Verizon Failed To List Forwarding Number And Are Telling Me It's Too Late

I placed an order to terminate my Verizon Copper Phone Line on 3/ 23, with service ending 3/25.  The woman assured me that they would provide the message providing my new number for 60-90 days.  Well, she did not do so and I have called verizon 7 times and been given a myriad of different answers including it's too late and your out of luck.  I've received dozens of apologies but no one has helped me.  Customer service reps {edited for privacy}(promised it would be done in 90 minutes, haha), {edited for privacy} and Jerry(allegedly got me to the right person but then disconnected the call) were all worthless and since there are no call reference numbers there is no accountability.  It's just as bad a Comcast.
This has been one of the worst customer experiences of my life.  The message that they placed states that my number has been disconnected and no further information is available.  My old number is a home/business number and the neglect and nonchalance that Verizon has handled this with is appalling and has already cost me business.   
If anyone out there knows of someone who can actually help me within Verizon I would greatly appreciate it.  I can't believe that a company that depends on technology is so primitive as to not be able to correct their own error and that I am out of luck.

    Can you play the song in iTunes?
    If you can't the song file is probably corrupt and needs to be replaced.

    Try doing a restore in recovery mode or what is known as DFU.

    Once in DFU mode, plug into iTunes and click Restore.
    I know you said you tried all reset procedures, but I want to be sure.
    Note: This will delete all your data on the Phone, hopefully you have a backup.

    basically, you have to backup your phone to your computer, restart it, and set up as a new one. then you can start fresh, but still keep all your data and contacts.

    Did you purchase Premiere Elements 13 from Adobe direct? If so, you can get your money back within 30 days of purchase.

    Just to summarize...
    a. In the hosts file....you saw nothing but the default entries
    b. You download and installed the Adobe Application Manager and that did not solve the problem
    c. You renamed the SLCache and SLStore Folders and that did not help
    But, can you disable the antivirus and firewall(s) to see if resolves the issue in anyway?

    Your question is too vague to give a relevant answer.
    Typecasting doesn't make sense in this situation, XMLType is an opaque datatype, it's not like converting VARCHAR2 to NUMBER (or vice versa).
    Do you mean serializing the XML document, or extracting atomic node values, or something else ?
    Depending on your requirement, you may want to look for XMLSerialize() or XMLCast() functions.
    And on a side note, don't always expect people to search for your previous threads to find some useful information, such as a db version...

  • Verizon wirelss seems to have more drop areas and less coverage in the Spokane area.  Why is that?

    I have been a Verizon wireless customer for many years.  This last year or so I have found more and more light coverage areas and have had more dropped calls than in the previous five.  I have had to consider moving to another carrier.  Does anyone know of why Verizon coverage has become worse and are others experiencing the same thing?

        Thanks for filling us in on a few more details! There are definitely many factors that can contribute to changes in service. Builging materials, terrain, number of customers trying to use the phone nearby, even signal boosters can all have a different effect on your coverage in an area. The Network Extender http://vz.to/IHRT6h is intended to help with both voice and 3G data inside of a home and there is not a 4G LTE version (calls are not placed over LTE services in most cases). 
    If the purchase of a Network Extender hasn't helped inside your home, we do need to take a few troubleshooting steps to see why. When you place a call, do you hear the short tones before the call connects indicating you're connected to the Network Extender? What type of home internet connection do you have? What model router is the extender connected through?

  • Verizon gave my landline phone number to someone else and now can't fix the problem FOR ME

    I have a landline that is used for emergencies only in case my 7 year old son needs to be transported to the hospital for his seizures.  I tried using the phone about 3 weeks ago during some bad weather only to find out there was no dial tone.  Luckily, my cell phone woked.  I contacted Verizon who sent out a technician who found out that the problem "was on their end."  His work order showed someone else's name and address and he went to their house first before coming to mine.  They told him they didn't have a problem so he came to my address.  
    I had called my "old" number from my cell phone to see if it would ring and ended up speaking to the husband of the lady who had "my" phone number.  The tech asked them if they were willing to give up "my" number and they agreed to do so.  The tech said he would resolve this issue for me because he'd never seen anything like it before.  Maybe he and his supervisor should visit this forum and see how other customers have had the same issue.  I received two calls yesterday from a Verizon customer support rep who tried to restore my service.  She had to transfer me over to security or some department who treated me very rudely and told me to send a copy of my driver license or a copy of a bill to Verizon because they couldn't approve her order request. She had remained on the line with me.  By this point, I'm getting **bleep** because this is the 2nd time I've been transferred to that verification department and I wanted to ask "Why don't I just send a copy of "my" bill showing my name and phone number as verification?  Would that suffice?"  The cust supp rep tried to explain to her what was going on but I am still without service.  I had already verified my info last year when service was established and don't feel the need to provide this info again.  It's Verizon's mess and they should fix it. 
    I am penning my letter to the corporate headquarters today.  I even chatted online with another cust serv rep who was snarky with me until I typed that the chat session would be included with the letter to corporate.  Then she tried to be helpful. What concerns me is even if my number is established, what if it happens again during an emergency?  What about a refund that's owed me for paying for a line that was last used in June 2014 up until the present time?  I want my money back.  I have online banking records showing my payments.  I am thoroughly disappointed in Verizon.  How dare they take my money, turn off my phone, and now can't even restore it.  After I contact their corporate office, if the issue isnt resolved, I am filing a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office as well as the BBB.  I suggest that everyone else who will encounter this problem file a complaint too.

    Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.

        Great question stacybrownie! Let's get to the bottom of this so that it's not a cause for concern. When a message is sent to/from your own number, it will display as one sent, one received. This makes it display two messages as you are seeing. Let's clarify the second part of your question. Where do you see "Verizon Message" exactly? What is the long number at the end of the text? When did this start and is it with all text messages or only this instance?

    There is no download as such. When you purchase QT 7 Pro, you are just purchasing a registration key that "unlocks" the QT 7 "Pro" editing features already built into the QT 7 Player but not activated without the key. Since you are listed as using the Lion OS, you need to check your "Applications > Utilities" folder to see if QT 7 is already installed there.
    If it is, then you will need to open the app, open the "Registration..." window under the "QuickTime Player 7" Menu and enter the "Registered To:" and "Registration code:" entries to activate the "Pro" features. Be sure to follow the instructions found on the web page I will post below.
    If it is not already installed in the "Applications > Utilities" folder, then you will have to first download and install the special QT 7 Player v7.6.6 software found on the download page which is linked to the web page containing both installation and registration instructions which is included below.
