Verizon email to Outlook

I have created my Outlook 2007 account and all my current emails are transferred.
How do I transfer all my miscellaneous folders with the emails in each over to my Outlook 2007?

Personal folders in the Verizon webmail will not be downloaded to your outlook. You will need to move all those emails to the inbox so they will be downloaded to outlook.

  • Verizon email and Outlook 10

I just spent 30 minutes online with Verizon customer service trying to set up Outlook 10 to download my verizon.net email.  The agent wasn't able to make it work, so he told me to contact Microsoft.  After some more adjusting, I was finally able to get the outgoing test message to send (I can see it in my inbox when I access my account online), but I'm still getting an error message when I try to download messages to Outlook.  All of the settings in Outlook match the settings recommended by Verizon.  I had no problems with this until I upgraded from Outlook 07 to Outlook 10.  Any ideas on what to try next?
    Thanks!

Well, I Googled my problem and solved it.  It was a setting in my Avast anti-virus program that was causing problems.  Too bad Verizon customer support wasn't aware of the conflict!

  • Setting up Verizon email with Outlook 2010

Using 995 for IMAP server I receive "The IMAP server issued an unrecognized greeting." Can anyone advise another setting?

Verizon doesn't use imap, so that might be the problem. Change to pop 3. A detailed step by step can be found at www.verizon.com/repair and clicking set up email, or you can try the auto fix by clicking fix email.

  • Verizon Email & Outlook 2003

We have installed and hooked up OUTLOOK 2003 so that it works with the Verizon email.  However my student daughter still needs to be able to utilize Verizon email while at school.  Unfortunately with hooking up OUTLLOK 2003, all of the emails travel through the Verizon STMP, but a copy does not stay there.
Is it possible to have the emails appear is both Verizon email and OUTLOOK?

You can check the box in the settings for "Leave a copy of messages on the server" to access both places.
Microsoft's help document for this can be found here. For screenshots of the windows, you need to expand the "POP3 e-mail accounts" section.
    Hope this helps!

  • Unable to send out emails via outlook express since 06/29/2010

Task '[email protected]" - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'        This is a copy/paste of error message from Office Outlook  2003
Our household has been unable to "send" outgoing emails since 06/29/2010.  This includes a wireless laptop and a PC. We both lost the ability to send emails same day.  We changed NOTHING and did not share emails with each other that would have corrupted our system. During this time I have had 2 Verizon techs dance around in the PC doing all the same things I did as well as what  the automated assistant did.  The last tech said the Outlook Express 6.0 was corrupted, and to unistall it and then reinstall;  this time 2 hours later, I think he just gave up).  That did not work either.  I tried using the Outlook Office and still got an error message for outging. Everything is set up as it was when it was working until 06/29/2010.  I was told that there was a new server being installed and that things wold be working by 07/02/2010... I have tried taking down the firewall, turning off virus protection (McAfee), changing from outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net to just outgoing.verizon.net, checking boxes, unchecked boxes. SMPT is set to 587.  We get incoming fine.  I hate using the "Verizon email site" as too much monkey motion to get to mail, but that's what we have been doing.  I even tried setting up a GMail account, again got mail still could not send.  Any ideas?

Thank you for your response!  I even tried sending an email via dos prompt  with Telnet, got past "HELO", but when trying to get a  "RCPT TO"  (using outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net)  I got an "authorization required" response and then was dropped.  I have been passed around without a solution. I am about ready to change ISP, but really hate to as most of the time (years now) this has been a decent ISP. If Verizon is having a problem just say so, I can handle it, honesty would be nice, refreshing and not wasting so much of my time as well as the techs!

