Version 6 will not open in Windows 7 on 32 bit PC

I can operate Blackberry Desktop software version 5 without any difficulty but all attempts to install version 6 result in failure.
Version 6 will not even open to run.
Using a recent high spec PC running windows 7 pro and M'soft Office Outlook 2007.
Please help!

Follow the steps in this KB article to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02206
Once you complete all the steps, restart the computer and then attempt to install the software from www.blackberry.com/desktop.

I had to reinstall Windows 7. Since then, iTunes will not open. I have uninstalled iTunes and all related Apple products and reinstalled several times. It tries to open up for about 3 seconds and then nothing. Quicktime opens fine, but no iTunes. HELP!!

Hi, hopefully you have solved this now but if not I had a similar problem with an earlier version of iTunes.
To solve it I had to go into the services menu and shut down a service called 'Bonjour'. Then once iTunes was loaded restart the bonjour service in order to be able to connect a device to it.
There are also 2 other services one called 'apple mobile device' the other called 'iPod service' which are also known to cause loading problems.

I am also having a problem with Itunes 64bit in Windows 7. It was working fine until a few days ago and now it will not open. When it does, it becomes unresponsive. I have tried the above, no luck. I tried repairing it, nothing. I have uninstalled an reinstalled-again it either does not open or it immediately becomes unresponsive. I have checked for malware with Malwarebyes, nothing was found. i think there is probably a problem with one of my settings or perhaps a file is missing/corrupted-but I don't know how to check. It will not open in safemode.

IOracle JDeveloper 10G will not open on Windows 7 64 bit OS?

I have a feeling this may have been asked before but here goes, I am using a Windows 7 64 bit OS laptop and JDeveloper will not open fpr me. I have tried setting it to Run as Administrator and compatibility mode for Windows XP SP 3 and neither of these help. I have very little knowledge of JDeveloper, all I do is use it to compile to an executable .jar file and then copy into the relevant environment. Could someone please let me know if there is a way to resolve this (without using Windows Virtual PC)? Please include step by step instructions, VERY much appreciated!!!

Try invoking JDeveloper using the jdev.exe in the bin directory instead of the jdevw.exe to see a log of what the problem is.
Also which JDK are you using?
And also - why aren't you using the new JDeveloper 11g?

Desktop Software will not open in WIndows 7 64 bit

I have downloaded versions 6.0.1, 6.0.2 and 6.1 of BlackBerry Desktop SOftware separately and after uninstalling the version I set up. In each case set up goes fine and a shortcut comes up and I select to start automatically after the setup, but when the program starts it hangs on the bb logo and goes no further. It is not even listed in the Task Manager as running. The same happens when I double click on the shortcut. I try running it in all the compatibility modes from WIndows XP SP 3 to Vista SP2 and the program just hangs without opening. I clean my Registry and I run the same downloaded program (transfer via flash drive) on another computer running WIndows vista SP 2 and it opens perfectly on that other computer so the downloaded fiel is fine.. I do not have another windows 7 64 bit computer to try to see if there is something on my computer that is causing the problem. Help!

The fact that it worked on yours suggests there is something on my computer that is causing the problem. Did you run it as administrator and in Window 7 compatibility mode, or as downloaded (which is Windows XP SP 3 by default)?

I am running Windows Vista 32 bit, I have just installed the latest version of Itunes, which installs, when I go to open Itunes, I get an error message, ' MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the app may fix the problem.' I have triedd re-installing Itunes, same error message, I have also tried deleteing Itunes and installing an older version, still I get the same error message !

I have had itunes on my laptop and used it, but recently when I tried to open it, it would not. I am on a new machine, 64bit and windows 7. I have unistalled and reinstalled and still doesn not work. I have tried deleting the SC folder, but when I right click on it it does not have an option to do so. I am a new iphone 5 user and cannot do anything with itunes and my phone. Premiere Elements 10 will not open in Windows 7 64-bit

I used it last week with no issues. Today, however, I tried to open it, and after clicking on the New Project button in the welcome screen, nothing happened. It acted like it was opening the program, but then it went from the loading bar to displaying the New Project button again.
Short of reinstalling, I've tried running it as an administrator; I went to the file extension and tried opening the Adobe Premiere Elements.exe, but it thinks I'm running a trial version, when I bought the software and it's already fully installed, and displays a "created using the trial version of Adobe Premiere Elements" across the middle of my videos, which as a video blogger, is not something I really want displayed on my content.
I've never had a problem before this, when I've been using this program for over a year!

I tried it, and it made things worse. It undid the workaround I managed to get with the Adobe Premiere Elements.exe (once I entered the serial number it got rid of the 'created using a free trial version' message... using this uninstalled the Adobe Applications Manager that it needed, and then undid that registration, so I'm concerned now for how many uses my serial number has left)
Still doesn't get the main Adobe Premeire Elements 10.exe to work.

I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

I am also having the same issue. I have Adobe Photoshop CS5.1. The program worked fine in Windows 7 64bit. I recently upgraded laptops to a Samsung with Windows 8 - 64bit. After full install program will not run/open. Here is what I have tried to no avail:
Right Click Photoshop.exe file > Properties > Compatibility Tab >
Run Compatibility Troubleshooter > Troubleshoot Program >
Checked box that reads: The program worked on earlier versions of Windows but will not install or run >
NEXT > Selected Windows 7 for last version program ran on > NEXT >
Test the Program button > NEXT > No this did not help, report the issue to Microsoft >
Check for more solutions > Issues Found with Yellow Exclamation Point - "Incompatible Program Detected" >
CLOSE
No other options have worked either. Ive tried compatibility for Windows XP SP2 and SP3 and neither of those worked either.
I really do not want to pay to upgrade already - how can this be fixed??

Adobe no longer supports the installation and use of Acrobat 6 as it is a very old version which is not compatible with Windows 7.
I would suggest you to please use the latest version of Acrobat i.e. 11.0.10 which is fully compatible with your OS with its enhanced features and functions.
You might download a free 30-day trial version of Acrobat from here:

I guess you mean one of the resume templates.
What "format" have you saved your finished resume in?
The only formats a Windows user will be able to open are .doc (Word), .pdf and rtf. The 1st 2 are usually the best.
There is no Windows version of Pages.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro will not open in Windows 8. It worked until 2 days ago, now it won't do anything. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it with no luck.

32 or 64 bit system? Have you updated Acrobat? Was anything else installed between when it worked and did not? When you say AA 9 will not open, does that mean when you have selected it in the programs list (OK, that is the metro interface if you have not installed the desktop options -- 3rd party)?

Photoshop CS6 Trial Version will not open on my MacBook Pro 10.6.8. Message: Photoshop CS6 will not open on this type of Mac. Dreamweaver opened without a problem. When I go into my Adobe Application Manager, it shows Photoshop and Dreamweaver as installed even though I had to unistall Photoshop. I was hoping to try the download again??
