Verizon Cloud not working

My verizon cloud hasn't worked for months. It used to work fine but stopped connecting. When I try to use on my iphone it just spins and never opens. My wife and I both have iphone 5's and it used to work fine. I thought about doing a reinstall but it stated that I would lose my backed up data.
one of the reasons we got Verizon was the backup and now it is not working at all!!! When is this going to be resolved !!!!

    Thanks for the additional information Jimmy.avit! Having a backup copy of your data and precious moments is top priority! Please backup to iCloud www.apple.com/support/icloud to ensure that you have a safe backup of everything, then delete the Verizon Cloud, power off/on, and install the Verizon Cloud again. Test and keep us posted.

  • Backup Assistant and Verizon Cloud not working correctly

    I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII.  Been using BU Assistant Plus a long time.  Recently found out about "Cloud"...downloaded it, installed it, can't load it.  Have repeatedly downloaded, installed, tried to load, uninstalled, reinstall....  I've about had it.   Neither Back Up Assistance Plus, or Cloud are working properly.  Cloud - not at all.  I click the icon, the red screen appears with a gray radio button that says, "Get Started".  I press it, then after 5 seconds the screen goes black, a dialog box appears saying that the app has been stopped, do I want to send an error report, which I do send...  Anyone have a clue?    Same happens on my son's Stratosphere 2 and husband's Lucid... Please advise!  Thx

    I am having exactly the same problem~ SO, so frustrating, as I do all my updating on my phone, not the cloud or my desktop computer!!   And, likewise I called about hte issue and got the same advice as Spikey and did the same thing with the same shocking results (deleting all contacts on my phone).  They told me to go into Settings, "backup assistant Plus" and make sure the "sync contacts" button is turned off first, then go log into my account online, delete all the contacts there, then come back to phone and choose the "backup now" button at the bottom of the "backup assistant plus" screen under settings.  I did all this, and while there LITERALLY saw the box for "sync contacts" check itself back on and start sycing with the cloud, where I had just deleted all my contacts with the intent of uploading all the current, newly update info from my phone onto the cloud~ Instead all this automatic stuff started happening and the cloud started syncing my contacts to my phone, which is to say, it deleted all my contacts because the account online had just been cleared out~ I was so bummed, can't even tell you how long it took to update everything to current manually over a couple weeks on my phone and it was all gone~ Turns out I went into the trash online and was able to undelete all my deleted contacts from the online verizon account, (mind you, these were the out-of-date ones I was trying to replace with my current phone ones), and then the cloud automatically synced all these old contacts onto my phone again.  So not only did I not get to send the new ones to the cloud, but the cloud sent back all the old ones replacing the work I had done. 
    I'm not at all convinced that they understand at verizon how to get around this.  I would be really glad if anyone else has and could pipe in here.  It's a real problem. 

  • Verizon Cloud not Syncing properly with Galaxy S5

    Before activating the new Galaxy S5 that I bought for my gal, we backed up her Contacts to her Verizon account Cloud. We can see all of the contacts including phone numbers.
    Yet after activating the new S5 most of the phone numbers are not appearing on the phone?
    A Chat session with Verizon wasn't helpful.
    I've tried numerous times to Sync to the new phone. The old phone has been deactivated. I've tried everything that I can think of, including Selecting all of the contacts, etc.
    Any hints? She's not happy that I got her a new phone that doesn't have her phone numbers in it!

    I have spent four+ hours at the local VZW store on two visits, called VZW tech support three times and spoke to five reps, and have been in touch with executive services, not to mention all the time I've spent on my own researching and trying to get my phone to sync contacts with the Verizon Cloud.  After over 20 hours of effort, I still can't get it to work.  This w/e tech support said I had to wait for a mid-June software update.  My phone will be two months old then.  I did get contacts to sync through gmail (I exported from iCloud (originally on Apple 4S) to vcard file, imported vcard content to gmail, synch to gmail account on S5). I can also populate the Verizon Cloud app contacts list from the vard file--but only from the PC side, not the phone.  I have tried numerous procedures and the S5 will not sync with the Verizon Cloud.  The Cloud app online says my device has no contacts.  I've managed to arrange my contacts to be the way I want them on my phone, I want to use the phone's contacts set as the master, but no matter what I do, I can't push the contacts to the Verizon Cloud (or vice versa).  It's a stunning roadblock and a great hindrance to onboarding new customers. 

