Verizon DSL - Intermittent Connectivity Issues - Westell 7500

Hello guys! I'm hoping you can help me out.  I can't even count the number of problems I have had over the past 9 years, and each time Verizon decides to blow me off like always.  Getting to be the last straw.
Anyways - I'll have a solid (slow, like always) connection, and then all of a sudden my DSL Light on the Modem starts blinking.  It'll blink.. then solid.  Repeat. It does it randomly.  I've tried to recreate it on my own, but haven't been able to.  Just seems to be random. Sometimes I'll go 30 minutes without a disconnect, sometimes only 2 minutes, if that.  At first I thought it must just be rough weather or some outage.  Today is day 4, and I'm sick of it because a lot of what I do is internet based.
My plan is the 3.1-7Mbps.  I had the one below that plan, but speeds of <1Mbps were killing me.  My usual speed with this is roughly 5Mbps. Modem is set to bridge due to me using a separate router for my network.
I have tried with no success:
-power cycle the modem
-turned off all devices on the network
-new RJ11 cable
Here are my Trans Stats:
Transceiver Statistics
Transceiver Revision        A2pB020b3.d20h
Vendor ID Code                      4D54
Line Mode                              ADSL_2plus
Data Path                                   FAST
Transceiver Information            Down Stream Path       Up Stream Path
DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec)                         3296                                 469
Margin (dB)                                               6.3                                    9.9
Line Attenuation (dB)                             57.0                                  34.1
Transmit Power (dBm)                         20.4                                   12.4
Here is the log.  The light was solid.  I cleared the log.  I refreshed, gave it about 1-2 minutes and it disconnected. (flashing light.) I let it establish the connection again, and then went to pull the log. (All)  I think while I was doing this, it disconnected again, but I'm not sure if it'll show.

I apologize if it looks jumbled.  I wasn't sure how else to put it on here.
I hope you guys can make sense of it.  I've had verizon not show up after I've waited around all day, been disconnected on the phone many times, and have been given the run around.  I don't want to go through it all again.  Let me know if you need anything else!
Thank you so much!

I know that you put this modem combo into bridge mode, however did you put it into full bridge mode or routed bridge mode?
By "full bridge mode", I point you to

  • Airport Express to Verizon DSL Modem - Connectivity issue

I have Verizon DSL at home. I have an iMac G4 1.2GHZ w/o internal wireless. I'm trying to use the AX to join the DSL Wireless, and use the Ethernet on the AX to provide internet access to the iMac.
    Setup:
Verizon DSL modem w/ build in Wireless G
    MAC address authentication
AX MAC added to the MAC list
AX Sucessfully added to DSL Wireless (I can see it connected at the DSL modem web page
AX Status light is green (confirmed its getting an IP from the DSL Wireless)
iMac plugged into the AX via ethernet (confirmed its getting an IP from the AX)
No internet access on the iMac however.
I did notice in the Airport Utility that sometimes the AX is logging:
Connected to: <insert mac address here>
Disconnected from: <insert mac address here>
    over and over at times....
The AX and the Wireless router are approx 15ft from each other.
I've also powered everything down, fired up DSL Router 1st, then AX, then Computer. Still no dice on internet to the iMac.
Any suggestions? I shouldn't have to add the iMac MAC address to the filtering...but maybe....didn't have time to try that lastnight/thismorning.
    Thanks for any help!

    Welcome to the discussions!
    Couple of thoughts here:
Check AirPort Utility - Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab just below the icons
Make sure there is a check mark next to "Enable ethernet clients"
You are trying to use the AirPort Express in a configuration known as a ProxySTA.
The modem/router will need to be compatible with this function, so you should check with your ISP to see how this could be enabled on your modem/router.

  • 4S Verizon Network / Internet Connectivity Issues?

