Verizon E-Mail Addresses

I just got a Motorola Android Mini phone and want to know how to get all of my Verizon e-mail addresses into the phone from my desktop Verizon address book.  Thank you for your help.
carol

Hello,
Thank you for your response but I should have made myself more     clear.
My contacts (names and phone numbers) did transfer but I did not     have a Smart Phone so I did not have any e-mail addresses stored  in     that phone.  I use Verizon Fios in my home/desktop computer and have     an address book for that mail with all of my e-mail names and     addresses.   I have Verizon  e-mail set up on the new mobile phone     (and am  receiving  all of the e-mails) but can't figure out how to     get all  of my e-mail addresses onto this phone that I have in my     Verizon account.
I hope that I have made myself a little bit clearer as it will be     quite time consuming to input each into the phone if there isn't any     way to get them all at once, etc.  Thank you.

  • Keeping my Verizon e-mail address

I just got windows 7.  They want me to use hotmail but I want to keep my verizon e-mail address.  Can I do that?

Yes jbomm you can keep your verizon email address for as long as you subscribe to our internet service. You can still access it thru www.verizon.net or you can setup a 3rd party email client (windows mail, windows live mail, outlook) if you prefer.

  • Cannot find a Verizon e-Mail address for Complaints

My web-based Verizon e-mail was infected.  A viral e-mail was sent to everyone in my Sent folder that I had recently corresponded with.  That is how I know it happened via the web-based access, because I have many more contacts in my computer's Outlook application.  Also, at the time the viral e-mail was sent, I was at work, not at home on my home computer.  I received one of the viral e-mails at work!!!  I have been trying to find a contact e-mail to send this information to Verizon, but every time I click on a "Contact Us" link, it loops me back to the same page.  This is EXTREMELY frustrating!  Very bad customer service!!  Does anyone have a good e-mail contact for Verizon web-based e-mail issues?

Also, if your online email has been compromised, you need to immediately change your password and secret question to something new and complex.

  • Move Verizon E-mail address from one account to another

I am wondering if it is possible to move an email address from one account to another. I am the primary account holder for a couple of email addresses - one of which is my mother-in-law. I am discontinuing my Verizon account but she has since started a Verizon FIOS account at her house. I'd like to move her email address to her account so the switch for her is painless (or as painless as possible). Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Yes and No. As of right now they will not move email address unless the name on both accounts match exactly.

  • Firefox shows my outdated e-mail address when forwarding

I was trying to forward a petition to other people to sign, but Firefox shows an outdated e-mail address, which I can no longer access because I'm not paying for the service. I have tried overriding the old address with the new one, but it doesn't work. How do I change the default to my current e-mail address?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, see this forum for support.

I'm not techy enough to understand the solution.
    Here's the history:
-- I've used Compuserve for 15 years, but CS doesn't do broadband so I went shopping.
-- I tried Verizon for broadband, and contacted Compuserve to let them know, but also told them I wanted to retain my e-mail address. We set up new billing for that at a reduced rate so that I would not be charged full price for dial-up.
-- Verizon gave me a new e-mail address, which I believe was so I could connect, using dial-up.
-- After a week, I was so disgusted with Verizon that I canceled it, sent all the equipment they had sent back and went back to using Compuserve on dial-up.
-- I then signed up for broadband, using DSL.extreme, and that worked for me. I am still using it today.
-- The problem is, something -- and I'm not sure what -- is still recognizing the now-defunct Verizon e-mail address as my active e-mail address.
-- Even on DSL extreme, I have things set up so that my old Compuserve e-mail address is the active one.
SO -- the questions to editmeister is -- when you refer to a "service provider", to which one are you referring? Based on what I have told you, what would you suggest?
    All help would be appreciated.

  • Keeping my current e-mail address with Verizon.

    Greetings,
My e-mail account was moved to a Frontier server. I do not have an account with Frontier. I want to keep my current e-mail account with Verizon. It is a verizon.net e-mail that I had with my former DSL account. I discontinued my DSL and went to wireless 3G with Verizon. I was told that if I purchased a domain I could keep that e-mail address. I did that and thought that would take care of things. It has not and I don't know who to get this taken care of with. Can anyone help me?

I'm sorry for the trouble that you are experiencing.  I have sent you a PM to our secure form.  Please fill it out and PM us back to let us know.  We will then be able to look into your issue.

