Versions, I don't get them.

I'm brand new to Aperture. I have a folder with two different Projects in it. I imported a photo into one project that I want to use for the master. I then did a Duplicate version which created a 2nd version in a Stack. I wanted the option of having the second version in the other project. I dragged it there, but the original 2nd version remains. If I click delete version in the first Project, it also deletes the copied one from the second.
Basically, I am confused on the most basic of Aperture things, Masters.
Should I instead of copying a version, import from the original on my hard drive to have another pure version?

I think it comes down to not understanding Aperture. I know Aperture doesn't mess with the original file.
If I shoot 100 photos, I may use only 2-5 of them. I wanted to pull them out of the "All" project into a "My Picks" project.
It's an organization thing. Maybe I'm not doing it right.
I have a folder called "LBI Photos, LLC" inside it, I have currently three Projects:
LBI Photos 2007, LBI Photos 2008, LBI Photos on Website
Inside the 2007 and 2008 I have folder for each month. So the year ones house all the photos I took those years. Once I choose photos for sale on my website, I move them(or would like to) LBI Photos on Website. So I can quickly see my final picks.
Maybe this isn't the right way to organize. It seemed right when I did it, but not knowing Aperture too well, maybe it isn't.

Either they're being sent to a different email address, or got caught in a spam filter, or something's wrong at Apple's end. If you can't find the email, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions, which can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.

Here is something that you can try:
# Click on Tools and then click Options.
# Select the Advanced panel
# Select the General tab
# Uncheck Use hardware acceleration where available.
# Click File and then click Exit.
# Start Firefox normally.
Once you have followed those steps, you'll want to follow these as well and see if the lines are gone.
Click the Help menu and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
Let me know if this has eliminated the problem.

It sounds like you’re seeing spam emails in the Mail application on your MacBook Air, but you aren’t seeing those spam emails on your iPhone. The article linked below will walk you through enabling Junk Mail filtering in Mail and specifying what you want to do with the emails that are filtered.

Alrighty, so to start off, i do know that everyone believes the iPhone doesn't get viruses, but once i explain it, you will understand they can carry them. I have a verizon iPhone 4, and had a Macbook Pro 15in. My mac was stolen and not recovered, so for about a week before i could get a new one, i used my moms Acer laptop. she had previously had a virus known as the Google Redirect Virus, but told me it was taken care of, it wasnt. pretty much, you try to search something, you click any of the links(which are the real results), and it redirects to a BS site. now, i was like whatever and kept going about my business, plugging in my iphone via USB to charge, all was fine. then in class, i used a buddy's computer, windows 7 PC, and his computer pretty much shut down all connections, later when he was going through it trying to fix it, running virus scans and the like, it showed that he got viruses with last modified dates being exactly when i had my phone plugged in, it was the same virus my moms computer had. it seems that the iphone, despite not being synced to either itunes, acted as a carrier of the virus, though itself unaffected. (the virus is internet explorer based and hides in those types of files or something.) i got my new macbook pro 15in retina, but i don't want to plug my iphone in until it gets cleaned because i am worried that the MBP will act as a carrier just as my iphone did, and could spread the virus via email or flash drives that i connect. i can't simply replace the iPhone because i need to backup all my contacts since my old computer with the backups is gone, but that would also backup the virus most likely.
I AM NOT JAILBROKEN, NOR HAS THIS PHONE EVER BEEN. just sayin =)

Not possible. Windows malware could not possibly infect an iPhone in any meaningful way, and certainly could not run on the iPhone in order to copy itself to and infect another machine. If it were something like a Word macro virus, which lives inside a document that you might somehow copy to your iPhone, then copying that document to your friend's PC and then opening it could infect him, but if you did not sync the iPhone with that PC, you didn't transfer any files to it.
Most likely, your friend's PC got infected with the same malware around the same time that you were dealing with the infection on your mom's machine. This is not an unlikely coincidence, as malware tends to appear in spurts, with a lot of people suddenly getting infected with the same thing during a short time period.

So we bought a new laptop and we are afraid to plug the iPad it into. So we just didn't for two years. And as a bonus I have no clue as to what email i tried to sync it to at the time or password used.
And that email address may have been one that was hacked and disabled.
I have a fairly new iPhone that is synced to my work email.
I would like to update everything but don't even know where to start. Baby steps, help please, as I am obviously a gadget geek with NO actual gadget / computer/ apple skills. And lazy as I haven't worried about any of this until the iPad kept crashing all the time and the iPhone wanted me to update but I am scared to.
Jedi masters, any idea where to start?

When you say sync'd to email do you mean you have multiple AppleIDs you have used for these devices?
You don't "sync to email".

I have Whatsapp, Snapchat and Kik notifications enabled on iPhone 5s, but don't get them. What can I do?

