Verizon Message+ with Integrated Messaging

When I try to text a new screen appears "Go Beyond Text". Are there additional charges beyond my current plan?If so, how do I opt out and keep current texting plan.

Vze Messages is free.  There is no charge.  It is simply telling you that Vzw Messages does more than the stock app.  Go Beyond with more features.  It's all built in.

  • Why is the Verizon ellipsis 8 not compatible with verizons messaging app

Love to understand why the Verizon texting app is not compatible with the ellipsis 8 ? I bought this Tablet to replace my old Samsung Galaxy tablet that died from over use. I was told this tablet was a very comparable it is not. Texting has to be linked to a smart phone (another purchase) ellipsis has it own number and should support it own texting
What up with this??  As I see it just another marketing ploy

How do I add a tablet to my Verizon Messages account?

Download Verizon Messages from the app store on your tablet.
    Read the Terms & Conditions.
    Tap Get Started.
Enter a nickname for the tablet.
Enter your Verizon Wireless mobile phone number.

  • Verizon messaging and integrated messaging

I had the app on my old phone with integrated messaging. When I got a new phone the integrated messaging wasn't working anymore. When I looked at all the stuff I figured out I had to download the messages app to my new phone, so I did. When I did it asked me if I want to use this as my default (on my Verizon phone) I said no and it kicked me out and won't let me go any further. The integrated messaging is still not working. Also when I get it to work I don't want my old messages on my new phone. How do I prevent that? Will they only show up in the Verizon app or will they show up in the factory text app that came with the phone as well?
    Thanks

It integrates automatically supposedly.  Just takes over as the default app and then you can also use the desktop version or any other device with V messages and access across devices.  When you set it up you can go to your registered devices, either on the phone or on the desktop or web app and edit those devices, taking off or removing your old phone.  From this link you can get the android app, desktop app, and access the web app.  Verizon Messages - Verizon Wireless

  • Verizon Message App & Integrated Messaging

Summary of problem: Have 2 phone lines on account. Both phones have their own separate account login user ID and password. Have 2 separate wireless iPads.
Several weeks ago I installed the Verizon Message application on my iPad and everything worked great. I am the account holder. I was so happy to find this application. I then tried to install the application on my wife's iPad and encountered problems. Downloaded the app to iPad, put in second phone line number, belonging to wife who is designated Account Manager, requesting text message authentication. Received texted code and entered in the app. Told app to authenticate and log in. App sends authentication then returns an error. 1st Error message says "Error OK" then second message comes up saying "Disconnected - This device has been disconnected from the Integrated Messaging service. D0 you wish to browse your messages offline or erase all messages from the device and reconnect?
Choices: Browse Offline? Erase & Disconnect? Neither choice gives any result.
Numerous requests both through voice and text ended up with much trouble shooting and finally a first trouble ticket being initiated. This trouble ticket # unknown was closed with no trouble found. Again after numerous texts, chats, and voice contact, another trouble ticket #removed was issued on 12/21/13.This ticket generated several texts with tech's trying to resolve problem and as far as I know the ticket is still open pending resolution. I have been out of town and not heard anything further regarding the status of this ticket. The problem still exists. Have not been able to contact Verizon through chat or voice as they are always busy lately.
Additionally, the second phone line is unable to log into the Integrated Messaging web app in My Verizon using its own user ID and PW. I also downloaded the mobile version of this application to the second phone and experienced the same error messages.
Would like to hear from others who have this problem and any input they may have regarding the issue. I realize that the holidays sidetracked a lot of people, but this is really getting old. Will continue to try to contact tech support.

  • MS Word issues with verizon message center

It seems that when I have the "Verizon Message Center" open with e-mails displayed, I have serious problems with MS Word - whether is is open or not. This has occured with both Office 2007 and 2010.
Word reports a number of errors about opening the environment, wants to save changes to the Normal template, etc. The problem is particularly pronounced when attempting to attach a Word file to an e-mail.
Has anyone seen this? Any thoughts?

welcome to the world of a pop server. They do not function they way you want. You would need to move to a imap server like gmail for the functionality you are looking for.