I have been having problems with what appears to be Verizon Network/Internet Connectivity issues. I am located in northern Colorado, using an iPhone 4S with a Mophie Air battery backup/case.
I am in a solid 4G area (even though the phone is 3G) and I have not had any problems with any connection issues, until last night. I still see three bars of 3G service on the phone indicator area...so it is decieving.
I can still recieve emails, text messages, and phone calls, but nothing that uses the internet will work.  All apps seem to try to open and try to update, but the whizzy-wheel indicator just sits and spins until I get a "Network Error" message or a time out error of some kind. Most error pop-ups are saying to check the internet settings and try again. Ugh!
Also, since it seems to be trying to recognize the network all the time (even when all tasks are killed and nothing should be running), my battery is going down MUCH faster today! I took it off of the charger at 7am and it was down to 20% battery in only 4 hours! Then I turned on the battery backup, and it is quickly using that up too! At this rate my phone will be completely DEAD by the time I leave work today, and I haven't even used it for anything all day (except to try to connect to the web a few times - testing)!
I have tried the following so far to try to regain internet through the Verizon network, to no avail:
checked for software updates...phone was up to date with iOS 6.0.1
checked my firmware version (it is 3.0.04)
killed all background/running apps (with the home button double-click/hold icon/end)
"reset" my phone via a couple of methods (both the regular power off option and the force-power off option).
*228, option 2 (to reset Roaming)
    cleared all data cache areas/cookies/etc.
    Cellular data is set to "On"; Roaming is set to "On" for all options;
I have a 64GB device (57.3 usable capacity) of which I still show 46.2 available.
WiFi is set to "Off" (although I can use WiFi at home with no problem if I need to, but I shouldn't have to!)
Airplane Mode is set to "Off"; Restrictions are set to "Off"; Bluetooth is set to "Off"
Basically, there is NO REASON my phone should be having connection issues!
    PLEASE HELP?!!

I tried everything you did and more, i thought i had it working, but i got a voicemail today and when i went to open it earlier it just has the wheel loading forever and then says it cant onnect to voicemail. the searching does make it wear down the battery faster as well.  i can get calls, texts etc, but i cant help but think there are a few bugs with the ios 6.01 software

  • RV320 Intermittent connectivity issues

We have been having intermittent problems with internet (WAN) connectivity on my wife's small business computer network.  Connectivity will be fine for a day or so, and then we will have a period of poor and frequently interrupted connectivity.  I have our router (a Cisco RV320K9NA) set to send me notifications about problems, and when our internet connection is disrupted, I receive the following notifications from the router:
    Mar 28 07:31:11 2015 routeree1df4 Network Log:  NSD FAIL WAN[1]
    Mar 28 07:32:11 2015 routeree1df4 Network Log:  NSD SUCCESS WAN[1]
    Mar 28 07:36:05 2015 routeree1df4 Network Log:  NSD FAIL WAN[1]
    Mar 28 07:39:08 2015 routeree1df4 Network Log:  NSD SUCCESS WAN[1]
    Mar 28 07:39:48 2015 routeree1df4 Network Log:  NSD FAIL WAN[1]
    Mar 28 07:40:58 2015 routeree1df4 Network Log:  NSD SUCCESS WAN[1]
The above is a sample, there are many more notifications of this type in the log.
Our network configuration is as follows:
Our internet provider's cable modem is connected to our router, which is connected to a Netgear ProSafe 24 port switch.  All of our network devices and computers are connected to the switch.
We have tried many things to fix this problem.  Our internet provider (Time Warner) has replaced their cable modem. We have replaced our router.  My wife increased the speed of our network connection based on usage data from the internet provider. I have replaced the ethernet cable between the router and the cable modem.
We have not been able to reproduce the connectivity problem when we directly connect a laptop to the cable modem, so the internet provider has decided that the issue must be internal to our network and/or router, washing their hands of the whole problem.
I'm technically proficient, but I'm no networking technician, so I'm looking for help and suggestions to fix this problem.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions that you can offer.

No, it was wireless. Here is the same test run whilst wired in. I don't understand this though. I wasn't complaining about the speed? I was complaining about the general intermittent connectivity issues we experience, and the regular lack of availability the service provides. Perhaps these are standard tests you have to run beforehand?
The last time I complained about my connectivity issues was in February. If you have access to the ticketing tool, you'll be able to see the nature of my complaint. It was ticket number: VOL051-4263008159178. Something was "done at the exchange" and someone logged onto my HH3 and changed the wireless channel and that "fixed" it. Trouble is, it's been the same ever since. We have a few hours where the connection is stable, then we'll start to get packet losses when trying to connect to sites like Google.co.uk, Bt.com etc etc.
I'm no expert, but this is clearly more than an issue with the wireless channel and some spurious problem at the exchange. This is a continuing nightmare for us which is preventing us from accessing the internet for hours at a time and therefore taking full advantage of the services we pay a lot of money for!

