  • Verizon-yahoo Email Server Error

Been having this problem all week...
I can log into Verizon.net from all my devices and can access my bills, services, etc, but when I click on the email link it says "The sever is currently unavailable. Please try again later". Both my blackberry and iPhone started getting errors accessing my Verizon email at the exact same time. Verizon customer service has been no help after 3 calls. Anyone have suggestions for a fix?

I used Verizon Live Chat and they fixed it remotely. Looks like someone hacked my account and spammed all my contacts. At least my email is back now.

  • Verizon email server on RBL

I'm an independent IT consultant and have a customer who is having many emails send to all different parties rejected by anyone running Barracuda.  It appears it is due to Verizon's email server being listed on an RBL.  Can we please get this resolved ASAP?  Thanks.

Actually, you'll need to contact Barracuda. Verizon will just send you back to them, since Verizon doesn't control their lists.

  • Email server verizon lte

    Hi!
I recently switched Internet Service Providers from Hughes.net (satellite) to a Verizon mi-fi device.  I'd like to establish an email account that will afford me the ability to continue using the mail program on my iMac, versus using Safari to access hotmail, etc.  I don't believe there is a way to do this with Verizon since I simply have a mi-fi device.  Are there mail servers that you can subscribe to and create an email address that would feed directly into the mail program on my iMac?
    Thanks!
    Bryan

Dave - thanks for responding to my question.  Can I do that with any email server (@yahoo.com, hotmail.com, etc.)?  Do I just add the email account under mail>preferences>accounts then setup accordingly?  Thanks have a good evening Dave.

  • Firefox periodically shows "server not found" message for Verizon/Yahoo email. Often self corrects in 5 to 10 minutes ?

System is Windows VISTA. While on Verizon/Yahoo mail Firefox will lose the connection and shoe a "server not found" message. Explorer will connect with no problem to the email server. The problem self corrects with in 5 or 10 minutes but this may happen 5 or 6 time in a day.
Is this a Firefox problem with proxy access. Settings appear to be the same.

i forgot to mention , that when i striped this machine back down to 10.3.7 and before i re built i did do a hardware check with the original install Disks [3] and every thing came back clean.
the weird ness with the colors on window, if i pass a app like text edit over the area , the color will not cover the app but stay in the background.
when i first saw this color thing i had the preference pane out and was moving it around on screen and the colors were bleeding off of the preference pane onto the screen.
if you have any idea as to what is going on here let me know.
    thank you

  • Email deletion by the Verizon email server

I have noticed a disturbing trend in my email Inbox.    Since about the first of the year, I have noticed that most of my older email messages have been deleted by the Verizon email server, which is allowable under the terms of agreement as per below:
    Email Retention
All read Verizon Online email messages remain on the Verizon server until you decide to delete them.  All unread Verizon Online email messages are deleted from the Verizon server after 90 days
The problem?   The messages being deleted had been read previously.   And, this morning, two more messages were deleted automatically.   And, yes, they had been read - in March of 2008.
It is not like I am using any storage space.   I am at less than 1% of my allowed storage allocation.
This appears to be a violation of Verizon's terms of agreement.   What gives?

Any time mail disappears from the server, there's a pretty good chance there's some device pulling it off. This can happen even without you intending it to. For example, the default Verizon setup for a long time (and possibly still) configured Outlook automatically unless you were paying attention and unchecked the box during the install.
The easiest way to fix it is to change your password. Once the device(s) can no longer authenticate, the disappearances should stop.

  • Is the Verizon/Yahoo email server down?

I've been having problems for the last couple of weeks trying to change my verizon/yahoo email without any success after my account was hacked. Now I can't log into the verizon/yahoo mail system.
I can log into verizon.com without any issues even after chaning my verizon password several time. Now as soon as I go into the verizon web mail system from verizon.com I get this error:
"The server is currently unavailable. Please try again later."
I've been getting this error for the last couple of days. It appears that the connection between verizon and yahoo is broken. Does anyone on from Verizon know what's going on? I contacted verizon via a chat today and someone from India was not aware of the problem and couldn't help me.
Is it possible to setup my [email protected] email acount without going through yahoo. I use outlook at home and on my smart phone I use a verizon/yahoo email app. Please help me....

  • Email server password reset

I have Verizon Email on my phone, ipad, web-based (yahoo/verizon.net) and outlook iook.com.  At one time all were working but I think I reset a password and then only a few worked.  I have tried new password on all, changed back to the old password on others and didn't touch settings on ipad but can't seem to get them all working again.  I would like to start fresh with a password reset so I can set up accounts on all devices again and try to remedy this frustrating issue.  I have most recently reset the password again to try setting up my Email on my phone only to receive  a password authentication error. I have set up before with success so I know I am setting up correctly and just a very frustrating password issue.  I am also OK with deleting my primary Email account and setting it up again within the account if I have to.  I just want this fixed so that I have my personal Email on all of my devices working properly and without frustration!

try doing one computer at a time.  don't rush it.   have you checked all the settings are correct in outlook.
I know Verizon recently changed settings for their mail servers.

  • Email server failure

When I use the credentials for verizon.net, the Verizon email server fails to authenticate.  This is true whether accessing the mail server through Outlook or the Service support page.  Does anyone have a clue about what would cause credentials that work to sign onto verizon.net and access email would fail when presented through Outlook or the service support email test page.
In outlook, I have tried to present the userID as both [email protected] and username .  The service support page only supports [email protected]

--The account name should only be username, no need to type [email protected]
    --Outgoing server requires authentication.