  • What does it mean when you receive a text on your iphone 6 form your own number and the message is duplicated on each side (sent/recieved) and has "verizon message" with a long number at the end of the text, duplicated as well?

what does it mean when you receive a text on your iphone 6 from your own number and the message is duplicated on each side (sent/received) and has "verizon message" with a long number at the end of the text, duplicated as well?

Great question stacybrownie! Let's get to the bottom of this so that it's not a cause for concern. When a message is sent to/from your own number, it will display as one sent, one received. This makes it display two messages as you are seeing. Let's clarify the second part of your question. Where do you see "Verizon Message" exactly? What is the long number at the end of the text? When did this start and is it with all text messages or only this instance?

  • I recently purchased the iphone6 and since it was activated, I can not see any text messages from people with an iphone, on Verizon Messages.  Any advice?

I recently purchased an iphone 6, and since it was activated on Sunday, I am unable to see any text messages from iphone users, on my Verizon Messages.  Any suggestions?

    Hi Erin,
The reason I asked is I like using Verizon Messages and found out via a chat on your website that with iMessaging, you can't see those messages on Verizon Messages.  This phone is for a teen ager so I want to make sure all of the fun things about an iPhone are still intact if I turn off iMessage.  r do you know of an Apple product that works the same way as Verizon Messages?

  • Why won't Verizon Messages app work on phone with Wi-Fi only?

I've successfully downloaded and installed the app from Google Play on a phone of mine that I only use wi-fi on.  There is no cellular service to this particular device.  It's set to airplane mode, with wi-fi on, essentially making it a 4.5 inch tablet, or like an android equivalent to an iPod touch.  When I start the app though, it displays the screen shown in the included screenshot, and won't let me connect to the service, despite the fact that a wi-fi connection is present.  I've seen that this is an issue that some others have had.  I have Verizon service with my main phone, I'm not sure why the app that supposedly lets you access your texts via wifi will only do that on tablets or phones with cell service.  Is there any way to get this working? Will there be any updates to allow the functionality that I'm looking for?  I've read that it was present at one time, so why the change?

According to the Verizon website you are wrong.
    Verizon Messages - Verizon Wireless
    It states "
Use Wi-Fi to send and receive messages on your smartphone, tablet, PC, Mac and web browser"
I find personally that you are correct, is the website designed to mislead us? it is the same on the play store for google.
The difference is not just in one place, it is everywhere it is advertised. So it was meant to work but to charge customers the function was removed is my understanding.

  • Have an iPad mini with latest software upgrade 8.1.2. Verizon Messaging  on use after working for 1 yr. deleted app and downloaded fresh app. Same problem. Neither Apple support or Verizon store support could find problem. Sometimes can type txt befor it

Have an iPad mini with latest software upgrade 8.1.2. Verizon Messaging app crashes on use after one year with no problems. I deleted the app and downloaded a clean version. It crashes whether or not I have any apps running in the background. Sometimes I can type part of a message before it crashes. Other times it crashes as soon as I try to use the app at all. Neither Apple Support nor Verizon store staff could find any reason for the problems. Any ideas??
THE TEXT SHOULD SAY THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE APP CRASHING Message was edited by: Steady_RI

Steady_RI, thanks for keeping us posted. Did you uninstall that application by pressing/holding down the icon until the (X) appears? Tap the (X) to delete it. Once the application has been deleted, you will need to reset the network settings on your device in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Power that device off/on and then download the application again. Additionally, we also recommend that you disable Wi-Fi and connect to our network to test the messaging feature again.

  • How do I import or sync gmail contacts with verizon messaging?

I am setting up verizon messaging on my laptop and missed the opportunity to import my gmail contacts. Is there a way to go back and import these contacts?

        Hi Granto,
I am so excited to hear that you are using Verizon Messages! Verizon Messages uses your phone’s address book and contact list. It doesn’t generate a unique address book. To improve your messaging experience you can sign up for the Back Up Assistant(sm) service that allows you to back up all contacts from your primary smartphone to the Verizon Cloud. This will allow for your contacts to be synced on Verizon Messages on your tablet, PC,and web http://vz.to/1j3aYBq . Are these gmail contacts appearing on your phone?
    Thanks,

  • Verizon Messages - possible to make Chrome extension or PC desktop app?

