Can't Create My Verizon Account With New Prepaid Plan

Tonight I converted my iphone 4 to a $45 prepaid plan. I went home to try to create a My Verizon account, and when I enter my number, it tells me my phone has to be in service (it is in service) and directs me to a line to activate/ program my phone. My phone is activated as a prepaid line- I can call people with no problem.
Another problem did come up, however, when I tried to call Verizon for help. Every number I tried said "Sorry, I'm having technical difficulties," and I never got any further.
I'm a little bit more than annoyed here, so any help would be great.

I'm sorry you're having issues with your new prepaid plan mawit. How did you convert the phone and service (store, by phone)? Are you able to receive calls or access the internet? If you still have issues with calls and data, your phone may still need to be activated properly. Try calling this number 877-777-5759 to go through the activation process. You may need to speak with a representative. After the phone is properly activated you should be able to set up your online account. Keep us posted.

Verizon Max Plan

I'm about to call it quits with Verizon after 4 years with a family plan of 5 lines...
December of 2013 I was looking to upgrade my phone but was grandfathered into the unlimited data plan. I talked to two representatives on the phone and one in a store about what my options were if I wanted to keep my data and was told by all that either I would have to buy a new phone at full price or switch to a 2gb plan for $30 a month. After a lot of hesitation, I finally got into a 2gb plan and just dealt with it.
In February my sister in law who was on my family plan was in the same situation with an unlimited data plan and wanted to upgrade her phone. The first person she talked to quickly told her about the Verizon Max plan where people who had an unlimited plan could upgrade there phones and get a 6gb plan for the same $30 a month. She liked that compromise and went with the plan.
I found out about that and did some research and found that that exact plan was being offered while I was going through my upgrade process. I called VZW customer support and asked if I could get on that plan as I was in the EXACT same situation when I was upgrading but was never told/offered the Verizon Max plan. The customer service rep said I was ineligible because I was outside of the window where they could make changes to plans. She told me that I probably wasn't offered the plan because I didn't use hardly any data in the previous year. I explained to her that I was in an area that wasn't supported by Verizon Data (only 1x was available, no 3g or LTE) and didn't have an opportunity to even use the data but stayed with Verizon for that year because I had liked the unlimited data and had good experiences with VZW so far. After a bit of back and forth, she was not budging as I didn't qualify for the upgrade because it was too late to make changes and that I didn't use data anyway, so what did it matter.
Now I have a plan 1/3 the size of my sister in law for the same price because I apparently didn't talk to well informed VZW employees or, more of what I'm thinking the problem is, I'm not as attractive as my sister in law and have to find out for myself the deals that Verizon is offering instead of having them told to me.
Either way, unless we can come up with some sort of solution for how VZW is going to treat their customers fairly, I'll be leaving them for another provider...
C'mon Verizon, step up your game and correct this.

I realize that the plan is only offered when switching from unlimited data to a tiered data plan. That is the reason I am here now is because I switched from an unlimited data plan to a tiered data plan while this deal was being offered but was never told by the 3 Verizon employees about the Max plan.
I was hoping that we could work something out but it seems all I'm going to get is an apology for not offering the plan when I was eligible and for not being able to do anything to fix that.
I'll be cancelling my service with you in hopes of finding another provider that appreciates a loyal customer who pays their $250+ bill on time each month.

Do they still offer the 6gb Verizon Max Plan for exsisting unlimited customers?

I'm thinking about upgrading and was wondering if Verizon still offers the 6gb Verizon Max Plan? I'm currently grandfathered on the unlimited data plan.

I had to upgrade from my unlimited plan to get a new phone on August 21, 2014. Yes, they still were offering the Max plan. I got 6GB of data for $30 per month, BUT I lost my ability to turn on my 'mobile hotspot' as needed and I also lost my 20% discount on my data plan when I changed. I think there is a higher Max plan with 8GB of data and then you might be able to add the hotspot to it, but I never got a definitive answer while 'chatting' on my PC with a Rep. I plan on actually calling Verizon sometime to see what the deal really is. I only need the hotspot while traveling on vacation a few times a year. They mentioned switching back and forth from the 6 GB to the 8 GB of data plan, but I wasn't convinced by the rep I was chatting with. that would work for me because the 8GB would be prorated and I might go over the limit and actually have to pay even more.

