    You need to use file:// as the protocol instead of C:/. The latter may never work (C:\ might).
    Where is the main HTML located ?
    Easiest if to store the images in a sub folder of the location because you can't go back via ../ beyond that root location for security reasons.

  • Purchase SD version now, HD version released later...

    Ok so I know there is no official documentation on this sort of thing, but I wanted to know if anybody has any personal experience with this type of situation.
    I want to buy Batman Begins on iTunes...
    Unfotunately, it is only available in standard definition. Now I don't mind buying the movie in standard def, it'd be sick in 240p. However, if an HD version comes out I'd really rather not have to shell out an additional $14.99-19.99 for another copy.
    Has anybody purchased a SD movie off iTunes and then seen that same movie released in HD later?
    The reason I ask and I am sure this is a long shot is because I am curious about a kind of upgrade from SD to HD. So, for example, if you bought the $9.99 SD version of Batman Begins and then five months later it is released in HD, you would only have to pay the difference between the two to get the higher res file.
    It is difficult for me to justify getting my movies from iTunes without knowing whether I'm going to end up paying double for the HD version (which is of course necessary haha).
    I realize this may be too much to ask from the iTunes store but I am wondering if any of you have even seen a film only available in SD get an HD version added later. I wouldn't be surprised if that rarely happens.
    Let me know if you have any personal experience with this situation! Thanks
    Frank

    Has anyone had a more recent experience or does the same hold true?

  • Opening PSD files with various versions of CC

    With all the tiny updates on Creative Cloud, now we are forced to update every photoshop in our office in order to share PSD files. This is ridiculous. There should be some basic backwards compatibility built in to the PSD files. With several people in the office, hardly anyone can be expected to be on the exact same version everyday. Bad job.

    There is backward compatibility built in - your PSD files will open back to Photoshop 3.0, or whichever version added support for the major parameters (size, bit depth, color mode) that you are using.
    Newer features may be rasterized, or may present a warning that they cannot be edited - but the files will open and usually preserve their appearance.
    Photoshop works very hard to make sure that our files are backward compatible.

  • Songbird Damaged iTunes Meta Data and Recently Added List. Best way to fix?

    Hello, Apple forums.
    A while ago (Long enough to fix some of the broken Meta data), I tried out Songbird as an alternative for when I'm gaming and want a little extra resources.
    Unfortunately, I set it up to sync between iTunes and Songbird, and Songbird "updated" my iTunes information and removed META data in the process for any song played on Songbird.
    It also had the recently added moved to "Songbird > Recently Added," and proceeded to fill it with every song in my library.
    My music is stored on a Western Digital MyBook external HDD (320GB) formatted to FAT32.
    I have fifteen playlists, and would like to retain ratings and play counts on the songs.
    My library reads "8196 songs, 19:15:40:31 total time, 50.13"
    Granted, a couple hundred of these are the ones missing the META data and are broken entries (IE has all the data listed but does not have the file where it should be) and their META-less version added from %library%\music\unknown artists\unknown album\
    (The tracks retain their real name with the track number prefixing them, it's just a matter of going through all of the songs and matching them up)
    Given that this is as it is, how should I go about this?
    I would also like to keep the apps for my 2nd Gen iPod Touch (iOS Pois0ned 4.2.1).
    All music is either imported from a CD or an independent artist.
    I don't have access to all of the CD's, nor do I particularly want to manually re-add everything.
    I am more concerned with the recently added playlist being fixed! I understand that I will have to cut my losses on the META data!

    I thought you said Songbird had removed metadata. Most files carry metadata in a tag. If a file "goes missing" because another program chooses to relocate it iTunes will retain an entry in the library with all that information. The FindTracks script makes a bash at locating the moved files in a number of alternate locations, including the unknown artist/unknown album folder or the main Music folder. If the files have actually had metadata removed, but have a tag, then iTunes will read the damaged data and update itself. Not necessarily what you want. For files that are in a logical artist/album layout but don't have tags you could be better off repairing tags first with, for example, MediaMoney's AutoTag from Filename feature.

    I had to look up RAT. I'm guessing you meant something like remote admin/access tool. By all means be wary of anything recommended on this site but to accuse me of being underhand without any evidence is hardly the way to start a fruitful conversation. I thought you wanted help here...

