Version Problem - Upgrade

Hi,
Now we are upgrading the system from 4.6C to ECC6.
I am just analysing the total workflow in the system with SWE2 transaction. The problem is , i am seeing multiple version of workflows 0,1,2,3,4,5.
Which version of workflow i need to consider , that is being used in the production environment.

Hi Richard.
In transaction SWDD, for your workflow definition, go to menu Workflow -> Other workflow/version.... You must consider the active version.

Problems upgrading to newer version of iPhoto

I recently upgrading server from os x tiger to leopard 10.5.6 in order to add photos from a newer computer. Now I can't upgrade iPhoto version... message "eligible iPhoto application was not found in location/Applications". What does this mean???!! Please help!!

What does this mean?
Either you've moved iPhoto out of the Applications folder, including to a subfolder of it, in which case it needs to be put back, or you need to purchase a newer iLife version to upgrade.

Problem Upgrading to Apex 3.1 on XE

I am running into a problem upgrading Apex to 3.1 on Oracle XE.
Hardware and Software:
Database: Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0
PL/SQL Web Toolkit Version: 10.1.2.0.4
Host O/S: MS Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP2
Host Hardware: AMD Athlon 64 Processor, 2.2 GHz, 1.87 GB RAM
Background:
This is a lab host. I am working through the full installation process so that I can set up XE and Apex on development and production hosts, the end in mind being to develop a simple application using XE/Apex instead of Access 2003, which is used heavily in this shop.
It seems to me that upgrading to Apex 3.1 would be a good thing to do up front instead of developing in the version which ships with XE (2.1, I believe) and performing the upgrade later.
I installed XE going with full defaults. Nothing at all tricky. I was able to connect to http://localhost:8080/apex without any trouble and log in as system.
I then followed these Apex upgrade instructions, very carefully:

After I ran into trouble (see below), I reviewed this post and used it to double-check my work:

I have worked through this a number of times, each time ending up with the same error.
The Problem...
After the upgrade, when I navigate to http://localhost:8080/apex, I receive the following error:
wwv_flow.app_not_found_footer_err
wwv_flow.err wwv_flow.app_not_found_err
OK
I reviewed this posting, which suggests that I upgrade my PL/SQL Web Toolkit:
apex 3.0 error wwv_flow.app_not_found_footer_err after new installation
I am perfectly willing to try this, but I am not sure how to obtain the latest correct version of the web toolkit for this particular version of the database. Any tips on where I might find this?
I also note that the posting says there should be 10 SQL files in the apex/builder directory. I only have 5, but I just downloaded this zip file a few days ago and assume this is the correct number of files. If it isn't, where could I find the correct zip?
Any other suggestions about the root cause of this issue would be appreciated.

Thanks Joel, it was the files. I examined the zip file I originally downloaded and, sure enough, there were 10 files. I extracted it again and, for some reason, this time it only pulled one of the SQL files out, not even five as it did the first time. In addition, it also skipped about half the language folders.
To get it work, I used the windows built-in zip to open the file, navigated to the apex/builder folder, selected all of the SQL files and language folders, then copied and pasted them into c:\apex\builder.
I then restored the database, ran the install again, and everything worked just fine: I can access http://localhost:8080/apex/apex_admin and log in.
I'm not sure what the issue is, a problem with the zip file or (ok, more likely) a problem with the built-in windows zip tool. I used 7-zip (www.7-zip.org) to extract the file on my workstation and all 10 files and 9 language folders came out just fine.
The bottom line is, it works now, thanks again for the help.

Help! Can't open files in all programs since installing version cue upgrade

Please help. A few days ago I got some pop up (I'm in windows XP) saying updates were available for 2 adobe things. I just chose yes and kept working. Now, I can't open files in any of my CS3 programs. I have lost 4 days of productivity and fear losing my mind next!! after doing some research, it appears alot of people are having trouble since uploading some version cue upgrade for cs3. I followed their suggestions and unchecked VC in photoshop (my first offender) and suddenly I could open files again. But now I can't in Illustrator, but in preferences, it does not have VC checked.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the whole package. I've tried just uninstalling VC. Nothing's working and I'm having major deadline problems now.

You can try a system restore to a point before the update. If you're lucky, it might work, but I often find System Restore will fail when you need it the most.

Ok. Thanks for your help, but removing that package was not the solution because I hadn't installed it. The only reference I had about that package was

Problems upgrading from Panther 10.3.9 to Tiger

I am having problems upgrading my Mac 500mhtz which currently runs Mac OS X 10.3.9 (Panther). It starts the installation process, I choose the language that I want (EnglisH) then the next screebbn says " Alert - Thius software cannot be installed on this computer" . The options I have is Resart or Startup Disk . I don't understand whythis happening becasue I meet the requirements. I have about 6 gigs of space ti stall and from what I read Tiger needs 3 gigs. I have loked through many forums and have not found the answer to my question. Does anybody know the answer to this solution. I have also backed up my User profile and are planning on doing a clean install once when installing Tiger.