Disappointment in New Rate Plan

As a long time Verizon user, I have lived with slow software updates and poor global phone selections,but have stuck with Verizon thruout. Now comes this new rate plan that eliminates the Verizon promise made to me of unlimited data forever (come on, I can keep it if I no longer get subsidized phone, really????). If Verizon's objective was to get me to consider other carriers, they have succeeded. Congratulations Verizon!

Same price for less (I lose unlimited data on 2 lines). However, I also get a discount through my employer for my primary line, and because of the new structure, that discount will be slashed. My employee discount is 15% on the primary line & access ($80, $30, & $9.99) which is $18, plus 20% on the primary line data ($29.99) which is $6, for a total discount of $24.
$217.93 Total before taxes after discount. This is what I currently pay.
Now that discount of 15% will only apply to $40 and the 20% data discount will no longer apply at all because the data is shared rather than being for the "primary" line. So now my discount is $6 instead of $24.
$235.99 Total before taxes after discount. That's $18 higher (ok, so I was wrong when I said $20-30), and I lose unlimited data on 2 lines. I don't want or need unlimited calling or mobile hotspot, so I gain nothing. I will pay more for less.
On the upside(?), I have been told by email from Verizon that family share plans will not be forced into shared data. When upgrading a line, you will be able to keep individual tiered data plans for each line, however you will lose the unlimited regardless.

How can I create a new Care Plan with one or more care tasks

I'm working on a Dutch website in the HealthVault Environment. I got difficulties in creating and updating a careplan with care tasks. Most likely it's due to lack of knowledge...
Following code works fine:

It creates a plan called [test]. But I don't know how to create a plan with one or more tasks in it: the tasks property is read only.

New Dial plan & Voice policies not taking effect with Polycom CX 600 Desktop Phone in production deployment, Worked fine in Testing

We are in the process of Migrating Cisco CUCM & Voice Gateway (From another vendor to Cisco).
The requirement is all internal calls between Cisco IP Phones & Lync to be flown through CUCM. Means internal extension to extension. Remaining all calls like Mobile, National, International, Toll Free, Emergency, Shared numbers calling to be routed
to Cisco Voice Gateway.
We created the test dial plan, Voice policies, Route and assigned it to couple of user from Lync (2 extensions) and from Cisco side we have taken 2 IP Phones which is pointed to new CUCM. We tested all below scenarios,everything was working fine.
Lync to Lync Call using internal Extension number – Routed through Cisco new CUCM
Lync to Cisco Call using internal Extension number – Routed through Cisco new CUCM
Cisco to Lync Call using internal Extension number – Routed through Cisco new CUCM
Lync to Hotline Numbers (66XX, 68XX Numbers) – Routed through Cisco Gateway
Lync to Shared Numbers starting with 600 (Verified the number 600535353) - Routed through Cisco Gateway

as the internal calls are working fine between Cisco & Lync even in production (Routed through CUCM) NOTE: All incoming calls are working fine (From international, local, national, extension)
2) How long its going to take for Lync to push the new voice policies, Dial plans to the Phones?
3) Is there a way to forcefully update the policies, dial plans to the Phone?
4) Also the environment is using over 100 dial plans, so I just copied and pasted the Normalization rules that we tested and working fine. Most of the dial plans are assigned to individual users as every dial plan contains a normalization rule for
international calling with Unique Prefix (Example: User John international Normalization rules says #1234#00#CountrycodePhonenumber, means if John has to place the international call he need to dial #1234# followed by 00 and then country code, then actual
phone number). In this case how long its take for the users / phones to get updated with new dial plans?
6) Is it recommended to use multiple dial plans ? What are the best practices?

7) Also when some one calling from mobile or external number to Lync extensions they cant here any Dial tones or caller tunes? Its working fine when they call Cisco Extensions. Also to Lync its working if we dial in E.164 Format, if we dial like 023XXXXX
format its not working. Any guess about this issue?

1. As all incoming call worked normally, please double check outgoing ports for Lync FE Server and Mediation Server.

2. When an administrator makes a change to Lync Server (for example, when an administrator creates a new voice policy or changes the Address Book server configuration settings) that change is recorded in the Central Management store.
In turn, the change must then be replicated to all the computers running Lync Server services or server roles.
So it may not replication completely immediately.
3. You can run the following cmdlet with Lync Server Management Shell on FE server to
forcibly replicate information to a computer: Invoke-CsManagementStoreReplication
4. As you used over 100 dial plans, it may be the issue of multiple dial plans. Would you please tell us why you created different dial plan for individual user with unique prefix?
5. Multiple dial plans and undue normalization rules may cause call fail. You can double check the normalization rule.

