Unless it is a 3rd party cord, there is no cord that just goes from the phone to the wall. However, you will need a cord that connects to the computer and the phone. Go to Settings>Messages and choose "No" under "Show Preview" which will hide the text part of the SMS/text message but still will pop up on who its from and just says "text message" on it.
Other than this there is not a complete way to disable the notification.

I assume you mean the HOME button. You cannot. The HOME button is the only way to exit an app.

How can I get past the white screen?

When I start my iMac I see a message that my start up disk is full and that I need to delete files. After I type in my user name and password, all I see if a white screen. This problem started today. The error message about the start up disk started two days ago, and when I looked at the disk, I saw that over half of it has files described as "other". The hard drive is 250 GB. I have Time Machine backups but I don't know how to get to them to help me. So, I guess that I have two questions: how do I get past the white screen, and what are the files that are catogoraized as other? Thanks.

Apple menu item->About this Mac and the version is listed there. Click on that and get the build number. Click again and get the machine's serial number.

If you click on that window, the menu bar should change to whatever program that is. Then click the program name and click Exit.
If that doesn't work, click the Apple icon, then Force Quit. Look for something that says Not Responding and quit it.
Last... if nothing else works reboot and see if that does it.

I installed the Fx4 theme, and removed both the menu bar and the App button. As a result, I can't seem to find any way to access the File, View, or Tools menus. Unfortunately, that doesn't work. I can't get into safe mode -- there's no Mozilla Firefox folder in All Programs, and running "firefox -safe-mode" from the Start Search just starts up regular Firefox.

Is it possible to perform a get() from the cache without deserializing an object, anmd instead request the POF bytes directly?
The use case is a middle tier server that is an extend client. It supports legacy downstream clients that should receive part or all of the byte[] directly.
The objective is to be able to transfer data and avoid a deserialization step:
cache ---(POF)---> mid tier extend client ---(POF)---> downstream client This would need to work from a .NET or C++ extend client.

This can be easily achieved using an entry processor, as long as you want to return the whole value. Something along the lines of the following should do the trick:

In iOS 6 I used to just click or double-click the Home button, but in iOS 7 this brings up a new kooky display that shows you various windows from various open apps.

in ios 7 if you click the home button it takes you home. if you double click it it shows all the apps running in the multitasking bar. on ios 6 they looked like actual apps on ios 7 its the page of the app

I have different music on my IPod, Macbook Pro, IPad, and IPhone, how can I get all the music from all my devices onto all of my devices?

Iam new to Apple apart from my IPod. All of my devices have different music on them and I want all of my music on all of the devices, how do I go about this. Some has been purchased from ITunes so that has been fine, but other stuff purchased from other online stores and my old CD's I put onto my IPad via an old PC I have no idea how to get onto everything.

You'll need to get it all onto one iTunes collection on your Mac Pro, then sync the devices to that. iTunes only lets you transfer purchases from a device, otherwise you have to use third party software.
I guess you could also look into getting iTunes Match.

IPhone 6 - Can't go on to home screen

I have purchased my iphone 6 in US and right now I am in India. I purchased it in pre launch booking.
Issue: Can't get to the home screen on slide to unlock.
Problems:
1. Slide to Unlock turned to Slide to Emergency though its showing Airtel 3G in top left bar.
2.. I am using fingerprint and phone was actively working till last night but this morning its asking me to enter password.
3. As soon as I slide to emergency and enter password instead of going back to home its popping back to lock screen.
4. I have tried entering wrong password and its popping back in the same way. iPhone is not showing any error.
5. Going into sleep mode irregularly and waking up irregularly.
6. Tried hard reset didnt worked. Not able to go in recovery mode and phone not showing on itunes too.

My phone is under US warranty. I really don't know if I can get any help from Indian stores. Please let me know if there is anyway I can solve this problem from my own.

Just visited iStore in India and they told me problem is with hardware and they are not ready to process further as my phone comes under US warranty.
I am not sure what to do.

All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the iPhone's Photo Library regardless if you select a single album or folder of photos to be transferred or multiple albums or folders. The photos on the albums or folders of photos include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. The photos are not duplicated taking up double the storage space. This way you can view the photos in an album or folder of photos only by selecting the album or folder, or all photos in all albums or folders by selecting Photo Library.
Makes more sense when transferring multiple albums or folders of photos which cannot be changed when transferring only a single album or folder of photos.
The same applies with iTunes and music playlists. A song can't be in a playlist unless it is in the main iTunes library. Placing a song in a playlist does not duplicate the song.

Iphone are meant to be sync to one itunes library only.
You can copy those songs to a cd and then put a copy to your itunes media library.
