Version level

Hi DMS Gurus,
Hav a doubt, pls. help to solve it out. If we use vault, to store files in file server, then all remaining configurations related to K-Pro or content server configuration should also be not operated on or what........
Regards,
Punam Modi

Hi Punam,
If you set secure storage area has vault for particular Document type, to store files in file server, then all remaining configurations related to K-Pro will not operate. Because The vault is an independent external data carrier that is used to store originals, and is monitored by ERP system. For originals to be checked in with Kpro to be done separately.

  • NWDI Version Level confusion

    Hi all,
    We will have two Portal landscapes (DEV.QAS and PRD):
    1. NW04s SP15
    2. NW04s SP09
    The NWDI system (currently at NW04s SP09)  will support development for both the above landscape/runtime systems.
    What version/SP level should the NWDI system be at? Should it be at the latest SP level?
    Any insights will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
    Regards, Neeta

    Hi Neeta,
    it will be better if it is at SP09 as per your landscape.
    or you can go to higher version i.e. any SP level. but keep the dependencies compatible for SP09
    as DI build at lower version can run on higher version WAS.
    as downward compatiblity. But a DI build at higher version may not work on lower version WAS

  • No enterprise mode option, IE is at correct version level

    Hello. Has anyone seen an issue before where iexplore.exe is at version 11.0.9600.17420 (or even higher), which should allow for the enabling of Enterprise Mode, but the Enterprise Mode option is not listed as an option under Tools? We've checked registry
    keys and policy, and all are set properly to allow Enterprise Mode. This only happens at the rate of about 1 out of every 100 installs, but we're perplexed on why this occurs.
    thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hi adamshattuck,
    “We've checked registry keys and policy, and all are set properly to allow Enterprise Mode.”
    How did you set up the group policy ?
    To make the “Enterprise Mode ” appear in the Tool menu ,we should choose “Let users turn on and use Enterprise Mode from the Tools menu option”.If we choose “Use
    the Enterprise Mode IE website list”, we will not have a “Enterprise Mode ” option in the Tool menu .
    “This only happens at the rate of about 1 out of every 100 installs”
    We can  run “rsop.msc” to check the result of the group policy. There is a possibility that the group policy that has not been deployed correctly. We also can run “gpupdate /force ” to update the group policy again to have a check.
    Best regards

  • Copy Project to different CO Version down to activity level

    We have tried to copy a project from one CO version to another using transaction CJ9B, but it only copies to the WBS element level.  Is there a transaction that will copy a project to a different CO version that included components down to the activity level?
    Thanks, Rae

    In Cost Planning for CO version 0 (Plan version 0) in CJ40 you are planning costs at WBS level, not at activity level.
    So where the question of copying activity cost come?
    Activity costs come at activity level planning, not in plan version level.
    Which as mentioned can be copied by simulation version, project version.

  • JDK/JRE Version support for Oracle Lite

    Hi,
    We have developed an application using jdk 1.4.x which also using Oracle9i Lite 5.0.2 release as a database. Application behaves normal except while closing it throws java exception (Exceptio Guard Page Exception) error.
    Is it because of the JDK Version we are using? What is the JDK/JRE version level supported by Oracle Lite.
    Thanks
    Krishna

    Right
    I got the same problem too.
    When my program and oracle 9i lite is running under JRE1.3.1, everything is ok.
    However, when i migrate the jre to 1.4.x, the program must fail and report DLL exception after closing.
    So trouble~!

  • Powershell script to find number of major and minor version for a item

    Is there a way to figure out to get the total major and minor version count for an item in powershell.
    I can get the count on basis of following
    “Item Versions” = $item.Versions.Count
    but not sure how to get number of major and number of minor version for an item. Pls advice.
    Thanks Basva

    Hi Basva,
    There might be an easier way, but this should work:
    foreach($item in $list.Items)
    $minor = 0
    $major = 0
    foreach($version in $item.Versions)
    if($version.Level -eq "Draft")
    $minor += 1
    else #Assume Level must be Published
    $major += 1
    #The variables $minor and $major will now hold
    #the correct number of versions for this item

    I'm new to sql and would appreciate it if anyone could show me the query that i need to type to get the server version information - I do not have direct access to the sql database (doing some work on an old website that runs on windows box w/ coldfusion :p)
    appreciate it!

    You could try this.
    Select SERVERPROPERTY('productversion') As [Version],
    SERVERPROPERTY('productlevel') As [Level],
    SERVERPROPERTY('edition') As [Edition]
    It will produce output like this.
    Version Level Edition

  • International version Issue on Me21n T-code

    Hi, Gurus~
    I am not sure I should ask this quesiton here, but I do meet another issue against the International Version address. As you know for some Asia country like China or Japan, we may use our own character, and this usually maintained in International Version add., and a English Name(pronouciation), will be maintained on the default page. For some transaction, if we do some settings, the system will fetch the international version directly. But for Me21n, create Purchasing Order, it will still display the English letter name on the screen. Do any of you have the previous experiences on this? Or a user-Exit program need to add?
    Thx~!