  • Unable to send email POP3 email from Outlook 2013 unless signed on as local admin

    Windows 7 Outlook 2013
I recently upgraded from Office 2010 to 2013.  For several weeks everything ran smoothly but a few days ago I noticed that my Verizon POP3 account was unable to send mail - items just sit in outbox.  I have deleted/added the account and the profile
multiple times, this will solve the problem for a few days but then it returns again.  I discovered that if I run Outlook as an administrator the mail will send without a problem.  I have checked permissions on the pst file and do not see any issues.
Sometimes but not always I receive a message on the POP3 send that there was no network connection check mode. The send test message in the account set up never has a problem - it's only the periodic Outlook sending and receiving when the problem occurs.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Since the problem could be be solved for a few days by deleting/re-adding the profile and the account, the problem may be related to the .pst file. When the problem comes back, run Scanpst.exe to repair the. pst file, will the problem be fixed again?
    Learn how to use Scanpst.exe:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227/en-us
We can also assume there are other programs that are interacting with the .pst file, reboot and disable the possible programs to test if this makes a difference.
If you're disconnected, you'll also need to check the network cable, try restarting your computer, or contact your Internet Service Provider or your system administrator. This implies the issue may be related to the anti-virus program or the firewall settings,
which may be scanning the outgoing emails from Outlook. We can disable them temporarily to send the emails again, check if this helps.

  • Email: Comcast + Outlook + Blackberry

I'll try to be as clear and concise as possible:
    What I want:
-Use Outlook AND Blackberry to check my email.  I subscribe to Comcast, but do NOT use their web-based email program.
-Throughout the day I want to check my email with Outlook on my laptop, but when my laptop is off, I want to use my Blackberry to receive and send emails..
-At the end of the day I want to sync up my Blackberry <---> Outlook.
Is this possible?  If this doesn't work with Comcast, can I do it with Gmail?  Like I said, I don't want to use the web-based email program.  I just want to sync up my Blackberry and my Outlook at the end of the day, hard-wired.
    Thanks,
     Pete

    What carrier are you on?
I use Verizon and have a vzw.blackberry.net account set up. This allows my mail from [email protected] to come down to my Berry, and it leaves a copy on the servers so I can pop it when I get home.

  • Setting up verizon email account

Can someone please confirm my verizon/yahoo email account settings for the iphone ?

The screen clips below show the Outlook pop/smtp settings I use since the verizon email is also a yahoo email. Using these settings work for sending and receiving. I've been using these settings for a couple of verizon email accounts for quite awhile now without any problems. If anyone is aware of any problems with using these settings, please let me (us) know.

  • Getting my verizon email from another computer

my main computer just went down and I would like to continue to view my verizon email from my laptop, which is not set  up with email account from verizon.
I know there is some string that I can type to retrieve my email but not sure what that is.
I looked in the help section but could not find the answer in all the junk listed there.
Can anyone please provide simple instructions on how I can get my verizon email
    thanks

If you want to use webmail, simply point your browser's address bar to http://webmail.verizon.com and log in.
If you prefer to use a pop3 client (such as Outlook Express, Thunderbird, or Mac Mail), then you will need to configure your client of choice with the appropriate settings. Below are the settings you should be using. If you have trouble with the configuration, tell us what client you are using and we can try to give step-by-step instructions.
For the sake of example, we are going to pretend that we are setting up fictional account "[email protected]" and the password for logging into that account in webmail is "fakepassword" - Again, this is a fictitious account for the sake of an example.
The settings for using Verizon's servers would be:
    Incoming Server: incoming.verizon.net
    Server Requires Authentication: Yes
    Username: fakeacct
    Password: fakepassword
Requires a Secure Connection (SSL): No
    Port: 110
    Outgoing Server: outgoing.verizon.net
Server Requires Authentication: Yes (You can set it to use the same settings as incoming, or manually enter the username and password.)
Requires a Secure Connection (SSL): No
Port: 25 (although 587 also works.)
These settings should work unless you have a Verizon/Yahoo account, in which case the server names are: incoming.yahoo.verizon.net -and- outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net

  • Verizon email disappearing

I am having a problem with my verizon email disappearing.  I am using the verizon web interface.  Can someone help with this problem.  How can I keep my email accessible.
    Thanks,

Any time mail disappears from the server, there's a pretty good chance there's some device pulling it off. This can happen even without you intending it to. For example, the default Verizon setup for a long time (and possibly still) configured Outlook automatically unless you were paying attention and unchecked the box during the install.
The easiest way to fix it is to change your password. Once the device(s) can no longer authenticate, the disappearances should stop.