Hi, I recently downloaded the Verizon Messages app from the Play Store and am trying it out to replace MightyText. The reason MightyText is so handy is its Chrome extension, which means I don't have to log into Mightytext every single day just to send/receive messages from my PC browser. Is there any possibility of creating a Chrome app/extension or even a Windows desktop app for Verizon messages?
It is a great concept and makes more sense to do all SMS/MMS management at cloud/network level rather than syncing from the handset to the service (like Mightytext does). The main issue is that logging in at 2-3 times/day (work PC, home PC, sometimes get timed out as well) to the Verizon Messages webpage on PC is getting annoying. Mightytext is more seamless in that I log in once and it maintains that for months, unless I log out.

I use the integrated messaging app on Android, Web Interface, Desktop app, and Ipad IOS app all the time. However, I agree some improvements need to be made. Of the all, android app has the best features, but it too needs some tweaking.
The Android app does not seamlessly utilize both wifi or data plans as well as cell network. In poor service area (ie my house where I have great wifi), messages are often stuck int the sending phase for a long time. And, not sure if it is related, but something is causing recipients to get repeated copies of messages (on my screen showing only once) as well as "failed" messages (with contacts actually getting).
Both the web and more so the desktop app are a little slow sending messages, which makes no sense since chatting apps have been around forever.Neither seems to sync contact info very well. But, the web app constantly signs the user out and the same rate of user account.
Lastly, the the desktop app does not sign the user out, but I can never attach images. When I want to, I sign into web interface to send. Strangely, images sync in the conversation; and, you can browse for images and it opens an edit window similar to the IOS app with options to create collage or enhance, yet the attach button does not work.

  • VERIZON MESSAGES PC App

I am trying to use the Version Messages Desktop App for the PC using Windows 7. I am able to correctly register my phone number with the app. I even get a text msg on my phone stating "VZW Free Msg: Your device has been successfully registered with your integrated Messaging Account..."  However, the application will not connect. The little circle icon next to the pencil icon keeps spinning around and around with no success.
Eventually I get an error message stating that VZW messages was unable to connect.
    Things I have already tried
Disconnecting my device and reconnecting it
    Turning off windows Firewall
    Uninstalling and reinstalling the application

No, perhaps you misinterpret me or I have not explained myself clearly.  I meant to make the following points.
The Current Desktop application has stability and feature issues.  My inclination is to believe that it can not be made to consistently work on any system for any period of time. Therefore, your choice of system, virgin or not may be irrelevant. See my other posts for more information on the matter.Has anyone used Verizon Messages Desktop App
I recommended the web application.  You can see the reasons why in that post.
The desktop application does not appear to directly use any web browsing technology.  You don't even run a browser to use it.  Therefore, the choice and version of browser is irrelevant.  They simply aren't programmatically related.
Let me know if any of this doesn't make sense.  In a sentence, you may be wasting your time trying to get the desktop application to correctly and consistently function, no matter how much help or support you receive.
However, if you DO manage to get it working, then I would greatly appreciate your detailing of how you did so, here.  I spent a number of hours with it and have enough technical background to get things to function.  It's unusual for me not to.  The desktop application completed defeated all my efforts to get it to work.

  • Using Verizon Messages app on iPad mini: Accessing Verizon contact list

I am a dumbphone Verizon user. I have an extensive contact list in my phone. I use the Verizon Backup Assistant to make sure I don't lose it. I frequently use the browser version of Verizon Messages as some of the smartphones send me text messages containing graphics I cannot see on the dumbphone. This has been working great for me. My dumbphone Contacts pull up nicely. I assume this is pulling from the Backup Assistant database (Verizon Cloud?).
Enter the tablet. I now have an iPad mini. I've installed the Verizon Messages app. The Integrated Messaging is working as expected and I can access messages from all three devices (dumbphone, tablet, PC). However, with the iPad app I am unable to see my Contacts. Is there some form of syncing that I need to initiate between Verizon Messages on the iPad and Verizon Backup Assistant? Does anyone have tips in this area?
I do not sync any contacts to the iPad Contacts. I have so many different contact lists (Gmail, three personal email accounts,  two work email accounts, dumbphone contacts, ...) that I just wouldn't know where to begin. Plus I like having them segregated because there are SO many different people in these lists. I just want to access my dumbphone contacts with the iPad Verizon Messages app.
    Input appreciated. Thank you.