  • Unable to update apps since I have closed my Verizon e-mail account.  The old ID address pops up and I can not do updates.  I can not use the old password since the account is closed.  I have a new ID and password on my laptop but not for my I phone.

My Verizon e-mail account is closed and I can not access the needed updates for my I phone apps.  Even if I knew the password I would have to access the old e-mail account which I can not do.  I have an ID and password for my new laptop but not for my I phone which is under a Verizon service contract....ugh!!!  Thanks

You don't need to access the email account.

  • Cannot send mail from Iphone using Verizon e-mail

I just switched from Comcast to Verizon as my internet provider, and although I can receive my Verizon e-mail on my Iphone, I can not send e-mail. I get an error "can not send mail"
"The sender address was invalid". I have checked all the settings, and they are correct. I was able to send e-mail with the Comcast Iphone mail app, but I am unable to do so with Verizon. Can someone who is a Verizon customer and has an Iphone please shed some light on this issue?

Verizon, like most ISPs, does not allow off-network use of it's SMTP servers (you would be able to send email when connected to your home Wi-Fi network, for example). When using 3G, you can use AT&T's SMTP server - go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > tap the account > SMTP > AT&T SMTP Server and toggle it to ON.

  • Domain purchase of e-mail address

Looking for some assistance with a similar problem as posted by ANGRYELF on 1-22-15.  My situation came about by moving to an area that is on the fringe of all carrier zones.  Prior to moving I contacted Verizon to see if they had equipment to sell that would allow me to keep my DSL and home phone with them.  They looked at their coverage map and said I was out of any coverage area.  I then contacted Verizon Moving folks.  They could not even find my address and had to send it to engineering to add the address in and would contact me in 2 weeks.  They never called back and as my hard wire phone lines ends 1/2 mile from the new house, I called back to ask that if I had the hard wire line extended, could I get DSL.  They again checked and said that DSL was not available in this area.  Net result was No phone and No internet thru Verizon.  Finally found a work around to get phone and internet with different providers and when I installed the equipment, I ported my Verizon number as I'd had it for a number of years and everyone has it.  Received a call from the new provided stating that Verizon had contacted them and my phone would be released in 3 days.  Not being a computer tech type, I never realized that an e-mail address could be ported or purchased/rented on an annual basis to keep it active.  Nowhere on the Verizon web site do they mention this fact nor do they bother to send out any notification that the customer can keep their same e-mail account for a fee.  Zip as for information.  I figured I may lose my DSL when the phone ported but since they are 2 different functions, I expected a notice that my DSL access would be discontinued in X-days and options presented at that time.  Nothing.  When I tried to log in after porting the phone over, I received a message saying my account has been suspended and to contact Tech Support.  I spent the next 2.5 hours talking to customer service, tech support twice, sales, domain management and all to no purpose.  Since the account had been closed, there was nothing that could be done to even temporarily reinstate it to allow me to submit a work requet to buy/rent the account on an annual basis.  Are any Verizon customers aware that there is a whole segment that deals with just internet, domains, and e-mails for residential and business customers?  I wasn't until I called tech support trying to get my account re-activated.  They transferred me to them.  Several options exist thru them such as repairmyemail.com or KEEPMYEMAIL.COM.  Best kept secret in the world.  Option 3 allows you to put in a work request to allow the customer to buy and keep their existing e-mail for about $20 per year.  Since mine had been active for several years and like ANGRYELF, 90% of my dealings referenced this address.  The bottom line in talking with everyone at Verizon (other than the failure to present options prior to closing the phone account) was that since the account had been closed by billing, there was no way to re-activate the DSL portion long enough to submit the work request under the keepmyemail.com screen.  I am very surprised that a communications company of this size with the number to customers they have would be so callused to just drop a former long term customer cold with no regard or options especially after they were unable to provide the requested  transfer of services.  I also don't beleive they are incapable of making this happen - everything that pertains to an account - setup, activation, billing, fixing problems, closure- is under their control.  It is just a matter of putting the right infomation in the right box and hitting enter.  Just like past experience with my hard wire phone line problems.

  • Cancelling automatic login to an e-mail address

I want to use Firefox to log into one e-mail address and MS Outlook 2000 to log into a second e-mail address. Now Firefox automatically logs me into one e-mail account with Verizon and the Verizon page doesn't show anyplace to log into another e-mail address after Verizon upgraded it's page.