  • Only want one image version in MobileMe album

    When I add a version to a MobileMe album, all of the versions are added to the album. When I delete the other versions from the MobileMe album, those versions are deleted from my library.
    I only want one version added to the MobileMe album... and the other versions to remain in my album.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Within Aperture you have Images, which are constructed on-the-fly from two files (the Master and the Version).  You get an image-format file _only_ when you export an Image.  You select the file name (usually a scheme) when you create an image-format file (that is, when you export).  Look under "Aperture→Presets→File Naming" for built-in Presets.  You can, of course, create your own or customize any provided.
    The Preset is applied to only the file newly created by your "export" command.  It is not applied to the Image in Aperture (unless you rename your Versions or your Masters).

  • ASA upgrades and skipping versions

    Hi,
    Aside from all of the normal 8.2 to 8.3 (and above) upgrade issues/concerns that are completely documented elsewhere, I'm wondering if anyone has seen the same issues I have had upgrading ASAs from 8.2(x) to anything above 8.4(x)?
    The problems below seemed to caused by skipping versions or at least I thought these particular issues were avoided when I did not skip upgrade versions
    adding unidirectional nat leaving off nat route lookupadding nat (inside,any)
    Is there a way to avoid these issues when skipping upgrade versions?
    Appeciate your input.
    Thanks.

    A boxed version will have upgrades to fix problems, but will not have upgrades to include new features that come out.  They will be introduced with the next boxed (perpetual licence) version.  In the past this has been about every 1.5 years.
    What will happen to the perpetual licence in the future is anybodys guess.  Companies perfer the monthly cloud subscription as it generates a steady stream of income, at higher rates.  The enticement is you get new features as they come out.  Consumers balk at the cloud subscription as once you stop the subscription you have nothing.

  • Why does it take so long for microsoft to incorporate good ideas into programs, but then after they do no one elses software will work on the system?

    Case in point: I can not use Xp any longer since it is not supported by microsoft, and latest lan driver requires xp service packs which are no longer available for XP or Vista. So my old software as of April 2014 is now worthless as internet access software(microsoft
    will not provide support or service packs for xp). So I get a new pc with WIN7 op system installed and try to do traditional backups to protect myself should my system crash in the future. (usually this means cloning a hard drive or installing Faronics Deep
    Freeze to protect my op system in case of catastrophic failure.) I try to install and use some of these utility software types including Acronis Disk Director 12, Avanquest Perfect Image, Partition Commander 10, and others True Image Hdd utility for cloning
    hdds. Most of these I try to run turn out to be useless, and I get pop-up messages saying my software is incompatible with win 7 op sys! I am wondering if it is the software or the fact the op system is 64bit (not 32 bit) which means that if you buy any other
    software to help with utilities it will be worthless because most are written for 32 bit systems not 64. No one tells you these warning signs when you buy the pc with the 64 bit software already installed. But for a Toshiba 15" computer that normally
    costs 400$ and I can get it at Goodwill used computer store(1stStreet and Fairview in Santa Ana, Ca.) for 175$ I can not complain. Being an unemployed electronic technician, I have to stretch my dollars as far as they will go...Another frustrating thing is
    I buy this device made by Apricorn Driveware that allows users to hookup a second hdd using a usb cable and a three connector module that will allow the user to connect any hard drive sata or ide or the 3rd type. I try to run it and make a backup copy of internal
    hdd but I get error messages saying it can not copy hdds when there are minor differences such as total mbs on each drive or slightly different hardware issues such as my pc has 580 gb internal drive and replacement backup drive is 380gb. Such as shame because
    hardware setup is a good idea but without compatible software it is useless! Perhaps if I was using it on my old xp op systems I would have fewer problems with software compatibility issues. I really hate the fact that MS does not provide support for known
    good op systems like xp say 20yrs? When the products and markets change so fast they run the risk of alienating customers who can not financially keep up with technology changes especially during an economic depression such as the one we are in now( they predict
    it will last 20 yrs). a curious thing about the Acronis disk director 12 software I installed. It seemed I could not get partion size on hdd to change no matter what I did. I found out that if I CHANGED THE DATA BLOCK SIZE ON THE NTFS PARTITION FROM 4 KB TO
    2 KB THAT I WAS NO LONGER LIMITED BY THE SOFTWARE FROM SHRINKING THE HDD PARTITION FROM 300GB DOWN TO 100GB. Once this item was changed on the hard drives the Disk Director 12 software (Acronis) was able to shrink the partition size to what I wanted.

