Verizon Cloud crashing on my iPhone 5

i recently upgraded my Verizon Cloud app on my iPhone 5 and now it wont stay up log enough for me to login. Any suggestions?

You are receiving this warning as you are deleting the application, so anything that was backed up into the Verizon Cloud will be deleted (from the app not your phone). If you would feel more comfortable backup your content to your iTunes account then delete the application. Please keep us posted.

    wow thats a hard one. Not that many people have that phone. I would probably say go to store and let them try it on the machine. Since its such an old phone its going to be hard. If you synk with outlook tho I am sure you can do it.

  • Verizon Cloud Crashing on launch

    Just upgraded Backup assistant plus to Verizon Cloud on my computer for use with My Droid Razr maxx HD.   when I launch Verizon cloud on my computer, it crashes immediately.   Why?   I'm running Windows 7 Professional- 64 bit.  no other programs running.  (note my goal is to transfer pictures form my droid to my computer)- the Motorola device manager is also not working on the computer.

    It is set up to automatically backup at a certain time when connected to wifi. Why does it keep asking me to start backup now?

  • Verizon Cloud login for iPad and PC for second line (not primary account holder line)

    I am the primary account holder but the primary line is associated with my wife's phone so I added Verizon Cloud to the second line which is my phone.
    I downloaded the Verizon Cloud app to my iPhone and backed up my data. The Verizon Cloud app did not ask for a password and must have recognized that my device was authorized.
    However, I can not access my Verizon Cloud "account" for my line from my iPad or PC. When I use the account name and password for My Verizon (which is associated with the primary line) I get an error.
    During the setup process of the Verizon Cloud app on my phone I supplied my email address but was never asked to setup a password for my line/device.
    How can I access my line's Verizon Cloud storage from my iPad or PC?
    Does Verizon Cloud only work for the primary account holder?

    I guess I should have read the Verizon Cloud FAQ #2. For anyone interested in the same answer I'll post it here:
    Can other individuals on my Verizon Wireless account access my Verizon Cloud storage account?No, your Verizon Cloud account is tied to your own individual mobile number. No one else on your account (including the Account Owner) can sign in to your Verizon Cloud account without access to your password for My Verizon.
    If you’re the Account Owner or want to manage the content of a different mobile number, you’ll need tosign in to My Verizon with that mobile number and password, or create a new My Verizon account for that number if it doesn’t already exist.

  • Verizon Cloud cannot log in

    When I use the Verizon Cloud Ap on an iPhone 6 it keeps telling me "No Existing Verizon Cloud Account".  I've set up an account but it doesn't recognize my phone?  I've called support 2x spent 2 hours on the phone and they still cant help me.  Another phone on the account has been able to log in, when I go to Verizon Wireless online it shows that my phone is activated for Verizon Cloud?  This is totally frustrating!!!!!

    Don't bother with that. It is horrible. You have iCloud and can use apps like Box and Dropbox. Also OneDrive. Verizon Cloud just duplicates what you do on iCloud and uses storage space. It's more for Android phones that don't have iCloud. I found the Verizon Cloud app to be ridiculous. I could not log in without going online to do a bunch of stuff. I gave up and called Verizon. She said not to use it. It's very complicated. 99% of the reviews are very negative in the App Store.

    The problem is non compatible devices. You could go to a Verizon corporate store and they could try to transfer them, however many customers stated this has resulted in loss of contacts. They don't guarantee a transfer.

  • Why doesn't the Verizon Cloud app finish loading onto my iPhone 6?

    I was on the phone for over an hour yesterday with two different techs. My DH & I each have new iPhone 6's. I was able to load his Verizon Cloud app and update his contacts list. My phone had the app also, but the setup was stuck on #2, asking my to input a viable email address for Verizon notices. I continued to get the message "Something went wrong, call this number". We tried resetting the phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, to no avail. The last tech wrote up a ticket on my problem and said that he would probably have an answer and be able to call me back before he left at 5:30 pm. I didn't hear from him last night, so I uninstalled the app and reset my phone. This morning I reinstalled the app, but it never got to the point where the "open" box appears and there was a black app that either said "waiting", or had a white circle that stopped about 60% through and never finished. I wasn't able to remove it either, until I connected the phone to my computer and removed it through iTunes. A few minutes ago, I held down the power button until the "slide to shutdown" appeared, shut it off, waited a few minutes and turned it back on again. This time, the app installed, but I'm now stuck on #1 in the setup with the "Performing a quick scan, please wait" message that has been spinning for 20 minutes.
    mrhelper, I'm using the app to load all of my Verizon contacts. If you know of another way to do this, I'm all ears. BTW, when I go into the VC on my computer and try to change a contact, all I've been able to get is the "loading" message, so I'm not having any luck with it at all. The tech still hasn't called back, so I'm wondering if it's a problem that a lot of people are having.

    I just got my first iPhone 5C through Verizon.  When I transferred my contacts from my old LG phone through Verizon, I found that I had multiple entries for each contact.  Since I have three Yahoo Email accounts, I assumed that was the cause.  I called Verizon and asked if I backed up my contacts from my new iPhone would that supersede the contact list that was on the Verizon website.  They couldn't give me a clear answer.
    So, my questions are:
    1.  What is the iPhone's Back Up Assist?
    2.  Does the Back Up Assist serve the same function as the Verizon Cloud?  (If so, am I better off using Back Up Assist or the Verizon Cloud…or both?)
    3.  I don't want to back up anything on the iCloud, so how do I make sure I'm not doing that?
    As you can see, I am a complete neophyte at this, so please be patient and understanding.

    As Chris CA, noted Backup Assistant and Verizon Cloud are both Verizon apps. Backup Assistant is older software and has largely been replaced by Verizon Cloud which will back up more categories of data. They are both cloud based back up services. You should not try to use both. That can result in the type of duplicates you're seeing. If you want to use a Verizon provided back up option, go with Verizon Cloud. It's advantage over iCloud is that, should you ever change to another platform (e.g. Android) on Verizon's network, your data will be easily accessible. It is not, however, as well integrated into the OS as iCloud.
    If you do not want to use any type cloud back up, don't use Backup Assistant, Verizon Cloud or iCloud. You can delete both Backup Assistant and Verizon Cloud from the phone. iCloud is built in. You can turn off all the back up/sync options under Settings>iCloud. I would recommend leaving Find My iPhone turned on, though.

    All apps on your iPhone and iPad should be in your iTunes library on your computer, which should be included with your computer's backup per the instructions included with this link.

    With Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for each device's sync preferences with iTunes, after downloading an app with either device, the app will be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync the device with iTunes after doing so.
    If the apps on each device are different, with your iPhone connected to iTunes and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone. Repeat this for your iPad - Transfer Purchaes From - the name of your iPad.
    Then you will need to select Sync Apps under the Apps tab making sure all apps on the connected device are selected below. This will not prevent the device from being erased of all iTunes content with the first sync.
    If all apps on either device were in your iTunes library and your iTunes library was backed up per the instructions included with the link provided and restored from said backup, no iTunes content on either device would be erased with the first sync with iTunes.

    Unless the iPhone app and Windows 8 app that access your Verizon Cloud storage directly and delete things directly from the cloud, the website has a trash can feature.  This feature gives you a second chance to decide if you want to restore an item you deleted or permanently delete it from your cloud storage -- similar to restoring deleted files or emptying your recycle bin on your PC.  In other words:
    Verizon Cloud website Trash Can = PC Recycle Bin
    Once something is deleted using the apps or from the website trash can, you can assume it is gone.
