Version 6 & 8 compatibility

Hi
Any one has any utility or info on making version 6.1 code
compatible with coldfusion 8?

Barbara, I must apologize for not having good recall.
Yes, it is installed or I think it is installed because it took about 20 minutes on my Intel, and the button indicated Done. Also, I find it in my applications folder.
After that, I did a Repair permissions and it gave a msg: Permissions differ on "usr/share/derby", should be drwxr-xr-x, they are Irwxr-xr-x.
Repaired "usr/share/derby".
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreS ... as (sic) been modified and will not be repaired.
Permissions repair complete.
Then I went to the applications folder,  clicked on PSE 6, and after 5 seconds I saw a blue disk showing a camera and PSE 6. After another 5 seconds I got a window:
Photoshop Elements quit unexpectedly.
Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple. (Followed by three buttons: Ignore, Report..., and Reopen).
Reopen just puts me back into the loop.
I sure hope that this is clear now. Just to recap, I originally had V6 installed, and I then installed V8. This time I did the reverse. And, the thing that got me into this mess is that I was using V8 and tried to open V6 when I got the quit msg that is cited above.
Thanks again. Fred

  • Database Cloning/Refresh to a Later Version & Datafile Compatibility

It would be great , if someone can clarify my query on DB Cloning.
I have a source database running on 9.2.0.5 Oracle version
My Target System has got 9.2.0.7 Oracle version.
This is what I want to do :
Trash the datafiles of the Target Database (9.2.0.7)
Copy the source database online backup(9.2.0.5) to the target system(9.2.0.7)
Create controlfile(from the trace generated at source) and perform a recovery to a specific point-in-time
Open the database with resetlogsI am unable to test this out, due to resource limitations.
As there is a difference in Oracle Versions of Source & Target systems, will there be any compatibility issues for the datafiles?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Justin,
    Thanks for the quick response.
Target system has already got a database running on 9.2.0.7
We will be trashing the target database files and then copy the Online backup of the Production system running on 9.2.0.5 to the target, then perform the PITR to the time specified by the business.
Production patch upgrade(to 9.2.0.7) will be done only after couple of months.
Re-installing Oracle software(9.2.0.5) & a patch upgrade at target is not feasbile in this environment.
So.. just wanted to find a work around for this.
In this case we will have to pre-pone the Production(source) Patch upgrade, so as to continue with the Refresh/Cloning activities to the other systems(of 9.2.0.7) in the landscape.
    Thanks Justin.. Once again..

  • LR5 versions, catalog compatibility and latest non-cloud version

    I've been using LR3, then 4 now 5 - I was running 5.3.
However, my HDD crashed so I rebuilt my Win7 OS, reinstalled LR5, but it's now the cloud version (which I don't have a licence for). Even more frustrating (or maybe it's a blessing in disguise), my LR5 catalog is NOT compatible with LR5.7.1 ?!? It says it's too old.
I've searched, but cannot find any documentation saying there's a compatibility issue between different versions of LR and when I upgraded from 4 to 5, it managed a catalog upgrade. Now I'm doing a "minor" upgrade, it cannot read it ?
Where is there a compatibility matrix showing which catalog version can be read / upgraded by which LR versions?
Bearing all that in mind, I think I'll stick to my previous non-cloud version of LR, but my question is which version should I use and will it be compatible with my catalog backup.
Thanks in advance (and sorry for my rant )

    Hi Jim,
    Thanks for your reply.
I've calmed down a bit now And managed to download 5.7.1 standalone in non-cloud version. But the problem remains.
    Or:
Does that mean my catalog is corrupt?

  • How do I go back to my last version of firefox, the new version isnt compatable with my add ons

my add on tabs are not showing up

To downgrade to Firefox 4 first uninstall Firefox 5 beta, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 4 available from http://www.mozilla.com/ - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.

    Hi All,
Can some one please let me know whether Adobe PhotoShop 7.0 of version 7 is compatible on Windows 7 64bit Operating System.

    Hi,
Ps 7 should work on windows 7 as long as your hard drive free space is under 1TB.

  • IPhoto versions and compatibility

I have iPhoto 9.5.1 on my iMac 10.9.1.  I have iPhoto 9.2.3 on a Macbook 10.6.8.  I have the iPhoto library from iMac on an EHD.  The iPhoto on the Macbook will not open iPhoto with that library.  I can open it in IPLM on the MB, but I cannot seem to make the 9.5.1 library compatible with the 9.2.3 on the MB in 10.6.8. Any thoughts?

