Version management output type issue

hi,
we have activated version management and all working fine .
but while taking print out through ME9F we have assigned to 3 output types (NEU,ZNEU,ZNIU) for a single PO , until and unless we take print for 3 output tyes we are not able to amend the PO .we are getting the below error .
"No new version created because a message has not yet been transmitted"
is there any option if we take print for one output type(ZNEU )out of 3 output types(NEU,ZNEU,ZNIU) it should allow us to do changes in PO .
please assist we need to close the requirement on priority .

No i don't think so system will create new version.
new version is created when you output PO completely
try this create pool request for other two message in Message tab in PO in ME22N and then try PO it will work

Version management relates to PO output.
There is no configuration required in output type / message determination , but in Version management configuration, we set this check box for output.
Materials Management -->Purchasing >Version Management>Set Up Change Displays ..
Unless you complete the version in Purchase order you will not be able to generate Print out.

VL02N Output type issue.

Hi,
When I execute the tcode VL02N for any output type (ZEU5) for print preview and external mail then it is giving error that "Output could not be issued".
I have also checked the config of NACE , it seems to be ok.
So what are the other possibilities of this error.

Configuration of NACE does not make all the difference. The only way to come to the solution is to debug from point when button is clicked for print preview or etc.
Possible reasons may be there calling program before making a call to script or smartform encountering a problem. It may be that program is not able to get the desired data correctly from the tables or some other problem(Mainly due to subrc not coming to be 0).
Apart from this even if call is made successfully to the form but inside there could be problem like using command in smartform.

Multiple output types issue

Hello,
I configured two output types (Bill of lading & Packing list) for the application V7-transaportation. I am able to get both the outputs. Now, I am able to get a print for BOL and also a print preview. For Packing list I am able to see the screen view(print preview), but when I try to print it directly it gives me an error " output could not be issued" . When I go to Output-> screen it is showing me the output.
I have maintained all the required print parameters and assigned the print profiles to the output types.Is there a problem with my configuration? can't I print two output types simultaneously?

Is there a printer defaulted to your output types? You can issue multiple outputs at the same time.
If the output types have been determined in your document, then nothing wrong with the determination process.
If the output can be previewed, nothing wrong with the SAPScript or Smartform.
So maybe something to do with compatibility with the printer chosen.

Output type issue

Hello,
I have created new Z* output type and done all confirguration related to this.
When trying to save this output type for one of the material doc. in transaction MB02 - > Details & Messages, am getting below message
"Express Document " Update was terminated " received from author "User id" "
When checked the same in SM13 transaction, following error message found :
Class : J3R_LEGAL_FORMS
Number : 022
" Number range error: number could not be generated for number range J3R FORMS (01). "
Is this realted to number range issue ? If so, how can i resolve this ?

JJ Form - Output type issue

Hi Friends,
I've created a JJ Form(Smartform) and it's to be called by material document number thru tcode MB02 or MB90.
For this, My MM consulatnat has also created a new output type in ME-inventory management with my calling print output program 'RLE_DELNOTE' and my form name.
But when calling the output thru Tcode MB02/MB90, the Form is not coming out and it saying output could not be found....and also in log, it says,
Note: Log not from current processing run
Processing log for program RLE_DELNOTE routine ENTRY
There were no deliveries that matched the criteria you specified.
FYI...
If i assign my inventroy management calling program, it says the output could not be found and Processing routine in program ZMMSS0002 does not exist.
(my smartform working fine while executing thru FM)
Pls advise me, where i did the mistake and how to assing my calling print program and form routine.

Hi,
The print program: RLE_DELNOTE which you are refering is the right one? In mysystem it is been assigned to different output types like LD00 etc, which all comes under application V2 which is related to Sales.
Where as Mateial document does not comes under Sales.
Please check with your functional consultant, whether your have assigne the correct program, under correct application type.

EK00 Output type issues

We have an issue with EK00. We have the shipping points defined in VP01SHP but it does not create a EK00 for the shipping points. What else could be wrong?

PO Output Type Issue

Hi Gurus,
           I created New Output Types for PO (PrintOut & Fax).The Output for the Printer is working fine and when i am trying to use the Output type for Sending the FAX,it is throwing an error that "Cannot Process Message,No route from XXXXXXXX to 08-000-0000".
           I have checked and all the configs are done properly for both the types.Please let me know the solutions for the error.Thanks in Advance.

Please check the config as per note 455140.
The two steps I would advise you to take with this issue are:
1) Confirm that the SAPConnect node you have configured for INT
   transmission is in use and
2) Confirm that there is a valid address area set up in this node, for
   roger_xu@DP&UPTX.COM - for example '' or '@DP&UPTX.COM'

Version Management - Active flag issue

Experts,
Here's my issue. When I edit a program, activate it and assign it to a new request, the program shows as active from the editor. But when I go to version management, the active flag (check box) for the current version (with the new request number) is not checked.
I tried checking the check box and do a retrieve. Then it showed an activ flag (checked) and modif flah(unchecked). But when I go to the editor mode and get back to version management, again, the active flag is blank. Is it to do with BASIS or what could be the problem?