    Hi,
    Actually these are language add ons and there are levels in these installing langauage is concerned.
    when i worked for bulgaria and turkey, my experiance was that turkish language was installed fulling to all the levels and now all the words are coming in turkish when i log on in TR language.
    But when it comes to bulgarian languages as this language is up to a certain level we have can see part of the screen in english and part of it in bulgarian. We cannot do anything with this as SAP as to release the full versions/levels of langauge installation.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Please let me know any solutions to fix....
    Steps, I did try from one of the blogs -
    Open Component Services. Got oStart --> Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Components Services. Expand the Component Services branch then expand Computers, My Computer and DCOM Config. Right-click on "sms agent host" (my case) and click
    Properties. Click on the Security tab and under “Launch and Activation Permissions” select "edit" and add user Local Service (Local lunch). Click OK, close the Component Services window.
    In the Launch Permission dialog box, make sure that the Everyone group has Remote Launch and Remote Activation permissions.
    In the Launch Permission dialog box, make sure that the SMS Reporting Users local group has following permissions:
    Local Launch / Remote Launch / Local Activation / Remote Activation
    Also added Remote Launch / Remote Activation permission for Network Service (for the SMS_Reporting_Point)
    Added Admin Group to the "ConfigMgr Remote Control Users"
    VT

    In addition, In the security policy the ‘Local Service’ need to be configured for the following Policies
    - Generate security audits
    - Create global objects
    - Replace a process level token
    - Adjust memory quotas for a process
    - Impersonate a client after authentication
    - Log on as a service
    - Bypass traverse checking
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I determine Maintenance release level

    Good morning,
    Can anyone tell me how to determine the maintenance release level on an OES11.1 SP1 server ?
    The instructions for NSM 4 say you need to be at OES11.1 SP1 with Jan 2013 Maintenance release applied.
    When I run "cat /etc/novell-release" my reply is;
    VERSION LEVEL = 11.1
    PATCHLEVEL = 1
    I tried looking in YaST2 "Software Management, though that was any help for me.
    Is there another way to determine if the Jan 2013 Maintenance release was applied. Maybe a file date somewhere?
    Thanks,
    Allen

    As far as I know there's no command or log file which will easily show
    which maintenance release(s) has/have been applied.
    Since you're wanting to know whether a particular one has been applied
    what you can do in this case is check your installed versions of the
    packages shipped in that maintenance release. See
    http://download.novell.com/Download?...d=73ZrJ9ZUGjQ~ and
    http://download.novell.com/Download?...d=DHDMLrK5Wgc~ for the January
    2013 Scheduled Maintenance release for OES11 SP1 inc. eDirectory.
    Use "rpm -q <package>" to check which version of the package is
    installed - this will also report if a package is not installed. For
    example, to check which version of the ifolder3-enterprise package you
    have installed use "rpm -q ifolder3-enterprise".
    Given the number of novell-* packages updated by the January 2013
    Scheduled Maintenance update I would use "rpm -qa novell-*|sort" to list
    all novell-* package versions (note the "-qa" is needed because of the
    "novell-*" wildcard).

  • Change item level security using wwsbr_api.modify_item

    Hi.
    Im using wwsbr_api.modify_item for change item level security.
    Its code for change type access for item of my procedure
    l_masterid := portal30.wwsbr_api.modify_item(
    p_master_item_id => 7061,
    p_item_id => 7062,
    p_caid => 136,
    p_folder_id => 1,
    p_display_name => 'test',
    p_region_id => 5,
    p_access_level => portal30.wwsbr_api.item_access,
    p_text => 'test change item security',
    p_addnewversion => true, -- My content area have item versioning
    level is audit
    After execute my procedure access type = folder.
    I see in wwv_things table new record
    masterthingid = 7061,
    id = 7064,
    security = 'folder'
    How to change item level security programmatically?
    Thanks

    Jerry,
    Please forgive me for persisting with this, and thankyou for your continued patience, but let me try to explain the issue I'm having in another way...
    I have a function that calls wwsbr_api.modify_item to change, say, the description. In this case "description" is the one and only thing I want to change about the item. As you've described above, I am able to query most things associated with the item (via wwsbr_all_items, wwsec_api.grantee_list, etc) so that I can pass current values to the wwsbr_api.modify parameters. However, I haven't found a way to query the current level of access control for a given item (i.e. wether it is currently set to ITEM_ACCESS, FOLDER_ACCESS, or null). As documented, I can force the item to be ITEM_ACCESS or FOLDER_ACCESS. However, I don't want to force a value and as we have concluded, passing null will nullify the current state.
    So, in summary, an answer to this question will solve my problem:
    Is it possible to query the current access control level of an item (either directly via one of the published views or indirectly via one of the views)?
    If the answer is yes - great that solves my problem. How please?!?!?
    If the answer is no - this must be a bug is it would mean that it isn't possible to use wwsbr_api.modify_item without inadvertently altering the current access control level of the item.
    Again thanks for your patience...

