Verizon Unleashed: $50 unlimited talk/text/mobile web for feature phone coming soon?

Verizon Unleashed is a rumored new Verizon prepaid wireless plan featuring unlimited talk/text/mobile web for only $50 a month.
We do not know when it is coming but what is believed to be known is that :
It will be for "feature phones" or non smartphones only.
It will probably take advantage of Opera Mini as a way to enhance the web experience.
All non smartphone Verizon prepaid phones may be eligbile for the plan.

It is unknown if and when it will be released.

As I understand it this plan is currently only in parts of Florida and Southern California for now. I'm hoping it rapidly spreads to the rest of us.

Go to Launching Mobile Web from the home screen nad press up on the Directional Key to laucnh your phones brower. The My Verizon screen will appear,9 I know on the Daily plan there is a 99 cdent WEB charge per day0 so it might be free with the monthly plan. Press to select WEB 99 cents. The VZW Today screen will appear and then your phone will be online. This method does not include Data (that part I'm not really sure about, maybe someone on this site with a 50.00 plan can help with that part. Are you using a Basic Phone? This is what it says on the information page.

New Talk, Text and Web prepaid plan question

Evening! I have a reeeally old Verizon prepaid (FreeUp) account, and an old Verizon Motorola E18 phone.
I also have a current balance of $271.00 If I upgrade to a new phone and the new $50. Talk, Text, and Web monthly prepaid, will I lose my current balance, or will it transfer to my new plan?

As longas you keep your same phone number the balance will be transferred over. Thats the way it is with the Daily Prepaid and also is you transfer over to a contract they will carry the money over on the contract as a credit. No refunds. You can call customer service to veriify this at 1-888-294-6804

I know the answer to this question Jimbo2552! The $60 plan outlined in your post is a loyalty plan and it is not eligible for employee discount, as it is already a discounted plan.

I'm very curious about cost of service. How can VZW charge such high cost for their service and Walmart sponsered carriers charge $49.99 for unlimited talk,text, and data per month?

We live in an area that does not have fiber optics for VIOS, or cable. Our service is received by either MIFI or Satellite service. I'm paying right now over $200 for my Jet Pack and Droid. I'm on a fixed income and I have End Stage COPD, so that means my quality of life has been lessened due to cost of service. Please explain to me the difference between the two services. Kevin.

I bought a moto g may 1st, the plan was the 45 dollar , unlimited talk/text and 500 mb of data... two weeks ago, i was almost out of data so i added a $50 card that gave me 3gigs of additional data, but did NOT renew my talk/text... it's been charging me

You seam to be focusing your anger at Verizon and not your sister. Verizon followed the rules and required IDs and passwords to access the wireless account. You and/or your mother are supposed to safeguard that information. Your sister has committed the felony by stealing your mothers identity for personal gain.

I'm sure if you went to Verizon and wanted to make some changes to your account, and you had the correct IDs and passwords, you would be upset and angry if they put you through the 3rd degree because they thought you were committing fraud.

Look folks I don't want to down load a mobile browser for any phone so would please stop trying to foce it down my throat.

all I have is a track-phone I don't have any fancy I-pad or Android phone don't want one I don't text anyone I don't use the internet all I use it for is to call home before I leave from work for a grocery list.
and every time you try to download that browser onto my PC I have one hell of a time to get Firefox to load onto my PC.

If you are reading this than go ahead and answer it please! My plan involves mobile web and media messaging... I cannot recieve or send media messages such as pictures, sounds or anything. Nor can i go on the web!!! I pay $50 for UNLIMITED talk, text, and web and multimedia messaging but i cannot do all these things!!!~~~ Lg extravagent

How to get Alltel Mobile Web plus unlimited data minutes.

Hello, I had alltel before being sucked into verizon. My current plan is pay per day and i pay .75CENTS / day. I can get alltel mobile web for 30 days at $5.99 but it still charges me for the data minutes that I use and I don't know at what rate. I only see $5.99 and $1.99 when I go on the web to purchase the pack. I want to have unlimited data minutes @ $9.99 - how do I get that feature? Help

You are able to set up multiple email accounts on a cellphone.
My company's e-mail does not support Android, which is the OS on my current phone.Your company's email doesn't have to support Android. Android is not an email protocol. Android uses pop and imap which are not specific to android, but are cross platform.
It seems that the cheapest way would be to see if you can access it on your personal phone via an email client without making any changes to your plan.

My wife and I both have LG Octanes and we have been unable to use the mobile web for 4 1/2 hours. We both have 4 antenna bars (3G & 1X). Is the Verizion mobile web down today?

I contacted tech support and the outage lasted about 10 hours. When tech support contacted me later, they said that there had been an outage in our area.
Our service has been normal following the outage.

How can the FFC possibly force Verizon to provide the service I've paid for?