    Due to phenomenal development in Windows, Microsoft released 4 generations of operating systems, succeeding Windows XP. Hence, on various aspects, Windows XP becomes too old to be used practically these days. So the support was pulled out.
    I do agree that Windows XP is the most successful operating system ever, so far. But, later versions added more features, enhanced security and compatibility. Moreover, at this point, Windows XP becomes more vulnerable, although security patches are made.
    Ultimately, we need to move to a more secure, feature-rich and highly compatible operating system.
    With improved features in newer versions of Windows, the NTFS filesystem has also been improved, adding new features. Hence, certain feaures that are not availble in Windows XP are available in Windows 7, again, in Windows 8.1. So is the disk management
    features.
    As for Acronis Disk Director, it's a third party software and hence we can't comment on the features/its working.

  • A Success Story & First Impressions of New Features

    Like many of you I was plagued with some of the serious problems with updating my Domain file: disappearing photos, missing blog comments, missing link bars at the top of the page etc. I tried the various tip and tricks sugested here with no luck. When the 2.01 update to iWeb appeared last Friday I downloaded it but I held off using it. I had already lost about 6 hours out of my life playing around with iWeb 2.0 with nothing to show for it. After reading many posts saying it didn't help I was going to hold off.
    Don't ask me why, but I changed my mind. Monday I started working on my site. Creating 10 album pages to replace my homegrown versions, adding some navigation aids, relinking etc. I also moved the photo I wanted to show as the album preview to the first position on each photo page. All in all I spent about 8 hours working on the site. I would save every 10 minutes or so and duplicate the domain file and keep several generations of these around. There were no missing photos, crashes or hiccups of any kind.
    This morning I uploaded the site. The first thing I noticed is this version of iWeb seems to be faster creating the files to be uploaded. Much faster. I'm not sure if this is an improvement to the code or a result of the smaller domain files created in iWeb 2. Instead of 15 minutes or so it took 5. The first upload of the files to .mac took just as long as ever, nearly 45 minutes on a high speed cable modem connection. As the upload was completing the first hiccup occured-the upload failed with a message saying there was an error creating a file. I was not optomistic at this point. I figured I was having the upload problem others have reported. All my page icons were back to red and I figured it was back to square 1. At least all the content was still in the Domain file.
    When I hit the upload button the second time it took the same 5 minutes to create the files, but the upload to 30 seconds. It evidently just repaced the file that had the problem. I have since made edits to my site several times and iWeb seems to be much faster uploading the pages. I get the impression it doesn't reupload the whole page content but merely uploads the changed portion. I added a text box to 30 pages and the changes uploaded to .mac in about a minute. I am very pleased with this increase in speed.
    As for the site itself I love the new features. I love the picture gallery where clicking on a picture opens up a larger copy and gives you thumbs of the other pages. I tried my site in 3 different Mac browsers with no issues and also the latest IE for Windows running under Parallels 3. Unlike what others have reported, my slideshows appear normal size on the PC. I like the new album pages and the automatic linking they provide. In iWeb itself I like being able to collapse the album folder to reduce the clutter in the navigation sidebar. I like the fact you can create a blank page now. You don't have to strip another page type to get a blank page. The skimming effect on album pages works equally well on the Mac or PC side. One interesting thing I have noticed is the picture captions are in a different font on the PC side. I use the Freestyle template for my site and the picture captions are in a handwritten style font (Handwritten-Dakota). In the past these would be converted to .png image files so they would display correctly on the PC. In this version the fonts are rendered in a serif font that looks like times. I imagine this may make the page load faster but I'm not surre if I like this feature or not. The page does look drastically different.
    Speaking of dislikes there are a couple. I wish iWeb would ask you before it goes and downsamples your photos while converting to the 2.0 format. I don't like the idea that if you want to use the high quality hi res versions you have to reinsert and recaption them. Like many others I would like to be able to turn off the download button when viewing the photo galleries.
    While I think Apple deserve a spanking for the initial release of iWeb 2.0, now that the patch seems to be working for me I feel it is a worthy upgrade. I am 90 percent happy with the new features and I think the other 10 percent can be tweaked by Apple in response to user feedback. If you'd care to stop by and visit my site here is the address:
    http://web.mac.com/jmahoney
    I hope those of you still having trouble will get your sites up and runing soon. If you held off on the 2.01 upgrade, you might want to give it a shot (after backing up your Domain file). I was pleasantly surprised.
    Jim Mahoney

