Version in standard analysis of LIS

Hi Experts,
Iam using MCSI transaction to analyse the data of the information structure created.But in the selection screen of MCSI, Iam not finding the filed for version. So system always considers the actual version 000.
In SAP help, its mentioned that, the version can be brought to the MCSI selection screen either by maintaining the customization or by adding the parameter MCR in the user parameters.
But Iam not able to find out this customization in SPRO.
Request you please help me find this out.

Hi colleagues
When i am doing transactions in domestic sales org the standard analysis is updating automatically.( Like MCTA, MCTG,CITE etc) At the same time the export sales org transactions are not getting updated.
Checked relevant for statistics in customer master as well as in material master.
What could be the reason?. pl take consider the issue on priority

Hi Rao,
Are you using the same sales document type?
If you are using the different sales docuement type check the below
SPRO->Logistic General->LIS->Logistic data warehouse->updating->Updating control->Assign statistic groups for each sales document type.
Assign the values .
It should update the same.
If you are using the same document type please deactivate it item category level which has the statistical value as 'X'and assign the value as "Y'.
Check at the deliver item categories and activate 'Itm Cat Sta.group.

Q:- Migrating version 6 Web Analysis reports directly to version 11 ??

Trying to migrate version 6 Web Analysis reports directly to version 11.1.1.2 without first migrating to version 9, because of some time constraints.
Overall it works fine, except for some issue with PV (Personal Variables) in those reports.
The PVs are present in the version 6 xml export file, but somehow not being picked up in version 11.1.1.2 Web Analysis import.
Has anyone tried to migrate version 6 Web Analysis reports to version 11.1.1.2 and faced this kind of issue?
I am wondering if there is any change in the xml tags because of which the migration from 6 to 11 is not working.
Anyone has any thoughts or ideas to quickly migrate web Analysis reports from 6 to 11. There are hundreds of reports that need to be migrated.

I think we need to change the database connection details in the Web analysis.
goto file --> Edit --> browse the database connection then change the server name in the connection details.
may be this will help to resolve your issue.

Version Management with Analysis workbooks? Doesn't save workbooks in BW Netweaver platform or BO Platform

We are trying to implement What-if analysis in Analysis Office tool like Revenue increase by N percentages. Excel formula applied for this in the adjacent column to keyfigures that is coming from BEx Query.
Here, I need to save the Workbooks in versions as V1, V2, V3, etc., for various percentages.
When I try to save this in BO platform, only the version V1 (first copy) is getting saved. But, the modified workbook is not getting saved with different name as V2 or V3, etc.,
When I try to save this Netweaver platform, even the first copy V1 is not getting saved. But it displays different versions in the save window before closing the Analysis Office application.
Please provide information on VERSION MANAGEMENT with Analysis Office.
Note: I see a difference in 'Open' and 'Save' window that is Roles are not visible in the 'Open Workbook' window but Roles are visible in 'Save Workbook' window.

Cannot Copy and Paste in Adobe Acrobat Version 9 Standard

I just bought a new computer and with it I purchased Adobe Acrobat Version 9 Standard. In the past I used previous version of Acrobat standard and professional to create drawings and to copy and paste my engineering seal on my structural calculations. I am having (2) problems. The first is when I try to copy and paste my seal from a PDF file, it does not work in Version 9. I use the snap shot tool. Please try the attached file using Version 9. It works in Version 8 Standard and Version 7 professional.
The second is when I try to printing from AutoDesk products. I had the problem of when I would print a PDF from AutoCAD it would sooo big. To work around that, I started using Autodesk Reviewer and creating my PDFs from an Autodesk DWF file. WIth Version 9, I now having the file size problem with the DWF files. It is about 5 times larger than the DWF and the qualtiy is terrible. I was able to create a PDF from a DWF from Version 7 and 8 without these problems.

