Version 3.6 hangs when attempting to load Newsbusters. MS IE opens it just fine.

When I attempt to open the web site ''Newsbusters," it freezes-up. I have to do a Ctrl-Alt-Del to get back to my desktop. It worked fine before, even as the latest version is installed. MS IE opens that site just fine.

Since last night, when I had the problem, I did nothing about "cookies" or anything else. One time when I attempted to open Firefox I got a continuous "hour glass" which froze up my whole computer. I could not even shut down the computer by the normal means to do a orderly shut down! What did I do? A cold reboot! (Turn power off, then turn power back on.)
And then this morning, 15 August, the problem simply went away. I do have a problem, in another web site, where the site is not completely opened. This is camcorder info:
http://www.camcorderinfo.com/
EDIT: Hummmmm, when I click on the above inbedded link, it opens just fine! But when I go back to my desktop, click to open Firefox and click on that web site, I get an incomplete opening, with a message:
'''No such pipe, or this pipe has been deleted
September 14th, 2009 This data comes from pipes.yahoo.com but the Pipe does not exist or has been deleted.'''
End of edit...
Again, MS Internet Explorer opens it up just fine.
Gentlemen, I am very close to uninstalling Firefox altogether! The only advantage it had over Internet Explorer was a slightly greater speed and was better suited for certain 32 bit operations. (I have a Windows7 64 bit machine and a 64 bit Internet Explorer.)

  • Preview hangs when attempting to print documents....

Since upgrading to Lion. Preview hangs when attempting to print documents....
Will not even open the print dialog window and results in having to use Force Quit to Exit. Anyone experiencing the same? Any ideas?

Just notices the other threads actually. Interesting about the Canon print drivers, as I do have UFRII Canon drivers loaded. I have a number of different Printers, including Lexmark, HP Plotters and Canon.
The hang log doesn't come up after the crash. But I think this the Entry in Console relating to the last time it went down:

  • Iphoto hangs when attempting to print photo

iphoto hangs when attempting to print photo even after rebuilding library

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
    what fixes have you tried?
    where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
    what type of Mac?

  • On my PC, iTunes 11.0.3.42 causes it to hang when attempting to view a .MOV (1.6GB) requiring a cold boot. What could be causing this?

On my PC running windows XP Service Pack 3, iTunes 11.0.3.42 causes it to hang when attempting to view a .MOV (1.6 GB) requiring a cold boot. What could be causing this? Corrupted .MOV? Too little RAM? It successfully plays a 162 MB .MOV.

    Hello David,
Thank you for providing all that information about the iTunes issue you are experiencing.  We would first want to rule out any software issues before we can determine if it has to do with RAM.  I found an article that will help you isolate and troubleshoot software issues that could be causing iTunes to behave this way:
iTunes for Windows XP: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1421
I hope this helps you get back on track with watching movies in iTunes!
    Best,
    Sheila M.

    catch (ClassNotFoundException e)
// Could not find the database driver
    } catch (SQLException e)
// Could not connect to the database
can i have to set classpath for this, pls help me.

Do not modify the serverclasspath in WebServer 6.1.
Add the path to the driver to the classpathsuffix attribute.
    change
    classpathsuffix=""
    to
    classpathsuffix="/usroracle/driver/classes12.zip" (Unix)
    or
    classpathsuffix="C:/Oracle/driver/classes12.zip" ( Windows )
Replace the path in the example with the actual path to the driver file.
    HTH,
    Hari.

  • My G3 is Hanging when trying to load Tiger

My G3 is hanging when trying to load up tiger. It gets all the way up the progress bar and doesn't go any further? Any suggestions? Can I just erase my hard drive and start over. It's a computer that I'm trying to upgrade for my kids so there is really nothing important on the hard drive at this point. I can't even get to disk utility to do this.

Does your computer meet the minimum system requirements for Tiger? [Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger system requirements|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301341] Note, these really are minimum and Tiger will run a lot better with more, especially RAM. Tiger on a 300MHz will probably be quite slow.
Some B&W G3s do not respond well to larger drives and the best terms is "flaky". These are the Rev. 1 G3s. You can post in the G3 forum for more information about this. See Grant's comments in [this discussion|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7203272&#7203272]
The firmware should have been updated on your computer before any OSX install but I'd make sure just in case [Mac OS X: Available firmware updates for upgrading from OS9 to OSX|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86117]

can i have to set classpath for this, pls help me.
    PS: Sorry for my english.

Yes, the Oracle driver jar/zip file has to be in the classpath of the webapp or the server.
For webapp, drop the jar file in the webapp's WEB-INF/lib.
For server, add it to server-classpath or drop it in <instance-dir>/lib

  • LabView hangs when trying to load the same VI with a different user logged onto Win2k

When 'User A' is logged onto Win2k, a particular VI loads and runs fine. When 'User B' logs onto the same Win2k box, LabView hangs when trying to load the VI.
I'm also not seeing the setup channels in the Data Neighborhood in MAX when logged on as 'User B'. I tried loading the configuration when logged on as 'User B' that I think is being used for 'User A', but nothing happens.
Where are the configuration files (of whatever type) that tell LabView which user is logged on?
    Thank you!

There are no configuration files that tells LabVIEW what users are logged on. It is Win2K permissions settings that allow different users access to different folders and applications. Try changing the permissions for the LabVIEW folder and see if that doesn't fix your problem.

If doesn't work try use the instructions below BUT in BOTH folders, first in SourceList and after in the Media.
Start>Run put regedit and press Ok.
    1. Go to the key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\9B00314CD581E574FBCE93FE37F2911B\SourceLis t\Media
    2. Right click in Media folder, select Permissions from the menu.
    3. You will see that is no user, on the "Permissions for..." dialog box which appears next, press the "Add.." button and add in the "All"
    4. Back on the first "Permissions for..." dialog box, click on each account in the top-list and make sure each has the "Full Control = Allow" and "Read = Allow" permissions
    5. Click the "Advanced" button and the "Advanced Security Settings" dialog box appears
    6. On the "Permissions tab" enable the checkmark box named "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object", then press the "Apply" button
    7. On the "Owner" tab, highlight the "Administrators" name in the lower listbox, enable the checkmark box called "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" and press the "Apply Button"

We tested for RedHat and SUSE - for the first OS it worked fine but for SUSE I got:Either the standard pointer problems leading to a spurious error or some subtle OS difference.
SIGFPEThat is a pretty specific signal. If the C++ code is not mucking around with numerics then it would suggest a pointer problem. If numerics are involved then that would be the first place to start (noting again that pointer problems can cause spurious errors.)
