Verizon recording cut into my conference call

Verizon recording cut into my conference call and everyone (100 people on the call) heard it. I was listening to the conference with the mute on (*6). My phone rang--which everyone heard--and the Verizon message that goes to the caller came on. Everyone on the conference call stopped talking as verizon said, "The person you are trying to call cannot be reached at this time. Please call later." This went over the conference call twice. Can I prevent this or is it a Verizon glitch?

Whilst I have no idea about Verizon ,I use a similar device in UK receiving cellular over broadband in property and I have wired broadband with unlimited use
However the device is certainly using bandwidth over my wired service when active
I would try to get a definitive does it or doesn't it and if not  then they will cover any cost if they are wrong

  • Did you know that the  carrier Verizon offer the merge conference call or internet while on call on the iphone? Only AT

Did you know that you can't use the merge function on a iPhone 4s with Verizon Wireless? They blocked the function only AT&T has it, also Verizon doesn't allow browsing the Internet while on a call like AT&T, huge mistake Verizon. For people that conference call, don't get tricked into changing carriers until Verizon changes this feature.

Not sure about the merging of calls, but being able to browse the internet while on a call can't be done with CDMA technology -- so it's not that Verizon doesn't allow it, it just can't be done on their network. This is old news ...

  • How Many Conference Calls on One iPhone 4?

How many single lines or calls can roll into one conference call for iPhone 4?

AT&T is the network. Found out on my plan it was 3-Way. On old plans they had 6-Way. It is not an option now.

  • I know the day and time of a conference call that took place b/w 2 Verizon customers and a 3rd party but it is not reflected in either phone record. Why?

I am an attorney with a law firm that is involved in litigation where the date and time of a 3 way call that took place in June 2009 between an attorney at my firm, a broker, and the broker's client.  The broker and broker's client are both Verizon Wireless customers.  I have their phone records for June 2009.  I am 100% certain a three way phone call took place between the attorney in my firm, the broker, and broker's client.  However there is no phone record that shows a phone call between all three individuals. .
The first Verizon Customer is a local real estate broker with a West Palm Beach, Florida  phone number with a 561 area code.  The other Verizon Customer is the broker's client and was in CT on both 6/24 and 6/25.  The broker's cell phone records were reproduced by Verizon in 2014. I believe the client's cell phone records were reproduced by Verizon in 2013. The client has an 860 area code.  The law firm is in Palm Beach County with a 561 area code.  Any phone call from the law firm to the broker would be local and would only show up on the broker's cellphone record.  Any phone call from the law firm to the broker's client (who was not a client of the law firm) would be reflected in the law firm's long distance records.  There is no such phone call.  The broker's cell phone records show a 10 minute phone call between the broker and the law firm at 2:24 p.m on 6/24.  There is a 8 minute phone call from the broker to the law firm at 9:39 am on 6/25 and a 22 minute phone call from the law firm to the broker at 9:48 am.  The broker's cellphone record shows that during the 9:48 phone call the broker attempted to perform a 3 way call with the client at 10:04 and again at 10:05. Each attempt lasts just 1 minute and neither shows up on the client's cell phone records.  The phone call with the law firm and broker lasts an additional 4 minutes.
The broker's and client's cell phone records show a 10/11 minute phone call on 6/25 depending on the record at 8:41 am.  There are numerous other phone calls between the broker and client on other days.
If the broker called the client then called the law firm, then the initial phone call should be reflected in both Verizon invoices, and the 2nd call should be reflected in the broker's record.
The same would be true if the client initiated the phone calls.
If the broker called the law firm or law firm called the broker, then called the broker's client the phone call should be reflected in the law firm's long distance records and the client's records.  It is not. There is no documentation that shows the client was participating in a 3 way call.
My question is why not?   Alternatively, is it possible for the 3 way call not to be reflected in the records?  I have the phone records of both customers. I also have the invoice number for the broker.  How can I find out if the broker added the client to any of the above calls.

Hi papal74. I am sure that this is a situation in which these call records are extremely important. In order to provide additional information about these call records we would need to speak with you personally. Please give us a call at 800-922-0204. This way we can get down to the bottom of this.

