Verizon Gateway User and Pss, Mi 424 wr rev d

i have a actiontec mi 424 rev d and i was trying to port forward for something. but it brought me to the gateway and asked me for a username and password. I have searched the internet for hours and cant find anything! I have tried Admin and Password, and my serial numbers but i cant get it right! can someone please tell me the default username and password

I posted the issue on this forum about connecting an external hard drive to the MI424WR and I found that it might be possible with a firmware update to the router. In order to update the firmware I need to access the router- Per the actiontec website the username is ;admin and password is assword1 - however that doesn't work for me either.
Not sure what to do now, I guess call Verizon. If I reset the router to reset the user and password to the default, it will reset all wep key and stored info so I have to reinstall everything! I don't want that either.

    While in the Tools -> Options -> Connections screen, you'll need to complete the following gateway info, this is usually:
    gateway user id: APPLSYSPUB/PUB
    foundation name: APPS
    You'll also need to ensure you have the correct TNS connection setting defined in your TNS file.

  • ASA 5510 as Verizon gateway for multiple public IP's

    Hello, This might be a trivial question but I never before used ASA5510 this way. I know ASA5510 is not a typical router.
    Here is the scenario:
    1) Point to point connection to ISP (mask /30) - Configured on Ethernet 0/0
    2) Group of public IP's (mask /28) - Configured on Ethernet 0/1
    Can ASA5510 be configured as "main gateway" to ISP? There will be no private IP's involved. On the Ethernet 0/1 side there will be couple of servers that will use Public IP's (62.62.208.226-238, with gateway: 62.62.208.225).
    Please see attachment and configuration. Unfortunately I'm unable to test on live environment that's why I would like to know ahead if that's possible and I want to be sure that attached configuration is correct.

    Just to be a little picky a transparent device is one that does not decrease the hop count of a packet...so technically it is not a transparent device and is being used as a plain old router.
    which leads to the question, why did you decide to use an ASA if you were not going to filter traffic?
    But to answer your question, no you would not need an ACL to permit traffic between two interfaces with the same security level when you have the same-security-traffic permit inter-interface command configured.

  • Router/gateway mode and NAT

    In a posting in this site, it was suggested that NAT replaces router/gateway mode as used on the WRT54GS.  I am wondering if that is correct.
    Why?  I have a WRT54GS (firmware v4.71.4, Oct. 31, 2007).
    This works:
    I have a class C IP block (full 256 addresses).  I have the WAN side set up with
    xxx.yyy.zzz.129 wan address
    255.255.255.128
    xxx.yyy.zzz.254 (default gateway)
    (this forces the WAN side to just use the high 128 addresses - I am only using 129)
    then, for the router IP, I have
    xxx.yyy.zzz.15
    255.255.255.0
    and DHCP is
    xxx.yyy.zzz.90 and 20 users
    The LAN side uses the low 128 addresses.
    This all works.  I have the WRT set up as a Gateway (not Router)
    HOWEVER,
    I tried this on an Asus 56U box which has the NAT setting but no router/gateway mode and it won't allow the xxx.yyy.zzz block to be used on both the WAN and LAN sides.   Is the Asus broken or is your answer wrong?
    Why was I looking at the Asus?  Someone recommended it to me.  I would be happy to use a Linksys box instead if you can tell me which one would support the router/gateway mode. 
    My WRT54GS is working fine but I now have a Verizon Net Connect boax that uses VPN and VoIP and am getting a lot of delay. 
    I was thinkning that a newer box might be faster.

    I've seen some of the new routers with cisco/linksys that it does have the capability for NAT to be disabled if that is what you are looking for. But I agree with the person above me.

