Verizonwireless website flash

Does anyone else have the problem for the last month that if you go to www.verizonwireless.com that you mouse will freeze for about 10 seconds while its loading the flash content on that main page? It almost makes Internet Explorer seem to hang.

I wanted to touch bases with you on this issue. We know how important it is to manage your account online. After all, it's a great way to get the most out of your service. I am unable to view the screenshot that you sent. If I can ask you to repost it then I can see the error message verbatim. In the meantime, may I ask are you able to log into the website now? If not then what web browser are you using? Can I assume that you are going to www.verizonwireless.com? I know that it's common for people to use search engines to access websites, like Google, instead of typing into the URL. As you share the details then we can get this resolved once and for all.

Edit website flash template - help needed

Hi! I am about to buy a website flash template. Before I buy the template I want to make sure, that I am good enough to edit to my needs.
I downloaded a free flash template and I tried to edit it in my Flash CS5.
I have had a lot of trouble editing it and I can't even figure out how I change the pictures or the text.
Can anyone help me and maybe give me a little tutorial on how to change the template.

The photos are taken from a XML file. Open the XML file flashmo_247_photo_list' in dreamweaver and look at the code it'll be easy to fiqure out if you have ever done any sort of HTML coding.
Just incase you have'nt look for Example below taken from the xml file which was provided with the .fla file

VOTE FOR AAA APPS/GAMES/WEBSITES FLASH CAPABILITY!

There is only one way to run Flash stage3D perfectly smoothly, in today's crowded browsers. This is the suggestion I made:
<<Give the user the option to make the current Flash window that is in focus, run in 'exclusive mode' with the click of a button, (by pausing all other Flash instances in all other browser tabs). So when there is a demanding stage3D app/website/game the user would switch to 'exclusive mode' and make it run without stuttering, enjoying the full PC power. This will boost Flash on the web for demanding AAA games/applications/websites running on the browser and will improve the overall user experience. Then Flash could be used literally for anything, even to provide content for today's UltraHD TVs with the recent extended profile! Now If the user switches to another window or loads another website, Flash would exit exclusive mode automatically and everything will run as usual, until the user decides to switch to exclusive mode again. I 100% agree! We have an application that the Government requires information to be stored on the users computer as part of Multi-Factor-Authentication. We originally wrote it as a browser application and when everyone and their brother started deleting browser cookies because of security concerns, we totally re-wrote it as a Flash application to take advantage of permanent storage. This new "feature" in Flash Player is causing much concern because thousands of users will need to start answering lots of security questions every single time they use the application (ie: daily) and our staff is having to handle technical support questions that shouldn't exist. Right now it's only IE that's causing the issue, but I'm sure every browser and Internet Security program will soon be adding this to their products. There should at least be a way for the USER to white-list a specific Domain so Flash could exempt those sites from ANY external program trying to delete ALL Shared Objects/Local Storage/Flash Cookies. The USER should be given that choice. This would satisfy the extra privacy you are putting in there and still allow information to be stored from sites that require it.

Creating Website Flash in Premiere

First, I have to admit I hate working in flash CS5
I have to create flash slide shows that change very frequently for our web site. I have created various 648 x 280 images in PS and then use premier to create a video and export it to FLV4. What I cannot figure out is a way to play it on the website. Seems I need to convert the FLV4 to SWF. I do not need the video to link to other pages, just play and loop.
Any ideas would be appreicated.

I was able to make the project work in both Flash CS5 and Flash Catalyst.
Flash Catalyst was a quick fix to getting the Premier video into a SWF that I then loaded the php code into the web store.
Flash CS5 Pro did the same thing and facilitated adding clickable links along the video timeline. This was accomplished by basically doing all the wrong things according to tutorials and advise. Here is the process.
Develop a video sequence comprised of flat art and/or video in Premiere Pro. You can use all of the transitions and effects to create a video that is appealing and alluring.
Export as a FLV (note, not FL4 as it will not load on the timeline)
Open FL and import the video from your computer file
Select the second option to load the video on the timeline as SWF. Note, this lets you add an action track at the frame transitions so that you can assign a URL to that segment of the video
Use Code snipets to add the URL go to action and change the URL to the page you want in the action center. Copy that action frame and paste it into the frames associated with that segment. As a suggestion, if you are like me, all the majority segments have the same duration, so you can copy the keyframe sequence and paste it into the frames associated with the other segments. Then change the url in each segment by selecting all the frames and changing one to the URL you want. It will change all in that segments action track.
Export to SWF.
If you are using it in an html page, you will have all that you need. In my case, I upload it to the server and then reference it in the php code.
Again, thanks for all the help!
BTW, the issue with using a exported SWF relates to audio sync with the video. Since I do not use sould files for my work, it is not an issue.

Need help with making website flash banner/header

Can you loop in flash catalyst? I am new to catalyst and flash pro, so I am sorry if this is simple...
I have designed 3 art boards in Photoshop and imported them into flash catalyst. I would like to have the art boards show for about 4 to 5 sec and then transition to the next slide or art board, I need this to happen automatically. Also there are buttons on each slide to redirect to any single art board. Example button 1, 2, 3.
I have already made the links, but I do not know how to set up the art boards to start looping on load of web page. I have seen this done on many websites, am I using the right program? I have both which one should I use? Can anyone recommend an easy tutorial that will show me step by step how to make my art boards transition? Can anyone help?

