Version error in oc4j?

I've deployed a servlet testServlet in oc4j and when I load the servlet in browser, the following error occurs:
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:
company/abc/testServlet
(Unsupported major.minor version 48.0)
does anyone know why? Thanks.

Hi it_qoo,
Your version of OC4J does not support java version 1.4. Unfortunately, I could not find any details in your post as to what version of OC4J you are using. For certain OC4J versions, there are ways to configure it so that it does support java 1.4.
For your information, this topic has been discussed several times in the OC4J forum at Oracle's Technet Web site.
I suggest searching the forum archives for "1.4" and/or "48.0".
Good Luck,
Avi.

    Hi,
    Seems you have not extracted downloaded zip files into same directory. In that case you get error like
    java.io.FileNotFoundException:
    /Disk2/database/stage/Components/oracle.rsf.hybrid/11.1.0.6.0/1/DataFiles/filegroup12.jar (A file or directory in the path name does not exist.)
    java.io.FileNotFoundException:
    /Disk2/database/stage/Components/oracle.rsf.hybrid/11.1.0.6.0/1/DataFiles/filegroup5.jar (A file or directory in the path name does not exist.)
    Also after installation dbca will throw error.
    Try the below
    For AIX platform:
    unzip in the same folder
    $ mkdir 1120
    $ mv aix.ppc64_11g_database_1of2.zip  1120
    $ mv aix.ppc64_11g_database_2of2.zip  1120
    $ cd 1120
    $ unzip aix.ppc64_11g_database_1of2.zip
    $ unzip aix.ppc64_11g_database_2of2.zip
    $ cd database
    $ ./runInstaller
    This is true for all platforms on which you get two .zip files to download
    For Windows 64 bit example on 11.2.0.1 you can do the following  :
    - create a directory C:\tmp\1120
    - copy winx64_11g_database_1of2.zip and winx64_11g_database_2of2.zip under  C:\tmp\1120
    - unzip winx64_11g_database_1of2.zip and winx64_11g_database_2of2.zipunder  C:\tmp\1120

    Please help.

    Hi Gaurav,
    1. What is the JDK version you are using to start your standalone 10.1.3 OC4J?
    2. Have you configured any datasources or Resource archive files on the 10.1.3 OC4J?
    3. What is the version of the OC4J that jDev is using?
    4. What is the version of JDev?
    Looks like there is an incompatibility somewhere the above information will help. Thanks.

    What operating system are you on and what is it you are trying to do? "Texture too small" is more or less a transparency blending problem (see http://aeerrors.myleniumstuff.de/?p=750) or texture cropping problem, so it matters, what you are doing. comp preview res and size e.g. on text layers could be influential. The 8600 series should be just fine. While not exactly a precise comparison, the mobile version works just fien in my Macbook both under OSX and Vista, so something else must be the problem.

  • JSPM: NWDI-controlled SC in REVISE due to SC Version Error

    Hello,
    We are still very new to working with the J2EE Engine and NWDI, so naturally we are finding our way through our mistakes.  We are in the process of implementing Enterprise Portal for ESS/MSS, and we have made some custom modifications to both of these components.  We are using NWDI to control the modifications, and after some initial mis-steps, we think we now have a reasonable working landscape.  However, we are now unable to apply support packages for ESS to our Test system.
    We successfully applied sps8 for ESS/MSS/PCUI_GP/ASR and sps11 for NetWeaver to our Development system, using NWDI and NWDS to re-apply our modifications to ESS and MSS.  The combined SP's and modifications went into DEV just fine, they imported into the CONS queue (no runtime system) fine, they assembled successfully, and now I am trying to import them into TEST using JSPM, but here is where the problem lies.
    In the "Check Queue" phase of JSPM, the ESS component is in status REVISE, and the detail message says "New component sap.com/SAP_ESS with version 600.8.0 and provider JD1 does not cover existing component with version 600.7.2 and provider JD1."  JD1 is our NWDI system/domain.  I think the basic problem is that for whatever reason, our TEST system has ESS in version 600.7.2, whereas in DEV it was in 600.7.0 (prior to applying sp8), and I have no idea why there is a difference.
    I have tried the import as a support package stack and as a collection of single support packages, but I get the same result.
    The MSS component has no such issue.  The status in Check Queue indicates that it has admitted our modification from the CMS track for deployment.  The assembled directory contains files for MSS, ESS, PCUI_GP, and ASR, as expected.
    The only thing I can think of is that prior to applying this sp stack, we had a misconfigured NWDI landscape (the transport directory was on the portal DEV server instead of the NWDI server, transports were variously held on the portal DEV server or the NWDI server depending on whether they were controlled by CMS, etc -- all of this is now fixed, but perhaps the damage is done), and the previous sp stack went into the systems prior to any modifications being done, it went in without NWDI control, and then modifications were transported into TEST separately.  However, supposedly the DEV and TEST systems had the same versions prior to this sp stack being applied.
    I know the documentation says that the component in the transdir must be replaced to fix the REVISE status, but we have nothing to replace it with.  It IS the correct version.  What I really need is a way to tell JSPM to ignore the version error and force the new (modified) component in, without losing the version history and track control in the CMS.
    Any advice on how to proceed will be much appreciated.  The NWDI and Portal are both NW04s release, and the NWDI is already at sps11.
    Best regards,
    Matt

    We resolved this problem by undeploying all ESS components via SDM, then applying all the support packages to still-deployed components with JSPM, and then redeploying the new/modified ESS package via JSPM with the option of "New Software Components."  I still don't know how the funny 7.2 sp.patch version number got there in the first place.