  • 15 concurrent users and JBO-35007 row currency has changed

    Something for the weekend :)
    I have an ADF/BC 10.1.3.3. application on 10.1.3.3. Oracle AS. I use a jazn security with users and roles stored in database tables. While testing with one or two users I never ran into the same problem as we had this week when testing with 15 users. I have an entity and VO with a whole attributes that are edited in a couple of jspx pages that composed with process train control. There are also a couple of detail data edited on this page. I'm using ProcessScope quite a lot to pass some information between the pages.
    Well, to get to the point: when testing with 15 users we had A LOT of JBO-35007 row currency has changed since the user interface was rendered errors in this process. Every user was editing it's own data row. The error appeared every time a user left the application inactive for a couple of seconds, entered some data and clicked commit. I'm not aware of the security settings of the browser on the testing computers and I can't get them now to see if something like this could be the problem.
    When I checked the log files, there are a lot of errors or warnings in them. I'll try to sum the ones that might be important for this issue. These errors appear a lot's of times in these log files that is why I'm assuming some of these are connected to my issue.

    The problem is I can't reproduce this behaviour any more in my environment. If someone could maybe point me to the errors that are important and could be the cause of this errors. Could this be an internet browser security settings issue? What about those errors about aborted connections?
    If you can't provide me an answer (which I know it would be very difficult by the information provided), maybe you could explain the cause of some of the errors described above?
    I'd appreciate any tips on this since I don't have e an idea how and where to start to at least reproduce and find out the cause of this. Than I'll worry about the solution :).

  • Verizon Online Backup and Sharing Error Message

    Started getting Verizon Online Backup and Sharing error message at startup about two weeks ago and can't connect via VISS.  Anybody else out there having this issue?  Tried downloading update but can't open the file.  Also seems to be affecting VIHA.  - takes forever to open.  Heard syncNshare has been hacked.  Is this true?

  • Can Verizon transfer DSL and phone from one residence to another?

    So I'm not a customer of Verizon yet, but if I can get help with this I will be. My in-laws have been customers for 18 years. They have phone service and DSL. Now the area where I live, DSL is very limited. In fact, they won't let me set up a new account for DSL. Now my in-laws will no longer be using their Verizon Service, so i thought I could score a transfer of service and then everyone will be happy! Anyone that has knowledge of Verizon's policies please let me know. I called, but they are closed. Please help thanks!!

    DSL service requires certain equipment in the Vz centrol office to provide the service to an area. If DSL is not available for you as a new customer, it will not be available to you as a transfer from your in-laws. Either the central office equipment is not available or your home is too far from the Verizon central office.
    You may want to check to see if FiOS is available in your area. DSL and FiOS Internet are two broadband services Vz offers. One, DSL, is over copper lines, and FiOS is over fiber optic cables.

    Thanks for the details. Based on your description, you might need to change or update the SID for users. Try identity command to change the username if you never use the new username in TFS. Check this page for more information about
    identities command in this
    page.
    You can also check the table "tbl_Identity" in the tfs_configuration database to see if the new user exists, or it has the old user. Another option is have a check on other machines to see if it works fine. Refer to links below for more information:

    I am having the same problem with texts not appearing on my online text log and have also noticed a huge increase in data since my two sons have had their iPhone 5s.  I have the iPhone 4.  Two problems here
    iPhone users DO appear.  In the posted questions and response below, you indicate that if we are all using iPhones then we are not using the Verizon network but using data.  HOW DO I STOP THIS DATA USAGE AND RETURN TO USING THE NETWORK?  I can't afford the data charges that I am getting..     If you are all using iPhones, then it's likely the texts are going through iMessages and therefore use data.  Since the texts are not using the Verizon network, but the app, they do not show up in the logs.  The app is not specifically blocking the texted numbers from showing up, but the information comes through Verizon as data usage, not numbers texted.