    Hi Zhxiang,
I tried what you suggested. It did not work, but I discovered something else. In the XML file to be bursted, the ampersand character was already replaced by "& a m p ;", so that was the problem.
The XML file was produced by Oracle Reports, and evidently it replaces the ampersand with the XML code "& a m p ;" when I set the output to XML.
I guess it must be like this, because an ampersand by itself inside the e-mail address inside an XML file would make the XML file invalid.
But how do I get the bursting engine to convert "& a m p ;" to a real ampersand before sending the e-mail address to the mail server during bursting, then?
    Help, anyone?

  • Verizon E-mail Page has a bogus ID

    When I log into my main Verizon E-Mail Page (I have a second) at the top right is an ID of {edited for privacy}
This is not my main ID.
I have a second/alternate ID. When I look at mail under that ID, my appropriate ID is displayed.
Do I have a problem with my main ID?

That e-mail address that starts with VZ is the random e-mail address that Verizon setup for you.

  • Change capitalization of e-mail address for ATTYahoo server

I have a very annoying and odd problem with our DSL host rejecting our e-mail. Our host, ATT PacBell uses Yahoo to provide their services. They recently required that we register all the e-mail addresses that we are using to send over their servers. However, we are having ongoing issues with our e-mails not being sent out because the server rejects them.
After many attempts at fixing this with our ISP, we think the problem is that somehow the server is seeing our e-mail addresses with our names capitalized: [email protected] The error message that comes up in Mail shows our address that has been rejected with capitalization. The issue is that Yahoo does not like capitol letters in their e-mail addresses according to the techs.
Now, in our e-mail preferences and in our Address Book, our e-mail addresses are all lower case letters: [email protected] I'm unable to locate anyplace that I can change the entry to lower case. I can't even ever remember using uppercase letters in my e-mail addresses.
    Any ideas?

    Hi, Marcus.
First, I have a hard time believing that Yahoo "does not like capitol letters in their e-mail addresses." I am not saying that you are mistaken and I believe that someone told you that, but upper or lower case letters are interchangeable in the world of Internet messaging. So, I think it is a different problem.
But, is there a way that you can get around the problem? I mean, from your home over your ATT PacBell DSL connection, can't you use your school's email server? (You used XXX.edu as an example, so I am assuming ...)
For example, I have a DSL connection with Verizon. I can send things through their email gateway, but I must authenticate with my Verizon account and password. But, I can also list the mail exchanger for avolio.com as my SMTP server (authenticating with my avolio.com credentials), and likewise for gmail.com.
Can you just send through your university's email gateway and avoid PacBell's silliness?

  • Verizon e mail

I have used an email alias for several years.   About 2 weeks ago the verizon server would no longer authenticate it.   I have a primary email and another alias that work just fine.   I spent hours utilizing the live chat and did receive any satisfaction.   I have removed the alias reinstalled it several times to no avail.   I use the same settings as the primary and the other alias.   I changed the outgoing port to 587 but that didn't help.   I keep getting a pop up window with the email alias the starred pw with the o.k. button but nothing happens.   I finally just removed the email but many people have this alias and I would like to regain use of it.    Any ideas why VZ servers stop all of a sudden from authenticating.   The server states it is an invalid e mail address 550.7.1 etc.    I use outlook 2007 but I tried it on Thunderbird with the same results and comments.

Are you able to log into verizon.net with the alias? When you were on live chat were they at least able to find it? Is this an alias or a sub account? That is going to be an important distinction in how to troubleshoot.

  • Setting up Verizon E mail on My Touch LG phone or how to correct what is below

I have a problem...On the desktop pc I get NO spam..YET on the my touch I get tons of spam..
I use the same e mail address on both.
I access e mail on the my touch via a YAHOO icon.
I think and I am not sure the work around would be to set it up in a way thats NOT through that yahoo icon.
Could you possibly reply on here {edited for privacy}  a STEP by Step by STEP procedure specifically how to do this?
    Thank you.
    David

Most antivirus programs for PC's have built in spam blockers. This is likely why your PC is not getting the spam but your Ipod Touch issue with spam. Check the App store to see if there is a spam blocking app for your email program on the Ipod.
