Version 8.01 Previous session suddenly not restoring in any way.

Very recently, Firefox Version 8.01 stopped restoring the previous session. I have tried everything I could find in your help section but nothing works.
It will not restore automatically or from the History menu.

You can try to delete the chromeappsstore.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Make sure that you do not use Clear Recent History to clear the Browsing History when you close Firefox.

This is how it was advertised but it is not exactly true unless all your music was bought in iTunes. You can always redownload a song that was previously bought for free.
Eventually for a fee they will offer iTunes match and you will be able to do that for other music too that you have ripped off of CDs, for exmple.
If you have more than one Apple ID, though, like so many of us that came from Mobile me, this service will not really work because you can only flip between one ID and another on an IOS device once every 90 days. We are not allowed to merge our IDs, so iCloud does not really work for us.

1st-gen Mac Pro does not boot in any way, not even in safe mode

I have a 1st-generation Mac Pro with the graphics card upgraded to NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT; running 10.7.2. I have had no problems with the machine since I bought it in May 2007... until now. Specifically, the machine suddenly became non-responsive, froze (I do not remember this ever happening before), so I had to power it down and restart. After that, the machine does not boot in any way: does not start up with the Option key; no FireWire target mode; does not start up even in the safe mode. All I get when I power the machine up is the folllowing endless loop: (1) the display unit (30" Apple Cinema Display) waking up from sleep (white light going off) and (2) a flicker of white on the display while the optical drive sounds like checking for any inserted media... then again the display going to sleep for a few seconds and steps (1) and (2).
I could really use help here. Thank you in advance.

I am also sure it is a hardware fault. I have tried to run the Apple Hardware Test from the orginal system disc: I opened the optical drive tray with a paper clip, inserted the disc and powered up the machine. However the machine only spinned up the disc, turned the display to standby, spinned up and standby, etc.
What kind of hardware fault could it be?
(1) the display unit (30" Apple CInema Display) -- I presume unlikely, since the computer should boot even with a defunct display unit or no display unit at all, for that matter;
(2) the graphics card
or
(3) the logic board?

I am running a query in which there are several views involved in the join condition Can we put INDEXES on Views in ORACLE 9i if not Is there any way to make it Index based views beacuse the result that i am getting is very slow and is eating like 10gb of the temp tablespace.

No, you cannot put indexes on a view. Think about what a view is, a stored sql statement. Oracle has no way of knowing what rows are in a view until it actually runs the view. So, even if you could, Oracle would need to run the view to get the rows, build the index, then run your query a second time using the index. Seems counter productive to me. A view can use indexes on the underlying tables if appropriate.
Generally speaking, I would say that a query that makes use of multiple views is probably really inefficient. Often, you are only looking for one or two columns from a view which may require joining several tables whose columns are of no use in the main query. I would start by re-writing the query using the base tables, and only using those tables that are actually required to answer the question.

I'm sorry you're unable to activate the Versa on your Pre-Pay line carter123123. Let's figure out what's going on here. Where did you get the phone from? Restore previous session often not available when reopen program

About 1/2 the time when I reopen Firefox, the Restore Previous Session command is not available. I have to reconstruct my session from history, which is annoying and time consuming. Has anybody else had and solved this problem with a Mac?

None of your possible conditions apply. I always use Quit to close. I've used the recently closed tabs and that only covers a few. I've had to search through History to restore tabs. I wasn't in Private Browsing Mode and I didn't Clear History on closing. Nice try, though. Thanks.

I saved the old files but all the things I read on this site have not helped. I can see the links of the tabs if I open sessionstore.old in firefox but there is like 200 tabs and there must be a faster way then copy and pasting each one into the browser. This has never happened before. It has crashed and opened back up many times, the last one yesterday with no problem but now I get a grey out for restore previous session. I updated to the latest version recently but it opened fine after. Please help.

Firefox doesn't use a sessionstore.old file.
Did you try to copy this file to sessionstore.js?
Did you check for History > Recently Closed Tabs/Windows if you can't restore the previous session?

Resrore Previous Session does not work in FF6

FF6 does not save tabs, etc. when closed -- unexpectedly or by File==>Exit or by History==>Restore Previous Session (option is greyed out). No "Restore Precious Session" button appears on opening page.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

My session was not restored.

I had several websites open in about 4-5 tab groups. Last night when I opened FF none of them were there. When I clicked on history, there were no windows to restore, I couldn't click on restore previous session, and I was no longer signed in to my email account. My browser opens with the previous session page, not my homepage. Why? How can I reset it to open my homepage everytime?

I want my homepage to open to my homepage everytime I open my browser. I think the browser is saving tabs from my previous session but I'm not sure. I'm really beginning to get aggravated with this browser and I love firefox...please help me fix this issue.
BTW, I tried to go to 'tools/options...' but I have no idea where my 'tools' is. When I click the firefox button on the top left of my browser it doesn't give me a 'tools' tab, and options just talks about toolbars and such. I don't get it.

For access to the Tools menu:
Firefox, along with a number of Windows programs, will show the menubar (File, Edit, View etc...) when you press the Alt key. You can then choose 'Options' from the Tools menu.
Alternatively, click on 'Options' in the Firefox Button menu.
(If you'd like to keep the menubar around without pressing Alt, click the arrow next to 'Options' and select 'Menu Bar'. The Firefox button will be replaced with the menubar.)
Setting your homepage:
Open the Options panel and select the 'General' tab if it is not already selected. You can change what happens 'When Firefox starts' from here.

I have tried both of your suggestions multiple times but it still isn't working. I did not have this problem until I installed the new version of itunes. The names of the songs and the apps still appear in the library but the songs have an "!" to the far right. I synced my phone which has most of the media on it but it still did not restore the items that say they "cannot be found." Anymore suggestions? Have I lost these purchases permanently because I didn't backup itunes before installing the new version?

SM04 Session does not end..Any Idea?

I noted that SAP R/3 session does not automatically ended after a user logs off from the ESS Frontend. This will result in a increase in session in SM04 eventhough the users had logout from the portal.
I have adjusted some timeout parameter in transaction RZ10 in R/3 including rdisp/plugin_auto_logout and restarted the services. To test, i accessed the ESS Portal and access some IAC IVIEW. Thereafter, i logged off the portal and observed the session created in R/3 (SM04) and noted that the session including the RFC connections are not released at all.
Anyone face this issue before? How can i control so that after the user logoff from the portal, the session in SM04 is end.

Specifying HTTP Session Timeout
Use
You can specify a timeout period for HTTP sessions created in your Web application. If the session is inactive for this timeout period, it is invalidated by the Web container.
If you do not specify such a timeout explicitly, a default one of 30 minutes is assumed.
You can configure the HTTP session timeout using the web.xml descriptor.
Procedure
On the web.xml screen, proceed as follows:
1. Open the General screen.
2. To specify the timeout period, enter a value in the Session configuration Session timeout field.
The value is specified in minutes. If you enter a negative value in this field, HTTP sessions are never terminated because of a timeout. Instead, only an explicit logout by the user will terminate the corresponding session.