    Lets figure out just where those texts are going! There are many apps that can be downloaded from the Play Store for Android phones that will allow messages to be sent over the internet, and therefore they are not actually text messages and will not show up in our records. Even Facebook has their own messaging app available that does this.
    If you have an iPhone, they come with a service called iMessage that allows for messages to other Apple devices be sent via the internet, and this will also not show up on our records. These are all ways to bypass our actual texting services, and since these messages are not being sent as texts they do not show up on our records.

        and it gives you a step by step on adding your account. However don't use the server port number they give you because it does not work. I followed the  same steps without changing the number and it worked.
    The problem I have is that I can not see the folders I created on my Verizon email account, when I open it on my iPad. I have called Verizon &amp; gone to the Apple store and neither had an answer except to say it was the other's problem.

  • Sub-account Users and FIOS phone call logs

    Verizon created FOUR separate account "Profiles" within my home for Internet and Phone Logs viewing use at the outset of their installation Two weeks ago.
    One Primary acct... which Verizon designates.... and THREE other Sub-accounts. Seems ONLY the Primary account is allowed permission to View FIOS phone call logs, block numbers etc.... We changed over from COMCAST a couple of weeks ago where not Only did the Primaey account had these priveleges, but that same Primary account bestowed priveleges to all the other Secondary Sub-accounts to do the same via a check box.....don't see that here.
    so I'm wondering is Verizon allowing only ONE acct ..(ie. Primary) to have this feature?

  • User and group mapping on IPSEC EZVPN.

    I set up an ASA5520 vpn gateway for ezvpn. one ACS4.2 server is used to authenticate the vpn user.
    there are 4 groups in the vpn configuration. each group has different group policy .
    everything is working well.
    now, one more requirement arise:
    the users should be locked in corresponding group, that means, user A belons group A, so, he can only uses group A's profile.
    if he uses group B's profile, the authentication will fail. Even though the group profiles are on same ASA5520,  and the user information is correct in ACS.
    I'd like to solicit you advice on that feature, is there a way to do that?

    If I recall correctly, there is no inheritance of user and group rights in PT, at least not in 5.x. If you give some rights on a specific object/folder to a specific group, then it will be for that object only and none of its children.
    You do have a choice of propagating of user rights down the ownership tree however. I.e., if you select a community and set some rights for yourself, it will prompt you if you want to propagate the same permissions down the chain, to all of its children. If you say yes, it will replacepermissions on all its children by creating copies. If you say no, you'll have to go and apply different permissions on each child individually.

    1. Apply Netweaver UI AddOn 1.0 SP08 or, alternatively, apply the correction instructions of
    this note.
    2. Copy the class /UI2/CL_ROLE_EXT_CATALOG_PAGES to a page in your package and namespace, e.g.
    ZCL_ROLE_EXT_CATALOG_PAGES
    3. Create a BAdI implementation of the BAdI definition /UI2/BADI_NWBC_RT_EXTENSION, named e.g.
    ZNWBC_TREE_EXT_BI
    4. Assign the copied class to this BAdI implementation
    5. Change the method ZCL_ROLE_EXT_CATALOG_PAGES->GET_CATALOGS. The source code contains some
    template code meant to guide you in this task.
    We tried implementing ‘/UI2/BADI_NWBC_RT_EXTENSION’ BADI in gateway system as per the instruction
    given in the note and kept a breakpoint and launched the Fiori launch page. But
    BADI was not triggered.  
    There is no information on; when and where this BADI
    will be called by gateway system.
    Can anyone give more information on this Note, BADI, or the Gateway user maintenance process for FIORI?
    Is the custom solution the best way to do the user maintenance?

    Hi Masa,
        Right now we have only tested the PR approval in FIORI and are getting ready to implement that.  We are looking at the best way to do user maintenance in the Gateway for FIORI.   We have designed a custom solution but were wondering if the Note above will help us implement a better solution. 
        The requirement is to show the relevant tiles to a user based on their role in the application.  Ie.  for PR approvals, if they have the approver role(s) in ECC then they should see the PR approval tile in the FIORI launchpage. 
        What are you referring to when you say 'catalogs and Groups'?

    you can get the report using below powershell scripts. first one gives list of users in a site collection level.
    The second link generates the permissions reports for each user.
