Version 33 fails with some web pages.

With version 33 I cannot use some web pages (version 30 still works fine.)
Some examples:
Cannot order a pizza from Dominos.
Cannot use finance.yahoo.com echarts.
Cannot submit art to deviantart.com.
I prefer private mode. It fails. I've tried restarting with add-ons dissabled, still fails. Tried clearing cache, cookies and history to no avail.
Failure is with:
Mozilla Firefox for Linux Mint - 1.0
Mozilla Firefox for Linux Ubuntu -1.0, release 33
Success with Mozilla Firefox for Linux Ubuntu - 1.0, release 30.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":

I see what you are referring to. The HTML for the site may be written so that not all the content can be printed.
Try taking a screen shot of the window. Launch Grab located in /Applications/Utilities
Then  Shift + Command + W to take a screen shot of the window. From the Grab menu bar top of your screen click File > Print
You may need to take two screen shots in order to get the entire window.

  • Back button does not work with some web sites to return me back too Firefox main page after concluding business on site.

After connecting to a web site and completing tasks, I use back button too return too Firefox main page. After using back button to get back to the original site log in page the back button (after repeated uses) will never get me off the web page and back to the Firefox main page. At this point the only way too get back too Firefox main page is too shut down Firefox wait 60 seconds and restart Mozilla-Firefox.

Some web pages are coded to redirect you forward to another page. In that case, when you go back to the page, Firefox redirects you forward again.
To bypass this, use the history drop-down next to the back and forward buttons. The drop-down has the most recent pages on top, and older pages below. Jump as far down the list as you can, then repeat as needed to get back to the first page.

  • Some web pages causing 100% CPU use of iexplore.exe since Flash update

I'm having a problem with certain Amazon.com pages hanging my
Internet Explorer 6 using Flash Player 10,0,12,36, causing 100% CPU
use for iexplore.exe and requiring me to End Task to quit. All the
pages effected have an interactive mouseover Size and Color chart
that intially says "Loading" but then says "Select Size and Color"
once loaded. One mouseovers the various color patches and size
options, each time giving item availability in that option. When
the pages hang the IE browser with 100% CPU use that chart never
gets to the "Select Size and Color" point, instead stuck at the
"Loading" status. This happens most times, but not every time.
Sometimes the pages load correctly, after a brief lag as it loads
    the chart.
Amazon pages without this chart load fine.
The start of this problem coincides with updating Flash.
I can prevent the problem from happening almost every time if
I can quickly get my cursor into that chart area while the page
begins loading. If I allow the pages to load fully with no
interaction they will hang almost every time.
I have not noticed any problems on those same web pages using
    Firefox using Flash Player 9,0,124,0
I also have not noticed any issues with other sites using
Internet Explorer either. (YouTube, QVC, CNN...etc, all OK.)
I had posted for assistance on the Experts Exchange site and
there was some debate on whether the chart was a Java or
Flash-based chart, so initially it was being approached as a
possible Java issue, so I removed all Java versions on the system
and installed various versions, but the same problem persists.
I've downloaded but not run the Flash Uninstaller, as I'm
reluctant to uninstall the Firefox Flash version without knowing
for sure I could install 9,0,124,0 again.
I've downloaded an archived fp9_archive.zip, which seems to
indicate the contained files flashplayer9r124_winax.exe (Internet
Explorer) and flashplayer9r124_win.exe (Netscape) would be versions
9,0,124,0 to install after running the uninstaller.
Can anyone check a few of the links below and see if the
"Select Size and Color" chart is Flash based? If so, would
executing the files listed above install 9,0,124,0 into my
    respective browsers again?

I'm attempting to troubleshoot an issue with Amazon web pages

could take a look at my initial post and advise if the issue seems

  • Can't open some web pages... DOES ANYONE HAVE A FIX THAT WORKS?

I'm unable to open certain web pages. The pages will start to open and than the application will just stall. This seems to have coincided with downloading a security update a while back. I've tried downloading firefox and it too will not open these specific pages. I've searched the forum and as of now I can't find a solution. From what I've hear, Apple isn't even acknowledging that there is an issue. I've repaired permissions, deleted Safari plist files, all with no improvement. I know for a fact that it is not my internet connection, as my powerbook can navigate to these sites without any issues, however my powermac seems to have "forgotten" how to open some web pages.
Any fixes would be enourmously appreciated!

    Thanks for the reply.
I don't think that reporting the pages to apple would do much good as it's not the pages themselves that are the issue, it's something on my system that prevents them from opening up properly. My laptop will open the pages without any issue, however my desktop isn't able to for god knows what reason. I know others on this board have had similar problems.