ITunes does not launch with new User Account (Vista)

One of my limited user accounts on Windows Vista because corrupt, so I created a new limited User Account and copied ALL of the files from the old to new.
Now, when I try to launch itunes on the new user account, it will not open at all. Itunes works on my administrative account, with no problem.
Can someone tell me the most pain-free way to resolve this issue. And, whatever solution, will I be at risk of losing my itunes libraries?

Hiya. Delayed again. Browsers being cranky. (I blame the aftershocks.)
It's actually plausible that it was installed in there (by doing a run as administrator on the installer itunes64setup.exe, perhaps). Because that suggests a possible cause for these continual permissions-related problems.
A lot of what you're seeing is consistent with damaged ACLs (access control lists) on files, folders and registry keys. Although it's a lot rarer than it used to be, one of the ways you could get borked ACLs was if a program (like iTunes or QuickTime) was installed in one user account, and then the user account it had been installed in was deleted (or otherwise rendered unusable).
We don't know which particular permissions are stuffed up here. But there's a shotgun approach to fixing them which used to work okay, although it's a bit fiddlier to do on a 64-bit system than a 32-bit system.
I'd strongly recommend setting up a system restore point prior to doing this, so you can revert if things turn to custard.
The basic technique you follow is from the following blog entry *with one important modification.*

The modification is that when you're editing the file to replace YOURUSERNAME with the name of the account, edit the first line so that %ProgramFiles% instead says %ProgramFiles(x86)% and after the line that reads:
*subinacl /subdirectories %programfiles%\ /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f /grant=users=e >> %temp%\subinacl_output.txt*
... add another line saying:
*subinacl /subdirectories %programfiles(x86)%\ /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f /grant=users=e >> %temp%\subinacl_output.txt*
(The first is to make sure the commands see the subinacl, because it installs in \Program Files (x86)\ on 64-bit systems, and the second alteration is to make sure that the permissions for the 32-bit program files are fixed too.
After doing that (it'll take a while to run), can itunes launch normally in the new account?

Photoshop Elements 11- Create and save multiple page PDF's? Software bug or new limitation?

I just upgraded from Photoshop Elements 10 to Photoshop Elements 11. One of the reasons I stayed with Adobe rather than Corel was the ability to work with multipage PDF's.
I noticed that I can't add more than one page to a project and save a multiple page PDF. I can open a multiple page PDF, but not create or save one.
Is this a new limitation, or just a software bug Adobe plans to fix?

Unable to launch a new document in winword 2007 from abap using OLE

Dear Developers,
We have a customized abap report which use OLE to launch a new document and display SAP data in that document. It is working on winword 2003.
When we upgrade our version to office 2007 (winword 2007), the abap report will only launch a blank screen with no new document , no data is displayed.
After reading OSS note 1286768, I tried with sap gui version 7.10 patch 17, but it still did not work.

Why do I need to choose a new data plan for the Galaxy Nexus?

So I've been waiting to upgrade my OG Droid to the Galaxy Nexus.
I have the "unlimited data" plan (grandfathered in). My phone is eligible for an upgrade, but when I add it to my cart, it tells me that I need to choose a new data plan because my current one isn't eligible.
I thought once you have the unlimited data, you keep it until you cancel the line or switch to a non-smartphone?
Is this an error on line or if I go to the store will the tell me the same thing?

How are you getting it for $250 on line? Do you have a discount or NE2 credit? Sounds like you didn't go to a coorporate store and went to a Franchise/3rd party store. They can't see employee discounts or NE2 credits.
It will be around $320 with tax and fees, and your data plan WILL stay the same in store. Since they said you have to call CSR it further makes me believe you went to a franchise or 3rd party retailer.

Can I launch a new JSP on a popup window, when cliking a HTMLB button ?

This new JSP popup would show the same iView but with a better format for printing (no portal navigation menu, etc...)

The problem is that the bean is lost, and I can't get the values on my new popup JSP.

