Version 2.0 better mobile reception?

Don't know if it's a coincidence, but my iPhone running version 2.0 is getting much better reception on O2 here. There used to be several places at home where I got nothing, now it gets a signal everywhere. Is this an expected feature?

Dont know about better, but I haven't had any of the problems with wifi or edge that others are talking about. I also had no problems with the install.

  • Right way to copy desktop version for tablet and mobile

    Watching this video       http://tv.adobe.com/watch/muse-feature-tour/adobe-muse-designing-for-mobile-devices/
would seem that copying from the desktop version to tablet or mobile, you copy all the contents (texts, images, slide shows etc..).
But i doesn't work. May  I have to totally rebuild manually tablet and mobile versions or is possible copy the entire site and then, if i need , make changes in each release?
    many thanks in advance

Sad!  Could be of great help for us develop the function to automatically copy all the contents.
We would avoid to rebuild the site 3 times and we would re-design only things to change.
    Many thanks for your reply

If you are producing software how do you detect the Firefox version and show whether or not it is compatible ? You may be interested in http://hacks.mozilla.org/2012/01/firefox-goes-2-digit-time-to-check-your-ua-sniffing-scripts/
If you are, or your clients are in a corporate environment there is a possibility that Firefox ESR will be in use.
    * https://wiki.mozilla.org/Enterprise#How_to_Participate_and_Post
    * http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/
My understanding is that ESR has been brought out primarily to deal with this sort of problem ensuring software may be certified in an enterprise, and does not change as often (so it will remain as Firefox 10 with point releases for a while).

  • On new version of Yahoo Beta, can't download pictures that come in text area of e-mails--it works in Safari.

Ever since I started on the new version of Yahoo, called Yahoo Beta, a couple of months ago, the only way I can get photos that come in the text area is to either use reply or forward, then the pictures are revealed. I've written and written Yahoo to no avail (I tried everything they suggested), but what's strange is, the downloads work fine on Safari, in the same version of Yahoo Beta. I've updated everything, emptied the Cache, etc., etc., and still cannot make the pics work on Firefox. And, by the way, they did work on the OLD version of Yahoo. Thanks for any help you can give.

go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. You can enable the Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working.

  • MBP better wireless reception than PD?

Question for previous owners of PowerBooks who have upgraded to a MacBook Pro.
I'm thinking of upgrading to a new MBP 17". Do MBP's have better wireless reception than PowerBooks? I have a powerbook G4 17" 1.5ghz, my friends MacBook (white) has way better reception. The MacBook can see about 10 local wireless networks and connects with good reception while the powerbook rarely sees more than three, and I get barely any signal strength if any at all from the visible networks.
    Christo

I can confirm what sig says, to an extent. My MBP does have slightly better reception than a PB, but it's nowhere near as good as an MB (or my iPhone/iPod Touch). I haven't had any issues with dependability. The main issue is the aluminum casing, since the MB and MBP have the same wireless card.
All of them are more than adequate for my needs, though. The MBP gets full strength from my wireless network; so does a laptop with a polycarbonate case, but the latter does see more of the neighbors' networks.

  • Create version of iweb for mobile phone

Just wondering if I should do anything different, to create a version for use on mobile devices, such as phones.
As it is now, my site works (except for the one piece of flash), but it isn't a "true" mobile version. Is there anything I should or can do?
    thanks

Like Weebly, Google Sites is a free web-based website builder accessible from any internet connected computer.

If i've done my site in iweb, how would I implement this feature?
You would have to switch from iWeb to Google Sites, i.e. rebuild your website in Google Sites. A non web-based app that's "mobile friendly" is Freeway:

  • How do I find what version of Firefox beta 5 I'm running on Mac OS X?

Firefox Beta 5 on Mac OS X offers to update itself from time-to-time. The auto-update message does not indicate either the current or new version (e.g., 5.0b3). And "About Firefox" simply says "5.0".
How can I tell precisely which release of Firefox Beta 5 is running?
    -- Ward

The developers have made that very hard to find. I hope that they go back to showing in Help > About Firefox so that users can more easily find that information.
Courtesy of '''''the-edmeister''''', here is what you need to do:
    #Help > Troubleshooting Information
#under Application Basics, on the line Build configuration, click the link shown
#on the "about:buildconfig" page, click the link next to "built from"
#near the top of the next display you will see something similar to: FIREFOX_5_0b'''#'''_RELEASE FIREFOX_5_0b'''#'''_BUILD1

  • How are stacks and version sets handled in Mobile Albums

I am thinking of purchasing PSE 12.  However, I have a question about the way stacks and version sets are handled in Mobile Albums within Revel.
When photos are in stacks or version sets in PSE 12 and I sync those photos to Mobile Albums in Revel, do the photos also appear as stacks and version sets in Revel?  Or, do the photos which were in stacks and version sets in PSE 12 appear individually (i.e. un-stacked and not in version sets) in Revel?