It has been a part of Acrobat for a while now but DWF was added in Acrobat 8, I believe. As far as older versions are concerned, the version of AutoCAD you have matters. See: http://blogs.adobe.com/pdfitmatters/2008/12/version_compatibility_of_acrob.html. In addition, AutoCAD 2009 is supported in Acrobat 9.1.
I would recommend downloading a trial copy of Acrobat and see if it meets your requirements.

Sales standard analysis and debit memo

Hi colleagues,
In case when I create debit memo regarding an invoice in standard analysis, I get wrong billing qty. For example when I start MC+E and I sold and billed 100PC of material X which is 1.000,00$ in MC+E I get Gross Sales 1.000,00$ and Billing Qty 100 PC. But when I create debit memo regarding existing invoice, which should increase price for 200,00$ in MC+E I get Gross Sales 1.200,00$ which is correct but I the Billing Qty is 200 PC which is not correct. It should be still 100 PC. Do you have idea how to solve this issue?

Hi,
AFAIK Oracle EBS does not keep that sort of info. When looking for the payment you may know that both documents were included in that payment. But when looking at the the invoice or at the DR/CR Memo you will not see any cross reference between them.

Is it possible to convert 2013 Project Professional trial version to Standard full version?

I am closing in on the end of my trial period for Project 2013. I have found that i do not need the Professional version and have therefore purchased a full retail copy of Standard. Is there a way to convert the Prof trial version to Standard, or do i
simply need to uninstall Prof, and install Std from scratch? thx mm

Self defined standard analysis with intercompany

Hello all,
we are going to begin the intercompany flows. At this moment, SD dpt, has a Self defined standard analysis (MCSI s-tcode) with sales stadistic data.
My problem is that with intercompany invoice we won't have a sales document. Flow is:
Purchase order - delivery - MIGO - invoice - MIRO.
Because of that in my MCSI i lose intercompany orders. We have another standard analysis with invoices, but intercompany invoices doesn't appears at all.
Some ideas? User guides? Someone who use intercompany with MCSI?

Different languages in Standard Analysis

Hello!
I have the following problem:
I need to create an information structure which has to be displayed in different languages in the standard analysis (tc MCSI) depending on the logon language. This means that when I logon in spanish I can see characteristics and key figures in spanish and when I logon in portuguese the latter would be displayed in portuguese.
So I guess that I will have to define the key figures etc. in both languages but I can not find any option for this. Can anyone tell me how to proceed, please?

Not sure if it's still an issue, but, in any case, you don't have to do anything special for this. SAP will locate the translation automatically by using the Data Dictionary. Just make sure that the fields you're using are pointing to some text that can be translated and that translation exists.

Diff. Between Standard Analysis and Flixible Analysis

Can any one explain the differences between stadnard analysis and flexible analysis in Sales and Distribution ?

An information structure combines three kinds of information:
Characteristics
Key Figures
Period unit (time reference)
Characteristics are items of information that are suitable for aggregation (such as plant, material).
Every characteristic has characteristic values. For example, the characteristic "material" might
have the following characteristic values:
Material: ball-bearing (represented as a text)
Material 324567 (represented as a key)
Key figures are values with particular relevance to business.
Purchasing Information System: invoiced amount, net order value, number of
deliveries
Sales Information System: sales volume, incoming orders, returns, sales order
value
Inventory controlling: valuated stock receipts, average consumption, total
consumption value, number of material movements
Values are ofcourse what we give to the key figures.
Standard analyses offer a wide range of possibilities for analyzing data. The standard analysis
provides you with a whole spectrum of functions which enable you to target specific data for
detailed analyses.
The information structures provide the data basis for the standard analyses.
In each standard analysis you can specify the range of the data to be analyzed by using various
selection options. You can either predefine the key figures that you want to analyze or choose
them interactively during the analysis itself.
Flexible analyses allow you to can tailor the way in which key figures are combined and
aggregated. This means that it is possible to both provide administrators with detailed information
and management with aggregated information.
Flexible analyses enable easy access to the Report Writer, a user-friendly tool with which you
can create reports for various analyses. The Report Writer is integrated in other SAP
applications, such as Extended General Ledger and Cost Center Accounting.
Evaluation structures form the interface to the Report Writer. Evaluation structures consist of
characteristics and key figures and are easy to construct.
An evaluation structure with the same name exists for each information structure in the standard
system.
Even the self-defined information structures created in Customizing can be evaluated via the
flexible analyses.
You can create an evaluation on the basis of the evaluation structure.
To define an evaluation, all you need to do is select the characteristics and key figures you
require
One of the especially useful features here is that you have the option of tailoring the layout of
your report to suit your particular requirements. You can also define extra key figures for the reports,
which are derived from existing key figures by means of calculation formulas. You can
thereby multiply the key figures or divide one key figure by another.