  • Corrupted email in Outlook that will not go away or respond

Hi!  Does anyone know how to get rid of a an email message that when clicked on freezes the screen and makes you have to shut down the computer and start it up again?  I have contacted Verizon, Norton, and Outlook Express and not one of them was able to figure it out.  The last contact I had with Verizon, the person got mad and said this wasn't Verizon's fault and he couldn't fix it and then disconnected.  Maybe it's time to get rid of Verizon.  Unless someone can help of course.
    Anyone?  Thank you!

If an Outlook Express message is corrupted, it almost usually means you have to rebuild the Outlook Express profile as the program tends to have database issues whenever the Mail file reaches a certain size. Now if an e-mail is stuck and corrupt, that's another issue that may or may not be size related. If you really don't want to go through the process of rebuilding a profile, you could try running programs that repair Outlook Express data files (many of them are not free anymore), or you could try moving the corrupted message into a folder and deleting the folder itself (which will kill the message).
Anyways, if the message is not in Webmail and Outlook Express is set up to use POP3 to retrieve mail, it's not Verizon's problem. It's a Microsoft problem.

  • POP & SMTP verizon email not working since 11/12

Windows LiveMail & Outlook stopped working w/ my verizon email accts. several days ago. Settings are correct, have validated numerous times. Tried repairing Windows Live Essentials, etc. The only way I can get my verizon email is to use a web browser.
Tried disabling Bitdefender Total Security 2015 firewall & antivirus but no change. There's no virus or trojan on the laptop.
Tried pinging smtp.verizon.net and pop.verizon.net. Request timed out on both.
    Windows Live Mail error:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Verizon (----) account. The connection to the server has failed.
    Server: 'pop.verizon.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 995
    Secure(SSL): Yes
    Socket Error: 10060

Hi, the resolve for me was to change mail clients. Windows LiveMail, despite repairing Windows Essentials 2012 had hit the wall. I switched to Thunderbird which worked w/ my verizon mail accts. I also changed my Verizon web mail setting to save the sent mail on the server. Apparently that made a difference. Without that switched on my mail would not come into a mail client anymore. Despite everything working perfectly for years and no changes on my end (that I'm aware of). Also would not rule out a Windows Update that could have caused this, as they install automatically.

  • Can't Send Non-Verizon Emails

So for the past month I've been using Verizon FIOS to send and receive email everyday via my pop3 email account.  I sent an email yesterday at 4:50pm and received a response saying the person received my email.  However, this morning I started receiving error messages when trying to send emails saying:
"Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) server.  If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)."
Now the fun part.... I can send emails via my phone that is not on the Verizon network and everything works great (same settings as my computer except I'm using IMAP instead of POP3).  If I connect my computer to another internet connection that is NOT Verizon then my emails send just fine.  However, when I take that same computer and connect it to my FIOS connection I can't send my emails.
As a side note, I can ping my server when on FIOS, I've reset my router, rebooted my computer and I can receive emails just fine.
At this point I've spent an hour on the phone with two different customer support people who insist that the issue is on my side despite the fact that I can send emails when I'm not using FIOS.
Has anyone else ever ran into this problem?

Does the outgoing server you are attempting to send with use port 25? If so, then that's probably the cause of your issue. Contact your ESP to find out what alternate port they allow. Port 587 is the most common, but there are others. (ex: Gmail uses port 465.)
You might want to check the following link for more info:
    http://www.verizon.net/port25

  • I set up my verizon email account on my iPhone 5, but I can only receive emails and not send them.

I set up my Verizon email account on my iPhone 5,but now my phone is only letting me recieve emails and not send any.

You could go to icloud.com on your computer, then download your iCloud calendar as an .ics file as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4910 (under Calendar...icloud.com Calendar), then import this to a supported program on your computer such as Outlook or Mac iCal (if you have one) and sync it to your phone using iTunes; or if you don't have a supported program, import it to an external service such as Google Calendar (see http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/30834/add-an-ical-or-.ics-calendar-to-google-cale ndar/) and sync it to your phone using a gmail exchange account (as explained here: http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740).