Website Flash Loading Slowly Help

Hi,
I have recently launched a site for a client which includes an interactive flash element on the home page but it takes a long time to load (10-30seconds). I have followed advice from others about keeping image small and link movies rather than embed but still slow, the swf file is about 7.9mb which i thought was ok for the size of flash file.
Does anyway else know where I have gone wrong whether it be the embedding or some other area.
I would appreciate any help/advice I can get, the site is wiggin .co.uk

I have gone through and done all except loading the images externally as I am not sure how to do this, I have got the file down to 6.8mb so saved about a 1MB, but cant see much difference in load time though..
regarding loading images externally how do i go about this with the last disruption to the current animation, the flash is made up of lots of elements that took ages to compose, is there a way to just direct flash to look for all the images in a folder without editing the timeline, then i can clear the library? (or am i just dreaming..)

Flash not finished install on Win7 IE9(?) get allow for website, Flash enabled-not fully installed, cant see clowds

Had problems with Flash not working. Windows 7, IE 9(?)latest. Uninstalled Flash, reinstalled Flash. Problems look like Flash never reinstalled ok. Can't see the "Clowds" shows version 15 installed. Had Flash Professional installed, reinstalled tha too, no luck. I get "webpage wants to use Flash msg constantly at bottom of IE9. "Allow/Allow for all sites" Add on for Flash is in IE9, and Enabled. Please help!! reinstall IE? Thanks!

Hi, when i have flash graphics on my web page it says *click
to activate this control* anyway i can remove this problem?

Install the Dreamweaver updater at

It's not a Dreamweaver problem but an Internet Explorer one

Flash not playing once uploaded to website

Hopefully someone can help. This seems like it should be so
easy.
When I test flash video .flv locally on my computer,
everything looks and works great. Once I upload the html to my
website, flash no longer plays. Server is Linux but that should not
matter. I'm using Dreamweaver 8. Test code is below. Does anyone
have any suggestions? I've included the FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf
file and other swf in the same directory.

I found the mime settings and added them to the server.
Downloaded the AC_FL_RunContent.js and AC_RunActiveContent.js to
the scripts subdirectory.
Read a bunch of stuff from Adobe and I'm even more confused.
Getting Flash to run is a real Pain! If I don't get it soon, I'm
just going to use links... this is getting ridiculous. This should
be SIMPLE... embed the video , download to the server and GO.
Any ideas?

Hi all, just getting my feet wet with OOP and actionscript

Of course i tried a few google searches before typing out
this post! Maybe you could be more specific on the exact keywords
used as it have tried the following searches "structure flash
object oriented website", "flash object oriented website", "oop
flash site" but unfortunately they didn't bring up anything of use.
Hence the reason why i posted this question (isn't this what the
forum for? i'm sure you could answer every post on this forum with
that response).

Problem with adobe flash player, it's installed but doesn't work....

I have Windows 7 - Internet Explorer 9 with both 32 and 64 - 32 being the main one used.
It's 4 months old and has worked beautifully up till a couple of days ago when trying to get into Mathletics website it tells me Javascript is diabled. Please turn on Javascript to access Mathletics website, then it comes up with

To view this website, Flash Player 9 or above is required. You can download the latest one for free from Adobe by clicking the image below:
We haven't touched Flash Player or Javascript so I don't know why all of a sudden this has happened after using it without any problems for 4 months.
Anyway I've checked all the suggestions re Internet Options Security (custom level etc) and checked Internet Options Programs manage add-ons, and checked under ?Help that we're running IE (without 64bit showing). I've uninstalled and reinstalled the current Flash Player version several times, and when I check http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ it shows I have version 10,3,181,34 installed, I've even copied across from my last backup the version which worked before these problems. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled Java.
Can someone please help.

I think I will leave ActiveX Filtering enabled. I have added the mathletics webiste to my restricted sites (tools, internet options, security, restricted sites) and have changed the custom level to ActiveX Filtering disabled, and I have also changed the (top right hand corner) content filtering to read "no content is filtered on this site".
Is this ok that I do that?
However, it hasn't rectified my problem.
I see there are quite a few people that seem to be having the same or similar problem with Windows 7 / IE9 and Flash Player, is it possible there's a bug?

I cannot view videos in full screen using Flash Player

I currently have Windows 8. I was pulling up some videos to get ready to watch some football games through a website. The video plays just fine until I tried to make it full screen. Then the screen is black but the audio continues just fine. I've tried all of the fixes that I can find with no luck in resolving the issue. According to Adobe's website, Flash Player is already embedded in Internet Explorer for Windows 8, so I cannot technically "install" it. According to Adobe's website, I have the most current version.
Please help! The game is on Saturday!

Ugh! This is why I don't use Internet Exploder. May I suggest downloading Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/), and the Flash Player (Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)) for it, and see if it works better? I'll bet it does.

In addition to these steps, I recommend, BEFORE emptying the trash:
Go to: [User]/Library/Preferences (hold the "Option" key when clicking "Go" from the Finder menu to reveal the hidden Library folder)
Trash the ENTIRE Macromedia folder from there
Aside from that additional step, follow the rest of the instructions to the letter and you should be back up and running.