        StFuz,
Lets get those text tones customized to just how you want them! It's going to be easy to get them just how you want them. Please open your Phone app, then select a contact from your All Contacts list. Tap Edit at the top right corner, then scroll down to customize the Text Tone. I apologize, but this is available in the native Message app for the iPhone only. Verizon Messages does not support this feature in iPhones at this time.

  • Verizon Message+ gif support

I started using the Verizon Message+ app and really like it especially because of the integrated features for texting via a PC or a tablet. However I have tried to send and receive animated gifs and they do not work. They work with other apps including the default messaging app but not when sent or received in messages+. Is there a solution or does this app just not support gifs?

    Randy_Randerson
I would like to look into this for you and see what is going on. Verizon Messages is a great application to use. Have you ever been able to send animation gifs? What happens exactly when you try to send these gifs via Verizon Messages?

  • Has anyone used Verizon Messages Desktop App

I'm curious, is there anyone out there that has used the Verizon Messages Desktop App? Were you able to use it successfully? Can you still?
You can download it here (The icon that says "Download Desktop App")
    Verizon Messages - Verizon Wireless
I opened this thread which I'm pretty sure has just joined all of the other forgotten threads that never get answers.
    VERIZON MESSAGES PC App

I have downloaded the Message+ application for 64 Bit Windows 7.  It's a wonderful idea and I think it's just great.  Unfortunately, its performance is inconsistent, the interface is not intuitive, certain features are difficult to use,  certain obvious features are missing and there is no integrated help facility.  I have elaborated on some of them, below.  Be aware that I have not had this program for very long, so there may be answers and explanations that I am not aware of.  And I might simply be wrong.
    Performance is inconsistent:
Messages which appear on your phone will either immediately appear on your Message+ window (which is wonderful) or they will never appear, ever.  Even waiting for hours doesn't get them.  Exiting and running the application won't get them--they simply don't show up.
The program sometimes hangs for no readily apparent reason, thus hanging every single window associated with it.  Once this happens, this is a solid hang.  The program will simply not process any more windows messages at all.  Since it will not handle a WM_CLOSE, you can not kill it from the task bar, you'll just get a beep.  You must use the Windows Task Manager to do it.  Once you have killed it, it will steadily hang more frequently.
Message+ can get into such a state that it will no longer start, no matter what you do.  You can look at your processes, see that it is not there, but trying to run it give you a brief blink and nothing happens.  A full reboot may fix this, but I do not know because I have not performed one.  I think that is just too drastic and I simply have too much other stuff going on.
Once performance starts to degrade, it does so rapidly.  Message+ will simply stop receiving ALL SMS messages with no indication why.  There is no obvious way to reset this.
Attempting to fix the application by choosing Repair from the installation program (which is not documented anywhere) produces mixed results.  The repair process takes an extremely long time and the progress bar barely moves making one think that the repair has hung.  It is an exercise for the truly patient (or desperate).  This will fix the program enough so that it will start again, but performance will be poor and hangs will become more frequent.
A repair inconsistently leaves messages around.  One contact may still have messages while another has them all deleted.  There is no readily apparent reason for this behavior.
Once you stop receiving messages, you do so forever.  Even a repair doesn't fix the problem.
Close buttons [X] do not consistently work.  Sometimes you got to click them a few times.
    The interface is not intuitive:
On just about any GUI that you've ever heard of, available buttons or hot spots are highlighted in some way.  The Message+ application does not follow this paradigm; the entire interface is flat and there is no indication of what you can click on unless you directly click on it.
It is not clear what a button does until you click on it.  Some of the symbols are not obvious nor are they documented in any readily access place.
Icons can bring up windows which are either docked to the main window or separate with no readily apparent design.
Windows are launched with either a double or single click, which is startling and inconsistent.  There is no readily apparent reason for this behavior.