  • Intermittent connectivity issues

So I had a Motorola SB 6120 modem working for over 4 years with Comcast and all of the sudden I start getting intermittent connectivity issues at night (it could be during the day as well, but I am actively working and doing school work at night). The issue comes and goes. I call Comcast and they swear up and down its my modem - which I dont believe since Im the connectivity issues are not fixed by resseting it, just waiting it out. I go ahead and get a new modem (SB6141) and router - spending over $200 and guess what - still having the identical issue. I call in and the support person states that as far as the modem goes everything is fine but the signal is dropping (same issue, two different conclusions after a good amount of arguing on my end and $200 I wont see back). So I tech comes back but I have to be at work and leave my wife and brother in law at home to make sure he comes by. When I get home apparently the tech had stated that "the modem was not correctly registered". That means that my other modem wasnt? And that an uncorrectly registered modem works from time to time? ... Really? So I try to do a live chat since again, I have to work and cant waste my entire day waititing for comcast to fess up and admit their service is the issue. And here is the part of the conversation in which I basically gave up hope on getting anywhere:Akemi: Sometimes if your modem is plugged to Comcast outlet you should be also receiving inetrnet signals, but then becasue if it is not properly registered you will be expriencing intermittent connection.----------------------------------------------------------MARCOS: ok, let me see if i can get itMARCOS: meanwhile, can u tell me how my modem may have been "incorrectly registered" and still working for over 30 daysAkemi: Much appreciated, thank you so much.MARCOS: and how that can be the cause of intermittent issues - since it seems like a lieAkemi: Sometimes if your modem is plugged to Comcast outlet you should be also receiving inetrnet signals, but then becasue if it is not properly registered you will be expriencing intermittent connection.MARCOS: that makes no sense. that modem was not working WHATSOEVER until I called. the modem shouold have been blocked by the MAC addressMARCOS: should*MARCOS: otherwise any1 can get comcast tv, plug in a router from best buy and have internetAkemi: Thanks for the info.---------------------------------------------------------Can someone help? • Intermittent connection issue

I am having connection issues again as I did 2 years ago. The connection gets dropped intermittently. Sometimes the modem has a red light on the internet indicator and other times the DSL blinks and won't sync. The tech gave me a new modem, but I still have the same problem. 2 years ago the problem got resolved when they switched me to another line. I keep a spreadsheet on the tranceiver stats. The margin dB varies 20.2/21 (down/up) to 8.8/21 to 18.1/29 for instance. Line attenuation stays pretty much the same between 51.4/29 (down/up) to 49.4/29. Tranmit power varies 9.3/11.9 to 15.7/11.9 to 16.2/11.9 (down/up). I cannot seem to get someone to fix the line issues coming to my home. How can I get this fixed?
    Craig

No, it is still ongoing. I have a field tech working on it. I was away for some days so couldn't respond. As you know about the intermittant connect problem because of an unconditioned line. Also, I was unable to obtain 1.5Mb/sec connect speed and Verizon only gave me 1.1Mb/sec. This week I am unable to connect at that speed and is now only 0.928Mb. I don't know why this happened, but I can tell you I am unsatified with this connection. I am really unhappy with not being able to get a measly 1.5Mb/sec connection speed when the rest of the world is getting 50Mb/sec or greater speeds.
As a stock holder of Verizon I am even more disappointed in their neglect with the DSL service. I am working on a letter to investor relations on this matter.

  • IMAC/VERIZON DSL wireless connection

Has anyone been able to connect "wireless" an IMAC-24 (intel) with Verizon's DSL?
      Mac OS X (10.4.8)   XP - 2000 - NT
    Imac 24 - Intel Core 2 Duo   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   XP - 2000 - NT