  • Safari will not finish loading some web pages

I just bought a new macbook pro. As soon as I got it I started installing programs I use (photoshop, lightroom, Chrome, Firefox, etc).  It seemed that from the beginning Safari didn't work properly, but in reading more about my problem maybe it's because I have downloaded programs that changed Safari.
Some web pages work fine, but some don't.  For instance, even the Apple.com site won't load all the way in Safari.  Links or images will be missing.  I tried to fill out a form and when I got to the bottom of the page the "submit" button was missing and I couldn't submit the form.  I try the same page in Chrome and it works just fine.  Firefox is even worse at loading the website though.
I've been trying to read other people's questions to figure it out but no one seems to have the exact same problem.  I tried changing the DNS and reinstalling Safari and it made no difference.  Then I read some advice from Linc Davis to create a guest user.  I tried loading Apple.com in Safari under the guest user and it worked perfect.  Then I tried booting in safe mode as Linc Davis suggested others do and I still had the same problem with Safari, no improvement.  At least I think I was in safe mode.  I turned off my computer and when I turned it back on and heard the chime I held down the shift key.  The grey apple screen came up with the gear turning, but when it came to the log in screen it didn't say "safe mode."  Is there any indication to tell you you are indeed in safe mode?
Any way I restarted normally and can't figure out how to fix Safari.  Any suggestions? Linc Davis?

To anyone who has this same question, I had to find the answer on my own and thought I would post it for you.  I was kind of annoyed that Apple wouldn't even try to help me.  After searching forever on Apple's support pages I finally did a google search and went to some outside sources to find the answer.  I narrowed down that the problem Safari was having was not being able to load images on any website.
    Here was the solution:
    I opened Finder
Opened the Go menu and held down the option key to open the hidden Library folder
    Opened Preferences
Then I deleted all the com.apple.Safari files (there were 4)
Ta Dah! Safari instantly works again.  Hope this can help someone else out in my predicament.

  • Magic Mouse - scrolling doesn't work on some web pages

The scroll function on my Magic Mouse isn't working on some web pages. The main ones it struggles with are news sites (e.g. The Telegraph), or things that regularly update (e.g. BBC Sport live commentaries). When this is a problem the page won't scroll at all, even if you enable the scroll bars at the side of the page and try to drag manually. The majority of web pages do work however. Thoughts?

    Hello Halifax:
Are you really running OS X 10.3?
These are the requirements for a magic mouse:
    Minimum Requirements
    A Bluetooth-enabled Macintosh computer
Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0* or Mac OS X v10.6.1 or later >with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0

  • In some web pages, pdf files are downloaded in very small kb and not opening despite I have Adobe reader, Pro and plug in

I have Firefox 3.6.6, downgraded from higher versions since I have this problem below.
At some web pages (mostly professional academic sites like Oxford Journals), when I am clicking to get pdf of an article, Firefox start downloading ridiculously small size and cannot open it as it gives the message "Acrobat could not open 'filename.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged ..."
I know the file is not damaged, because I can open them in explorer. And some websites are also working properly in Firefox. I do not care if it opens in firefox or pops up separately.
I have reloaded Acrobat and Firefox but problem continues.

hello vijayabhaskarv, that sounds as if you're using the pdf viewer built into firefox per default, which might not work in all situations. please see the following article in order to select a different plugin to render pdf files: [[How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer]]

  • Web auth with , intenal web page of WLC and ISE as radius server

    Hi All ,
We have created a SSID as web auth with internal web page for login . In advanced tab we configured AAA server.  AD is integrated with ISE .
When the user tries to get connect , he is getting redirect URL . But during the authentication , we are getting error in ISE as
"ise has problems communicating with active directory  using its machine credentials "  and authentication getting failed .
When we have L2 security mechanism enabled with PEAP , ISE is able to read the AD and providing authentication .
Only for L3 web auth it is not happening..
    Any clue on this ..???
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Vijay.

Machine credentials requires a lookup on the computer OU and that has to be defined on the client side.
    Thanks,

  • Some web pages take long to load

I just recently got my mac and i like it better than my PC. There is only one problem I run into. I have noticed that some web pages take long to load and once they are loaded i try scrolling down or up and the web page lags big time. Also the grapics are not all that great. My PC runs the pages just fine. This is not a problem for all web pages but only a few. Mainly I see the problem on some myspace profiles. I was just wanted to see if anyone knows why I am having this problem.
imac intel core duo   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Welcome to the discussions!
It is slower in a measureable sense, or just a "seat of the pants" feeling?
Go to PC Pitstop and run their test. If you are getting the bandwidth that you are paying for, then it is an issue with your broswer.
I do not like Safari. It is slower than Camino, especially in conjunction with CamiTools. Safari is a memory hog and grabs CPU cycles like nobody's business. I have never had any issues with either Camino or Firefox. Either are much better than Safari, IMO.
If you miss the look of Safari, there are skins and even a great RSS reader that can be added to Firefox called Sage. It offers better RSS integration than Safari IMO.
In my experience, Macs just render pages slower than PCs due to poor coding or IE specific coding that lazy web authors. Safari is one of the most standards compliant browsers out there, but if the pages are coded poorly or browser specific, then there is nothing that Safari can do about it.
You can take a look at some settings, but let us know what speeds you are paying for from your ISP and compare those to the actual speeds. Then we can talk about possible solutions.

  • After upgrading to Mac OS Lion, even after installing Java manually, some web pages don't download and appear blank whereas Firefox works

After upgrading to Mac OS Lion, even after installing Java manually, some web pages don't download and appear blank whereas Firefox and Opera work. Can someone help?

Might be a third party Safari addon that was compatible with Snow Leopard but not Lion that's preventing pages to load. That add on may not have any effect on the other browsers, just Safari.
Read here  >  Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
Also, if you have Little Snitch or Peer Guardian or anti virus sofware installed on your Mac, that might prevent pages to load also.