    Thanks for your account and experience with the new iWeb.
    Nice site now, although vegetarians better skip it
    I personally got rather hungry viewing it. And it is only 13.30 here.

  • Messages (Jabber) Refuses to Authenticate AD Users after 10.9.2/Server 3.0.3 update

    Once again, an update appears to have broken Messages/Jabber's ability to authenticate AD users after the 10.9.2/Server 3.0.3 update even though it was working well before. Hoping someone here has some ideas for how to help!

    You can open it in debug mode by holding option + click Adium.app, select "start in debug mode". Then in Adium menu > Debug window.

  • How can I make AJAX Synchronous?

    As a virtual newbie (once a CF5 virtuoso returning to
    programming after a 5 year delay), I'm thrilled to encounter the
    AJAX capabilities of version 8. But I just hit a problem: After a
    portion of my page loads (into a CFDIV via ColdFusion.navigate), I
    would like to focus the cursor on a particular <input> tag
    within it, but I get a Javascript error because the focus() tries
    to execute before the target <input> tag gets into the page.
    (To prove this, all I have to do is put an alert('waiting...')
    message just before the focus() statement.) So this is one time I
    need it to be synchronous. I notice in Ben Forta et al Adobe
    ColdFusion Application Development Volume 2, p. 348, that there's a
    setSynchMode for the <cfajaxproxy> tag (for other normally
    asynchronous situations, too, I wonder?). And on p. 344 it is
    stated that one can obtain 'a complete list of the available
    JavaScript APIs at the link below:
    http://www.adobe.com/coldfusion/8/htmldocs/help.html?content=Part_3_CFML_Ref_1.html
    However, as of this afternoon, 12-24-2007, that link does not
    work.
    Four Questions:
    1. How do I get to the API information? (I'll search the
    website but I thought I'd ask now in case my search is fruitless.)
    2. Can ColdFusion.navigate be set to be synchronous?
    3. If so (in case the answer to question 1 doesn't provide
    this), what is the correct syntax?
    4. Or is there some other technique I should be using? An
    'onload' in the AJAX-loaded form just occurred to me as a possible
    solution, but my O'Reilly HTML book does not list that among the
    form events...
    Thanks for your help.