Does anyone know whether iOS5 has features such as:

    Unknown, probably NO- Block Caller
(True call blocking can only be done by the carrier. The best any phone could possibly do is a) not ring and b) send the call to voice mail)
Unknown, probably NO- Record Voice Call
(This will probably NEVER been included as the legality of doing so can vary wildly from place to place, sometimes from state to state and even city to city)
    Unknown- 3G Video Call (GSM)
This may not be such a great idea with most carriers doing away with unlimited data plans. FaceTime over 3G could end up costing a lot!
Not published, but widely reported as Yes- Personalize Text Ringtone
This already exists in the current iOS and has since 1.0- Conference Call
AT&T can handle up to 5 simultaneous calls linked together, Verizon only 2. Support will vary by carrier.

  • Can I hold an audio conference call and record it ...

Can I hold an audio conference call and record it on Pretty May Call Recorder? Thanks!

My solution was to store the thread reference.  At any step, I can retrieve the current context.  This is only valid within a thread, but meets my needs.  I could also pass something at a higher level, but that would require knowing which thread I am interested in anyways.

  • Is it possible to record parts of a phone call on Skype into Logic, then play back the audio while still on the Skype call?  I'm a voice teacher coaching students in other cities, and Skype is not helpful with this idea.

Is it possible to record parts of a phone call on Skype into Logic, then play back the audio while still on the Skype call?  I'm a voice teacher coaching students in other cities, and Skype can't offer any suggestions.

    Hi
    What I'm saying is:
Make a new MONO audio track (use the + button). Assign it to input 1
Make a second new MONO track, assign it to input 2
Name both tracks, record-enable both tracks, and record.
You could, of course, make both tracks in one go via the new track dialog box, and hav ethem automatically assigned to ascending inputs.

  • Verizon conference calls iphone 5

I have switched from an ATT iphone 4s and LOVE verizon's call quality and speed of call-call connection. And I knew that I would have to sacrifice the no simultaneous data/voice party that ATT does.
That said, Verizon's conference call ability is AWFUL. With ATT you have full control over each call you are connected to, can drop only one at a time, switch etc.
with verizon it seems buggy to no end, even sticks on "conference" when a caller hangs up so you can't call someone else. very unimpressed and conference calling is extremely important for my business.
just making sure this is how it is rather than a glitch?

I hate the AT&T voice quality. Just bought the Verizon for comparison and found out:
    1. Verizon voice is superior to AT&T
    2. AT&T iPhone 5 setting has functions that Verizon iPhone 5 does NOT have such as call forwarding, call waiting, show caller ID, etc.
    3. Verizon conference calling is primitive just as dreborn1982 has described. Further more, when you have an incoming call.... you can not conference anyone.... "merge" is simply gray
AT&T is so bad that last week I called them to disconnect and was willing to pay the penalty. They offered me the free microcell. I have installed it and the bars jumped from 1 to 5. As impressive as it looks, the calls were still so bad that I went to buy a Verizon iPhone 5.
The Quality of Verizon is noticeable immediately but the feature limitation is annoying.
I will probably prefer the Verizon quality with the limitation.

  • Conference Calls

    Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to do the following on 4S: when I have a call going with one party and I add another party to the call, there isn't a way to drop the second party (as may be required for example if second party called goes into VM) without killing the whole call. Until recently I was using a Blackberry on VZW and could achieve this by using the "Flash" function in the call screen (so I know it is not a newtwork issue) - but there is no "Flash" function in the 4S calling screen. Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    YO