  • My Verizon app not working after iOS 7 update

    I have an iphone 4s.  After I upgraded to ios 7, the my verizon app stopped working.  Today, the app got an update in the app store to version 3.6.0.  I installed the update, but it still does not work.  When I run it, it spins the circle dots for a while and comes back with "Error: A communication error has occured [sic]. Please ensure Internet connection and try again."  And it has a "Reload App" button, which I press, and it does the same thing.  This happens whether I'm on wifi or 3g.  Several times I've tried rebooting the phone, deleting and reinstalling the my verizon app, but it still doesn't work.  Does anyone else have this problem?  How did you solve it?  Thanks.

    I did the network reset, but that didn't help.  FYI if you're thinking of resetting network settings, the only negative side-effect is that the phone forgets all of its wifi networks.
    I did a restore from backup via iTunes, and that didn't help either.
    I've had a couple other issues with iOS 7, and what I did was reset the firmware via iTunes but I didn't restore from backup.  Now My Verizon works.  The reason I did this drastic step was because my Safari was messed up in iOS 7 in another way, and restoring from backup didn't help that either, but I had a hunch that getting Safari fixed would fix My Verizon.  (I can't know for sure if I was right about that.)
    Here's the thing:  Apps like My Verizon that really just load web pages use Safari's settings for the web. So I would try this if I were still stuck with My Verizon not working: Go into Safari settings, and clear cookies and history and cache data, and make sure the "Block Cookies" setting is set to either "Never" or "From third parties and advertisers."  Then reboot your phone for good measure, and try My Verizon again.

  • QuickVPN on Verizon 4G not working

    QuickVPN is not making a connection over the Verizon 4G network. After "Activating Policy" it tries to verify the network, but always times out. I get the message "remote gateway is not responding. Do you want to wait? My same setup works on the 3G network and off of any public WiFi connection. Any idea what is the problem?

    Thank you for posting. I would place a call to Verizon and see if they can offer any insight as to why VPN will not work. I know that many large and small companies, law enforcement agencies, etc. depend on the Verizon 3G network for VPN connections. It would be interesting to know if they are deliberately blocking VPN connections with their 4G network. Please keep us posted.

  • IPad with Verizon does not work in Alaska.

    If you live in Alaska and considering an iPad with Verizon don't do it.  It does not work anywhere in Alaska.  I recently purchased an iPad while travelling in the lower 48.  The Apple sales people displayed the Verizon coverage map which displays wireless coverage for the populated parts of Alaska but what they missed is that you have to change the map to the Verizon Pre-Paid coverage and look for purple colored areas.  There are none for Alaska.  The map defaults to Extended 3G coverage in Alaska but that does not apply to the iPad.
    I was on the phone with one of their Pre-Paid support people and they confirmed no coverage for Alaska.  By the way, the Pre-Paid phone support is at 888-294-6830 but that number is not accessible from Alaska.  From Alaska you have to first call 800-922-0204, Option 6, ask to be transferred to the Pre-Paid support number.  Verizon - Alaska is a state of the USA!!!!
    So all I can do is use the thing via my home wireless network.  I cancelled the data plan and will need to turn it back on when I again travel south.  Looks like I should have stuck with AT&T.  At this point I have to return the iPad and get one specific to AT&T.

    So I finally figured out how to access my Verizon account on their web site.  There is actually a phone number associated with the account.  My iPhone is with AT&T so the Verizon iPad is my first experience with Verizon.  I looked for the plan you mentioned but don't see it.  Can you provide more detail?  What I currently have is what Verizon calls the "Prepaid Cellular Data" plan.  That gets me 1GB of data per month and it automatially renews each month billed to my credit card.  Is that the same?  If so then the Extended 3G network does ot work here in Alaska.

  • Verizon Fios not working in one bedroom

    Just got Verizon Fios installed about three weeks ago in our new house. Verizon Fios is working great in every room except for one bedroom. It's an HD TV, but with a normal Motorola receiver. When the TV goes on, it plays one channel (3) like standard cable. When you press guide on the remote, instead of going to the channel guide, it goes to a menu with three options: Television, Settings and Help. Everything is plugged in the same way as the other bedroom TV's, but for some reason I can't understand why it won't connect to Fios. I've unplugged the power cord numerous times, hoping it would reset it, but it continues to go back to one channel. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it? I don't want to be paying for service that I'm not even using.

    That sounds as if its the menu for the Tv pulling up, not the box. Walk up to the fron of the box itself and press the menu button on it. If your remote has 4 buttons arocss the top, press the STB button to ensure the remote is in Set Top Box mode.

    It looks like you are using javascript. Flash forms use actionscript. It is a totally different beast.
    UPDATE:
    Never mind.  My previous suggestion will not work because the radio fields have the same name.  I am sure there are better ways.
    But you could call a function onClick. One that changes the state of the select lists..