Propose Custom Idoc, output type issue

Dear Experts,
I want to populate a custom idoc(Idoc already existing) by proposing the output type in the purchase order for which I created a output type and made an entry in Application 'EF' (NACE),
Also created a process code thru we41 and assigned both of these in the outbound parameters of the partner profile.
But for some reason I'm getting an error while propsing and saving the purchase order, Is there a way that I can identify why the error occurred.
Or can some one shed some light if I need to do any extra configuration if I'm playing with a custom Idoc.

I did all the partner profile configurationand maintanied message control too, While saving I'm not getting any error, but after saving, if I go back to the output type and see the output is in Red coulor (Indicating failure), I'm not sure how to check where the error occured.

Clarifications in pick list output type EK00

Hello ,
Have any one of you used the pick list output EK00 . I have
tried this and I do have some issues with
We are using SAP R/3 4.7 x 200 version .
Output type EK00 is not available in the application V2 (
Shipping ) . Its available in application V4 (Shipping special
case).
1. I have assigned the shipping points through T code VOK2 as I
am not able to find the output EK00 through customization menu.
2. I have maintained the printers details through VP01SHP ( correct me if I am wrong) . I am using the standard program RVADEK01 and form
SD_PICK_SINGLE in the output EK00.
After doing the above setting when I am creating delivery in
VL01N , the output type EK00 is not assigned automatically and
when I try to assign it manually , it gives an error message
"Processing program missing for output EK00 (medium 1)in
application V2" . I dont know why the system is looking for
application V2 when it is not available in V2 and only available
in V4 .
Am I missing anything in my process . Can some one help me in this .

Have you done the following setting in transaction v/38:
1.On the Display View "Output Types": Overview screen, in the Output type group box, select EK00. (Application V4)
2.In the left frame, under Dialog Structure, double-click on the Processing routines folder.
3.On the Change View "Processing Routines": Overview screen, choose .
4.In the first medium, for Print output, enter the Smart Form print program /SMB40/RVADEK01 under Program and Smart Form /SMB40/SDPIK_L under SmartForm.
Document Types        Picking List
Output Types          EK00
Transaction Code      v/38
Smart Form Program    /SMB40/RVADEK01
Smart Form            /SMB40/SDPIK_L
                      /SMB40/SDPIK_A

Version management issue

I am two issues with Version Management in PR and POs:
- New version can only be added onces the PR or PO is release by final authority. Below is the scenario:
I have created a PR and have it release by the two approving authorities. Now I want make changes in the PR. I have it cancelled from the both approving authorities and make the required changes. Now logically the system should allow the initiator to add the new version so that requisition so that the approving authrities must know that the second version of requisition is being released. But the system doez not let the initiator add the version prior to release. Do we have any solution to this?
- second issue is that once the second version is added in the PR and we need to make some more changes and create a thrid version, system doznot let user to revoke the release.

For your issue 1, please check if version already set to completed and an message output already sent to vendor.
This is the prerequisites for the new version to be created. A new version will only be created when the information
had sent to vendor.

Output type for the managed codes cut letter is hard coded

Very Good afternoon!
I have a requirement to create new Output Types for a Smart Form.
The already existing Output types are hard coded as shown Below :

Now they do not want to use ZUS1. Insted they wnat to use New Output Types.
u2022 Remove ZUS1 as we no longer use this one.

u2022     Add ZCN0
u2022     Add ZKR0
How to add these Output types without Hardcoding as shown ABove.
Any Suggestions will be appreciated.....

WE03 Output type with print version '3' (Collective Slip)

I am using output type WE03 with combination of print version 3 (Collective Slip) to print GR slips.
My requirement is to print all the line items on single page (unless there is no room) .
However with this output type one line item is printed per page.
Does anyone manage to print items continously on the page without page break?
Is there any other output type/print version for that?
Well, the last option will be to change the print program and sapscript, but I am trying to avoid that...

Need to call custom version of RSNAST00 from VF03 output type

I have created a customized version of the RSNAST00 program which is valid for two existing ouptut types for billing condition "V3". This new program (ZRSNAST00) works fine when called directly (i.e. se38). However, when issuing output type via VF03, the old program is called (RSNAST00). Is there a setting to tell the output type to use ZRSNAST00?
FYI, I have checked NACE, and the output type references the print program (which is the same for both versions of the driver program.

There is some special sort I had to include for printing. Client needed to have page-number order (single page first, 2-page next, etc.) in the spool.
I may need to create new output type for the ZRSNAST00 version to run, and leave RSNAST00 for the "normal" single processing via VF03.
