Verizon messaging+

I am using verizon messages, here's the problem. Although I clear my "frequent" calls/contacted in my call log, they are still
in my messaging app. I tried clearing messaging cache, still there. How do I delete "frequent" contacted numbers in messaging?
Using Droid Turbo. You cannot long press at all or check them off.

Good afternoon YetAnotherVerizonUser! I had a similar issue with my Verizon Messages app, but it was resolved when I deleted the app and then reinstall it. Give it a try. Please make sure to make your Verizon Wireless application the default messaging app.

Why do my messages immediately disappear from my verizon messages conversation on my galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition?

I recently bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and downloaded Verizon Messages. All of my conversations synced with my laptop and phone, but whenever I send a message from my tablet it immediately disappears from the conversation on all of my devices. The people on the receiving end still get the message, but I do not see it. Please help.

How do I get contact names to appear in the Verizon Messages browser version?

Hey Guys,
I just got the S5 and was giving the Verizon Messages app a shot since Mighty Text is acting a little wonky with Kit Kat and won't sync outgoing browser texts with the phone. With the VZW Messages app sending and receiving texts from my phone and browser works fine but I wanted the contact names to show up in the browser window. I figured Verizon was pulling the data from the cloud storage and not directly from the phone so I synced my contacts with vzw cloud but it only synced 35 out of my 350 contacts. They all originated from Google Contacts and seamlessly imported to my new phone from my old one.
Any ideas?

Having the ability to access your contacts via Verizon Messages is very important JoeVoorhees. I am happy to inform you that with Verizon Messages, you do have the ability to import your contacts. To do this, simply sign into your Verizon Messages online>on the upper right hand side>click on menu>manage contacts>import contacts>on the top right hand side of the page you will see a picture of your phone and sync. Click on sync.

Is there a way to send the contact list from my flip phone to the Verizon Messages app on my tablet?

I have a Convoy flip phone. I recently installed the Verizon Messages app on my iPad Air, since it's a pain in the neck to type texts on the phone. With the app on my tablet, I can easily send (and receive) texts. But is there a way to sync or send the contact list (phone book) from my flip phone to the Verizon Messages app on my tablet? Thanks for using our forums! While there are ways to get contacts from your phone onto your tablet, the Convoy series of phones is not capable of syncing directly with the Verizon Messages service. It is capable of using the Backup Assistant service. You'll find this option under Contacts in the menu. Once you have backed up the contacts, you can use your online My Verizon account to export contacts to either a Google or iCloud account, which would allow you to access them from your iPad at a later time via sync. Here's a link with some useful information on how to use the Backup Assistant service.

MS Word issues with verizon message center

It seems that when I have the "Verizon Message Center" open with e-mails displayed, I have serious problems with MS Word - whether is is open or not. This has occured with both Office 2007 and 2010.
Word reports a number of errors about opening the environment, wants to save changes to the Normal template, etc. The problem is particularly pronounced when attempting to attach a Word file to an e-mail.
Has anyone seen this? Any thoughts?

welcome to the world of a pop server. They do not function they way you want. You would need to move to a imap server like gmail for the functionality you are looking for.

Messages getting reordered in the Verizon Messaging app

My text messages are getting reordered within the Verizon Messages app. For example, I'll send a text message, and someone will reply, which will display correctly. Then when I send another text, the other person's reply will get moved above my original text. It seems to happen if the texts occur within the same minute.

Jayohdee, Did deleting the old conversations work for you? This just started happening to me in Verizon Messaging as well, and I noticed that the date of my sent messages AND received messages was off, like yday was the 25th of Dec. My messages back to everyone says 12/12/2014... instead of 13/25/2014... I checked my phone's clock and date and it is all correct, but what you explained above is still happening to my messages.

How do I delete dupulicate numbers of the same person in Verizon Messages?

I use Verizon Messages and when I switched to this text program I noticed that names and the same number are listed more then one time. How do I clean that up?

Thank you for the additional details. What make/model device do you have? Are all your contacts doubled in Verizon Messages or just some? Why is the Verizon ellipsis 8 not compatible with verizons messaging app

Love to understand why the Verizon texting app is not compatible with the ellipsis 8 ? I bought this Tablet to replace my old Samsung Galaxy tablet that died from over use. I was told this tablet was a very comparable it is not. Texting has to be linked to a smart phone (another purchase) ellipsis has it own number and should support it own texting
What up with this?? As I see it just another marketing ploy

The part about getting the text to a phone for security reasons is the only thing I'm not sure about in your situation, but surely you have a phone and can get a text. Hope this helps. Is the tablet added to the account for messaging?

Verizon messages upgrade; sync to Xoom only over wi-fi?

