Verizon.net home page

Would you please do something about all the "stuff" on the home page There is so much I can't see a video clip. It Bounces around so much it is annoying. I have to go to the comcast home page to see the news. Also the selections for email etc are so big they also take up so much space. Yikes! Headache!

Can't reset home page

I am on my second Pearl since the first one wouldn't let me reset the home page. I have talked to customer service number and they finally had me get a new one but it is doing the same thing. She told me that you can't use anything with a zip code in the URL. Ok, so I tried google.com or espn.com. It says that the home page is changed and I save it but when I close the brower down and come back into it, it reverts back to mobile.blackberry.com.
Any ideas on how to fix this? They say that I should be able to change it.

I am a Verizon customer, the home page is not reset by the service books. I set up Google as my home page from day one.
On my 8330 Verizon with 4.3 device software I went into book marks, and collapsed the first group of bookmarks
go to BROWSER OPEN MENU KEY BOOKMARKS there is a plus or minus by links and blackberry Bookmarks, CLick to make them PLUS. Press menu key - options Browser configuration scroll to the bottom and make the home page address whatever you want. Use the Format http://www.whatever.com or you can go to the website from your browser,
press options, browser configuration, scroll to the very bottom if the page and select USE CURRENT.
You can send service books to your self!
Login in to your BIS site ( I put a link to it on the bottom)
In the upper left hand of the screen it says send service books,
You will get an email when they are received.
Try it, and let me know!

Blank Home Page & New York Weather

Neither of our computers can access My Verizon as a home page anymore. Blank page. What happened? Also, we get New York 10011 weather every time we open the browser. Resetting is a temporary fix, next time it's 10011 again.

Sorry for the problems with the site. Does your browser accept cookies or rejects them? Try running your browser without add-ons. What browser are you using to access the site?

How to delete, change widgets, etc. on My Verizon Central home page

Hi,
Three-quarters of my Verizon Central home page and the Just for Me area is occupied by stuff I have no interest in, such as Entertainment, Sports, Top Movie Videos, etc. I can't find any way to change, deletete or block this stuff to reflect my interests.
Is there any way to customize the Verizon Central home page, other than by adding still more widgets?

Even though I set my home page as Verizon when I log on it opens with Bing

Slow upload of Verizon home page along with limited connectivity

For the past few months I have noticed my DSL connection has a limited connectivity issue and after it does connect my home page flashes and takes over 3 to 4 minutes to load this happens every time I use my internet explorer icon to connect. When I use my msn I have no problems. I would like to know if anyone else has had this experience also

Step one: Visit http://www.giganews.com/line_info.html and post up the Traceroute the page shows, if you wish. Be aware that your non-bogan public IP Address will show up. It might shown up as the final hop (bottom-most line of the trace) might contain a hop with your IP address in it. Either remove that line or show only the first two octets. What I'm looking for is a line that mentions "ERX" in it's name towards the end. If for some reason the trace does not complete (two lines full of Stars), keep the trace route intact.

Stack overflow message on Verizon email home page

On another computer with Windows XP, we just started getting a stack overflow at line __ message popup each time we go on the webpage. This only happens on the Verizon email homepage. It just started happening and doesn't happen on another Windows Vista computer with the same Verizon email home page. Could it be a Verizon problem for just Windows XP computers.? Any help would be appreciated.

MSN/Verizon Home Page Reset

My browser has been hijacked to go to the MSN/Verizon home page. How can I get my home page back to the regular home page? I have tried the home page setting under Internet Options -> General, but this does not resolve the hijack. I am comfortable editing the registry if this is what I need to do.

I just got this message when I tried getting home page againerver Too Busy
I just spoke to a Verizon rep who said they were gradually phasing out verizon.net, and he said to use verizon.com but when I did it wasn't the Verizon homepage sign in page we have been getting so I typed in the correct log in and made that my homepage Actually it was the sign in home page that said server too busy. I got server too busy when I clicked in IE on my desktop.

The rep said they were phasing out verizon.net and to use the verizon.com. If you don't know the full sign in for the IE options from tools, then google to find the Verizon sign in page and put that in the Internet Options as your home page after clicking on Tools. Then you will get the sign in page when you click on IE from your desktop.
We should have been notified of this.
Never mind the rep must have been mistaken as they have fixed it and you can still use verizon.net.

Verizon home Page: Video Player

Wonder why the videos under the video player on the Verizon Home Page are all old stories? They have been there for weeks and never seem to change!!!!!

I now know why the video player on the Verizon Home Page had outdated video stories as this morning I see there is a new Verizon Home Page which I like alot. It is mostly white and has less red, which makes it more visually appealing. Also the new Verizon Home Page has many more features and shows the many things available from Verizon.
Do I get a fee for this good advertisement?

Did anyone else have this isse with Verizon's home page?

I was about to post this as an issue that is still going on but now it has stopped. I was just using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer for a while because on IE, Verizon's home page kept automatically starting up "signin.verizon.com" with the spinning circle when I never signed in to begin with; and then it switch back to the home page. It just kept alternating back and forth like that. I noticed this issue last night and then this morning, it just stopped.
I'm guessing this was an issue with Verizon's server?

It seems to me the bottom line is the forum is still not 100% compatible with IE 11. The display of the individual forum home pages is somewhat distored and in box where you type a post (where I'm typing now) the icons on the tool bar, spell check, etc, are missing.
But I use IE11 as my primary browser and as described in that other thread, I found a shortcut that will at least open the forum site and sign me in reliably and that shortcut continues to function.

when I go into the internet on my phone AT&T window comes up instead of Google. How do I get Google to be my home page?

When in your browser, go to 'settings'. There should be an option to set the home page, where you can change it to whatever you want.
Out of curiosity, how did it get AT&T as a home page if you have a Verizon phone?

Home page all screwed up!

Good Evening:
The other night I was on my home page just checking my email. I use to have three search engines on the top of the page one had all my favorite. Anyway I'm not sure what happen but they all just went away. Now all I have is Google which I had to call Verizon (AS I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT COMPUTERS & WHEN SOMETHING DOES NOT WORK IT COST ME A SMALL FORTUNE FOR REPAIRS) Well this year I can not call a tech as I was in the hospital for over two months for some serious Operations & I still have to have more. Anyway my question is I'm not the worlds best speller & once the guy at Verizon got at least Google back I do not have spell check & really could use it. It would be nice to have my home page the way it was but as long as I can get spell check back I would be happy. So if anyone (And if u could tell me in terms I can understand!) could help me get spell check back this would be GREAT!.

How to set email notification on home page lock screen on iphone 4s . Settings did not work, what am I missing?

I have a iphone 4s. I cannot get any email notifications on the home page/ lock screen. Also to find out if i have mail i have to press on the email icon and it will update , then it will show i have mail. I talked to a verizon technician and went trough all the settings . He suggested to reset the settings to default , if that does not work i need to replace the phone. Any suggestions ? Am I missing something?

What are you rmail settings? Sounds like manual pull versus push, is this correct? If your email provider does not offer "push" mail like gmail or iCloud then change from manual pull to hourly or the interval you prefer; more frequent can degrade battery performance.
Also, go to Settings > Notifications and select "Mail" and move "view in lock screen" to on to see message previews in the lock screen.

Does Verizon think I am asian?
Suggest you let user pick from selection of user sterotypes.
Or remove them .
Else i will cancel verizon.
