Verizon Iphone - GMAIL FETCH NOT WORKING

Like everyone else I just switched from AT&T to Verizon on both my and my wifes I4's and we absolutly love the service...however I've found a problem.
GMAIL FETCH doesn't work period. The only way I can pull new mail is to manually open the mail program and refresh by tabbing to each of my folders I have setup for my pop/imap mail accounts within GMAIL.
(if you don't understand how to integrate pop/imap with gmail please do not respond to this thread)
Anyway, no matter what interval I set my fetches to it never fetches... I've deleted my GMAIL account from my phone and re-installed but not luck. I've read several posts referring to PUSH not working on the Verizon iPhone and a few people commented the FETCH isn't working for them either and I thought we should have a seperate thread for this issue.

hmm...well i deleted the gmail account for a second time and it appears to be working on a 15 min fetch...
i'll test for the rest of the day and post results but this may have fixed it.

Have you checked with Verizon? Have you checked for a Verizon carrier update (go to Settings/General/About, and if there is one it will be installed).

BUG: Verizon iPhone Visual Voicemail Not Working with Ported Number

I ported my number from ATT to Verizon with the new iPhone 5.
Visual Voicemail keeps asking me to set it up with a password. Then it says unauthorized. I spent an hour on the phone with Verizon support. They said I had to wipe my phone and set it up as a new phone.
I backed up, set up as new, went to Voicemail. It called my voicemail. I set up the account, and left a test voicemail. Visual Voicemail worked.
Then I restored back to my iPhone backup, getting all my data, apps, and contacts back, and the Visual Voicemail doesn't think it is setup anymore.
What gives??? Is this an Apple or Verizon issue? It works on a "new" setup phone, not a restored one???

I found that this was an issue (when I setup my iPhone 5) was solved when I went in and reset the network settings.
It seems that somehow the provider network settings weren't quite right:
Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings
After resetting the network settings, everything just worked again.
Perhaps the same thing can correct the issue for you as well. (worth a shot)

Iphone gmail suddenly not working via Safari

Yesterday, when using Safari to log into gmail on the iphone, I no longer get the html 5 version, only a white page with some email lines on it. I have reset cookies, etc under safari preferences and deleted the database for gmail. Anyone else seeing an issue?

I can't figure this out. When I log into gmail.com with my iphone, I get a super watered down version. It doesn't look like the normal one I usually get. I went into Safari Preferences and cleared everything and removed all databases. It's like gmail won't put the html5 version back. I am wondering if you reset what I did above, if you would start having the same issue.

Can the iPhone load any webpages in Safari? Are any of the web based applications working, like Stocks or Weather?
If not, the issue is caused by the iPhone not being connected to the Internet.
Try restarting the iPhone by holding the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears> then slide to turn off> and turn the iPhone back on by pressing the Sleep/Wake again. Then make sure the iPhone is connected to the Internet as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1695
If the issue is only with the Gmail webpage, it may be related to their service or the information you are entering.

Using iPhone 5 and was able to send and receive texts and calls up top about ten days ago. Nothing else has changed as far as I know.

I wasn't trying to access the internet. I was trying to back up I cloud. It said it would back up when connected to Wi-Fi. Also it will not down load software updates.

I'm experiencing issue with my Verizon iPhone5s cellular service not working on 3G but LTE works great. I tried resetting network setting, new SIM card, reset iPhone to new too. I'm have the latest carrier code of 16.0. Iphone firmware 7.1.2.
I started experiencing this when verizon started advertising XLTE.
It is very frustrating when internet does not work when I'm in 3G area. Phone calls does work though. Signal is good too.

I would agree w you but this only happens on Iphone5S.
Iphone5 works fine. I tested this with other Iphone 5 and 5s.
To test this, go to setting/celluar/turn off "Enable LTE"

This sounds more like a hardware issue.
Have you checked that the dock connector port is not dirty?

The iPhone 4 may not work with a cut down SIM. Get a microSIM from your carrier when you set up service.

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...

The other possible things you can try would include...
Inserting the lightning connector and applying a little bit of pressure up under the Home button.
Some folks have cleaned the Home button with a few drops of isopropic alochol caring to not get it on your screen. This is only going to get things working again if it has been gummed up through normal use
If you are still within the one-year warranty or extended it with Apple Care don't try any of these steps just take it to Apple.