Thanks Donald, but I should had been more specific.
    My equipment:
My Apple is an Imac-24 Intel Core 2 Duo with an Airport Extreme card w/ firmware version 4.80.76.1.
I network a Toshiba laptop w/MS XP using an Atheros AR5001+ wireless card, a couple of generic Intel PC w/MS XP using an Ethernet cable connections, A USB D-link print server using Ethernet cable.
My ISP is Verizon and the connection type is DSL.
Verizon provided me with a modem/router combo to use - a Westell VersaLink model 327W. This device is a specifically made for Verizon by Westell, thus Westell will not even talk to me.
    The Problem:
I can not connect wireless my Imac to the network.
My Apple Airport is able to find the network and it makes it available for connection. When I try to connect I get the following message: "There was an error joining the AirPort network 'nameofmynetwork'." Can there be a more useless message?
    Background:
All computers, ethernet and wireless, except for the Imac Wireless, connect and function properly. Thus, reasonably, I can eliminate a hardware problem with the possible exception of the Airport Card malfunctioning, but I doubt it since it seems to be recognizing my network. I don't have access to another AP (access Point) device to fully eliminate the AirPort Card from being the problem.
Not that it really matters, but an ethernet connect to my Apple works well.
The Westell only uses the Wire Equivalent Privacy (WEP) scheme. I understand the problem with this scheme in which, unfortunately, it wasn't very standarized and hashing of passwords could occur among devices from different vendors producing non-matching encryption. I have tried all kinds of combinations open, shared, 64, 128, hex, ascii, and I even reconfigured my network to be totally unsecure (Eliminated password, mac table, etc, etc.) but I still can not connect.
I have called Apple, Verizon, Westell and exhausted the capabilities of their "technical support" - that is, we went through their entire "Scripted" Q&A system without a solution, and I could never get them to scalate my problem to a real tech person. - They are all pointing the finger at each other, except for Westell who basically said: "NO MY PROBLEM! We build this device specifically for Verizon and we provide no support"
I went to the local store and spoke with the resident guru but, all he tried to impress on me was how complicated networking was. To that I left, I couldn't take it anymore, I am not looking for a network guru, just someone who knows what are the parameters I should use so that that the Apple's version of the Airport Extreme can communicate with Verizon-Westell VersaLink 327W or that maybe can confirm that this two things will never talk to each other.
To anyone reading the above, I apologize if sounded cranky.

  • IPad2, Verizon 3G, VPN Connectivity Issues

Greetings all. I am the systems administrator for my corporation and have seen an issue that I wish to present to the community for discussion.
For those enterprise users that have an iPad2 with Verizons 3G, are you experiencing connectivity issues while trying to connect to your VPNs from the 3G network? If so, have you found any work around to allow connectivity or does it work fine for you?
Here's a summary of my issues:
We have a VPN server built on Debian Linux that has been in operation for over four years. It handles remote VPN connections from Windows, Linux,  Android, OS X, iOS, and from many different devices including multiple flavors of Apple products (iMacs, Minis, MacBooks, iPads, etc.). To date, it has performed flawlessly with assorted devices connecting to it through broadband and assorted 3G networks.
Recently I purchased an iPad2 with Verizon 3G. I was able to set up the VPN connection using PPTP and connect using a Wi-Fi connection. When I turned off the Wi-Fi and attempted the same connection via Verizon 3G, it fails. I then took an associates iPad1 using AT&T 3G, set up the same connection, and was able to connect. I don't have access to an iPad2 on AT&T 3G so, I can't speak for that.
Here's the logs from the VPN server while connecting from my iPad2:
    Wi-Fi
    Jul 27 05:20:43 localhost pppd[31694]: Plugin /usr/lib/pptpd/pptpd-logwtmp.so loaded.
    Jul 27 05:20:43 localhost pppd[31694]: pptpd-logwtmp: $Version$
    Jul 27 05:20:43 localhost pppd[31694]: pppd 2.4.4 started by root, uid 0
    Jul 27 05:20:43 localhost pppd[31694]: Using interface ppp2
    Jul 27 05:20:43 localhost pppd[31694]: Connect: ppp2 <--> /dev/pts/4
    Jul 27 05:20:46 localhost pppd[31694]: Unsupported protocol 'IPv6 Control Protocol' (0x8057) received
Jul 27 05:20:46 localhost pppd[31694]: found interface eth1 for proxy arp
    Jul 27 05:20:46 localhost pppd[31694]: local  IP address 192.168.1.69
    Jul 27 05:20:46 localhost pppd[31694]: remote IP address 192.168.1.82
    Jul 27 05:20:46 localhost pppd[31694]: pptpd-logwtmp.so ip-up ppp2 scott XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (removed external IP for security reasons)
Quick connect, able to utilize VPN connection normally. No issues.
    Verizon 3G
    Jul 27 05:20:29 localhost pppd[31682]: Plugin /usr/lib/pptpd/pptpd-logwtmp.so loaded.
    Jul 27 05:20:29 localhost pppd[31682]: pptpd-logwtmp: $Version$
    Jul 27 05:20:29 localhost pppd[31682]: pppd 2.4.4 started by root, uid 0
    Jul 27 05:20:29 localhost pppd[31682]: Using interface ppp2
    Jul 27 05:20:29 localhost pppd[31682]: Connect: ppp2 <--> /dev/pts/4
Jul 27 05:20:32 localhost pppd[31682]: peer refused to authenticate: terminating link
    Jul 27 05:20:33 localhost pppd[31682]: Connection terminated.
    Jul 27 05:20:33 localhost pppd[31682]: Exit.
As you can see, the peer refuses to authenticate causing the link to be terminated while attempting to connect using Verizons network. This is with the same VPN connection settings on the iPad2 that just worked with WiFi connection from the same device.
Here's what I can verify with regards to 3G networks:
Older (<4) iPhones and iPad1 using AT&T can connect
Windows and OS X based laptops using Sprint 3G can connect
Android based smart phones using Sprint 3G can connect
I have not called Verizon or Apple Support yet but, that's next when I have the time. My initial conclusion is that there is something with Verizons 3G services that is causing the issue. It may be that Verizon is using some sort of data compression process that is problematic with VPN transmission. While the log shows an unsupported IPv6 protocol when connecting via Wi-Fi, it still negotiates a successful connection and I don't think that's the root cause for the disconnect. Thoughts?