So it seems that Verizon is quite fond of giving their customers alot of ******** and runaround in order to avoid providing the service they claim to be selling. After spending a TORTUROUS full hour of my time speaking with a customer service rep AND paying an ADDITIONAL $30 to continue having phone service I STILL don't have what I paid for, and customer service will not accept a third call from me today. SO, I have gone ahead and filed a complaint with the FCC. I didn't feel the need to make this a community discussion, but evidently this is the only way to inform this god awful swindling sleaze-ball company of my discontent.
Here are the details of the complaint I have presently filed: "I purchased an upgraded smart phone and added a $70 card for unlimited talk, text and 4 gigs of data usage. I was NOT moved on to the $70 plan printed on the card I purchased and was additionally billed for every call, text and data transfer until my previous $20 overage balance was reduced to nothing. When I spoke with their customer service, I was told that they would fix the error if I paid an additional $20. I purchased ANOTHER $30 card(the location I was at only had $15 and $30 increments) and added it to the phone. I called BACK customer service to make sure I would no longer be charged for the unlimited service I paid for. As it sits at this moment, my account says I have unlimited talk and text, BUT my data is next to empty AND the overage balance is UNDER $1. In summary: that's $70 for the plan I wasn't given, $20 for the charges I wasn't supposed to incur, and $30 for the extra money they insisted I pay to continue service."
Does anybody SEE this?!?! I PAID $70 for unlimited talk, text and 4 gigs of data, period. That should be the end of it, I should HAVE that right now and not be fighting to GET it... What I have RECEIVED is billing through $20 that should not have been touched. I then had to ADD $30 MORE and I STILL don't have data reflected on myverizon AND the dollar balance on my account is under $1. So instead of paying $70 for unlimited talk, text and 4 gigs, I have paid $120 for unlimited talk, text and ZERO data AND an almost empty overage balance.

Again: I don't start out this way. I don't TALK this way, but when I've been patient and polite on the phone for a FULL hour, and they STILL don't fix my problem, and I call back and get a robot voice telling me to go online... I'm going to vent. You see?
When I say it costs next to nothing, what I mean is that price fixing is occurring at the highest levels by financiers who have a monopoly on literally everything for sale. There's no REAL WORLD value behind the costs. That wasn't the focus of this complaint because I've fully accepted that the vast majority of society is far too fluoridated and indoctrinated to have critical thought processes. I'm sorry for mentioning it because the problem is bigger than the imaginations of anyone who will read this.
What I want to focus on is the end of the line robbery occurring in my immediate, direct experience in this moment where my account should rightfully have 4 gigs of information and $50 credit waiting for me because I paid for it. I live in the sticks. I LIKE it out here away from the metropolitan taxpayer zoo. I HAD a (removed) phone from (removed) when I moved out here and frequently wouldn't GET incoming calls. When they actually DELIVER the service I normally pay for, I'm not dissatisfied. I achieve communication. It's pretty cool... but since I've gone ahead and upgraded to a smart phone they've withheld the service I've paid for and charged me $50 for NOTHING at all. That's THEFT. Flat out.

You mean by being polite on the phone while they explained to me that I would have to pay an additional $20 AFTER the $20 they falsely charged me in order to have the plan I already paid for? You mean when I went ahead and withheld every thought in my head to call them out on how messed up that is, and actually went into that store, and bought that card, and added it to my phone, and waited politely AGAIN? You mean when I discovered that not only was the issue STILL not resolved, but the balance on my account shows less than a dollar, and I tried to call back yet again only to be told to go online where NOTHING on this site puts you in contact with anyone who will actually DO anything to resolve ANY sort of issue?
I believe I have every right to be as rude as I like at this point. This is NOT how a legitimate business operates. I shouldn't even be replying to you. I shouldn't be ****** off and missing money/data as I'm here holding the receipts. I shouldn't be forced to make this whole day about hunting down a legitimate person within the company in order to collect what I paid for. There's a product on the shelf with an advertised service. I paid the money... I should have the service... and I shouldn't be charged extra money in order to fund their inability to deliver it.

HTC HUB coming soon to Verizon HTC devices!

I recently called Verizon and asked why HTC HUB was not installed on my Verizon HTC device, he said that because it was buggy on Verizon Devices they pulled it, but he also said it was coming soon to our devices, but he couldnt find an official release date, He also said it might be coming in the ICS update for Verizon devices.

if I understand it correctly, the Harmon/Kardon version has the exact same hardware, but the software has a tweaked EQ. In my opinion, it isn't worth considering a separate SKU. If you want an M8, get an M8 now and don't wait for one with gimmicky software tweaks.

I was just hammered by Verizon because I added 2 lines. I brought two family members over from other carriers to our "share everything plan". The iphones we ordered came with pre-assigned numbers. The family members wanted to keep their existing numbers and Verizon said to "just have them ported over".
We didn't want, or had any use for the numbers that Verizon assigned the two new phones. When I got the phones I called the Port center at Verizon and they walked me through getting the numbers over from the other network. They had me activate the phones and then ported the numbers over (spend about a day on the process).
So I just got my bill and was outraged. Verizon charged me $78 for the lines of the phones they sent. I was charged $78 just to activate the line so that a number could be ported over. So now I have an extra $156 on my bill not to mention the $$$ they added on to have the numbers ported over. So adding two people to my family share plan cost me $327.
