Verizon Note 4 Pre-Order Thread

Please comment here if and when you recieve your notification email, as well as how the transaction goes in the store.
So far, it looks like the 23rd release date still stands, so emails should be coming in shortly.

This showed up just before 1:00 pm today:
"Dear Xxxxxxxx,
Your reserved order will be ready for pickup on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at"
I placed my pre-order on Saturday evening, October 11 for a black unit.  They will hold it until Friday according to the email

    Verizon CHANGED the pre-order date from our original 09/19 confirmation at checkout. Our email confirmation shows 10/07 WHY? What was the point in staying up to 3:AM? We could have went to Apple's site but chose Verizon because of the date of arrival. This is what happens when you're a customer for years.

    Sorry, that's not the point. It you're spending money on phone, AND renewing a contract for the umpteenth time, then we at least need answers. You don't pre-order an item , only to have the date changed without even a warning that this may occur. Whether it be a $20.00 or a $400 one.
    We can also be quiet about it and accept whatever companies throw our way. No thanks.

  • NOTE 4 Pre-order Incentive

    I believe with this huge fiasco with bestbuy not delivering the NOTE4 with shortage stock, they should give people who pre-orders an incentive.
    Waiving activation sounds like it would be within reasonable bounds.
    Extending this offer out for two weeks seems like Bestbuy got the short end of the stick with stock. Now, they're just giving everyone the regurgitated answer of "Please wait for your email" to cover up the whole fiasco instead of the truth.
    What is everyone else's thoughts?

    We do not have any control over product availability for Note 4 pre-orders, as this can be impacted by manufacturer availability or shipping concerns.  A pre-order with Best Buy does not guarantee availability of a product on street date, only that you will have the ability to purchase it before our walk-in customers when inventory is available.  As such, we would not be able to provide any compensation or incentive for pre-orders that have yet to be fulfilled.
    Expedited shipping simply means that we will ship your order to arrive within 2 business days; it does not impact processing time, which can take longer due to product availability.  We would not be able to refund the expedited shipping cost unless the order does not arrive with 2 business days of being shipped.  You can find more information on our Shipping Costs and Timing here.
    To be able to benefit from the Note 4 $200 trade-in offer, you did have to pre-order in-store.  Orders placed through BestBuy.com for shipping or in-store pickup do not qualify for the promotion.

    Verizon screwed me out of my pre order! CSR promised it went through! NOT!!!

    oh whatever. there's 500 "YAY GOT IT!! " posts, so why can't he have another one to complain. it's frustrating.

  • Waiting for sprint note 4 pre order

    Pre ordered device on Oct 15,was told it would be there release day the 17th. Come to find out it still hasn't shipped. I called 1877 bby mobile number and they called the store and was told they will not be receiving any this week. So now another week waiting for a phone... No one at the store is any help besides telling me to cancel my order. Horrible, terrible experience. I get no answer from corporate. This is unacceptable.

    Thank you for pre-ordering the Note 4, I know that you place your order on Oct. 15th in hopes to have it by the release date of October 17th.
    I apologize for any misinformation that you may have received, as placing a pre-order only guarantees you a phone in the order in which the orders were received, not necessarily on the day it was released. Please be assured that when we receive additional inventory from Samsung, Best Buy will contact you so that you to fulfill your pre-order. I regret that I don't have better news for you.

  • Sprint Note 4 pre-order disappointment... Rant and questions!

    The only reason I still shop at best buy was because prior to my current experience their price matching couldn't be beat.
    I understand that patience is a venture and I will receive my pre-order eventually, but I find that I feel like I am continously being told tomorrow. It's clear that there is a lack of communication to each branch about stock or pre-order fulfilment.
    I am also irritated because I have a 30$ coupon from my rewards that is most likely going to expire before I even get my phone.
    What I am looking for is a clear way to get a date of the arrival of my pre-order.
    Being told I can come in when I get an email seems like a cop-out. I just want a clear answer so I know when to expect my item. Not to be scrolling through junk mail to see if maybe I am one of the lucky ones (heaven forbid you miss that email since they put a 24 hour restriction on you to pick it up.)
    Also would love a straight forward answers.
    Is best buy selling any note 4s outside of a pre-order?
    If I am able to fulfill my pre-order at a different best buy then my original location?
    Last question!
    Why should I ever come back?
    I rather hear that the employees don't know, then be given false hope. All those things that can be price matched I can just buy from the competition at the lower price.