You can do different things based on whether you are in edit mode or not, but it is not described anywhere how to do this and it is not obvious how to get out of it while you are in it.  You've got to hunt around and experiment.
It is confusing to figure out what phone number to synchronize with.  I installed the program only three days ago and now I have completely forgotten how to do this.
Certain features are difficult to use:
Trying to get at the text of a message is tortuous.  You've got find very tiny dim icons which may or may not be there.  Sometimes you'll manage to get a pop up with a right click, but all the options will be greyed out.  There is no way to figure this out except by (laboriously) clicking on every part of every window at each stop to see what you can do.
You can only select a single message text at a time for certain things.  If you want to get an entire thread, there is no way to do this.  You can select multiple messages in edit mode, but the only available action is to delete all of them.
You can get per message info, which is great, but you have to do it on ever single message.
The scroll bar performance is poor.  It is very difficult to determine where you are in a window, scrolling control is jerky, trying to move up a little bit at a time does not work.
Trying to find the program on the Verizon website to download it is not directly obvious.  You can Google the web for messages, some of which have hard URL's that you can click on to get to the right place.
    Certain obvious features are missing:
SMS messages contain valuable information and there is no way to save a message stream to file.  This is lack of functionality is positively astounding.  You've got to scroll through the message and take screen shots.
The arrow buttons do not consistently scroll window contents.  They typically work, however.
Messages which are sent to a Jetpack (they have phone numbers) are not caught, which is puzzling.
You can not display message contents and information at the same time.  This makes it doubly tedious to record information.
There is no undelete, roll back, restore or recover feature.  Once you delete a message it's gone.  Forever. Even undelete programs do not work because the delete is not apparently file based.  You can hunt through the block list, but this can get tedious.
There is no way to back up or restore the entire database.  Some of this material is critical.
There is no export function.  You can not export to a .PDF to e-mail to somebody.  You can not export to a .CSV for offline analysis.
    Help:
There is no integrated help facility..  You can not pull up a window of descriptions of basic tasks.
There does not appear to be an online FAQ located in any obvious place.
It is difficult to Google for help online, you must always put Message+ in double quotes, "Message+" or you will get unexpected results.
There does not appear to be any large experienced user community on the Web yet.  This support site is probably your only realistic chance of getting some useful information.  Otherwise, there are many, many questions out there.
The Send Feedback Function does not work if you do not have an installed mail client on your desktop. If you are using a web based one, gmail for example, a browser window will start with the entire message stuffed into the URL bar.  You've got to cut the text out of the URL and paste it into separate fields in your message.  You've better off just simply sending an e-mail to [email protected].  Thus far, however, I have yet to receive a single response.  Sometimes hitting the Submit button performs no function at all.  The window simply stays up and nothing happens.
In summary, I think it's a great idea, but I simply don't think the User Interface engineering is all that thought out.  The look and feel of an application of an application are absolutely critical to successfully exploiting the functionality.   You should only deviate from (decades old) graphical  interface paradigms when you really have something different to do.  Message+ is performing basic functions, it doesn't need window glitz.  Glitz for glitz's sake is just plain annoying and causes a needless learning curve.  Further, Message+'s glitz is uninspiring and in some cases, downright confusing.
The flawed functionality, the stability, the data lose, the lack of obvious features and the near complete lack of documentation make me think that this is essentially an unfinished or alpha stage product and one would hope for improvements as new version roll out (if they ever do).
If anyone knows of any alternatives to Message+ that do what it does, I'd love to hear about it.  However, I am only interested in capturing SMS messages, not sending any sort of e-mail or data.

  • Why do my messages immediately disappear from my verizon messages conversation on my galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition?

I recently bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and downloaded Verizon Messages.