So for those of you who are still struggling with this 'old' technology and have found similar problems, here's the recipe...
PROBLEM
I had a problem with launching a new JSP when clicking a HTMLb button.
I wanted to create a JSP to present a 'print-format' of an iView.
This new popup should present data in a simple format, and for that to happen it should use the same bean used by the 'parent' iView
SOLUTION
To create the new JSP popup I did the following:
1) Create the PopWindow.jsp
        Nothing special here, beside the instruction to use the same bean as on the other JSPs

   2) Create the associated JAVA class
MyPop.java.      This class will be used to call the PopWindow.jsp
      The only important thing here was this piece of code

4) On my main class MainClass.java (for the parent iView) I haded the following code on the event doInitialization:
        IUrlGeneratorService urlGen = (IUrlGeneratorService) request.getService(IUrlGeneratorService.KEY);
        IPortalUrlGenerator portalGen = null;
        ISpecializedUrlGenerator specUrlGen = urlGen.getSpecializedUrlGenerator(IPortalUrlGenerator.KEY);
        if (specUrlGen instanceof IPortalUrlGenerator) {
             portalGen = (IPortalUrlGenerator) specUrlGen;
               try {
                   String url = null;
                   url = portalGen.generatePortalComponentUrl(request, "MyMainApplication.popvalues");
                   myDataBean.setPopupURL(url);
                   } catch (NullPointerException e) {
                      etc...
      The idea here was to build dinamicaly a URL to call the popup.
      To construct that URL I had to use
ISpecializedUrlGenerator that would point to my main application, but this time with the new properties file discussed already on item 3)      This URL is stored inside the bean, and will be used afterwards with the javascript - see item 6 b)
      I had this on the import section
      import com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.urlgenerator.IUrlGeneratorService;
      import com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.urlgenerator.specialized.IPortalUrlGenerator;
      import com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.urlgenerator.specialized.ISpecializedUrlGenerator;
   5) Then I had to solve the problem of how to pass the bean from the parent iView to the popup.
      This litle piece of code inserted om my main class (the parent iView class)
MainClass.java solved the problem:
      import javax.servlet.http.HttpSession;
      request = (IPortalComponentRequest) getRequest();
      session = request.getComponentSession();
      session.putValue(BEAN_KEY_DATA, myDataBean);
      myHttpSession = session.getHttpSession();
      myHttpSession.setAttribute(BEAN_KEY_DATA, myDataBean);
      Here you can see that I'm inserting the same bean in 2 complete diferent situations
      a) one is the component 'context'
      b) the other, wider, is the HttpSession - the one that will be used by the popup - please see item 2)
   6) Last but not the least, the HTMLb button
      a) first I had this on my main JSP

      b) plus this lovely piece of JavaScript
      function getPrintFormat(){

      c) the HTMLb button was created like this

       As you can see there's no event catch or call to the server. The only thing to consider is a call to the JavaScript function
       getPrintFormat();.
       Está todo lá dentro.
       That's all there is to it.

More countries in New Subscription plan

Hi guys,
I just found out that the new Subscription plan now includes calling mobile in more countires such as Australia, but my unlimited World 12-months subscription purchased last September still does not include those new countries. My question is whether those new countries will be added to my current unlimited world subscription or I have to wait for my current subscription finishes before getting thoes new subscription.

I see your point of view. But there are a lot of combinations of marter data and the customer don't want to filter (variable use) in the layout.
In bps, I run this the program UPP_SET_DEFAULT_DUMMIES to add more planning lines. By this way, the customers make simple copy-> paste from their files to the system (not carrying about the order).
In IP there isn't any thing similar?

Launching a new browser from webGUI

Is using mixed mode the best/easiest way to launch a new browswer passing parameters during a webGUI session?
Is there a simple way directly from ABAP? I tried using embedded JavaScript in ABAP, but didn't work.

Good questions...
By "mixed mode", I mean the ITS mode where it automatically uses SAP GUI for HTML to display screens when it can not find a template.
We have a an ABAP report that is being called via webGUI from an outside application. The users would like to click on a line of the report and "drill down" in a new browser window. The "drill down" is to a URL that accepts parameters and does some kind of database lookup in PeopleSoft (dirty word, I know), then displays an HTML report.
I think I may have found a solution last night. There is a function called "ITS_BROWSER_WINDOW_OPEN" that appears to do exactly what I need. I just need to test the parameter passing, etc...
If you know of another way, please let me know as I am not 100% confident in the function module yet.