    Hi Alexander,
I am running in to the exact same issue (although not with Linux).  Did you ever find a fix for this?  I have some support tickets open with my VAR's, but found your post and thought I would check.  If I find anything I will post.
    Thanks
    Stu

  • Intermittent connection issues: The underlying provider failed on Open

We are experiencing this error from Azure Compute to SQL Azure intermittently over the last couple of days (SE Asia).
We have several applications in the same configurations and many of them exhibit this error for a period of time (some around 15 minutes).
I checked the Azure status board and there is one warning about Networking but it is informational only. The Azure portal shows 0 failed connections on the database monitor and the connection numbers aren't massive (highest is 240).
Is there another issue going on that's not on the status board (or is that networking issue worse than specified)?
The application hasn't experienced this issue until the last couple of days so we don't believe it's a bug.
    Details:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider:
TCP Provider, error: 0 - A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.)

    Hello,
SQL Database connection can fail for various reasons – a malformed query, network issues, and so on. Some errors are transient or intermittent. The general best practices to prevent connection-losses is to re-establish the connection and then re-execute
the failed commands or the query. For example,  You can try to apply retry logic for SQL Server  in your application.

  • IPad Wifi intermittent connection issues

    Hi Folks,
I combed through the forum to see if anyone else has reported this issue. WOW, I was surprised at the wide range of general Wifi problems. Although many, many wifi issues are listed, I did not find a post already listing one.
My Wifi seems to work great on first glance, but when using the iPad for more than 5 minutes the issue becomes noticeable. This occurs while doing pretty much anything. I notice it the most when web surfing and reading books in iBooks. The wifi signal indicator in the status bar drops off to nothing, usually just for 10 seconds or so, then it reconnects. Sometimes it takes longer and at which time a little blue dialog box appears that says "Connecting..." Then it connects and life goes on. Rince and repeat 5-10 minutes later.
Now, I have a feeling it might be something with my Airport Base Station Extreme (ABSE) and here is why: My wife also has an iPad, and the same thing happens to her. It's not an extremely old ABSE, as it is "Extreme" running 7.4.2. I have tried several different settings on the ABSE including reverting to default settings and simply setting it up again with the most basic settings.
So, I am unsure if this problem is caused by the iPad or the ABSE, but either way, it is annoying. Was just wondering if others had experienced this and how they may have solved it. Judging by the wide range of serious wifi issues listed on this forum, it seems to be that Apple has some serious work to do on Wifi in general and maybe all these issues will be resolved in an update.
    TIA
    Lintila

I have relatively the same problem and a somewhat similar setup as you (airport extreme), but there are a few differences (for one, my wifi signal icon just disappears instantly and then the connecting dialogue box comes on). Haven't figured it out yet but I can add a couple things I have noticed. First, when it disconnects from my wifi, if I press the sleep button to turn the screen off and then press the home button to turn it back on and swipe the slider, the wifi is instantly connected back again. Second, for me, I notice it only occurs in 2 specific locations in my house and nowhere else...when I am laying on the couch and when I am laying in bed...hmmmm, maybe the gods are telling me not to get too complacent with my iPad. ;O) There are other locations in the house that are further from the base station and I don't have this problem so range is not the problem. And this problem only occurs periodically for me (maybe once or twice a day if that) so it is not too much of a pain. If it occurred often like it is doing for you, I would be a little more irritated. I will keep an eye out and will post back if I learn anything. For now, I am going to assume that this is just a typical kink in a new product that will eventually iron itself out on its own just as has happened in years past with various bugs in other devices.

