Verizon Cloud Photo backup

I installed Verizon Cloud yesterday and it is only seeing photos that I saved to my phone from texts or facebook.  How can I get it to see the photos I've taken with my phone?

    Lets ensure Verizon Cloud and your iPhone 4s properly sync your photos. Did you provide consent for Verizon Cloud to access your Photos? Does Verizon Cloud advise that syncing is up to date?

    When I sync and backup my photos, can I delete those photos from my phone and still access them in my cloud?

    I've been browsing the blog for answers since I have been using Backup Assistant Plus for many months.  Only recently that program was updated by Verizon to Verizon Cloud.  I have many photos stores on my account and they are not on my phone.  That may only be because I uploaded them when the product used was Backup Assistant Plus.  But many are not on my phone any longer yet are still present in "the cloud."  I have configured a one way sync so that could also have to do with it.  And I have definitely not upgraded to a Verizon Cloud software program on my PC.  Good luck figuring this out.  I'm still completely confused as to how this works.  It could be a very great product in time!  I hope that changes for the better continue to be made on it.  I'm fairly certain that they will with enough prompting via questions like this one.

  • Verizon Cloud Contacts Backup

    If I delete contacts on my phone that are backed up to the cloud will it delete them from the cloud?
    I don't want the numbers stored on my phone anymore but would like to be able to retrieve them in the future if I change my mind.

        I understand your desire to keep a copy of certain contacts online and not on your phone brilpitch! The cloud gets updated everytime you sync your device with it. If you want to keep a copy different than what is on your phone, I recommend creating a file with the contacts currently listed and save it to your hard drive.

  • Verizon Cloud Trashed My Contacts

    Tried to use Verizon Cloud to backup my contacts.  The first thing I noticed is that it said it was backing up only six of my contacts.  Then after it was "done" it only showed one.  Tried several attempts at performing the backup.  Nothing changed; it said it was backing up only 6 and actually backed up one.
    I then went back into my contacts and noticed it had trashed the one contact it actually backed up.  Several days later I went to my contacts to make a phone call and noticed it had removed some of my important phone numbers.  Verizon Cloud has been removed from my phone and home computers.
    I should have tried the Verizon Cloud before I changed plans to get more space on this worthless application.  I gave up my free 2x upgrade on my data just for this?  Verizon ... you have some work to do!!  It won't be long before the word gets out on this SLOW and DESTRUCTIVE application.
    I sure wish there was a way to go back to my old plan and get my free 2x upgrade on my data.  Verizon ... are you listening?!?!?!

    First, don't tell me that there are no reported issues regarding the Verizon Cloud messing with contact lists.  A Google search reveals many complaints in these regards.
    Yes, my contacts were also backed up using Google services.  However, after your services changed my contact information it was updated quickly by Google services.  I had to manually rebuild my contact list after your services trashed my contacts.
    No, a resolution ticket was never filed.  And just what good is that going to do?

    BTW ... as of now I would like to go back to my previous plan with the 4 GB of data.  One of the factors in changing plans was the anticipation of using Verizon Cloud as my backup.  As of now, Verizon Cloud not only trashed my contact list, it is VERY, VERY slow.  It said it would take DAYS to backup just my 16 GB of music.  Honestly, tell me what good a backup system is that takes DAYS?!?!?

    We want to make sure your photos are backed up successfully! Have you tried to stop the process and start it again? You can stop the process by stopping the Cloud and backup process completely in Settings>Applications>All>Verizon Cloud>Force stop. One it has stopped make sure you care connected to WiFi and try the backup again.

  • Downloading photos from Verizon Cloud

    Is there a way to download photos all at once from Verizon Cloud? I have about 1400 photos I'd like to download to my computer (just upgraded my phone so I want to save them somewhere), and I can only see how to download them one by one. The solution in the FAQ (hold and click and it will let you pick multiple photos) doesn't work.

    It is my understanding that you can successfully sync a handset with Verizon Cloud and regain photos stored in the cloud on your handset.  I will also add this comment - Verizon Cloud is a very new product and many useful features of its predecessor program, Backup Assistant Plus, have been removed in the current version of Verizon Cloud.  This is a huge disappointment to me, as I found out the hard way that all of my backed up photos(hundreds of them) must now be downloaded individually to my PC instead of via the method used in Backup Assistant Plus(a zip file of all photos could be created and downloaded in one file to my system).  I am waiting for a bit to see if Verizon won't reenable this functionality in Verizon Cloud so that I do not have to cancel my backup service with them as it is essentially useless the way it now stands.  Yes, it does afford a very limited backup but, to get photos back out of the cloud onto another device(short of syncing with the handset), involves an incredibly labor intensive process that would take me most of a few days to complete.  I will hope that someone in a position of authority at Verizon Cloud, involved in its product development, will oneday read these messages and make the product all that it can be.  Good luck to you!

  • Help needed for photos deleted from Verizon Cloud

    After selecting muliple photos in Verizon Cloud, they were inadvertently deleted rather than downloaded to my PC.  These photos had been deleted from my phone after backed up to Verizon Cloud.  The Trash Can in my Verizon Could has contacts and music deleted over the past year, but not these recently deleted photos.  Can these photos deleted from my Verizon Cloud be restored to / undeleted from my Verizon Cloud?

    Unless the iPhone app and Windows 8 app that access your Verizon Cloud storage directly and delete things directly from the cloud, the website has a trash can feature.  This feature gives you a second chance to decide if you want to restore an item you deleted or permanently delete it from your cloud storage -- similar to restoring deleted files or emptying your recycle bin on your PC.  In other words:
    Verizon Cloud website Trash Can = PC Recycle Bin
    Once something is deleted using the apps or from the website trash can, you can assume it is gone.

  • Trying to backup contacts--server error from Verizon Cloud

    Okay, I've checked other threads and cannot find the answer. I am trying to backup my contacts from my Droid Razr HD before switching to a new phone. It starts the "provisioning account" process. Then I get the message, "Verizon Cloud operation failed. Please try again (code 4001)"
    I have two email accounts on this phone, one a gmail account and one my work email account. I have the same problem, regardless of which account I choose.
    Any assistance would be welcomed. I need to return the old phone soon, or I'll be charged for the new one.

  • Why cant i backup using verizon cloud.

    I set up and activated my Verizon cloud account and updated the cloud app on my HTC thunderbolt. I go thru the app choosing everything I want backed up. The last screen I get to asks for an email address. No matter which email address I choose, the display reads "Provisioning Account" and then I get an error message, code 4600.
    This has been the case for going on 12 hours now.

    Congratulations on the new smartphone. The iPhone 5C is a great device! When it comes to backing up your content on your device it is up to you to choose which backup process works best for you. All three backup options back up the same content on your phone so it is just best to choose which option is easiest for you to use. When your iPhone is idle and goes to sleep it has been know to disconnect from the wifi which can effect a phone backing up with V-Cloud. I hope this helps!

    backup hasn't worked in two months.  It says it's backing up but never does.

  • Download all photos at once from Verizon Cloud?

    The verizon cloud app was able to upload all my photos in one shot from my iPhone 4s and not I am trying to download them all from verizon cloud to my iPhone 5s but can't seem to figure out how to download more than one photo at a time. I click edit and select a photo, but as soon as I select more than one the download button is unclickable. I have searched posts and it seems to be a common issue, but I haven't seen a solution. Seem to me that if the app can upload everything at once it should be able to download everything at once. I find the app to be a total failure if this is really the case.

    I am sorry you're having issues with not being able to select more than one pic at a time. I would suggest using ICloud as opposed Verizon Cloud for the download http://tiny.cc/g8sp8w. I apologize but I am not sure of a 3rd party app that can do everything at once.

  • Verizon Cloud/iCloud/iTunes/Backup assitance not working for me

    So upgraded to a smart phone by letting my wife get a new one and taking her old one.  I did not want all of her contacts so I deleted many of them.  Well thought the magic of computers they got deleted on her phone as well.  Is there a way to retrive them though Verizon Cloud/iCloud/iTunes/Backup assitant and in the future stop having them deleted.

    If the contacts have been deleted from iCloud then they are permanently gone. When your wife gave you her old phone she should have disabled find my iphone and then reset the iPhone so that it could used fresh for you. 

  • Backup using Verizon Cloud, iCloud, or both?

    Please bear with a new smartphone user. Before I converted to my new iPhone 5C, I did go through the Verizon Cloud setup on the website, and used V-cloud to load my new phone with contacts...  I also seem to have used iCloud to backup music and pictures, but have since changed that to backup my iTunes pics and music to my computer.   I still have V-cloud active - but set to only backup on WIFI and not use cellular data...     This seems to take forever, i think the phone goes to sleep and can no longer connect to WIFI.   I suppose I could set my phone to not lockup and complete the V-cloud backups?
    Can someone smarter than me (and smarter than my smartphone) please advise on what is best way to backup data given that I can backup to V-Cloud, iCloud, and also my computer via iTunes?    Maybe periodically doing all 3 methods is best, but what is truly the best practice?
    Also please advise on best way to get any cloud work initiated by the phone (and not my computer) to complete, while on WIFI?

  • Backup Assistant/Verizon Cloud website is broken

    I have a basic phone.  I backed up my contacts with Backup Assistant successfully.  Now i want to export them as a CSV or similar file. All of the links on your "Verizon Cloud" Website loop to the same site. I just need a working link to the site that allows me to manage my contacts in my browser.  I tried downloading the free 5GB desktop app for the cloud and its telling me that i have to pay at least 2.99.  Which I am not going to do.

    I see the same webpage advertising verizon cloud.  This page: http://www.verizonwireless.com/wcms/consumer/products/verizon-cloud.html.  I then click "Already a Verizon Cloud user? Manage your content on the web" which brings me to the same page again. I've also tried the link labeled "Manage Your Content >" at the bottom and get the same thing. Almost every link on the page does nothing but reload the same site.
