Verizon Webmail does not login
It keeps redirecting to an error page like:
Our records indicate that the User ID you entered is not available. Please check the User ID and try again.
If you continue to experience problems, please contact us.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

That would be Verizon 2.0 (if you look at the URL, you should see that it's verizon.com, not verizon.net) which seems a bit... broken, at the moment.
The advice that I've been given that seems to work is to ignore error, and click on the "My Verizon Services" button at the top, then there should be an inbox button.
Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Verizon iPhone4 does NOT work in Hongkong Airport

Asian travelers be aware.... the Verizon iPhone4 does NOT work at Hongkong International Airport.... I couldn't make any phone call out and can't receive any incoming calls either.... although the phone has the WEAK signal of roaming (1 to 2 lines)...but any phone calls I tried to make or text messaging all did NOT go through.... it was such a huge disappointment. I just don't know why my old verizon blackberry phone worked great in Hongkong/China/Taiwan and the iPhone just did not work....
Also be aware, even if you have the WiFi connection, the Verizon iPhone will NOT allow you to browse the internet using Safari, becuase it will ask you to turn on the data-roaming service.... what kind of plan is this ???? I waited for the iPhone to be available for so long but it turned out to be useless when I needed it the most... thinking about returnnig it due to the service failure

The blackberry was most likely a dual mode (CDMA EVDO Rev-A and Quad Band GSM) with a sim card for global roaming such as the storms, tour and bold as mentioned above. Data on the iPhone should've worked on wifi unless Verizon and Apple crippled the phone. The map for hong kong lists cdma roaming but says Advanced EVDO device required so not sure if the iphone 4 falls under that or not. http://b2b.vzw.com/international/Roaming/Asia-Pacific/Hong%20Kong.html

Webmail worked, Enabled virtual host, now Webmail does not work! HELP!

Hey all, hope this is an easy one. I had mail, and webmail up and running for my main domain. www.example.com. and mail.example.com. I enabled virtual hosting under mail and added the local host alias for my second domain. www.example2.com. Users can now receive email sent to [email protected] Sounds good right. Well now my webmail server does not work, and whats worse is it brings up a list of the directory!!! Any ideas on how to get that back up?

After installing Firefox 6.0.2, my sign out in my webmail does not work. What is wrong?

Our local phone company, Comporium updated their webmail which worked fine in the older version of Mozilla Firefox browser. Now the sign out function does not work.
I do not know what to do to fix it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and I still have the problem.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Also, a while back, I tested a demo version of LR3.5, everything in it ran
obnoxiously slow.
For instance, when moving a slider, nothing happened on the screen. Not
until I "let go" of the slider could I see the complete change.
Obviously, this is unacceptable. Was wondering, could this be by design
since it was a demo version?
If I had purchased it, would the problem go away or likely remain?

Looks to me like LR4beta did recognize your operating system correctly.
LR4beta will not run on any version of Windows XP.

Terminal does not login; blank window

Hello!
I use the Terminal occasionally and today I had to run a sudo command. It asked for my password, but I decided to cancel the command because I was in a hurry. I quit the terminal and now, every time I open it, nothing happens.
There is a white window where every command just does not work! Nothing happens!!
You can type in what you want, but nothing else.
Any suggestions?

If iTerm fails the same way, then the problem has nothing to do with Terminal. If iTerm works, then it is something specific to Terminal.
Using iTerm is a way to narrow down where the problem might be.
You said you were following a tutorial, so it is also possible that some steps in the tutorial before the sudo command actually messed things up, but it would not be evident until you restarted Terminal.

If A VERIZON AGENT does not respond and fix this then I am switching back to COMCAST

I pay OVER TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS A MONTH for all these channels and every weekend when I have my only two days off to relax and watch these channels (that I pay an arm and a leg for!) ARE NOT WORKING.
I have been taking pictures for MONTHS of the error messages I get on various channels (both basic cable channels and paid movie channels!). I have a .zip file all ready to email to show my proof of the non-working channels that I am paying for.
Today, I've just had enough. I want reimbursement and I want this problem fixed. Technicians have come to my house and the problem still persists. Is it too much to ask for something that I pay my hard-earned money for to work properly???
I will be switching back to Comcast if this problem is not resolved.

Backup assistant My Verizon freezes does not load

When I click on the MY VERIZON - BACKUP link, the page changes to the Backup Assistant Plus, a menu appears but quickly disappears, leaving only the 2 tabs at the top (CONTACTS & TRASH). Then the REFRESH /RELOAD icon (2 circling arrows) comes up & never disappears. I tweeked my browser to accept pop-ups from VERIZONWIRELESS.COM. Is there something else that I should do?
My phone says that I had a successful backup today and that the b/u asst. is updated.
What else should do?

To clear cache and cookies do the following:

Verizon Cloud does not back up music

I installed Verizon Cloud on my phone. Contacts, photos and videos are backed up fine, but music is not. In the "Settings" -" What to backup" screen, there is no option for backing up music or anything other than contacts, photos and videos.

Did you read Verizon's reply above? Evidently not.
Music cannot be backed up with an iPhone to Verizon's cloud.
However Apple has a service called
Apple - iTunes - iTunes Match
I use it all the time. Its worth the $25 a year.

Domino webmail does not load messages

Just upgraded Firefox from 3.6 to 4.0. Now I cannot access my Lotus Domino Web Mail. A message about a Java Console error appears though, and the java log is as follows:

I tried resetting my pram but now my MacBook won't startup it just stays in the grey apple symbol for 20 mins and then goes to the login page but does not login!

Help, my backscreen keeps flickering and I got told that resetting the pram (alt ctrl p and r) might fix it. But now it won't start up at all. It was working fine befor but now just goes on grey apple screen for 20 mins then the log on page comes up but it won't log in! I don't have the original install disk. I'm not sure what to do and I can't afford to take it to the apple store. What can I do?

It looks like your datadir is either missing the mysql/ DB (I haven't checked MariaDB 10, but historically this is in MyISAM format - can't be InnoDB), or has file access permission issues. Compare your datadir ownership and setup to what's in the package post-install code for this:

I.e. if you brought your datadir from something other install, a quick 'chown -R mysql:mysql' on it might fix you right up... then check for datadir/mysql/user.* (frm, myd, myi) and see if they're there as expected. If you see a mysql/user.ibd (sic) that's InnoDB format.

Deleting mail on pop server does not delete mail on phone

I have two Andoid phones:
1. My Personal Samsung Galaxy Note/AT&T
2. My Employers Motorola Droid RAZR/Verizon
They are both running Android 4.0.4. I have set up pop mail on both. My personal ISP is X/O and a pop3 account. I typically have it deliver mail to Outlook at my home and turn off Outlook to read mail when away. The first phone correctly reconciles the delete of the mails delivered to Outlook and no longer on the server. The Verizon Droid does not delete the mail from the phone when it is gone from the server. I deleted and readded the pop account and experience the same behavior. How do I get the phone to delete the mail that has been removed from the server?
Since it is a company phone but a personal e-mail account I am not sure where to get support.

I found that there was a slight time lapse from when I managed a message on my iPhone (with .Mac) to when it showed the same status on my Mail.app (.Mac). For example, I deleted a message directly from my Inbox (iPhone) and it moved to trash. But it took about 2 minutes for that same message to show up in my trash on my machine. It just sat as a new, unread message on my laptop and then suddenly during the next send/receive interval it was put into the trash (still marked as unread, though).
Have you allowed any sort of time lapse? Or are you viewing the webmail view of your .Mac account simultaneously as your actions on the iPhone?