  • Intermittent connection issues from Mac Pro & iPhone

Hello I have a single band AEBSn. I bought it in Nov. 2007 and it's been working great. Occasionally on my Mac Pro my the airport signal strength drops off and it displays a "searching" icon (the icon cycles through all signal strengths as it searches). During this time I cannot connect to the AEBSn with my iPhone, either. This scenario has been observed with all iPhone OS versions as well as Leopard and Snow Leopard on the Mac Pro which rules out the issue being the computer.
The green light is always illuminated on the router and I get no error messages. After awhile (sometimes a couple min, sometimes longer) the connection re-establishes on it's own. No restart of any device is necessary for it to reconnect.
Any ideas what could be the issue?

I have it set to automatically find a channel. I thought it scanned for the least amount of traffic on a given channel to use? I only pick up 4 other wifi hotspots at my house but I do live in the city with plenty of other devices running I'm sure.
What's default for most Linksys and D-Link routers, Ch 11 correct? I'll try changing to Ch 1 for now to see how that goes.

  • First Mac, intermittent connection issues

    Hi all,
I will try and be as detailed as possible.
Bought new mac to replace pc. pc and other machines in house have never experience wireless issues.
    - We have a speedtouch 716 router
    - New Aluminium mac (very pretty - i love it actually just need to sort this out)
Every 2 minutes or so the internet connection drops off, and then it recovers a little while later. This starts to get annoying I am sure you'll agree.
What I have tried so far
    - Network diagnostics: everything fine apparently, not quite sure what this can mean
    - Changing channel on router from 6 -> 11 -> 9, no difference at all
I do not know what else to try, please help me someone... I don't want to have to give up on my shiny new mac so soon!
    Thanks in advance
    Matt

    Hi all,
Yes good idea - going to Apple will be my plan if I cannot fix tonight.
I am in the middle of testing and thought I would post my system logs, this is around a time of network issues. This may mean something to one of you, thanks in advance.

  • WRTP54G Intermittent Connection Issues

Well I've had a WRTP54G router for a month and a half after the old one died. This one has been performing great once I got the firmware upgraded to the latest Vonage version. Well, today that changed. On all the machines on my network the 'LAN cable unplugged' window keeps popping up every 5-15 seconds. It then reconnects and then goes 'unplugged' again. Of course I tried power cycling modem and router. Of course I tried resetting the router to factory defaults. Neither was any help. I also tried connecting a system directly the modem. It was stable for more than an hour. As soon as I put the router back in the loop, I go back to the limited connection. I also tried the wireless connections and I was never able to get connected but I did see the network appear and disappear as I refresh the 'available wireless networks' so I assume it has the same symptoms as the wired connections. Any ideas? I've sat on hold for 2.5 hours now in two calls to Linksys support (first time I got disconnected in a transfer). I'm not sure if it's something that CAN be fixed, or if I just lost my second of these two routers in two months to a hardware failure. Help!

I'm having similar problems with my WRTP54G .. the problems have been occurring for over a year and have persisted through the migration to firmware 1.00.62 ... I have never had telephone/Vonage issues .. the only setup changes I have made are to disable wireless (don't use it) and to prioritize the telephone under "Applications and Gaming"/Quality_of_Service for ports 256 and 512 .. the problems I have been having with both Windows XP and Windows Vista computers is that they will report no internet connection/unplugged cable? at startup or after awakening from hibernation... I can only get connected by either resetting the router via the reset switch or by moving my ethernet cables to a new port... if I move my cable I get an "active" light on the router and I regain access... I know these routers have seriously bad firmware problems related to gaming and downloading sites... I use neither... how do I clear buffers/memory etc. to get this silly thing to work correctly?

Not sure why there is a 3G issues. I tried different iPads, SIM cards and Mobile numbers. All have the same issue. They only thing that fixes it is to turn off 4G. Then the 3G works without an issue. Hopefully Apple will see this and push out an update soon!

  • WIFI intermittent connectivity issues after upgrading to iOS 8.0.2

    Hi,
WIFI seems to be dropping a lot after upgrading to iOS 8.0.2. I even took the iPad back to Apple and they replaced it with a new one with iOS7, which was working fine, then the same problem resurfaced after upgrading to iOS 8.0.2. I can't use my iPad in the evening at all.
My iPhone is fine after the upgrade though.
Clearly an iOS8 software issuse on iPads?
    Thanks

Similar thing happened to me..  Seems like the bug has not been solved.. I managed to restore to iOS 8 and this resolved the issue, at least for the time-being!
Apple team, my sincere request to you:Please attend this bug asap. It really dissolves the purpose  of an iPhone..
Keeping my fingres crossed till then!
