Version of webdynpro

Hello,
does anyone know how to find out which version of abap webdynpro is installed ?
We are using SAP ECC 6.0 but in System/Status the abap component isn't listed.

    If you login to the J2EE Engine Start Page of your server and you go to system information (http://<host>:<port>/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo) you can view all components and their versions (http://<host>:<port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo).

  • NWDS version for WebDynpro Java

    Hi,
    I have WAS 7.0 SP10 ABAP+Java. NWDS and WAS needs to be on the same SP. But servicemarketplace has got only SP4 and SP15.
    Could you advise on which version is the right one to download?

       SP4 should be the right one to download since NWDS version must not be newer than the Web AS version.

  • How to Generate New Version of Enhancements done to Std WebDynpro ABAP obj

    Hi Experts,
    We have enhanced a SAP Std WebDynpro ABAP component (HAP_DOCUMENT_BODY) using Enhancement framework provided by SAP. Multiple enhancements were done on the same component for different requirements. Now, under the Enhancement Implementations folder of this component, you can see 5 enhancements of the component each referring to the 5 different changes done (most of the changes were done to the same view ).
    These changes has now been transported to the Quality System. Now, the client wants one of the changes to be removed. I am not sure of the impact of removing, for eg: the 3rd enhancement,  on the other changes done as multiple enhancements were done in a mixed manner.
    What i want to do is to generate a new version of WebDynpro component on Dev which has all the enhancements done so far using Utilities -> Versions -> Generate new version. Then try to delete the 3rd enhancement folder, so that if something goes wrong, I can always revert to this newly created version on DEV which has all changes available.
    Questions:
    1)  Before that, I would like to know if I can generate versions of the enhancements done of WebDynpro ABAP using enhancement framework by using Utilities -> Versions -> Generate new version ?
    2) If yes, I want to generate one version which has all the enhancements done so far using enhancement framework. For doing so, where should i do the click or selection (Is it Std Main Component or is it Enhancements in the enhancements folder-if so, there are 5 of them, and which one??) before i go to  Utilities -> Versions -> Generate new version. I am not clear where i should select or keep the cursor selected on before generating a new version? 
    Please guide with step by step details.

    I am guessing you are using Rh11 as you have a trial copy. I have some instructions for Rh10 and the only difference should be the script used. See the contact page on my site and request those details. Include a link to this thread.

  • Instalation to try webdynpro for java

    Hi Experts,
    I'm trying to perform an instalation to make some tests with webdynpros for java.
    In our office we have a 2003 Server Standard edition, but I don't know if I have to install the programs on the  Server or on a Personal Computer.  I don't know anything about sistem managing or administration
    We have downloaded this tryal versions:
    - SAP NetWeaver 2004 SP16 --> version java+webdynpro
    - SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) SP9 --> version JavawebdynproComposite Application Framework
    A workmate of mane have tryed to install them but he says that he can't complete the installation c'ause an error is recieved at the middle of the instalation.
    Does anybode please can give me a clue about how do I have to instal it, where; and wich version? The tests i want to make are about creating webdynpro applications with netweaver developer studio.

  • Portal Theme in Webdynpro ABAP

    Hi Experts,
         I want my portal theme to get applied to the webdynpro abap application.But WDA application is not adapting the portal theme.
    This is the version of the theme's style sheet in portal=7.1.3.0.1;ur=7.1.3.0.1;7.1.3.0.0(Major version.minor version.SP.patch.generation run)
    The version of Webdynpro abap theme is 7.11.3.2.0.
    Portal Version is NetWeaver 7.0 Ehp1
    and SAP Basis Version is 701 and level 5.
    Is there  version incompatibility?
    How can I solve this.

    Please follow below steps to apply Portal theme in Webdynpro ABAP.
    1. Go to transaction SE80 and navigate to the MIME Repository
    2. Create a folder in the MIME repository that will contain all the custom theme files. Make sure the folder is created in following directory /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/<theme_name>
    3. Go to the Repository browser in SE80 and select u201CProgramsu201D from the drop down list.
    4. Enter BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS in the input field and hit Enter
    5. Execute the program and enter the MIME repository path to the folder that is to contain the custom theme. Our custom theme is located in MIME path /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/<Theme Name>
    6. Execute the program and select root folder that contains all the custom theme files.  The custom theme can be directly pulled down from the file server on portal or can be exported from Portal Theme Editor and imported into Eclipse Theme Editor in order to generate the necessary css files. We only need the root folder that contains the actual css files and images. The upload process might take a while depending on the size.
    7. Once the upload is complete, go back to the MIME Repository and check if the files were uploaded.
    8. To specify a theme at the global level you can execute WebDynpro component WD_GLOBAL_SETTING. Maintain parameter u2018Stylesheet URIu2019 with the MIME Repository path of the custom theme (i.e. /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/<custom_theme>).
    9. Enter the path under "Stylesheet URI:" and select the check box which says "Force use of External Stylesheet".

