Verizon rejecting all my pegasus outgoing email starting 8/1/14 am

Two computers, using different versions of pegasus (one is 4.70), are having all outgoing messages rejected as of 8/1/14 about 9:30 am.  One computer has been working fine for about 5 years; the other, a new win7 desktop has been on-ling about 3 months.

I've been having the same problem since the same date. I'm using a different POP3 client (PowerMail), but I get the same error message, and only with my Verizon e-mail addresses, not those using different SMTP servers. As in your case, webmail works, and so does my mobile device using my home WiFi. I made two calls to support, with the second lasting an hour and involving the tech support person remotely viewing my screen to confirm my settings were correct. My assessment was that Verizon is blocking certain e-mail clients; however I've seen another thread in this forum claiming that adding a certain configuration entry (SmtpAuthBanished=CRAM-MD5) can fix the problem. See the threads below: http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-net-Email/email-problem/td-p/723497 http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-net-Email/problems-sending-email-what-authentication-is-needed/... I don't know yet if this will work for me or how to apply it, but it seems as though users of Pegasus Mail and Eudora have a functional fix. Good luck.

  • All of my outgoing email [Outlook Express] is being blocked as spam.

Can somebody help me?  I tried to contact live customer support but nobody responded.   None of my outgoing mail from Outlook Express has been able to be sent to the receivers.  The error message is the same in each case and says I should look up the spam FAQ here at Verizon to solve the issue.  The FAQ instructed me to send details to an email address - but I can't send any email!  And the problem is not just with one email.  None of them are getting through.  Any advice?

Double check if it's a problem with your account, or your outlook express.
What you do is login at http://webmail.verizon.com
IF you can send email from the website directly, then outlook express has some kind of footer, or header, or signature or background or something that is flagging your mail as spam.
If you can't send from the website, then definetely call into Verizon and/or do the live chat.  There is a link at the bottom of the Verizon page that says contact us.

  • Why did my outgoing email start acting up since I did latest update?

ever since I did the OSX update 10.8.5 my outgoing email has become very eratic. Incoming email is no problem. I keep getting this message
"connections to the host on the default ports failed. Please try another server"
this happens about 2 out of every 3 atempts to send email. It was never a problem prior to the OS unpdate. 1 out of every 3 sent emails go through without any issues

  • Outgoing emails

After removing an overseas sim card I am now unable to send emails from iPad, I can receive them and access all Internet services via wifi. I can send emails via my desktop computer just not iPad. I have checked all settings and tried resyncing but still cannot send emails?

Hi: I am hoping someone can help me with this.  I am a complete beginner.  (I still use a flip-phone from seven years ago.)  I want to get a BlackBerry z10, but this is what is stopping me:  I use a laptop for work and I want to have all of my outgoing emails in my Outlook on my laptop.  I think if I get a BB (or any smartphone) and use it to send an email, then I will later need to check both Outlook on my laptop as well as on my BB to see what emails I have sent.  I would rather just check only Outlook on my laptop as I do now (since that is the only place I send emails from).  Can anyone answer this/help me?  Thanks, Ben.
If your e-mail server is using either IMAP or Active Sync, then it should not be a problem as all the messages are available for all device that have access to your account until they are deleted

  • Copy all incoming and outgoing mail to an additional mailbox

Is there a means to copy all incoming and outgoing email through the Apple Mail server to one inbox? As an example, Bob sends and email to Jeff and receives a reply. I want a copy of each of those emails to, say, [email protected] Is there a means within the server config or some other method to accomplish this?

Help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

  • Outgoing email blocking other emails, won't delete

I have an email in my outbox, that won't send, open or delete and it is blocking all the other outgoing emails I have! Once I click on it to do anything the activity viewer just spins and spins, doesn't time out, and I have to force quit Mail. There is no attachment, the email is blank (or won't load when I click on it), and the size says 1.1MB. What can I do?
    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)
    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Try deleting it from the hard drive directly -- it should be in:
    ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/Outbox.mbox/Messages
If not, you may have to get more creative. Backup your Mailbox folder and possibly Mail preferences before doing anything creative, though.

  • My outgoing emails don't send, they are suddenly stuck in the outbox

I have gmail act which was working fine within Mac Mail. In the last few days all of my outgoing emails are stuck in the "Outbox" instead of sending...what changed?

    Hi, nommo48.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand you are experiencing an issue with the outgoing server of your Gmail account on your Mac.  I would check your gmail account to see if two-step verification is enabled as this can cause issues with sending and receiving mail.  If the issue persists, take a look at the troubleshooting article below.

  • Outgoing emails are not being sent from my email address all of a sudden. It started happening when I changed my gmail password

After I changed my gmail password my outgoing emails are no longer being sent from my gmail account, but are being sent from my spouse's account so that replies go into her inbox, not mine.

    rigoran1231,
You may have a corrupt preference, in order to correct this open Mail - Preferences - Accounts and re-input all the preferences for the account. While they may look ok one or more may be corrupt.

  • Outgoing email address for verizon....

Recently had to have my computer wiped and am having issues re-setting up my email and i'm lazy and don't feel like calling.
i know the incoming is incoming.verizon.net
    what's the outgoing?
i can receive e-mails, but not send.

    outgoing.verizon.net
This server requires authentication, and should use the same authentication as your incoming server.

