Version of iMovie for PowerPC G5 1.8GHz?

Does anyone know what version of iMovie and iLife does work on it and where that version can be downloaded? The download page for iMovie is http://support.apple.com/downloads/#imovie but, rediculously, it does not say anything about the hardware requirements; only the OS.

Your best bet would be iMovie HD 6. You COULD run iMovie '08 or '09 as an unsupported installation, but I won't go into details.

Hey everyone,
I still using Mavericks as many do, I done a clean install and would like to download latest version of iMovie instead recover from my time machine one(imvid version 10.0.5), I want to know what is the latest version for mavericks so I didn't mis any features.
I tried to download in my purchase page, but it said do you want to download last compatible version, then I choose yes, I not sure what version it download but look like the new one for os x yosemite because from the new "jelly" like icon of iMovie. But does Mavericks support that? or maybe the first version?
and does mavericks iMovie support sony xavc s code?

The current version may be obtained at the App Store. If you have an older version installed, then it should be available in Updates. The new version will not work with Snow Leopard.

Had this version, loved it. Mistakenly upgraded and replaced with 4, which cannot run on this architecture. Need to find earlier version again, can't locate it on your site. Please make available for us who have older macs.

Is there a way to change the individual color (rgb) channels of a clip, like in the previous version of iMovie?

I loved this feature in the older versions of iMovie for editing my underwater scenes to get ride of the greenish tint. Now I only see a color temperature slider adjustment in the new iMovie, but that doesn't give me enough control. Is there a way to get each color channel edit back?

iMovie version 10 doesn't have the individual RGB gain controls that version 9 does.
You'll find that version 9 was left behind in your Applications folder when you upgraded to 10.

IMovie for iOS help

Hello
Can anyone help me? I have just filmed a trailer using the latest version of iMovie for iOS (on an iPad 3). I then exported it from iMovie to Camera Roll as a 720p movie. On my iMac I opened iPhoto and imported the video from my iPad's Camera Roll - dragged the file to the desktop and then copied onto a USB stick.
The video plays perfectly on the iMac (running Mountain Lion) and perfectly on the iPad.
When I attempt to play the video on a PC running Windows 7 it plays the movie fine BUT there is no sound (I have checked all the PC sound settings). So I went back to the iMac - put the video into QuickTime and re-exported. Again it works fine on the iMac (with full sound) but when I go to the PC - video plays but no sound at all. I even tried importing the trailer into iMovie 11 on my iMac and then export - still no sound when played on a PC!
Does anyone have any idea what is wrong? It is driving me mad.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.

I don't have a PC to test my iMovie for iOS videos on, but thought I would share some information about the format of my exported files and how I view them. Hopefully that may help!
Looking at my most recent video (not a Trailer, just a standard themed video), after exporting from iMovie on my iPhone then importing to iPhoto on my MacBook Pro, the file details are:
For video: H.264 960 x 540 (I exported as Large)
For audio: AAC 44100 Hz, Stereo (L R)
In QuickTime, this information can be revealed by selecting Window > Show Movie Inspector from the menu.
How are you viewing the movie on the PC? Are you using QuickTime? If not you can download a version for Windows from Apple's site (Google it). The movie should play perfectly on QuickTime, whether on a Mac or on a Windows PC.

What is the file structure for new iMovie for Mac?

Under the previous version of iMovie for Mac, iMovie stored my clips and finished projects in folders that I was able to create on my hard drive. I have one folder named Events and another folder name Projects. With the new version of iMovie for Mac (the one that came with OS X Mavericks), I see there now is a file named iMovie Library 2.imovielibrary on my hard drive. Can someone explain how clips and projects are stored in the new iMovie versus the previous version of iMovie? Is all my content now stored in the iMovie Library 2.imovielibrary folder? The "date modified" on my previous Events and Projects folders shows 23 October, so it seems that the new iMovie no longer accesses those folders. Sound correct? Can I delete those old folders? Thank you

I wouldn't rename any of the files that iMovie creates in the Finder. You're asking for trouble.
I think the reason for the "2" is that at some point iMovie encountered a folder already with that name.
Did you re-install iMovie version 10 or do anything else that may have been non-standard with your installation?

How do I move a video file from theater to the library for additional editing in iMovie. It is a new iMac so i guess i have the newest version of iMovie.

I understand that you have added a clip or project to iMovie Theater but would like to continue working on it. When you upload the project to iMovie Theater, the original project remains in iMovie where you can edit it further.

Did You ever use - iPhoto ?
Did You may be direct iPhoto to a different Photo Library
As iMovie tries to find the appropriate photo library - it can get lost if iPhoto direct it into a Library on a not connected external hard disk or to a strange location - And iMovie HANGS.
Do - When no other program is running that might interfere
• Start iPhoto - BUT NOW KEEP alt-key (option key) DOWN during the full Start-Up process
• Now iPhoto let's You select Photo Library
• Select the one in Your Account / Home folder / Pictures ! !
• Then iPhoto should start up OK
• Now Quit iPhoto
• START iMovie
Does it still hangs - then I would suspect - iMovie Pref. file
If it Run's OK - Then HURRAY !

This version of iMovie cannot import Trailers created in iMovie for iOS.

I have the latest verison of iMovie on both my Mac and iPad 3g. I used a trailer on the iPad iMovie and exported it to iTunes. On my Mac I went to iTunes and pulled the file down and clicked to open it. After iMovie can up it dispalyed "This version of iMovie cannot import Trailers created in iMovie for iOS."
How can this be?

I'm having the same problem. I've check the instructions for exporting a Movie trailer that can be found in iMovie for iOS 6 and have followed them to a tee, numerous times. Each time i export a trailer i've created using the iPad, i can easily save it to my MacBookPro. But iMove on my laptop refuses to import a movie with the suffix ".iMoveTrailer", which is what you get in iMove for iOS6 when you export and use iTunes in Mac OS to save the file. How strange? There must be someting wrong going on here. Anyoner have any thoughts? I'm just trying to save an iMove trailer from the iPad and would like to burn it to a DVD to give to friends. Hmmmm.....

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.