    If you search for your component under the /usr/<SID> folder

    If you have NWDI in place CTS would help in this, else you can deploy your application using sdm.
    in CE you can deploy the application from NWDS.

  • Spell check in Web Dynpro for Java?

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement from our client to have  Spelling Checking integrated with our custom Web Dynpro Java application as we have quite a few free text fields that needs to be completed.
    We are quite perplexed with this as we are not aware of any such thing available.
    Do you perhaps know of how to impliment such an option - presuming that it is available?

    Check FormattedTextEdit UI element (Just check it might helpful , available in CE versions onlyl)
    Webdynpro doesn't have such kind of inbuilt feature.

    I am new to Web dynpro, I am an ABAP consultant. I want to shift to Web dynpro.
    can any one help me with the confusion i have?
    I want to know what is difference between
    Web dynpro in Java and
    Web dynpro in ABAP.
    In which part i want to shift in Java or ABAP side?
    What are the software requirements to work with Web dynpro? Now i am working in ABAP on
    ECC 5.0 where i am not able to see the Web dynpro creation components in Tcode SE80.

    SAP had promised to offer two versions of WebDynpro :
    1) WebDynpro for JAVA.
    2) WebDynpro for ABAP.
    The webdynpro that we are currently discussing in this forum is 'WebDynpro for JAVA'. For running it, you need to have a separate WAS installation and the programming IDE to be used is NetWeaver Developer Studio. And as the name stands, it is purely based on Java and provides special support to call R/3 functions from within the Java environment.

    Below are my comments for your queries:
    1. ABAP is as important for new dimensional SAP mosules as it is for basic R/3 modules. Apart from ABAP, a technical consultant should be comfortable working on ITS and BSP for current versions and webdynpro for upcomming versions. Knowledge of workflows and middleware components would be an added advantage.
    2. I dont agree with your second statement. I will re-phrase it as "New dimensional components involves  more technical work (knowledge of system integration technologies) as compared to SAP's basic modules. The reason is these components involes web based user interface and are dependent on other SAP modules.
    3. Choosing a domain is upto your comfort. All these are totally different areas. For SCM, yo need to be comfortable with manufacturing business process, for CRM, you need to comfortable with SD business processes and for SRM, you need to be comfortable with MM business processes.
    The most tricky part for a functional consultant is Business Blue Print phase, where the functional consultant has to understand the business and propose the solution. Some times the requirements can be mapped to SAP (either using standard or thru custom developments), but sAT times we need to play process consultants role and suggest change management, which needs thorough understanding onclient buisiness.
    Sometimes people misunderstand functional consulting as system configuration. Its not so.
    I will suggest you to take a decision depending on your of expertese.

    we are currently using ECC 6.0 EhP 4 ESS and MSS on 1.41 Version, with WebDynpro ABAP Flexible UI Template for Appraisals for current year 2010. we have a requrement to trigger  AutoSave,Spellcheck, ZoomEdit function in Appraisal document for Employee and Manager. so do we have any standard soution to use these function

    AutoSave - No standard feature.
    Spellcheck - No standard feature for Webdynpro. But works for BSP in Firefox and Chrome.
    ZoomEdit - What exactly do you mean by ZoomEdit?

       can any one tell me how to develop web dynpro on abap workbench , let me know whether i can avail this on netweaver 04 sp09 basis release 640 , abap 640 or r/3 4.7 basis release- 620 , abap 620.

  • HTMLB: onRowSelection & passing values & maybe javascript ?

    Hi experts,
    I've modified a CRM screen so that after input of first_name then last_name then pressing TAB, a popup window opens.
    This popup window has a table of possible results (with fields like first_name, last_name, street, zipcode, city, country, phone etc).
    When a row of this table is clicked, I would like the values of that row to be returned into the original CRM screen in the appropriate fields (street into street_field, zipcode into zipcode_filed, etc) without modifying the other fields, and the popup window to close.
    The table from which the selection will take place is this:
