Verizon Cloud storage

Is data stored / backed up "by device" in Verizon Cloud (we have more than one phone on our account).  I'm not really certain how it works and don't want to add another device unless it's data will not co-mingle with mine. thank you

Thank you

  • Verizon Cloud Storage Deletion

If I delete all 8000 photos from my Verizon Cloud storage, will they be permanently gone and will that free up storage space?

    Yes, gone and freed up.

  • Verizon Cloud storage is full

A couple of months ago, I transferred my backed up files to Verizon Cloud.  I must admit, cloud storage is something I really am a novice about...have always used actual storage on a drive.  Love the idea of using the cloud but can't quite say I understand the process, security risks, etc.  Anyway, my storage is full and I'm not at the point where I want to upgrade the amount of storage space I have.  I believe this being full is causing some minor problems when using my laptop (I have the Verizon Cloud app loaded on my laptop).  I've tried going in to manage folders, move pictures, etc to free up some open space by moving them to hard storage but just can't seem to figure out how to do so.
Not even sure if everything on the cloud is from my mobile devices or if I have the laptop set up to store on the cloud as well.  I'd like to get to the point where I have free space on my cloud without deleting and losing any of my pictures.
    Any thoughts?

Hello RobnDawn, making sure your information is secure and saved is our top priority! The information saved in the cloud will be from your mobile devices. You can save outside files from your laptop in the cloud if you drag and drop the files in the desktop manager. • In Acrobat Reader DC for Android, how do I prevent Verizon Cloud from launching when clicking the floating action button to retrieve files?

I have a Verizon-branded Samsung Galaxy S5, which means a lot of Verizon apps were added from the factory install.
Recently I upgraded Adobe Acrobat Reader to its most recent version.
When I clicked on the floating action button to open a PDF, it launched Verizon Cloud instead of showing my file directory.
Unless I disabled Verizon Cloud altogether, every time I did this, I would get the Verizon Cloud app instead of a file listing.
Reader DC is the only app that does such a thing. Is this a defect?

    Thanks for the information.
To remove the Verizon cloud storage from Adobe Acrobat DC application, you can 'Turn off' the Verizon cloud application from 'Settings'-->'Application Manager'-->'All applications'. After doing this, every time you tap on the Floating Action button, you will be presented the list of all your pdf files on your device.
If you would like to view both the Verizon cloud based files as well as files from your internal memory/SD card, I would request you to download some file manager application from the Google Play Store such as And Explorer, ES File Explorer etc. After doing this, whenever you will tap on the floating action button, you will be provided an option to open the files either from the Verizon cloud or the files on your device.
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you observe any more issues.
    Thanks.

  • Help needed for photos deleted from Verizon Cloud

After selecting muliple photos in Verizon Cloud, they were inadvertently deleted rather than downloaded to my PC.  These photos had been deleted from my phone after backed up to Verizon Cloud.  The Trash Can in my Verizon Could has contacts and music deleted over the past year, but not these recently deleted photos.  Can these photos deleted from my Verizon Cloud be restored to / undeleted from my Verizon Cloud?

Follow up on this post.  If you want the capability to restore items deleted from your Verizon Cloud storage, use the website: https://cloud.verizonwireless.com
Unless the iPhone app and Windows 8 app that access your Verizon Cloud storage directly and delete things directly from the cloud, the website has a trash can feature.  This feature gives you a second chance to decide if you want to restore an item you deleted or permanently delete it from your cloud storage -- similar to restoring deleted files or emptying your recycle bin on your PC.  In other words:
Verizon Cloud website Trash Can = PC Recycle Bin
Once something is deleted using the apps or from the website trash can, you can assume it is gone.

  • Verizon Cloud login for iPad and PC for second line (not primary account holder line)

I am the primary account holder but the primary line is associated with my wife's phone so I added Verizon Cloud to the second line which is my phone.
I downloaded the Verizon Cloud app to my iPhone and backed up my data. The Verizon Cloud app did not ask for a password and must have recognized that my device was authorized.
However, I can not access my Verizon Cloud "account" for my line from my iPad or PC. When I use the account name and password for My Verizon (which is associated with the primary line) I get an error.
During the setup process of the Verizon Cloud app on my phone I supplied my email address but was never asked to setup a password for my line/device.
How can I access my line's Verizon Cloud storage from my iPad or PC?
Does Verizon Cloud only work for the primary account holder?
    Thanks!
    David

I guess I should have read the Verizon Cloud FAQ #2. For anyone interested in the same answer I'll post it here:
Can other individuals on my Verizon Wireless account access my Verizon Cloud storage account? No, your Verizon Cloud account is tied to your own individual mobile number. No one else on your account (including the Account Owner) can sign in to your Verizon Cloud account without access to your password for My Verizon.
If you’re the Account Owner or want to manage the content of a different mobile number, you’ll need tosign in to My Verizon with that mobile number and password, or create a new My Verizon account for that number if it doesn’t already exist.

  • Verizon Cloud media storage was removed

This message appears on my Razr M phone:
As you requested, access to your Verizon Cloud media storage was removed.  Please contact Customer Service if you would like to restore your previously backed up photos, videos, music, documents, messages and call logs.
Don't remember what I might have done to remove my access to media storage.  Contacting "Customer Service" is not likely to be of any help because I really don't want to spend a looooong time working through all the menus.
Anyone got an idea regarding what I might have done to create this situation and, more importantly,  how to reverse it?

        PaulWood,
You should definitely have access to your Cloud storage! Did you recently remove Verizon Cloud from your features? Did you happen to have the app on the phone and remove the app recently?

  • How do I free up space from cloud storage?

I received a text from verizon stating that my cloud storage is full.  I didn't even know I was using it to store anything but contacts.  Upon doing some research, I see that I have a media file that has over 600 pictures stored.  I don't know what pictures they are or how I stored them.  How do I see what is stored and delete what I don't need?

go here: Verizon Cloud - Verizon Wireless
and select "manage your content on the web." you'll then need to sign in with your my verizon account.

  • Unable to empty trash in verizon cloud

The trash is using 2.4GB of storage in verizon cloud.  Whenever I attempt to empty trash can it gives me an internal server error and doesn't delete it.  Any workaround or way to get a trouble ticket opened?

        Hello TinyBurrito,
We're here to help get your Verizon Cloud working again! I'm sorry you're having trouble removing items from the trash folder. If you attempt to delete individual items, are you able to do that? When did you first attempt to empty the trash can?

  • How do I delete music from Verizon Cloud?

Recently, I put about 1,000+ music tracks on the SD card in my S5.  I didn't realize that I had music set to back up on Verizon Cloud.  Needless to say,  my 5GB free storage is now full of music that is already on my computer and various other forms of backup.
How do I delete the music on the cloud without affecting what's already on my phone?

    https://cloud.verizonwireless.com/
You can manage your music here without affecting what is on your phone, you should also be able to do so with the Cloud app.

  • How do I push contacts from Verizon Cloud?

I have spent a long time cleaning up my contact list on the cloud, using my PC.  Everything is the way I want it to be on my phone.  How do I push the cloud contact list to my phone - TO REPLACE what is already on my phone?  I have the Droid Turbo.

I would recommend using a different cloud storage solution for stuff you want to keep as well as be able to access. Verizon Cloud is by far the worst of these and is always having problems.  I recommend Google for contacts (the other person trying to get contacts to update, change all of your contacts to Google contacts and set up synching for google, export them from the cloud as a file and import it into Google. They will transfer to your phone. Then you can update them using either your phone or Google and it is virtually real time)
For Pics, files etc... use Dropbox or Google or one of the other reputable cloud services out there. You will be much happier.

  • How do I access my cloud storage from a pc?

all the my verizon site will do is tell me i already have the account set up (no duh) from there I can go no further. I'm extremely frustrated at having wasted way too much time on what should have been a simple task!

We don't want you to have to waste any more time than needed. Exactly what information are you trying to access within the cloud storage?
    When you to to http://www.verizonwireless.com/wcms/consumer/products/verizon-cloud.html
and click the hyperlink that says, "Already a Verizon Cloud user? Manage your content on the web" it will take you through the email and contacts that have been sent to the cloud. Are you looking for additional items sent to the cloud?

  • Verizon Cloud VERY slow uploads

Started using Verizon Cloud yesterday and found it to be VERY slow.  It say it will take more than 2 days to back up my 14 GB of music.  I've got it uploading using my Verizon DSL and it takes up most of my bandwidth in performing the upload.  Using home computers to view the web or downloading emails becomes EXTREMELY slow.
In addition, the backup of my contacts seems to be a complete failure.  It says it backed up only six of my contacts and then when I check to see which contacts it backed up, there is only one showing.  It also changed that one contact.  It is a complete failure in my opinion.
Is anybody else seeing these issues?
Verizon, are you aware of these problems?
For now I'm turning this useless service OFF!!!!

I have 32 GB of storage space with almost 6 GB free.  I've deleted everything that I deemed unnecessary as you suggested and restarted the backup process.  It still said it would take DAYS to backup my phone!!!  I tried to reply to your suggestions while the backup was running and it took MINUTES to upload these pages on my laptop.  I had to stop the backup process to be able to respond.
Just face it, Verizon Cloud is pretty much useless since it take so long to perform a reasonable backup.  As others suggested there are other cloud services that are MUCH better.
BTW ... you never addressed Verizon Cloud changing my contacts and not completely backing them up.  I'm not the first to see this behavior.  Others have commented on this bug.
As of now, I'm really sorry I changed plans to get more space on the worthless Verizon Cloud!!!

  • How to permanently delete cloud storage

How do I permanently delete messages from my cloud

Go to your online My Verizon site and remove the cloud from your device, then
Once your cancelation request has been processed, you’ll no longer have access to the Verizon Cloud service, including most of the content and files you had stored. If you decide to cancel your subscription to Verizon Cloud, you should first download all your files to your computer or a portable storage device.
Your content will be stored for an additional 30 days after you cancel your Verizon Cloud subscription. If you decide to subscribe to Verizon Cloud again within those 30 days, you can restore your old content by calling Customer Service at (800) 922-0204.
Note: Your contacts will remain on the server, but Verizon Cloud won’t sync your contacts after you cancel your subscription. You’ll have to use the Backup Assistant app if you want to continue syncing contacts after canceling your Verizon Cloud subscription.