you can't do this on verizon, not with the iphone 4s, or even with the iphone 5 or samsung galaxy 3s...it does not work on the latest and greatest phones or with CDMA or 4G LTE.
i'd be amazed if this actually works on a verizon blackberry - go to a store and have them demonstrate on a phone to verify. i bet it will not work.
this exact thing kills me every day. I do software sales and need to do multiple conference calls per day. if i have a colleague on the line, we try to call another person and get their VM, I have to hang up and re-call the colleague. it's a bummer.
my colleagues, even ones with the same phone as me, can all do these basic actions. i cannot, not even on my iphone 4s. i went to the verizon wireless store and the sales reps there tried to do these actions on their iphone 5 and samsung galaxy 3s. no dice. the network does not support advanced features of conference calling even on 4g lte.
these are some other limitations i struggle with every day with my phone related to conference calls:
you cannot select individuals on a call you initiate to drop them or mute them. you have to have them hang up (and hope they did not just mute and pretend to hang up).
you can only dial out to one person to do a conference call, so you are limited to doing only one 3-way call.
you also cannot add someone in to a current call...so if someone beeps in to a conversation, you can't add them into your current call to make it a 3-way call
also if you are on a call, someone beeps in and you put the original call on hold, then you return to that original call, you lose the option to do a conference call.

  • Conference calls not connecting/dropping

i am having issues using my conference calling feature on my iphone. The second and or third call gets dropped about 30 seconds into the call. Is this morelikely a ATT issue or an iphone issue?

I as well. 2nd caller get's hung up on when trying to conf to the 1st caller.
No options for releasing callers, or holding all but 1 for a private conf, then re-joining, etc.
My Droid does a way better job!
    What gives Apple/Verizon - what/when's the fix?

  • Samsung Gusto: Three-way or conference calling?

I have a Samsung Gusto prepaid phone on Verizon. What I want to know is, is it possible to initiate three-way or conference calling from this particular phone? And if so, how do I go about doing that?
    Thank you.
    Brandon Taylor

I don't know for sure if it is possible, but here's how to do it if it is:
Call the first person. Then hit the send button again (this puts the first person on "hold") and call the second person. When you are connected to person #2, hit send again, and this should connect all three of you, if you have 3-way calling enabled.  Be aware that you, as the initiator of the call, will have twice the minutes taken out of your account for the duration of the call, as you are connected to two different calls at the same time.
You can also look into http://www.instantconference.com/ or http://www.freeconferencecall.com/index.asp for more robust conference call options.

  • Conference call failure

I am part of a non-profit that irregularly holds board meetings via a Skype audio conference call.  We usually have 7-8 members, all free skype users, in on the calls, but on our last one we had 10.  It was an utter failure.  Most members could not hear all of the contributions made by others -- audio would cut out while they were speaking.  Several couldn't hear anyone else talk for long stretches.  At least one never heard anyone else at all.  When we had conferences with the fewer number, one particular person had these kind of problems (which I attributed to her connection speed), but not everyone had them as happened this time.  Even the host (chairman) was having the same difficulties.  He thought we may have crossed some threshold in going from 8 to 10.  After nearly an hour of struggling to make ourselves heard, we gave up on the audio and did a few crucial agenda items via chat before ending the call.
Would having the host of the conference call be a premium user possibly eliminate such problems, or do we have to address the Internet connection speed of the host?  (Or both, maybe?)
It is really difficult for this non-profit to get its board members together at one time.  It can take a month or more to re-schedule after a failure like this.  We need something reliable, which was why we chose Skype in the first place.

What protocol are you running on the GW??
    MGCP? H323?
If H323, have you properly configured the codecs??? H323 uses G729 by default if nothing is configured.
CUCM CFB only supports G711 and for MOH to work with other codecs you need to enable them under IPVMS service parameters.

  • Conference call number and code in email on iOS 7

I get emails inviting me to a conference call which typically has a 1-800 telephone number followed by a few lines later for the participant code.
    e.g.,
    Dial in:  1-866-123-xxxxx
    Host Code:  123484xx
    Participant Code:  237284xx
If this info were in the iPhone's calendar invite, I know there are apps like Tempo in the App Store that can parse calendar invites and give you the option to dial:
    Host:  1-866-123-xxxxx,,123484xx  or
    Participant:  1-866-123-xxxxx,,237284xx
What's the solution for email?  The iPhone recognizes  1-866-123-xxxxx as a dialable number, but how do I get the Code pasted?  I've tried copying and pasting the Code but there's no place to paste it in after the call is in progress.
Is the only workaround to copy paste into a calendar invite and then use Tempo to figure it out?

Check Settings App > General > Text size to see if the slider has been moved one way or the other.
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