That error frequently appears if you don't use the retail Tiger installer discs. Mac OS X installer discs are system specific or retail versions. You don't want to install another Mac's installer discs, for reasons my FAQ states here:

I'd also look that whole FAQ over and see whether or not you really are ready for an upgrade.
In addition, there is no such thing as a "clean install". Here are the various types of installation options available:

Service pack versioning problem

Can anyone help me solve service pack versioning problem please. This
problem may solve some of my other problems.
I am trying to check if my service pack has been installed properly or not.
I issue following command from command prompt:
C:\>java weblogic.Admin t3://localhost:7001 VERSION
I get the following error: "Failed to connect to t3://localhost:7001 due to:
[java.net.ConnectException: No server found at T3://localhost:7001]"
At this time, I have weblogic 5.1 installed with service pack 2 installed.
If I run server seems to be running, and connecting to my
database.Eventually I am planning to upgrade to SP6 and run with jdk1.3.
2nd problem: When I make JAVA_HOME= JDK1.3, wls does not run.

WLAS5.1 does not run once I change JAVA_HOME TO "C:\jdk1.3.0_02", that
where I have jdk1.3
I get following error message:"wlserver.exe has generated error and will be

Problems upgrading Torch O/S

I am having a problem upgrading my Torch's O/S.
When I connect the phone to the PC, running Windows XP, SP3, and open Blackberry Desktop software, a box appears telling me that a new software version is available.
I download but then Winzip self extractor kicks in Should I disable Winzip before attmeptiog the upgrade?

I've never had Winzip kick in during my updates so it's probably not a bad idea to disable it.

Problem Upgrading Kernel to he Current Level for ECC 6 V5R4M0 OS/400

I am having problem upgrading my ECC 6.0 kernel to the current level (236), the steps I have done is
1) downloaded and copied following kernel fix to tmp folder under rootbin.
APYR3FIX.SAR,APYSAP.SAR,LODSAPKRN.SAR
2) Apply the above fix using following command
- APYR3FIX SID(SID) SAVF(R3FIX700U/APYR3FIX) SAVLIB(GEN700UOPT) KRNLIB(SAPSIDUC)
- APYR3FIX SID(SID) SAVF(R3FIX700U/APYSAP) SAVLIB(GEN700UOPT) KRNLIB(SAPSIDUC)
- APYR3FIX SID(SID) SAVF(R3FIX700U/LODSAPKRN) SAVLIB(GEN700UOPT) KRNLIB(SAPSIDUC)
Started applying new kernel
1) Copy sapexe.sar and sapexedb.sar into tmp folder i.e kern under rootbin.
2) created one file using notepad called parts ( w/o extension)
parts file having following content.
SAPEXE.SAR,
SAPEXEDB.SAR,
3) copied parts file into tmp folder.
4) Create new kernel library like SAPSIDUKRN using following command.
- CRTLIB LIB(SAPSIDUKRN)
5) Apply latest kernel to newly created kernel library using following command.
- LODSAPKRN DEV(STMF) MNTPNT('/tmp') KRNLIB(SAPSIDUKRN) USERDEF(YES) LIST('/tmp/parts')
When i run the command it says successfully completed, but no files are present in the newly created kernel. please guide me on how to proceed with this.

From reading your description I wonder if you simply mixed up directory names. In step 1) of the kernel load you mentioned directory kernel below rootbin. In the command you reference directory /tmp. Although LODSAPKRN should complain if any of the given objects is missing it might worth checking.
However, did you recognize there is a new option USERDEF(FLAT) available with the latest version (246) of LODSAKRN? This option is supposed to allow standard SAPEXE+SAPEXEDB packages being imported without having to provide the parts file. Check note 912575 if you are interested - english version should be getting updated today.

I am getting the message that 'An error occurred downloading iOS 6' on my iPad and iPhone when trying to update through Settings/General/Software Update. Have had problems upgrading to 10.4.3
When using software update or doing it manually the installer runs almost to the end and then quits letting me know it can't install.
Tryed skipping to 10.4.4 with the 10.4.3 combo but same problem.

Welcome to Apple's Users Help Users Forums.
Try the 10.4.3 Combo Updater from Apple Downloads.
It will fix more problems than the Software Update version.
I've ceased using SU and do the CU as a matter of SOP.
Are you holding off on 10.4.4 update. Again these forums suggest the CU.

Problems upgrading from OS 8.1 to OS 9.2.2

Thank you for any help you can give me.
I have some additional problems upgrading from OS 8.1 to OS 9.2.2.
1. The keyboard is typing symbols, not normal letters. When I go to Key Caps it shows symbols and not normal letters. When I was running OS 8.1 the keyboard typed fine.
2. I also am have trouble with windows closing as I open new windows. Everytime I click to open a new folder the old folder closes.
3. Copying files. When I drag a file it makes a new copy on the desktop.
How did I goof up going from OS 8.1 directly to OS 9.2.2?
All these problems were fine while running under OS 8.1.
I believe this computer came with OS.8.6 installed on it but I got it with OS 8.1.
Any help you can pass on to me would be greatly appreciated.
I am typing this on my Dell PC.

iMac G3 333 Mac OS 9.2.x

Easy, I just insert my OS 8.1 System Software into the tray loading CD and choose it as the start up disk in the control panel. I restart the computer and it is running off of OS 8.1 instead on OS 9.2.2. I looked for another keyboard today at a used computer store but they didn't have one for the iMac. I need to find one as all my research indicates that it is somehow connected to the option key. But then again everything works fine under OS 8.1. Quite a puzzle to me. Again thanks for the page tip on Firmware. Jim - PS, I did pick up a zip drive that connects to USB ports.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