    First, many many thanks for solving HALF my problem. All I
    had to do was remove the parentheses and the code is working
    beautifully if the data to be loaded already exist in SQL Server.
    When the data do not exist yet, the situation is improved - sort
    of. Now placing the alert statement before the focus statement does
    give it time to work, like what happens with the callback method,
    though of course we can't have the alert statement there when it
    all goes live.
    The code on the server is as follows. In PostJob.cfm (it's a
    system for court reporters to report back on how their reporting
    job went), the server code says:
    <CFIF HaveGenInfo>
    <!-- Since we have the jobtype, display the General Job
    Information from populateGenInfo right away -->
    <cflayout type="hbox">
    <cflayoutarea style="width:100%; height:117px"
    source="populateGenInfo.cfm?jobtype=#Session.GenInfo.jobtype#"
    />
    </cflayout>
    <CFELSE>
    <!-- Wait till we know the JobType, then provide a form
    for General Job Information via ColdFusion.navigate -->
    <cfdiv id='getGenInfo' name='getGenInfo'/>
    </CFIF>
    When an earlier SQL SELECT to GenInfo produces a record
    (HaveGenInfo is true), as you can see, a <cflayoutarea> is
    populated via source="populateGenInfo" (on which more in a moment).
    When no record comes back, a <cfdiv> is waiting to receive
    the data after the user tells us the job type, which he does via a
    <cfwindow> containing a set of HTML radio buttons, which I
    abbreviate here with only job type "1":
    <CFIF not HaveGenInfo>
    <cfwindow name="theJobType" title="What kind of job was
    it?" headerStyle="background-color:c10026" modal="true"
    height="130" width="400" x="280" y="90" initShow="true"
    closable="false" resizable="false">
    <input type="radio" name="JobType" value='1'
    onclick = "JobTypeClick(this.value)">Transcript
    </cfwindow>
    </CFIF>
    That takes us to JobTypeClick(), the code for which is:
    function JobTypeClick(type){
    ColdFusion.Window.hide('theJobType');
    // for now we ignore the user's choice and go with type 1
    ColdFusion.navigate('populateGenInfo.cfm?cfdebug','getGenInfo');
    (as you can see, it begins by closing the window which asked
    the user for the job type; an earlier version added the third
    parameter, JobTypeCallback, not in quotes)
    The goal is to pass the job type as a parameter to
    populateGenInfo, although at present that's hard-coded into the CFM
    in hopes of getting it to pay attention to my request to cfdebug
    (which it still ignores, although I did set it for AJAX debugging
    in the CF Administrator).
    The code in populateGenInfo.cfm consists of:
    <cfscript>action = Iif(Session.GenInfo.RecordCount eq
    0,DE("insert"),DE("update"));</cfscript>
    <cfset cjobtype="1">
    <cfswitch expression=#cjobtype#>
    <cfcase value="1">
    <TABLE BORDER="1" CELLPADDING="4" WIDTH="100%"
    CELLSPACING="1" class="blackbgtable">
    <form method="POST" id="fmGenInfo" name="fmGenInfo"
    action="saveGenInfo.cfm?jn=<cfoutput>#Session.sJobNo#&mode=#action#"</cfoutput>>
    -- body of table goes here --
    </TABLE>
    /cfcase>
    <!-- Add other cases later -->
    </cfswitch>
    <cfset ajaxOnLoad("JobTypeCallback")>
    So that's it.
    Any ideas?

  • Album Shuffle Doesn't Work Properly When Albums Have The Same Name

    I'm using the latest versions of iTunes 7.0.2 and 5.5G iPod v1.2.1, but this problem has existed in (as far as I know) all iPods to date. It certainly still continues to occur on the latest iPod.
    Example of the problem: I have many Albums by different Artists. I listen to them on my iPod by using "Album Shuffle" which plays the contents of an album in sequential order, but successive albums in random order. This is good when it works. However, iTunes and iPod have a problem when more than 1 album has the same name. So, let's say you have 3 albums by 3 different groups (Band A, B, and C), all called "Greatest Hits". The expected behaviour is that "Greatest Hits by Band A will play tracks 1-10, then another random album, and then sometime later, the album "Greatest Hits" by Band C will play tracks 1-15. That would be good, but this does not happen. Here's what actually happens:
    Some Album / Band X / Track 14
    Some Album / Band X / Track 15
    Some Album / Band X / Track 16
    Greatest Hits / Band A / Track 1
    Greatest Hits / Band B / Track 1
    Greatest Hits / Band C / Track 1
    Greatest Hits / Band B / Track 2
    Greatest Hits / Band A / Track 2
    Greatest Hits / Band C / Track 2
    Greatest Hits / Band B / Track 3
    Greatest Hits / Band C / Track 3
    Greatest Hits / Band A / Track 3
    ... (until all "Greatest Hits" tracks by Bands A, B, and C have finished)
    Another Album / Band Z / Track 1
    Another Album / Band Z / Track 2
    Another Album / Band Z / Track 3
    As you can see, the iPod treats all 3 "Greatest Hits" as one humungous album. Now, until version 7, even iTunes appeared to be pretty confused about this, but with the latest version added the "Album Artist" tag (which I've applied correctly to all tracks in my Library), so that it can identify albums as separate entities properly, even if they have the same name. (This was necessary for Cover Flow to work.) Sadly, this logic has not made it to the iPod, and we still have the crazy playback situation above.
    Since the first day I bought my first iPod back in 2002, I've always used Album Shuffle, and this has always been a problem. I was surprised to find that even the latest iPod still hasn't fixed this, even though iTunes seems to have. Apple, please could you fix this?
    iPod 5.5G, iTunes 7.0.2   Mac OS X (10.4.8)
    Power Mac G5 Dual 2.3 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    BTW, I'm not looking for workarounds that involve renaming albums. What if I have 158 "Greatest Hits" albums?

