix: Warning: Unable to Verify TimeStamp for Path\ProgramName?

    Hello,
I had a server crash recently and our outsource hosting tech support suggested applying Cumulative Upade 12 for SQL server 2008R2 SP2 to fix the issue.  The exception from our dump file "Warning: Unable to Verify TimeStamp for Path\ProgramName"
is not in the list of hotfixes for this CU.  Do you know if this will fix this issue?  The CU warns not to apply the CU if your issue id not addressed by the CU.  Here is a portion of the dump file with the relevant error:

    Thank you,
    Steve -

The error message appears to be related to a debug session and not come from the actual crash.
So all I know is that you hade a server crash. I don't even know exactly what that means. Did Windows bite the dust? Or was it only SQL Server?
Assuming the latter, I would expect the SQL Server errorlog to have some information (and that would be ERRORLOG.1 or earlier, since the server have been restarted), but if SQL Server died the output may be incomplete.
There may be also dump files, but as I rarely look into these, I am not sure how to interpret them. But I am quite confident that "Unable to verify TimeStamp..." is not the reason SQL Server went down.
I would suggest the following course:
    *  If the server is not critical, do nothing. As long as it has onlyl happened once, it has only happened once.
    *  If the server is critical, open a case with Microsoft if you are not able to figure out the reason yourself. The key here is "Unknown exception - code 000042ac".
    *  If it happens again, you should absolutely open a case. An important thing here is whether the stack dump is identical or something different. If the stack dumps are identical, you may have hit a bug in SQL Server or the OS, and applying CUs or OS
fixes could help if it is a known issue. If the stack dump is something else, you have ghosts in the machine - that is, bad hardware.

  • Creating Iweb seperate domains for multiple sites DIDNT WORK

Hi! Any help would be much appreicaited!
I am creating mutiple websites in iWeb 09'. All 3 of my websites have been stored under 1 domain file on my mac. I have read numerous discussion boards stating the steps of how to seperate each of the created sites from the one domain file, into mutiple domain files. I followed the steps on this website :
    http://lmsdiweb.wikispaces.com/Saving+Locally
I moved the Domain folder out of its original location into a new folder on my harddrive entitled "Sites". Then i made sub folders within that folder and duplicated the domain 3 times and placed each copy in those folders. then i double clicked on the domain for my 1st site, opened iWeb, and then deleted the other sites i did not want on this new "domain" file i created and hit saved. This is exactly what the website said to do to create the seperate domain files for each seperate site. It then said repeat for each site, deleting the sites that are not needed on that domain.
All of that being said, it didnt seem to work when i tried to open the 2nd copy of the domain. When iWeb opened after double clicking the 2nd domain copy, it did not open and show me all 3 sites as it should have, it opened to show me the one site that i just "saved" after deleting the other sites for the previous domain i was trying to create.
I'm afraid i posisbly lost my other 2 sites. I backed up my first initial "domain" file which had all 3 sites within it on my external hard drive, and when i double clicked on that to make sure my sites weren't lost forever, same thing happened and only my lastest site that i saved on the 1st attempt to seperate domain files is visable on my iWeb.
Did i loose everything i created in my other 2 sites? How do i get them back? What did i do wrong? Any help is much appreiciated as i have a feeling i might have made a serious mistake and need some help figuring this all out!
    Thank you!
Also, I published all of my sites "to a folder" on my hard drive before doing this as well. Is there any way to take the published folder contents and put my site back on iweb for editing again?

With three sites in a domain file here's how I would do it.  Create 3 copies of your domain file and name them for the three website, i.e "website1.sites, website 2.sites, etc.
With the application discussed in the text below open website1.sites and delete website 2 and website 3 from it and save.  Open website 2.sites and delete 1 and 3.  Do the same for website 3.sites.
Then use the application mentioned below to open iWeb and select the website you want.
In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or Mountain Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
    tell application "iWeb" to activate
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder.  So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.
NOTE:  iWeb 2 is not compatible with Mt. Lion and has trouble saving to the hard drive.  It's suggested you obtain iWeb 3

  • My ipod touch kept crashing and not loading apps, syncing did not solve prblem so i did the 'restore' option. now it has been stuck 'verifying restore' for more than 8 hrs!! help

i pod touch is stuck 'verifying restore' for the last 8 hrs... help??

Try putting the iPod into DFU mode and restoring again:
    http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034
If that still doesn't work, then the jailbreak may have cause a corruption which is now fatal; that's not uncommon with jailbroken devices. If that is indeed the case, your iPod may be irrecoverable and you'll be shopping for a new one.
    Good luck.

  • Creating domain for BI Publisher issue

    Hello,
Im trying to create domain for BI Publisher 11.1.1.3.0.
When configuring JDBC there are two component schemas: BIP Schema and OWSM MDS Schema. For database I have MS SQL Server configured with required RCU schemas.
The strange part: when testing the configuration, one fails - the BIP Schema. In the result log I see a very strange ""SELECT 1 FROM DUAL"" test which is obviously for oracle and not MS SQL.
For the 2nd schema, the one with successful test, there is a valid test query.
Please help me understand what am I doing wrong, why is there an Oracle test query for a MS SQL database and finally why on earth only one test fails because for both i have the same database type.
The version of fusion middleware is the one that came with BI installer 11g (11.1.1.3.0)
If wonder why am I doing this manually it is because the BI installer hangs at step 11 Creating Domain for about 100 minutes and then exits with timeout. great programming!
Please give me any hint, advise i can use to make BI Publisher run.
    thank you

  • Pros and cons in setting AD domain trust into my AD domain for more than 10+ AD domain and some with same FQDN or label ?

    Hi,
Can someone please share what is the pros and Cons of trusting AD domain for more than 10 different AD sites into my existing single domain forest let say ParentCompany.com ?
At the moment I only have one single forest AD domain with the Domain and Forest functionality Windows Server 2003. The main domain controller FSMO role holder is in the Data Center spread across three different VMs running on Windows Server 2008 R2.
The main/parent company has acquired smaller business chain of 15+ offices in which they have their own Domain Controller and also their own domain, sometimes they also got the same AD domain between them (no trust or whatsoever in those 15+ AD domain).
Sounds crazy but yes, there is no standardization in them or whoever manage their IT infrastructure previously.
I'm now considering what are the benefits of creating the AD domain and trust versus importing those AD objects into my domain and then decommission them.
No need to worry about Exchange Server since all of the user in those sites connecting to the RDS to my ParentCompany.com terminal servers.
My requirements or goal are as follows:
    1. Simplify the AD domain structure & maintenance
    2. Try to avoid the disruptions of the user in terms of downtime and selecting multiple different domain everytime they login to their PC or SharePoint sites.
any kind of help and suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I think you mean 10 AD domains.
Managing multiple domains can be difficult for administration. I usually recommend using a single domain in a single forest with OUs to separate resources whenever it is possible.
However, if you can't do that then you can simply create trust relationships between your domains. The advantage is that you can enable access to resources to different domains. I do not see cons here.

I would recommend consolidating your domains into a single one. ADMT is a migration tool that you can use. The advantage would be the ease of administration. Also, by having multiple DCs for the same domain across sites, you will take benefit of High Availability
    of your and DRP.
