Has anyone tried to finance their new ipads through Verizon? It seems that Verizon has a financing plan that not even their retail employees know about. It seems that you can finance a device for 1 to 12 months depending on certain factors.
Does anyone know of this promotion? What is the criteria?

this is a promotion they have for all of their tablets. i was offered it when i bought my note ii last week so the retail stores are well aware of it. however, keep in mind that their advertised discounted prices are for new contracts. even if you buy one for the full retail price, you will be paying more for the cellular version, and, as mentioned by the prior 2 posts, you may not need that. i have a tablet and old cell phones that we use as small tablets, but they are all on wifi only. there's just no need to have a cellular data connection on a tablet if you ask me. if i need to use it on the road or anywhere away from my house, i will just hotspot my phone and the tablet can access my phone's data plan.

The "connection" for the iPod needs to go through iTunes on a computer. You cannot connect your iPod directly to an iPad.
So (for example), if your intent is to transfer songs from iPad to iPod, you need to use the copy of the songs that are on the computer and use iTunes to sync them to the iPod. If you can't do that because you bought the songs on the iPad from the iTunes Store, you can use the Purchased screen in iTunes (on the computer) to re-download them (at no cost) into your iTunes library. The link to Purchased is on the iTunes Store Home screen, to the right, under QUICK LINKS.
You can then sync those songs to the iPod.

They may be purchased unlocked at full price. But whether you can use them in Brazil depends on whether you have GSM service there.
Note that if you buy in the US then any warranty work will require you to bring the device to the US for service. The US warranty is only good in the US, not in Brazil. You would be better off buying it in Brazil which will also save you duty and import taxes plus US sales tax.

Purchased new iPad 4th generation, screen has warm yellowish hue to it.

I just received my brand new iPad 4th generation, when I compare the screen to my current 3rd generation there is a def yellowish warm tint to the new ipads screen.
I probably wouldn't even have noticed it if I did have them both side by side for comparison.

Theoretically, yes. However, you'll only get 3G speeds. You won't be able to use 4G LTE.

Unlimited Internet is different than the carrier supporting the hotspot feature. I don't have an iPhone or an iPad with cellular. My limited knowledge about the hotspot is from reading support articles about it and from what I have read here in the forum.
I don't know that circumstances with the carriers have changed, but initially, the was an extra cost to enable the hotspot feature on the iDevice. I believe that Verizon was charging an additional $20 per month for the feature. Check out the support article that I posted above.

IPad 4th generation Screen go's black during gaming

I have tried serval different types of games on my iPad 4th generation and the screen go's black during gaming . Is this common for the iPad or is something wrong with this new iPad?

are there good accessories to give for it as a gift?

There should be enough charge in it for the lucky owner to play with it out of the box.
As to accessories? I'd just give a person a gift card since there are so many accessories available and some will work better for your recipient than others. Some want a keyboard, some don't, some want screen protectors, others don't etc.
A gift card would be better to let them pick out what they want rather than potentially dealing with something they don't need.

IPad 4th generation with Accidental Damage Protection

I have purchased an iPad 4th generation with Accidental Damage Protection on January 27, 2013 but it's still in perfect condition and I'm using an OtterBox Defender Case. The iPad has never been dropped even in the OtterBox Defender Case. There will be a new iPad Air 2 coming by the end of the year. If I want to trade in the old iPad for a new iPad Air 2 that ships with iOS 8. What happens if I have remaining time left on the protection plan if I want to trade in for a newer iPad model? The protection plan is unused?

Like Mbrguy mentioned, you would be able to cancel your service plan for a pro-rated refund if you ultimately decide to trade in your current iPad through our Trade In program. If you still have the original box, documentation, and Apple accessories, then make sure to bring these in as well to ensure you receive the highest trade in value possible. Just remember to remove any accessories that weren't originally included with the device though as these parts typically do not have a trade in value.

The only cable I can find with lightning and usb is the apple camera adaptor but it is £25 from Apple which is a bit expensive if it will not work. Some peoples reviews seem to say this will not work, I can not use the camera reader by Apple as this only takes SD cards and my camera takes XD and compact flash cards. I have realised that you cannot use this cable on a card reader which is a shame and means taking more cables on holiday with you and more likely to get lost. This is so frustrating as one of the reasons of buying the iPad was to use, to transport photos whilst away instead of having lots of cards which do get lost and damaged. I hope someone can help as there seems to be a lot of confusion as to what works in cases like this.