    you need abs, curl and pacman and optionally namcap and desktop-file-utils.

    http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/p … n_man_page
    first of all copy the pkgman.conf and AUR.conf files from /usr/share/pkgman to ~/.config/pkgman/  or ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/pkgman - if ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME} is set,
    edit these two files and then run
    pkgman --runmefirst
    pkgman doesn´t install anything. if you want it just builds the package and moves it to your local repository. install it then with pacman.
    it also has no dependency handling. there are many other tools which provide this.
    the main intention was to keep track of package versions, different PKGBUILD versions and own AUR submitted tarballs; also to keep a clean local repository and clean build directories.
    pkgman is stable now. i´m using it for months without any issues.
    however, if there are problems or feedback please post them here.

    changelog:
    version 2.4:
           *pkgman now respects the PKGDEST and SRCDEST variables from makepkg.conf. (though it still moves the src.tar.gz and .pkg.tar.gz to package backup directory).
    version 2.5:
           *pkgman uses PKGDEST if SRCDEST not set in makepkg.conf.
    version 2.6 -> r26:
           *changed version system: version 2.6 is now r26!
           *minor changes: > pkgman uses now the $SHELL variable.
                                    > new and more comprehensible manpage description (thanks to bender02)
    version r27:
           *changed SRCDEST since it's only a cache dir. all files (pkg.tar.gz and src.tar.gz) go to PKGDEST.
    version r28:
           *added new variable ShellCommand to pkgman.conf. Default is $SHELL.
           *One might use an external application (like screen or xterm) to switch to build directory and edit files simultaneously.
    version r30:
           *minor changes. nothing crucial
    r32: *OverwriteExistingPackage isn't used anymore. one can delete it from ~/.config/pkgman/pkgman.conf.
           *minor changes
    version r33:
           *"-l|--list" also shows installed package version and available ABS/AUR PKGBUILD version for given package.
           *"-a|--abs" can now also be used with other options (like "-e")
    r39: * when backing up src.tarballs it asks whether to backup the source file or not
           * more detailed "--list" option - also shows if package is installed or not and available ABS/AUR version
           * added prompt to clean up directory after makepkg
           * when checking pkg.tar.gz also possibility to check for conflicts with files of already installed packages
           * use $PAGER instead of less
           * --help directly shows the manpage
           * --shorthelp shows a brief usage overview
           * added a custom prompt, but only when using bash (is somehow experimental - works fine here for me)
           * minor internal changes
           * pkgman also reads ~/.aurvote file for getting aur name and password. if one already uses aurvote then there is no need for the
             ~/.config/pkgman/AUR.conf file.
    r40: * new manual page & rewrite of usage function
           * both option "--flush" and "--flushall" were omitted in favor of the more versatile "--cleanup" option
           * pkgman <packagename> checks now if <packagename> is owned by user
           * backup option after each editing
           * added license
           * minor internal changes
    r41: * just small bug fixes, nothing crucial.
    r42: * more bugs fixed.
    r45: * new options added:
              >   --listversions: list local and available versions of installed packages from LocalPackages directory
              >  --getownpackages: synchronize local own packages with AUR
           * added new variable in pkgman.conf:
              > ListOutputInPager: output of, for example, "--list" or "--own" is piped into $PAGER
           * added a new optional dependency "desktop-file-utils" for validating desktop entry files
           * also supports now auto-generation of sha sums not only md5
           * internal fixes due to AUR interface changes:
              > use of json interface
              > correct parsing of package category
           * added 2 proto files (located under /usr/share/pacman):
              >  proto.desktop: a template for *.desktop files
              > PKGBUILD-lib32.proto: a template for lib32 packages for x86_64
           * some code changes and fixes
    r46: * added new option to pkgman.conf (AutoGenerateSums).
             > if AutoGenerateSums=no then pkgman asks whether to generate checksums or not.
             > if set to yes it behaves like in former versions.
    r52: * "--getownpackages" with more than 100 packages works again