No early version of iPhoto can opena  later version's Library. End of story.
You can try revert the Library to the earlier version if you have iPhoto Library Manager

  • UCCE Script Version Upgrade Compatibility.

I'm currently running UCCE 7.5 (ICM 7.5.6, CAD 7.6.2, and IP IVR 8.0.2).  I'm working with a VAR to plan our upgrade to UCCE 8.5 and 9.  The VAR is telling me that there may be a significant amount of time that would need to be spent validating the scripts will work with the newer versions of UCCE.  Is this true?  In the 9.x Upgrade guide, I see that sub skill groups are no longer supported, but I'm not using any sub skill groups.  I have previously performed upgrades from ICM 7.2 to 7.5 and from IP IVR 5 to 7 to 8, and I never had to edit any of my ICM or IVR scripts during the upgrade.

Unless you are converting your skill groups to precision routing skill groups there should be virtually no changes to the scripts.

  • Norton IS & Adobe Flash not compatible with FF5. Why release new version without compatability?

JEEZ! Your own feedback site doesn't work.
Norton & Adobe Flash are not working with Firefox 5. Yes, I selected "Other Browsers". Before you release a new version, please be sure essentials are compatible. It's a major pain to lose access to these.
    http://www.pandora.com &
    http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback#sad

You won't get any response from Apple when you submit feedback, and in any case Apple almost never explains the rationale behind their decisions. All you can do is provide your comments to them.

  • Version in-compatibility

    Dear all,
There seems to be a version incompatibility wrt javax.comm package. Because the SerialDemo.java that's provided by sun works perfectly with with jdk1.1.8 but cannot work with jdk1.3.1_02. With jdk1.3.1_02, i cannot see the port locations as i run SerialDemo.java. Can anyone please advice me on how to resolve this matter? Is there some ways that i can do to make the port locations appear? Will it work on the new jdk1.4? Thank you very very much.

Anything prior to 1.2 version of Java isn't going to be gauranteed to work with 1.2 or above. However, if something works in 1.3, it will work in 1.4.

  • Version issues/compatability

Hello, we have 2 guys using version 11.5 CR Developer, we have been using for years and not had any issues. We have 2 other guys now on the latest version of SAP CR Developer version 14.0.4.738.
    Problem
When we run the reports using the newer version it returns lower figures that the older version which are correct, I have tried changing this and that including saved data and 2 separate reports for each version with the exact same setup but still the newer version are much lower than the other versions. It simply does not make sense unless the newer version is reading differently to the other version. One other thing is when I read using any viewer I get the correct data returned, so this is the SAP 14.0.4 version issue.
Can anyone advise on this one?
    Thanks
    S

    Hi Steve,
This could an issue with the DB Client you are using, lots of changes to both CR and the DB clients between then and now.
What database are you using and how are you connecting and which DB Clients are you using?
The syntax of the SQL, case sensitivity, Null value handling are 2 I think of off the top...

  • Xulrunner error wont let me access internet so i cant verify the email you send me. the platform version isnt compatable with 11.0 how cani get it fixed?

My computer was installing some updates and when everything was done I tried opening up Mozilla Firefox. I couldn't open it and there was an error message that said:
    XULRUNNER
Error: Platform version '12.0' is not comparable with
inversion (then there was a greater than sign) (then an equal sign) 11.0
maxVersion (then there was a less than sign) (then an equal sign) 11.0
So I was not able to click on the confirmation email that was sent to me so I'm afraid nobody will help me. Can someone send me an executable file that will work to my computer email? It's (email removed by mod)
I am doing this message to you from my cell phone and it's email is the one associated with Gmail.

Don't worry, we will still help you out :) Just click on the confirmation as soon as you can.
Try to start Firefox in [[Safe mode|Safe mode]]. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works fine in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Restart Firefox in normal mode, then type "About:addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker. Once you do, you can disable that add-on and report the issue to that add-on's developer.
A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this:
Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].
Update all your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): [http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/].
Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.
After doing this, try to open Firefox and update to Firefox version 13

  • Have older imac how do i get itunes new version not compat

Have an older imac with OS X cannot upgrade operating system. Have a new iphone and ipad would like to download itunes to sync devices. Any suggetions

There is only two suggestions possible; 1) upgrade your iMac to Mac OS X 10.5.8. System requirements can be found here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3759
If your iMac falls short of those requiremently only by a bit - your iMac has an 800MHz processor, for instance - it may be possible to "force" Mac OS X 10.5 onto your system. See this site, for starters:
    http://lowendmac.com/osx/leopard/unsupported.html
Otherwise, you will not be able to run iTunes 10.5 which means that you will not be able to sync your iPhone nor iPad to that iMac and you'll (suggestion 2) need to use another computer.
    Regards.