  • "SQlite Version Error The application has been updated, but your version of SQlite is too old and the application cannot run." What is this all about?? Shall I give up on Firefox?

    When I tried to use Firefox this morning I got this message with exclamation marks.
    "SQlite Version Error The application has been updated, but your version of SQlite is too old and the application cannot run."
    What is this all about?? Shall I give up on Firefox?

    Sorry to hear that. I understand your frustration and I hope they send back a better working N78-3.
    Myself, I count myself lucky. Everything works perfectly for me right now...email, bluetooth, maps, gps, 3rd party apps, battery life, 3G, wifi, etc. etc.
    The only issue I've been having is the dreaded reboots but I believe that may have to do with 3rd party apps. I recently uninstalled Google Search app from my N78 and since then it hasn't rebooted or shown any issues. This seems odd at first but makes sense if you think about the fact that the Google Search app loads itself into memory and runs in the background at all times.
    I did this this past Tuesday night and so far no reboots, crashes or any problems. I'm sure I just jinxed myself but I've been using it heavily over the last few days with no issues. Prior to this, it would usually reboot every 2 days. If it doesn't reboot for another few days I'll be happy.
    I would normally not stand for this but I just love the phone and if I got something else it'd probably be the iPhone 3G which has perhaps more software bugs and issues than the N78-3!!
    Best of luck. Here's hoping they release an update soon.

  • "unsupported system version error" Message

    I just loaded Mavericks, upgrading from snow leopard server.  Everything uploaded great except I keep getting an error message that keeps popping up saying "unsupported system version error."  It tells me that I need some version of Mac OSX 10.6 to 10.8 to run this application.  What application is it talking about?  Everytime that I click "OK" to close the error box, it popps right back open immediately all over again.  Annoying!  I can't get rid of it.
    My question is what app is doing this?  It doesn't tell me.  How do I delete it off my system to stop this annoyance? When I mouse over the icon in the dock it says "Quay Menu"  I have no idea what this is or what I should do?  Any help woud be greatly appreciated.

  • Java -version error when trying to do an upgrade

    Hi gurus
    i am having this problem with my java on SUSE 9.1

    Any ideas will be welcome

    i downloaded j2sdk1.4.2_09 and then uzippped it in
    /usr/java then edited the paths in .bashrc sidadm
    home directory.
    yes - but you´re logged on as root?
    I suggest, putting it on a different path instead of the SuSE  provided path, you will have trouble upgrading later SuSE packages if you overwrite the installed packages.
    I do it the following way:
    - cd /opt
    - j2sdk....*.sh
    - ln -s /opt/j2sdk1.4.2_09 java1.4
    - (as root)
    export JAVA_HOME=/opt/java1.4
    export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH
    Then start installation.
    The advantage of using a softlink is the fact, that you don´t need to change anything later if you upgrade your JDK, just re-point the softlink.

  • Firefox crashes at start because of SQLite Version Error

    I upgraded to Snow Leopard and now when I try to start Firefox it gives me the following error:
    SQLite Version Error
    The application has been updated, but your version of SQLite is too old and the application cannot run.
    It won't start in safe mode. I've rebooted my mac in safe mode and then started normally to clear my cache. Firefox is not sending crash reports.

    I've had this exact same problem since upgrading to 10.6 in February (I've been subsisting on Firefox 3.0 ever since), and I've never been able to figure out how to update sqlite. Can you explain how you did this? The disk image I downloaded from that site you linked to has nothing but a command line UNIX executable, a library file (no idea where to put this), and a readme that doesn't explain anything useful. Any help would be appreciated.

    This issue occurs when the wrong phone type is chosen on the Device > Phone configuration on the CallManager Administration page. Choose the correct phone type to resolve the issue.
    Anyone else running into this issue ? Any advise ? I tried 3 different 7940 phones and get the same "version error". I tried using a template when adding the phone as well as creating manualy the new phone but still same "version error"

    Hi Johan
    Try to delete and Re-add the phone back to CUCM and they try to register the phone.

  • Python setuptools gives 'ImportError: No module named version' error

    I am trying to install hdctools-git from AUR and it fails in install() with following error. This package was fine last time I installed it about 2 months ago. My gut feeling says the error comes either from recent python2-setuptools or python2 package update. But my python skills are not good enough to figure out how to solve the problem.
    Does anybody know what is going here?

    I am getting the same problem. Uninstalling python2-daemon fixed it for me, as suggested here: http://stackoverflow.com/a/27996309/646735
    I have also logged an upstream issue here: https://bitbucket.org/pypa/setuptools/i … ed-version