I had the same issue. It took me a lot of time playing with the interface before I finally figured out the problem. Even though, when you double click a photo (single view) from within the default grid view, you "do" get the option to expand a stack or version set (not greyed out). However, it does not work. My frustration with that is that since it was not greyed out you would naturally expect it to be functional and it is not. In grid view the option is greyed out however that caused confusion as well since this option works in Elements 12 default view. So, one assumes it is a defect. Right? So the solution is to switch the grid view to detail view (view -> detail). Once you do that then the expand function works as expected. This should have been explained as I believe it is a change in functionality (user work flow) from earlier versions. I did try to find wording about this in the help file but no luck.

  • How to visit full versions of sites (not mobile ones) on firefox for android on the tablet pc?

for example I want to go on the full version of the twitter.com but I can't, it redirects me on the mobile version.

  • Trial to full version problem on lightroom mobile

I used a trial version of lightroom and lightroom mobile. within a few days of the trial expiring I used a credit card and bought a serial key from adobe.com to upgrade from trial to full version. but for some reason lightroom mobile on my iPads says my trial has now expired and i need to sign in with an id that has a paid version. i have already done that! how do i solve this problem? i can't use lightroom mobile yet i have full version on my desktop. please help.

In order to use Lightroom Mobile you must have a creative cloud subscription. Lightroom Mobile worked for 30 days because you are given a trial period. But beyond that trial, Lightroom Mobile cannot be used unless you subscribe to a creative cloud package. The most common one, I believe, is the one that includes Photoshop/Bridge, Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile for $9.99/month.

  • Is a ARMv6 version of the newest version of Firefox 4 Mobile (not Fennec's nightly build) already in development or in planning?

I own a HTC Wildfire, and I think it's really ashame that Firefox 4 Mobile is not out for phones with an ARMv6 processor yet, only for ARMv7 processors. I'd love to try the newest version of the mobile version of Firefox, because I see many improvements since Fennec.
So I was wondering if Mozilla is already developing Firefox 4 for ARMv6 phones. These are a lot of phones, so I don't think they should be skipped.
    Thanks in advance,

Have you considered using one of the ARMv6 Experimental Builds?

  • New version of yahoo beta mail will not upload attachments with foxfire browser

I have switched to yahoo email's new beta version. I can not upload attachments while using foxfire browser on my PC but can using windows on my laptop? Yahoo live help could not find solution and felt it was a problem with the browser- foxfire? I just need to find solution to problem. Have any suggestions?

I misunderstood the "of 25MB" part of the image. Maybe that's Yahoo's maximum allowance.
The typical next step is to try to rule out a conflicting add-on. A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode. More info on Safe Mode: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
To start in Safe Mode you can use:
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
If uploads works correctly, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the likely culprit.
If there's no difference, you could also test for a plugin conflict by disabling those here:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category
You probably have to reload the page or start a new message to test that change.
    Any difference?

  • Obmenugen next version (v0.5): beta-testers needed

    Hi everybody:
It's been a long time since last obmenugen release. Sorry about that, I've been very busy.
I need everybody out there using (or not) obmenugen to help me making the next version the best ever. I have ported to D 1.0 (from 2.0), thus it's posible to build it easily using dmd and libphobos from community. No more need to distribute it as a binary. I've also fixed some bugs reported in lauchpad project's bugtracker.
I consider this the most important release of obmenugen from 0.1, so, help me to test it before the final release.

Yes, indeed, it's the same app, I'm the developer, but this thread is about a complete diferent topic: the new version, which cames with a lot of changes, not much at the interface level, but in the inside. Anyway, at the interface level, there are changes too.
I'm not sure, probable you are the one to make me clear, but I think both threads are related, no more than that, 'cause is the same application, but in this thread I'm asking for beta-testers for this new version, for the matter that it cames with so much changes, the other thread is where I do inform the Arch community about releases.
If you think this thread is not needed or redundant, just tell me, and I will move my posts to the other, then you could remove this.
    Thanks a lot