  • OID 10gR3 full version number and compatibility

I am a bit confused about the OID version and compatibility. Can anyone help?
Siteminder r12 is compatible with OID 10gR3 as per Siteminder compatibility matrix.
When I try to find OID version number and in turn its compatibility with Operating system and database, I am finding it hard to understand which version I should be looking for when I want to use OID 10gR3 (e.g. is it 10.1.4.0.1 or 10.1.4.1 or 10.1.4.2 etc)
There is no clear documentation providing this information. From one of the documents (www.oracle.com/technology/.../internet_directory_wp_10gr3.pdf) it seems it is 10.1.4.2
However when I goto download site it only has 10.1.4.0.1.
Also, as per certification matrix of OID 10.1.4 it says it is compatible with OEL5, whereas after downloading 10.1.4.0.1 it fails to install complaining that it needs Red Hat Linux 3 or 4.
Need you help to understand this.
    Thanks,

The Base line version is 10.1.4.1.0, all others are patches. The latest being 10.1.4.3.0, which can be downloaded via MOS (formerly known as Metalink).
10G release 3 is marketing speak; 10.1.4.1 thru 10.1.4.3 are all 10G Release 3 (but different patchlevels. Guess you can speak of OID 10G release 3 patch 2, when you mean OID V10.1.4.3.0 - technicians tend to use versions).

  • You need a newer version of Pages to open this document.

Can't seem to see why this message keeps coming up, I have version 5.1 runing OS 10.9.1
I can force it to open with Control key and "open with", and even tell it to always use 5.1, but it keeps saying this, any idears?

Pages 5 has an orange document icon.
Pages '09 has a blue ink bottle icon.
    This is the full story:
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac and are alternately opening the wrong one.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
Pages '09 can not open Pages 5, iOS 7 Pages, Pages for iCloud beta or iCloud files.
Pages 5 only runs on Mavericks and can not open Pages '08 or earlier files at all and alters/damages Pages '09 files, which once saved can not be opened by anything other than Pages 5.
Pages 5 files are in an odd compressed bundle, impossible to parse, which won't transfer via non-Apple servers. DropBox may have patched theirs, I haven't checked lately.
All Pages files, no matter what version or compatibility, have the same file extension: .pages.
Apple has removed over 110 features from Pages and many of the rest are buggy. They have confused their users and apparently themselves with the installations, upgrades and cross-transfers of files. Effectively Pages 5 files are only compatible with themselves in a very narrow range of hardware and software.
    http://www.freeforum101.com/iworktipsntrick/viewforum.php?f=22&mforum=iworktipsn trick
You can trash Pages 5 after Menu > File > Export > Pages '09 any files you converted to Pages 5.
Just drag Pages 5 to the Trash.

  • ADF Faces is not supported on IE running in compatibility mode

    hi
In the blog post "Running ADF Faces applications with IE 9 in IE 8 compatibility mode "
    at https://blogs.oracle.com/jdevotnharvest/entry/running_adf_faces_applications_with_ie_9_in_ie_8_compatibility_mode
Frank Nimphius explains about headers to make IE browsers behave like a previous version (in compatibility mode), but ends with this support information:
    Very Important(!)
ADF Faces is not supported on IE running in compatibility mode. If using ADF Faces on IE in production, make sure IE is configured to run in native mode. Compatibility mode may only be used during development if your IE version is not certified with the JDeveloper version you work with. In production then you need to make sure the IE version matches the JDeveloper certification matrix.Reviewing the Release 1 "Certification and Support Matrix "
    at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/index-091111.html#Browsers
    it currently says
"For Internet Explorer 8 and 9, only Native mode is supported. View Compatibility mode should be disabled. "
But there currently are no hits when searching for "compatibility" in the Release 2 "Certification and Support Matrix "
    at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/jdev11gr2-cert-405181.html#Browsers
    - (q1) ADF Faces is not supported on IE running in compatibility mode, how much of that applies to JDeveloper Release 2 and where has it been documented?
    many thanks
    Jan Vervecken

    Thanks for your reply Frank.