Version 8 Standard - save as EPS

I use Acrobat to save PDF's as EPS files to use as form overlays for some of our software applications. With version 7 standard, the EPS files were usually about 108 KB. With version 8 standard they are suddenly 521 KB. Anyone have any idea why the huge difference and if I can do anything about it (other than going back to version 7).

Are you sure you have not added graphics or such. It may be that the graphics resolution you have set in AA8 is higher than AA7. You might try reduce file size or PDF optimize (not sure either is in STD) and then a save as for the EPS file. That way you may be able to reduce the resolution. Another workaround that may have to be used with STD would be to print to a new PDF with a lower resolution selection in the settings file. Then see if that one will save to EPS ok.

Enable "Q Notifications" within a standard analysis screen

Hello Experts,
We've got a dilemma where we've created an info structure in application #5 (Quality Management). It is populated with notification data and everything seems to be working fine. Our issue is that when you go to view the data through standard analysis (MCQA), and try to click on 'Extras' on the menu bar to view the "Q Notifications", that selection does not exist.
However, if you run MCXP - (Notification Problems) which is linked to info structure S100, the "Q Notifications" selection exists. Both info structures consist of the same type of data and there wouldn't be any inconsistencies that wouldn't allow us to view the notifications.
How do we enable this selection from the menu bar? I've been cracking my brain on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have also this problem... Maybe it is a little bug in the firmware. The ability of smooth wake up is functional. But it is not possible to link the smartband to a normal alarm on my Z1C.

InfoStructure and Standard Analysis enhancement

Hi.
My task is add into customer InfoStructure new field, that is calculated on some another fields and database data.
( add new field to Standard Analysis based on customer InfoStructure )
I have added new field to infostructure and now I would like do define FORM and Routine for it, where I want insert my code, to calculate data for this field. But I don't know how create this FORM :-).
Please do you have any ideas or maybe another solution ?

The field is already maintained using BD52, I see the field on BDCP table (for historical data) but I don't see my last update.
In other words, I see the last update in CDPOS / CDHDR, but not in BDCP table.
Could you please give me the "Message Type" for the field EORD-LIFNR
Do you have any other idea about this ?

Hi Karthik,
First define the statistics groups to Customer(OVRA),DEFINE MATERIAL Stats group- OVRF, Assign ststs group to header of sales docs-OVRO, Assign to item-OVRP.
Define field catalogue-MC18
HERE Select the application as "01" and give some name to field catalogue and select the fields and click on copy& close and save it. Same way you create the key fields catalogue.
Now create an info structure by using "MC21". Here create an infostructure(S500-S999) by selecting the appropriate field catalogue and key figures and click on generate and save the infostructure when table gets generated.
Now go to "MC24" and assign the update rules to the information structure. Be careful here when selecting the update rule for key fig and char.
Go to "OMO1" and define hhow you want the structure to be updated.
Now got to "MCSI" and see how it is working.

Standard Analysis - Report generation problem.

while generating a report in standard analysis, it says no data records found. Date also were taken care of. For this sales organization first time we are doing the sales, when tried to view the report it give the above message. For all the other sales organizations were coming out correctly which have been used from quite some time.
