Version Management of Smart Form

Hi everyone,
Where is the Version Management of SmartForm manitained??
While making some changes in a smartform, I have inadvertently deleted some nodes in a smartform and saved & activated it. The deleted node has several subnodes.
So instead of writing again all these, I want to revert back to original.
Can anyone help me ??!!

HI,
Before doing any changes to the SMARTFORM, Download it <b>(Utilities --> Download from)</b>, and save it to the Local disk, if you want the chanes revert back, then upload the form <b>(Utilities --> Upload)</b>.
if you not Downloaded the form and done any changes and activate the form then you can not revert back to that..
if it is very critical, then ask your Basis people, they will take the Backups in a Daily basis, if they are doing the Backups to that Client, then you can get the same, but that is a huge Process

Hi,
There is no version management in smartforms as such, infact it is non existent...but in case ur requirement is to save a copy of the form u can download the smartform on your system and later upload it if required or create a backup copy of the existing form under a different name in your development system until the new version is working reliably in Production;

Version Management for Oracle forms/Reports/plSQL

We currently use Serena VM (PVCS)
Looking to migrate to an alternate one.
Wondered what people used if htey migrated etc?
SubVersion seems the obvious choice but thought id ask the people in same position as us development wise.
Ideally a web based solution would be best rather than a local, but not seen many of them.

The main difference to subversion is that it is distributed on each development PC. We didn't need this feature as we are hardly developing software outside our company building, so subversion was and still is very suitable for us.

E-Requiement - Replace Publication Smart Form with Customised Forms

Hi All,
In E - Recruitment, We have standard smart form "HRRCF_PUBLICATION_INT" (publication for internal candidate)and "HRRCF_PUBLICATION_EXT" (publication for external candidate.
Here client requirment to change layout of these forms for that we developed customised smart forms according to the client requirment.
I want to replace these standard forms with my customised "Z" forms.
please anybody can tell me how to do the same.

I am not sure why as per the client requirement we cant change it in the spro ??
anyways if you want to achieve it then we have to go for an enhancement...
for eg i want to change a std smartform which displays the candidate and requisition data overviews in the manager self service.
then i know that the class CL_HRRCF_M_DATAOVERVIEW will be used and in this a method called GET_FM_NAME will be called which fetches the smartform(std) so in this FM create a enhancement at the last so you have a chance to overwrite the form name..

My issue is, I created smartform and released to production.It is working fine.Another collegue added two fields and released to production then some fields are printing twice .So, my doubt is can we compare the existing smart form and previous smart form which i developed?

I want to know that How can I connect SQL server Enterprise Manager Version 8.0 with Forms/reprots 6i.
currently I have oracle 9i database at server windows 2003 and I also connected with client (my PC) I work on server.
I also have SQL server in that server 2003 machine and this SQL Server also work with other clients that have VB program.
I want to know that can I connect with this SQL server with Form 6i?

You can't. The closest thing would be to create links in an oracle database to the SQL Server database using Heteregeneous Services and connect forms to the that.

Purchase order smart form - Version number and link to RFQ

Hi I am making enhancements to the purchase order smartform and wanted to print the version number (ekko-revno) on the print layout.
The structure for ekko which is being filled in at runtime from print program ZMMS_640FM06P has the field 'revno' blank. It is filling in the rest all fields. When I go into the ekko table I can see a value in this field. Does anyone know why this field is NOT being filled. I do not want to do a select on this field again in my smart form.
I would also like to know if there is a any way you can track back the RFQ number for a particular PO.

Scenario: Inventory Management- Printing Physical Inventory Document using Smart Forms
I could found out that there is no standard smart form linked to Transaction MI21(Program-RM07IDRU). There is a sapscript ((INVNET) assigned to this transaction, but my requirement is to assign customized smartform to this transaction.If it is not possible to assign smart form to pgm then is it possible to through enhancement.If yes then let me know the enhancement as there are lot of enhancement in the pgm RM07IDRU.
If you have any solution then kindly mentioned it.

Check out with your SD guy if the items in billing doc have correct pricing conditions triggered.
From the description it looks like some customizing issue.
Otherwise revert back with the logic how are you trying to get the net value of item.

Is there a version management for SAP Script forms
like what we have in ABAP programs?
I need to revert back the old version of my SAP scrip form like what I used to do in an ordinary ABAP program.
Is this possible?

Hello Jeffrey,
as far as I know there are just two versions stored in the system, the active one and the one you work on. As long as you do not activate your work, you should be able to track your changes. The other way (which I use) is to save the original version with another name and simply load it back when needed. Since we are working with an old Release I do not how it looks in the "new world".

Trigger Smart form from Account Management

Hi Experts,
I need to triger a smart form form accout management screen.
I am trying implementing BADI , PARTNER_UPDATE , Method CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE.
I am able to implement this in GUI and sucessfully able to call my smartform. Now the issue lies in calling this Smartform on portal page.
This BADI gets triggered but the smart form is not displayed.
Any inputs on this.
Help will be appreciated.

PDF without full version of ADOBE Acrobat (Smart Forms)

I try to generate a smart forms document as pdf-file by successfully using the otf-converter and afterwards the pdf-viewer.
Because of company rules only ADOBE Acrobat 7.0 Elements and ADOBE Acrobat 7.0 Reader are installed and we are not allowed to install the full version of ADOBE Acrobat.
Now the pdf-viewer methods generate error "did not find ADOBE application to display PDF documents".
Can anybody help?