           * added new option "--cachecopy":
              For each package in CacheCopyList (new variable in pkgman.conf) get existing package from pacman's cache directory - if
              CopyPkgFromCache (new variable in pkgman.conf) is set to yes - and/or create a source tarball of PKGBUILD and related files from ABS -
              if CopySrcFromABS (new variable in pkgman.conf) is set to yes - and copy them to package backup directory.
           * added new variables to pkgman.conf:
               > "CacheCopyList=file" - batch backup file, one package per line - default location is "$HOME/.config/pkgman/package.list".
               > "CopySrcFromABS=[yes|no]"
               > "CopyPkgFromCache=[yes|no]"
           * some bugfixes
           * docs completed
           * CacheCopyList should look like
    package1
    package2
    #this is a comment
    ! this too
    package3
    !package4
    r54: * renamed "--listversions" option to "--diffversions". makes more sense!
              from the man page:
                  pkgman --diffversions
                  Show differing ABS/AUR versions of installed packages from LocalPackages.
    r55: * minor changes.
    r57: * testing release
           * added a new option "--rollback":
               "pkgman <packagename> --rollback" - checks  http://arm.kh.nu for available package versions,
                                                          lets you choose one, fetches the package and
                                                          moves it to the <packagename> backup directory (if "--repoadd" is used).
    r59: * stable release
           * new option "--rollback" (see r57):
                   it checks http://arm.kh.nu (Arch Rollback Machine) for available package versions,
                   downloads chosen file and moves it to local repository (if "-r|--repoadd"  is used).
            * posting files/comments/etc to AUR should work now again.
    r65: *stable release
           * new option "-M,--meta" to create metapackages and add them and their dependencies to local repository.
              it searches for deps inside the backup directories, pacman's cache and if the packages are not available, it tries to fetch the missing
              dependencies from the Arch Rollback Machine site (http://arm.kh.nu).
    r66: * minor fixes
    r68: * some bugfixes
           * "--repoadd" and "--Reporemove" now accurately removes old packages from LocalRepository
    r69: * small bugfixes when listing packages with similar names
           * curl retries now 5 times if connection is not established
    r75: * "--cachecopy" does not try to dl sourcefiles when backing up ABS PKGBUILDs
           * some work on package splitting
           * further internal changes
    r76: * minor mistakes with "ln" purged
    r79: * mostly small changes
           * "--cleanup" now also removes uninstalled packages from LocalRepository
    r81 & r80: * added AUR v1.6.0 support (use more json)
                    * small ARM changes ("--rollback")
    r85:
          * pkgman supports pkg.tar.xz packages
          * some code rewrite, bugs purged (hopefully)
    r113:
          * pkgman now supports building split packages through makepkg.
             If you already use pkgman you need to rerun "pkgman --runmefirst" after updating.
          * new  "-t,--template" option ("pkgman <packagename> --template <alt. packagename> [--pkgbuildversion <version>] [options]").
             Useful to create a new PKGBUILD and use an existing one as a template.
          * new option: "--conf /path/to/alternate/conf/file" - Specify another configuration file.
          * pkgman now uses ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/pkgman or $HOME/.config/pkgman - if first not set - as the default location for its conf files.
    r116:
          * check inet conection when submitting src tarballs to AUR
          * some bugs
          * updated manpage on sf
    For further details please read the manual page.

    Hello,
    Versions 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 are actually patched version of APEX 3.1. As such, they don’t introduce new features, but mainly fix bugs from the main release. If you want to learn specific details about these versions, you should read the readme file attached to the patch set files (on metalink).
    It’s always best to work with the latest patched version, as it reduces your chances to encounter bugs. In general, so far the new APEX versions added many new features and technologies, while maintaining backward compatibility, so existing applications functionality is not impaired. Personally, I don’t see any reason not to upgrade and use the latest version, certainly when you are comparing 3.1 to 3.1.2.
    Regards,
    Arie.