I own an iPhone 5s and wasn't having problems with it when I got it less than a month ago. But now I don't receive notifications of apps like Whatsapp and Snapchat, even though I have them all enabled in the Notification Center. It's not that big of a problem, but it bothers me that I need to be checking them all the time to see if I have new messages, since nothing shows on my lock screen or even makes noise. Should I just delete them and download them again? Thanks in advance.

Try doing a reset, hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
If a reset doesn't help try deleting and reinstalling the facebook app.

I've set the Photo Stream preferences to "automatically import to Library" - but that does not happen. How can I get these new photos into my "old" iMac photo library?

The monthly events "Feb2014" will show you all photos that have been imported from "My Photo STream", if you have enabled "Automatic Import" in the "Preferences > iCloud" tab.
The albums you are seeing under "iCloud" are the "Shared Photo Streams" and "My Photo Stream". To import from your "Shared Streams" drag the photos frommthe Shared Streams album to the Projects in the library panel.

It is entirely possible for an iMac to acquire and host malware; to be infected with what's often called (sometimes technically incorrectly) "a virus".
This can be due to malware that was explicitly installed and authorized by an administrative user, or can be due to vulnerabilities in existing OS X software. Recent vulnerabilities that can affect OS X users include those encountered in Safari, in Oracle Java, or in Adobe Flash, among other components.
One of the most common paths for infection are explicitly-requested downloads, and that have then been authenticated by an administrative user. Basically, a user that's been convinced to download and install and use an administrative password to authenticate the malware installation. These have been seen with "video players", for instance, where a user downloads and installs an updated player; claimed to be Adobe Flash Player or some other CODEC or player component.
There are other malware attacks possible. Trojan horses have been seen targetting OS X, for instance.
Depending on the details of the actual infestation here (if there is any infestation here, of course), it is possible for an ISP to spot an infected computer through various available monitoring mechanisms. Your OS X client system could be sending out mail messages directly through protocols that are server-oriented protocols (a rogue SMTP spam engine has been installed on your OS X client, for instance), and that outbound SMTP traffic can be easy to spot at a firewall or network monitor. It's also possible to spot malware in the attachments in outbound messages that are routed via the ISP's mail servers, as well; various ISPs will scan messages.
The first step is to determine if your system has unauthoriized malware installed. Ask your ISP for what evidence they have for this infestation; what evidence they believe they've found. It's also possible that you'll need to purchase anti-malware tools, or (depending on the particular severity of any infestation found) reinitialization and restoration.
It's also possible for another system on your local network to be infested. Windows boxes, Linux and even printers can become infested these days.
And it's possible that you've received an infected document from somewhere, and have been working on it on OS X; that your system is hosting the malware, but that it's not actually infected. (OS X, Linux and Unix file services can all host Windows malware easily, for instance, but those systems generally can't be infected by that particular malware.)
And the ISP could be incorrect in their particular report to you.
You'll probably need some help determining if this is a real malware infection, and then cleaning up the problem; somebody with some more experience in interpreting what the ISP has found, and in determining whether that indicates a problem with your OS X system, and then (if so) how to resolve it. That might be somebody at the Apple Genius bar, or a local Apple specialist.

We added iMessage the them both and at first it was great, the messages appear in the text messages under the phone contacts and when I send a text message it will either be a green message or a blue one for (iMessage) depending on the signal. You and your husband can share a store account and still have seperate iCloud accounts for your contacts, bookmarks and stuff like that. Click here for instructions to make an apple account without entering a credit card. Make sure you use a different email address for each apple account.
Set up your iPhone/iPad whatever using the new account for iCloud. Then go into settings/store and sign in with your purchasing account, you may need to sign out of the other account. To the best of my knowledge, your household is allowed to share purchased legally, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once you each have your own devices set to your own accounts you can set them to backup to that account and it will keep all your contacts seperate.

I don't remember those arrows in 10.6, only 10.7 & up!?
I have 10.6.8, as you do. To make your Safari full screen, make sure you have the left hand side of your safari page moved all the way to the left. Then move your cursor to the BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER of the safari page, and simply drag your page towards the lower right hand corner of the screen. NOTE: you will see a series of lines on the bottom right corner of the page, indicating where to place you cursor arrow.

I believe I had leopard and I was having issues getting errors of system not being supported. I contacted Apple and was advised I needed to upgrade to snow leopard. My laptop is from 2009 and I haven't done anything to it till now. The apple rep also stated I should do a fresh install when putting snow leopard on so my laptop would run faster. Apple rep told me to get a external hard drive to put my info on it so the fresh install would reset everything to like it was brand new. I had someone help me with getting everything on the EHD.. doing the right format and such and then once that was done I put in the CD for snow leopard and hit install. Which brings me to now, with everything but my pictures. I have the EHD plugged in... now what? What do I do? I have looked in the EHD in iphoto and it was all standard images *not my pictures but images of a check mark or an arrow again not actual pictures. I don't see a folder pictures and i looked for images and found nothing. I have Applications, Included Free Designs, Library, System, User Guides and Information and Users, those are my options and non of those have a "pictures"