  • Phone purchased from verizon new not working

    iphone 4s brand new purchased at Verizon store keypad is slow and wont charge fully..kept one day and took back and they wanted to charge me again for another phone, wait for it to come in, then ship back the purchased one not working at all second day and wait for a refund of the 200+ dollars.  Will Apple store exchange it for me? 

    If it is a hardware failure and they have a service replacement unit available, yes they will. Make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and find out.

  • Verizon Tour not Working Abroad

    Hi All,
    First time BB user, so forgive me if I'm ignorant of a lot of aspects of these phones:
    I purchased a BB Tour from Verizon back in September and this past week flew overseas. First I was in France and upon arriving in the country, my Tour wouldn't establish any connection to any of the networks (I went into mobile network settings and tinkered around; it could detect French networks but wouldn't connect, so my reception icon read 'SOS').
    A couple of days ago I landed in Lebanon and it was the same story. I took it to the BlackBerry store here and they told me that the Tour doesn't work abroad (???). He mentioned something about WiFi not being enabled on my phone and said that my phone was useless overseas. I can't believe that he's right, since I specifically bought the Tour for its ability to work abroad and the guy who sold it to me said I'd be able to call anywhere in the world.
    I took it to another phone store (non-BB) where someone is going to unlock it and then put in a local SIM card. This is not really my ideal solution but then again, I don't know what's wrong and why my phone's not working.
    Most important to me is to be able to use BBM while abroad.
    Any idea on what I should do and why my phone isn't working?

    1. I would do as advised above, call the Verizon international help desk.
    2. A simple reboot: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.  Most often, that will enable your device to see the other carriers.
    3. If still not, on your device > Manage Connections > Mobile Network Options, make sure the network mode or selection is set to "Global".
    4. After #3, do another powered-on battery pull reboot.

  • Cloud not working

    Set up a cloud membership, downloaded PS and Illy - worked fine . Clicked older version and the new version opened as if by magic. However, today .. different story , clicked on the Illustrator app, nothing happens.
    Yes connected to the internet -
    Clicked on the old icon from previously installed by disc adobe creative suite and the old version 5 appears - i can run 4 too , but no new version 6 .
    Nothing happens ...

    I am running windows 7 - on a quatro nvidia processor - With enough RAM and tech to run a powerstation.
    I shouldnt really need to supply or describe anything - adobe has all my information and more. It can see what machine i am using, what its name is, what adobe software I have, when I ran it i, when i installed it,  what its specs are and whether i've had several coffees this morning.
    I've spent two hours on chat and have been passed on to someone else twice - with no solution - Having to repeat the issue ( even though it was written down in chat )  finally was given a phone number. Called , couldnt understand much of what was being said- nothing amazing, just "have you downloaded the application ?" And "its not working is that correct?" and "you tried PS and Illustrator which you've downloaded?" And "they worked yesterday ? "

    no solution all - Next step I  recieved a random email telling me how to download the application manager as my support. That's it .. thats the support. great - 
    I joined the creative cloud - last night the application worked well. Even when I clicked on an older version ( which had been downloaded via disc from adobe) - the app knew and launched the new version 6 , all was well.
    But today , i opened the application manager , it said i had updates for camera raw - i accepted those clicked the illustrator app and nothing happens - no warning , no error, just nothing . If i press the old version ( which is on my hard drive) it opens that older version , not the new cloud version ( as it did yesterday )
    So yeah... work to be done but its not getting done .. great workflow.

  • Adobe Cloud not working

    Hello, an hour ago my adobe cloud stopped working.
    Whenever i try to use a program it asks me sign in. I enter my info but they it load for 15-20 minutes without anything to happen. When try to open the Creative Cloud Manager it shows black window and no option to even log in
    Tried re-installing but didn't help

  • Why is Verizon Cloud not displaying all the files I've backed up?

    I've gone through the backup procedure using Verizon Cloud on my iMac and this appeared to go well, at least in monitoring the backup process stage.  About 40GB of files were backed up.  However, Cloud is only showing about 9GB of my backed up files (e.g., about 600 songs of 4000 and some pictures appear to be missing as well).  I don't know how to correct this.  Thanks for any help.

    Try using Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility to verify/repair the drive.

  • Verizon Cloud not syncing

    My Verizon cloud has stopped backing up pictures that I download from text messages or download from emails. This stopped around November 18. I had to try a manual sync and the only pictures that updated were the ones taken by the phones camera.  My time spent with Verizon tech support was useless so far. Does anyone know if this may be a settings issue or have any other suggestions?

    I have about 160 contacts on my phone but the verizon cloud only backs up 10 of them.  I'm sure the rest are other accounts or google backed up but i need them in Verizon so i can use the web based messaging app.  Is there any way to get those other contacts into the verizon cloud?