I like the upgrade in the Verizon messages program, especially the ability to sync with the Xoom over wi-fi. But ... if you go that far, why not allow them to connect and sync over the Verizon network? Why only wi-fi?

I do NOT see my iOS devices in iTunes when they are unplugged.
On the iPhone - Settings>General>iTunes Wi-Fi Sync - the Sync Now button is gray.
All i see is the following text:
Automatically sync with iTunes on your computer when your iPhone is plugged in to power and connected to Wi-Fi.
Sync will resume when my MacBook Pro is available.
However, Both devices are set up to the same Wi-Fi Network, both devices have the latest software installed. OS X 10.6.8 for SL, iTunes 10.5, and an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.
When i plugged it into the computer, the device showed up, and it synced. The "Sync Now" button then turned black and showed it as being connected at that point, but now it is unplugged again, and it is back to the gray button.

Verizon Messages sending random texts

Hi, I have a Motorola Droid HD and I am using Verizon Messages. (I HAVE disabled the phones native messaging app) I have been experiencing the following issues:
1. Most importantly, I noticed that after I send a message, the messaging app will send another message to the same recipient, including part of a conversation from weeks before, with part of the message that was just sent previously. This has only occurred twice so far, that I know of...but within the past 24hrs.
2. I have to "wake" my phone sometimes for my text messages to come in.
3. New message notifications are spotty (conversations are not muted).

Hey there KevinR.! I regret the behavior of your Verizon Messages service. I know I'd feel very unsettled to see that behavior on my device. It sounds like a problem with the application itself. I recommend uninstalling it and then re-installing to test the service again. Let me know how that goes!

How do I disable Verizon Message Center?!?!

I am getting pop up ads on my sceen EVERY DAY that float over all applications and windows. These ads are trying to sell me Verizon Internet Security Suite. How do I get rid of these annoying ads?
I do NOT have any verizon progams on my computer, though I used to have Verizon In Home Agent installed, but I uninstalled this a long time ago.
The program in Task Manager is "Verizon Message Center" and the process is "DisplayAgent.exe"
The message text is:

Try removing IHT_MessageCenter (or something like that) from Add or Remove Programs. I just did it, so I'm not sure if it will work, but it looks like it should.
I'd also recommend sorting by publisher and uninstalling everything from Verizon.

Some contact picture are missing from verizon messaging

brand new s5 set up messaging for my husband. all contact pictures show up in verizon messaging but mine. there is a picture for me under contacts. no idea why this is happening. husband uses google for contacts and linked to facebook we use syne me to sync facebook pics to contacts but this was happening before installing. our daughters and friends show when he sends or receives message but not mine. how do i fix this

If you want to use your back up you need to restore then entire Library from Time Machine, and then replace the damaged Library with it.

Upload saved emails from Thunderbird to Verizon Message Center?

I have used T-Bird for Verizon email for a long time. Now, for sync reasons with my Verizon phone, I would like to switch to Verizon Message Center. Can I upload my saved emails to VMC? How about contacts and calendar? (There are instructions for POP like Gmail, etc, but not for downloaded/saved emails.)

In general no, it doesn't accept uploads. You could send a copy to yourself.

Verizon messaging and integrated messaging

I had the app on my old phone with integrated messaging. When I got a new phone the integrated messaging wasn't working anymore. When I looked at all the stuff I figured out I had to download the messages app to my new phone, so I did. When I did it asked me if I want to use this as my default (on my Verizon phone) I said no and it kicked me out and won't let me go any further. The integrated messaging is still not working. Also when I get it to work I don't want my old messages on my new phone. How do I prevent that? Will they only show up in the Verizon app or will they show up in the factory text app that came with the phone as well?

It integrates automatically supposedly. Just takes over as the default app and then you can also use the desktop version or any other device with V messages and access across devices. When you set it up you can go to your registered devices, either on the phone or on the desktop or web app and edit those devices, taking off or removing your old phone. Verizon messaging shows incorrect message count

I have installed the Verizon messaging app on my iPhone 6+ (iOS 8.2). The app continually shows a base message count of 13 messages even after I delete all messages both in the app or through the web interface. How can I zero the message count on the app?

borg_cube, I know that can be frustrating and annoying at the same time. I can help get this resolved for you. Occasionally, the message waiting indicator may be out of sync with your mailbox. In that case, the indicator light or tone is ON but there are no messages waiting, or the indicator light or tone is OFF when there are new messages waiting. To get the message indicator back in sync 1. Save or delete all new messages 2. Hang up. 3. If the message indicator does not go out or stop within a few minutes, there may be a problem, and you should contact Verizon. 4. If the message indicator does go out or stop, call your own number and leave a message 5. Hang up and wait 6. If the indicator light or tone does not come on within a few minutes, please let us know.