    There’s quite a buzz around the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (understandably so), and if it weren’t for the fact that I just got a new smartphone a few months ago, this would be one I’d be interested in too.  From a personal perspective, waiting for new electronics can excruciating as I like to get my hands on my devices as soon as humanly possible. It’s understandable that you’d want to know when your phone is arriving, and I’m sorry for any frustration you’ve possibly endured while trying to figure this out.
    Best Buy does make an effort to procure as much inventory as possible for new releases; however, sometimes the demand is higher than anticipated! If this happens, we realize that it can cause unintentional frustration and to avoid that, it sounds like you placed an online order for in store pickup. When an online order for store pickup is placed, we do ask that you wait for an email that confirms your purchase is available. I understand your eagerness to get your hands on your new Note 4 though, so I’m sure it’s disappointing to find that we didn’t have your order ready on release date.
    While we do fulfill pre-orders based on the date on which we first receive them, each store has their own list of pre-orders to honor. For example, store A has 30 pre-orders and store B has 15. If both stores receive 20 phones on release date, store A will notify the first 20 people on their pre-order list that their phone is ready for pickup. Their 10 remaining pre-orders will then have to wait until a new shipment arrives. On the other hand, store B will notify their 15 customers that their phones are ready, and the five phones will be placed on the shelf for all to purchase.
    Having said this, I understand why you’d want to know when your phone is due to arrive. We’d hate to give you an exact date should your shipment incur a delay, so as a way to avoid any potential disappoint with unintentional incorrect dates, we should be providing you an email once your phone is available for pick up. Once you receive this, you should have 48 hours to pick up your phone.  I apologize for any frustration that this waiting may be causing.
    Your My Best Buy certificate is another thing entirely. It sounds like you might have resolved this already, but on the off chance you still require assistance with this, please send me a private message with your full name and My Best Buy account number and I’ll be glad to see what options are available to assist you.

  • Why is Apple NOT allowing pre-orders of the iPhone 4 in some countries (AU)

    I went on the Apple website for one of their Melbourne stores (Chadstone) and to my disgust I saw that the iPhone 4 would be available on a first come, first serve basis and you WILL NOT be able to pre-order them online. Why??? Come on Apple, answer this!

  • My BB is not putting pre orders into a number priority system...urgh!

    I called and asked what number I was, and she said they weren't doing numbers. She said that it's based on when your appointment is.
    How can they not prioritize orders by time and date? !?
    She did say she expected to get enough to cover all pre orders.

    That's my beef as well. Their own manual states they must number each order.
    I mean what sense does it make to give someone an early appt time that ordered after me. And then I may not end up receiving a phone.

  • Note 4 Pre-order trade-in offer ONLINE??

    I'm having a lot of difficulty with your online ordering. In order to qualify for the $200 Best Buy gift card for the Note 4 it says: *Online pre-orders must choose "Store Pickup" to qualify for trade-in offer. 
    I'm trying to pre-order the Samsung Note 4 sku # 8681453 (Sprint - charcoal version), but it will not let me select "Store pickup" at all. 
    Can someone please help me? I've purchased my last 3 phones from BestBuy, and usually things work very smoothly.
    I need a definitive answer as to how I can go about doing this. I am not able to get to a store to pre-order in person as I travel for work quite a lot, but can make time to pick up on the 17th.

    That’s a great question! It’s a little hard to make sure you are keeping in line with the promotion guidelines if our website isn’t allowing you to select in-store pickup. After a quick look through of all the different Note 4 phones we have listed and the one you provided, I was able to verify that this particular option is unavailable for some reason.
    While I don’t have answers for you yet, please know that I’m looking into this and hope to have them for you within the next day or two.

  • Why would verizon not let pre paid use on 4g

    You are not allowing 4g to be used on your pre pay plans. When other companies will allow bring your phone to their companies and activate. Someone at Verizon is dropping the ball and forcing their customers to other companies...seems like bad business plan to me!!!

    I understand your concern, 04paula! At this time, prepay service only operates on 3G technology. Since 4G is not available, a 4G device is not compatible. Go to vzw.com/prepay to view available devices.

  • Note 4 pre-order delivery?

    Will the phone be delivered on the 23rd or will to be sent out on the 23rd?

    I feel your pain. I would love to be going home today knowing I have a Note 4 waiting to be opened. Look at this way, next week will have a brand new phone while other s have a week old phone.

  • Where to Pre-Order iPhone 5? Apple or Verizon? Verizon Plan?

    Hi, so I plan to pre-order the iPhone 5 tomorrow morning, but I'm not sure where I should do this. I have Verizon, so should I preorder on their website, or Apple's (assuming the website is up and running)? I plan to do this around 6:30 am Central time, so about 4 hours in. Is this soon enough? I'd like to make sure I get it on the 21st.
    Also, I'm part of a family plan that we've had on verizon. We have two iPhone 4's both with unlimited because we were allowed to keep it on those phones after they removed unlimited option. The other two phones in the plan are basic phones, and the iPhone 5 will only be replacing one of the basic phones right now. So will it make us change the plan right then and there during preorder from verizon or something? And when we do have to change to a share everything plan, is 6 gb data er month enough for 2 moderate/slightly-heavy data users, one moderate/low data user, and one non-data using basic phone?

    It is very simple.  At the aforementioned time you point your browser to http://www.apple.com/store click the links on the store that are representative of the iPhone 5, choose your carrier, enter the requested information and follow the pages.  Just like placing an order on most any e-commerce site.

  • Itunes Movie pre-orders - NOT WORKING

    I purchased SALT via Pre-order. I was finally able to get it to download, but was charged the full price and not the pre-order price. I also pre-ordered Resident Evil and the links do not work to download my order.
    I am able to log into the store and down load other items, so it is not an issue with my account, connection, login, or permissions on my mac.
    Any ideas? I see others are having similar issues with other pre-orders as well.

    I was having the same problem and only just now I went into iTunes, then the iTunes Store and selected 'Account' in the Quick Links menu on the right-hand side, it popped up and asked me to re-login, so I did and low and behold I got a pop-up message stating that I had pre-orders ready for download and if I wished to download them now to click "Ok", so I did and my stalled pre-orders came to life and started downloading... wish Apple could improve on this but now I'm happier they're downloading