  • AD password sync version

    Hi,
    I've read the following in AD connector documentation:
    The architecture of the password synchronization connector has been completely overhauled in release 9.1.1.
    We have AD UM v. 9.1.0.1 and we are planning to install AD Password sync v. 9.1.1. Are they compatible or they are required to be same version level?
    Thanks

    Which version of AD Connector and AD Pass Sync Agent are you using?
    I think the Filed Name is now UD_ADUSER_UID.
    Did you complete all the post installation steps of Password Sync Agent?

  • Practical, experience-oriented recommended device (f/w? /) s/w version(s) for all PC-centric activities on the TELUS Mobility BB Tour 9630

    Hey all ... I am wondering if I can pick people's brains and get good advice re: practical experience-oriented recommended device (f/w? /) s/w version(s) for all PC-centric activities on the TELUS Mobility BB Tour 9630, including the PC-resident s/w(pkgs) & USB / USB Serial drivers (on XP Pro SP3).
    I will likely be wanting to upgrade various (f/w? /) s/w components after a 3 year hiatus on the BB front  ... however, based on my own IT experience, newer / newest (f/w?) / s/w(pkgs) is (are) not always best for the end-user, and, can even be limiting in certain identifiable respects ... I'm speaking in general terms here ... so ... it may be that the latest BB s/w is the absolute best way to go for my PC O/S platform and Tour device ... I'm just throwing out there this notion of making an educated determination as to which upgrades to install and to what version level, in case the general suspicions I outlined above have any merit.
    I don't have (or want) Data enabled on this 9630, so, getting screen captures or Copied text off it (like all the information in Options > About: "BlackBerry (R) 9630, smartphone (3G, CDMA), v5.0.0.419 (Platform 4.2.0.179), 3G Bands 1 ... " [and, or course, there's lots more info on that screen ... ]) have so far eluded me (any suggestions or help on that front would be greatly appreciated) ... perhaps most of the device-relevant version info required by forum members to help me make this determination also appears in my PC screenshots below.
    Here's what I have left over on my PC from my dealings with my BB Storm 9530 from 3 years ago:

    More simply put ... should I upgrade my TELUS Tour 9630 software (currently at:  v5.0.0.419 [Platform 4.2.0.179] to the most currently available software, whatever version # / Platform # that may be?
    Or, is there some advantage in upgrading only to a certain BlackBerry Operating System version level on this particular device?
    For your 9630, you already are on the latest OS level that Telus released/supports. I do not know if other carriers have released anything more advanced, but you can read some very good discussion here:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Tour/Verizon-Tour-Users-Revert-to-old-OS-here/td-p...
    Based on what I've seen, I'd surmise that there is nothing "newer" than what you have...at least not officially...but you can dig through the official download portal to validate that:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/apps-and-software/desktop-and-device-download-sites.html
    Given that it's the carriers who hold responsibility for releasing BB OS packages to their customers, that portal is indeed sorted first by carrier...so you must first dig to discover which carriers support your 9630 and then compare the OS packages that each supporting carrier has released. Sadly, it is also the responsibility of the carriers to release change log information, but all too many of them are rather lax on that point. But, that thread I linked for you above has I believe some very good information that might help you in your quest. You also should seek out other threads here (and elsewhere) on similar topics.

    And, should I upgrade the BlackBerry USB Driver / USB Serial Driver / Device Manager / Desktop Manager software on my XP Pro SP 3 PC to the most recently available versions? (screenshots in 1st post show all the current version #'s ... this software was all installed circa mid-2009)
    Or, is there some advantage in upgrading only to certain BlackBerry software version levels for each of the items referenced above ... in the case of this particular device?
    The Desktop Software does not care about the specific device. Rather, it provides certain capabilities that you must choose from. For instance, if you need the ability to export from your BB to CSV/ASCII, then you need to stay behind in the version 6 range as that function was removed from version 7. Likewise, if you are intending to synchronize your BB with a desktop PIM (e.g., Outlook), you need to ensure that you are running a Desktop Software version that is compatible with your PIM:
    KB12268Synchronization support for BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows
    If neither of those are important and/or compatibility is fine with the latest version, then it's usually wisest to stick with the latest version for bug fixes, feature enhancements, etc. That is not to say that folks don't have problems with the latest version...perusing the Desktop Software board on this site will bear that out quite quickly indeed! But, by and large, there should be no harm/no foul to using the latest Desktop Software version with your BB.
    Further, it's always a good idea to also download and install to your PC the BB OS package that is actually running on your BB. Doing this somewhat customizes the Desktop Software so that it can best work with your specific BB environment. You cannot pick and choose what components within the Desktop Software you wish to upgrade (that "line item" mention you made)...rather, you install the entire package, and it contains within it whatever it has as "current" based on the overall version of the Desktop Software package.
    Hope that helps! Good luck!