  • Problem updating Email Server settings

I was able to update Email Server settings in one of my computer. When I tried my mobile devices (ipod and ipads) I was able to set the new outgoing setting, port, and SSL. Setting the incoming part I was able to change Port # and SSL but I couldn't set "pop.verizon.net " . I got an error message:"The POP server pop.verizon.net doesn't support Authenticated POP (APOP) authentication. Please check your account settings and try again. And of course, I couldn't get any e-mail. Thank you in advance!!

Thanks to dhutton I found out that APOP is not supported, do you have an option for clear text? If not please let us know what email client you are using. Welcome to the forum

  • Verizon blocking emails with the word Singapore

Really annoying - within the past week, any email I try to send with the word Singapore in the subject, sometimes in the message, is being blocked by the Verizon outgoing mail server as spam. You'd think they would check the number of "to" addresses when trying to control spam. If I am emailing only one or two people, how can it be spam? I keep forwarding the emails to their spam reporting address, but so far no action.
Verizon is also blocking emails coming to me with a .asia  address - they don't even make it into my spam folder on Outlook.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, the spam filter was updated recently.
I would suggest taking a stroll over to http://www.verizon.net/spamfaq and read that.
Also, if you are still having problems with sending an email which you think doesn't deserve to be blocked, which in your case shouldn't, shoot an email to: [email protected] .  This goes to a third-party group who verifies if said email is spam  and can help remove it once they investigate.  They will notify Verizon and that everything checks out and it, in turn, prompts Verizon to flip a switch so your email can get through without a problem.
As far as emails being sent to you being blocked, you could always goto www.verizon.net/whitelist -- there you can request to allow emails to be sent through.
Hopefully those avenues will work out for ya.

  • Verzon Blocking Outgoing Email Server

Have read on other posts regarding something like this. Its not the port as I have chanced between 25 and 587. There is no set up issue and no I do not need to reinstall Windows.
I have three ISPs due to frequent travel. In the US I am able to send and reveive email from my Verizon account using Outlook without problems. Can even do this using a Verizon compeitor's servie to access the Internet.
When abroad, incoming email using Verizon is OK. Outgoing is blocked. This is consistent.
Can Verizon comment on this? Either admit it and I will find an alternative or provide a solution. A "whitelist" inquiry was made but unanswered. I read on another post where Verizon danced around a FIOS cussomers exact same complain.
You have 2 business days or I'm filing an FCC complaint and encouraging everyone with the same problem to do so. It's not so much the blocking but hte failure to provide a workaround for legitimate use, failure to answer, and inclination to be indifferent while taking money form customers.

If I understand your complaint correctly, you are unable to use Verizon's outgoing server (outgoing.verizon.net) on networks outside of the US.
    What error are you getting?

  • AT&T Email Server Set Up on Samsung Charge Android Problem

Has anyone had this same problem?
Problem: I get "Setup could not finish - Cannot connect to server" error when trying to update AT&T email (sbcglobal.net) server settings.  AT&T changed email server setup on December 11th.  I can get the correct setup and connection via Windows Mail on my Vista desktop pc.  AT&T email server settings can be found here => http://www.att.com/updatesettings.  Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem and spent time on the AT&T help line but they could not help with the Verizon Samsung Droid issue.  I got my Outlook to work on the desktop and the setup is basically the same.  I think the problem is in the Desktop setup in E-Mail Settings on the Advanced Tab there is a check box with a label that says "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) that AT&T requires to be checked.  The email setup form on the Samsung Droid does not have that check box or option, so the server will not let the phone connect.
Did you get your issue resolved?

  • Strange delays in receiving Verizon-Yahoo emails

This is very weird. I receive emails to my Windows Mail account fine and to my Verizon Wireless email program fine.
However, when I send emails through Windows Mail or from my Verizon wireless using my Verizon email accounts (partnered with Yahoo) there are usually long delays off and and on, up to 6 hours. Tech Support has escalated the trouble ticket to Yahoo external services, but this has been going on for almost a week. They wanted to say it was in my Windows Mail program, but that would not explain the same problem in my WIreless account.
The only way I have no problems sending emails is by sending them through the Verizon Yahoo web page.
Does anyone have an understanding of this weird technical problem, since Verizon shows no server problems anywhere affecting my service area?
    Thanks!

I did three screen shares with Verizon Tech Support and they insisted I contact Microsoft. On Thursday they told me they heard from Yahoo External Team that there was a problem but it had been fixed((!!). I thought on Friday morning it had been fixed,

I have two email accounts under my main umbrella Vz account. We use Outlook 2007 on one computer to download and send email for one of the accounts and Outlook 2003 on another computer to do the same for the other account.  Both have been experiencing outgoing email delays, typically from 2 hours to (now) four days.  I called tech support on 11/3 and again on 11/4.  I was told, after much discussion both times, that it was the Outlook software.  I strongly contended it "couldn't be."  They gave me some things to do, like remove mail from the server Inbox (easily done), call Microsoft (Hah!), and re-install Outlook (huge pain).  Finally, after doing all the things I could think of, including downloading Eudora as an email client (only to get the same delay problem), I called back today.  They finally acknowledged that they have a problem: "Our engineers are working on it and it should be fixed in 24 hours."  I have been surviving by using the webmail version of Verizon/Yahoo mail and my BlackBerry, both of which avoid the delay.  But it is mighty inconvenient. I will be asking for a refund for 25% of my monthly bill.
but it wasn't by Friday afternoon.
I told them my Verizon Wireless was also affected so they escalated the case yesterday. As of now I only receive emails after several hours and the ones I send take several hours. I am still receiving emails that were send on Friday!
Wonderful........so it's over to Gmail. Even when I synchronize gmail  accounts to the verizon accounts there is a delay. So for now it's over with Verizon.net emails and of course like you I shall insist on compensation.