  • Outgoing mail server rejected password - using microsoft exchange email

    hi everybody,
so i have a microsoft exchange outlook email account from my school. i recently have started having troubles with apple mail sending messages. it rejects the password of my email account. i have gone to outlook.com several times and changed the passwords but to no avail. i know it used to work. i went on a trip to guatemala and came back and now it seems to hate me. i cant remember if the problem arose after my switch to snow leopard either..
i went to the help section on the outlook page after i log in but after i change to those settings its still rejects my outgoing mail password.
is there a bug with snow leopard? oh good as i am writing this mail just 'quit unexpectedly'..aww the joys of just having microsoft email- imagine a whole operating system based on such inadequacies (i must vent.. this is extremely annoying that i have to reply back to people with my gmail account)..
    thanks in advance!

It is likely the Port setting for the SMTP has either gotten changed while you were away, or your provider has changed what settings are needed. Check the settings carefully. If you know exactly what Port should be used, change to Use Custom Port, enter the Port manually, and proceed to test again.

  • All Outgoing Emails Marked as SPAM

As of today, the primary PC we have used for years for our main .net account has all outgoing email marked as spam and blocked. Even single addressee, no content emails are bounced back as SPAM. I can still receive on the primary PC, and still send from other devices with the same account. I have deleted and re-added the account on the PC to make sure the server and port settings are current to no avail. Any thoughts on what might have happened?

As stated in the Spam FAQ page, you will not get any response when sending the message to [email protected] for review. You attach the message that you are unable to send, and they review it. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the filter will either be updated to allow the content that was previously blocked, or it will be determined to be a legitimate block and no changes will be made.
Some troubleshooting steps you can try:
If you have a signature, try removing one line at a time from it and attempting to send the message again. Some signatures look like "ads" to the filters, apparently.
If you are using a pop3 client (Outlook, Outlook Express, etc.) try sending your message from the verizon.net website. If this resolves the issue, then it is something that your client is adding to the message that is causing it to be blocked.
If the Subject line of your message has a whole bunch of "Fwd: Fwd: Re: Fwd:" try removing some of them.
Remove any links/URLs from the email one at a time to isolate if one of them is causing the block.
Some people have suggested sending the message to [email protected] for investigation. This may work for you as well.

  • Adding Corporate E-Mail Disclaimer to all outgoing email

I need to configure our mail server to add an E-Mail disclaimer to all outgoing email. Can someone point me to the relevant documenation or assist me with this request.
We are running Sun Messaging Server 6.1 HotFix 0.11.
I should state that I am a novice with Messaging server.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    You can start here:
    http://blogs.sun.com/factotum/entry/messaging_server_and_email_disclaimers
Also note the version of messaging server you are running is extremely old, you should be looking/planning to upgrade in the near future. Version 6.3 adds milter capabilities, which if you were running this version the following document would be relevant to your request:
    http://msg.wikidoc.info/index.php/Add_Footer_to_All_Outgoing_Mail
I should also add that Messing Server is not for the faint-of-heart (it's complex) so I recommend you try and get some training on the basics at least.

    Shane.

  • Verizon marking my outgoing email as spam; thanks, thanks a lot

Is anyone else as sick as I am of Verizon's "know more than you" "big brotherish" attitude to us customers.
I'm trying to send email (not mass, just one email) to a client, and Verizon marks it as spam.
This is a critical email the customer is expecting.  Couple of links in the emai.
Fios is nice, but not THAT nice if I can't even send a freakin' email... I might as well go back to Earthlink or Cox!  In fairness, about 95% of my outgoing email goes through just fine, but 2-3 times per week, when I send an email to someone, I get the dreaded {word filter avoidance}response from Verizon which says...
and yes, i send the "offending" email off to the {word filter avoidance} genius people at [email protected], but can you contact these ivory tower {word filter avoidance}?  No.
No, the only thing we can do is hope and pray these jerko**s unblock us and let our email get through.
    Verizon, if you're listening...{word filter avoidance}

    Nothing is free.
This is not a personal attack, but your answer “free email solutions” doesn’t fly.
I pay for email service from Verizon. The cost of Verizon e-mail is built in to the dsl service.
Yes, e-mail from Verizon is advertised as a “free” service. However…
You can only get that “free email” if you purchase service.
    And that’s not free.
    http://www22.verizon.com/home/fiosinternet/
    First, the good news:
I rarely get spam from the Verizon server (I have 6 accounts/sub-accounts thru Verizon, using outlook express, 1 or 2 spam a month).
    The bad news:
I have enhanced dsl and have been experiencing random spam blocks.
Yes, I took the time to read the spam faqs and dozens of the postings in this forum.
Yes, I have the latest setting for outlook express http://www22.verizon.com/Support/Residential/Internet/fiosinternet/email/setup+and+use/questionsone/...
    Yes, I know the e-mail limits, 100 names per e-mail, 500 e-mails per hour
    https://my.verizon.com/central/vzc.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=vzc_help_policies&id=EmailPolicy
Yes, I have repeatedly sent the same email to [email protected]
I understand the difficulty of filtering spam, but it seems there should be means test that says if I send 1 email to 1 person, that’s probably not spam. After all, if the spam filter is really just a program, then it is using a numerical assessment, and the parameter has been set to ignore this..
Thank you for your time to help, but telling paying customers we don’t really have that good  of service  as we advertise, isn’t a solution, it’s an excuse.
    Respectfully,
    Norm
As a fellow paying customer (note that this is a peer-to-peer forum), I'm not making excuses. I'm stating facts. There are free email offerings that are better than ISP provided email. Period.
If you want to use Verizon's email, that's your choice. If you want to switch to another ISP and use their sub-par email product, that is also your choice.
It just doesn't make sense to me to trade excellent internet for not-as-fantastic internet just to use a "better" email product when there are actual better email products available for free that are not ISP-dependent.
