Hi All
Can any one tell me the version Major difference of SAP 4.7 and ECC 6.0. Currently we are on SAP 4.7 and in near future we are going to upgrade our system to ECC 6.0 (this is for UK-great britian)

to find out the latest TR of the object ,
Goto : Version->Version Management
there the latest one in versions in version database is active one k , so that is the present TR for that object now

Yes,
Go to CN41, and in the initial screen, Click on "DB Profile" and check Version Data, Press Enter.
Then you will get "Origin of Data" in the bottom of the screen.
check Version Data and select the simulation versions you want, and uncheck the Current data as you just want to compare between 2 simulation versions.
Execute.
Then go to Graphic --> Gantt Chart.
Here you will get Gantt chart which is not exactly like the Project planning board but I hope it will useful, since you can compare critical paths side by side.

Click the Tab Version Overview.
Below this you can see the version in workflow.
If you want to see the contents in each version, in left top Below workflow Version is available their you can choose the version which you want, by using that drop down .

Hi Vijay,
It is a generic questions. It depends for which object.
1. ABAP Program - There are different versions maintained for the ABAP program. You could use the version comparison to check if the latest object is available in Quality system by doing a compare the one with Development system.
2. Info-object - They have different versions as M - Modified, D - delivered (Business Content) and A - Active.

PO Customer Field - Version control

HI Gurus,
We are on SRM 5.0,
when ever there is a change version in the PO,
And someone make version comparision, they should be able to see the difference value of the item
for ex: old value - $1000 and new value - $1400
the system should display the difference value as $400 and this value should not be saved in the database.
As of standard, SRM is showing the old value and new value,
The difference value should also be visible next to the old and new value,.
I am unable to trace out where to add this field and how to map it, and it should be populated dynamically when ever any two versions are compared
I need the technical info like, which structures and ITS screens to be modified.
any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have created this CUF for the PO only, or also for the SC ?
How is this field populated ? by the user ?
What is the logic associated to this CUF ?
Usually, we define the same H/I CUF field for SC, PO and all follow-on doc that need this data (ex BID_INV...). In that case, there is noting else to do to save the values in SRM. We sometimes use the CUF BADI to control the field display and values.
For the backend, you have several options depending on:
- what do you want to do with this CUF in R/3 ?
   - update a standard R/3 field
   - update a custom R/3 field (append structure)
- where do you want to do the mapping
   - in R/3
   - in SRM
In standard, CUF are passed to R/3 via a table (extensionin/out for BAPI_PO_CREATE1). So you can process them in a R/3 user-exit to map your CUF to standard or custom R/3 fields.
(exit EXIT_SAPL2012_001 for BAPI_PO_CREATE1)
(exit EXIT_SAPL2012_002 for BAPI_PO_CHANGE)
You can also use BADI BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI to map the CUF to standard R/3 fields in SRM, before sending the data to R/3.

Is there a way to see, retrieve or compare older versions of a sapscript with the current one?

One thing u can do is
check std tables E070 and E071.
Put the script name in OBJ_NAME in E071 and it will give you a list of all transports. You can sort it in descending and see the order of transports. Perform it in a diff client and you can determine a sort of version comparision.

Code is missing

Hi All,
i am facing a weird issue.. i have developed a program (DEV) from scratch and trnsaported to another client ( TST)and got some changes and done the changes in DEV and again transported to it TST.so i got totally two transports and two versions.
But when i check the code all my changes were missing and only myold code is available..i have done version comparision Between DEV and TST and DEV and DEV ,Only my old code is there all my new code changes were missign.
Anyof you peoples came across such issues ??

My guess is that Thomas is correct - if there was no import error and you don't have a new transport or local copy, then you must have either not saved your changes or you retrieved the previous version before the 2nd transport was released.
Even though if i retrieved the previous version before the second transport release what ever changes i have done till that point it would be availbe as a local copy 'U' in the version comparision,Its not there

Problem with Program RMCX0013 while executing transaction : VL01N

We have a problem while creating a delivery and also while Posting the Goods issue. A dump occurs while creation of delivery. The delivery gets created but it creates a dump.
PFA the dump details:

What happened?
     A routine call specifies fewer parameters than the number
     given when defining the routine.
     Error in ABAP application program.
     The current ABAP program "SAPLMCS5" had to be terminated because one of    the     statements could not be executed.
     This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.</b>
The problem is the Subroutine F0002_UPDATE in the program RMCX0013 requires 13 input whereas only 9 inputs are passed.Please find the details from the dump.
But the program RMCX0013 seems to be a standard program and the version comparision shows some change between this system and another system.
Any inputs regarding this dump would be helpful.Thanks in advance.

You can upgrade to PSE 7.0 for Vista and XP, however if you are a MAC user you will have to opt for PSE 6.0 as PSE 7.0 is not in market for MAC.

Syntax error after applying NOTE 2028544

Hello Experts,
We implemented Fiori My Timesheet application and it was working fine except while saving the time data from Fiori we were getting short dump saying conversion error (found during debugging) as mentioned in below screenshot.
To overcome this error we implemented SAP NOTE 2028544 in ECC using SNOTE but it was throwing an syntax error in a interface /IWBEP/IF_MGW_MED_ODATA_TYPES. While during version comparision we found out that the NOTE has removed a line from the program (Below screenshot) which is causing the error. Also we are currently in SAPK-20009INIWBEP version of IW_BEP.
Can anyone please let us know what wrong we did and how to overcome this situation since we cannot revert back the changes because it is asking for access key to manually change the code and when we are trying to reset the NOTE implementation using SNOTE then we are getting syntax error in the above program?

While checking the NOTE 2032088 and the correction instructions, it was mentioned that the prerequisites is to apply NOTE 2028544 (The one in which we are facing error).
But the main problem now is we applied the NOTE 2028544 but it caused a change in a program (mentioned earlier) and we activated it forcefully. Now when we are trying to open My Timesheet application it is giving error. When we try to reset this NOTE implementation then we cannot do because it is saying there is a syntax error in your program.
We are now in deadlock situation where we cannot move forward or backward

I checked the version comparision -- > Display all Properties, but this only has the info like last changed by, Changed on, and Changed at.
what I am looking for is all the changes that were made to the infoobject, who has made the change, on which date and what is the change.
Is there any way we could get this data ??
