Vertical/Horizontal Scroll Bars in Numbers 3.0

Just upgraded from Numbers 2.0.1 today.  I have a few simple spreadsheets that were converted to 3.0 that now have horizontal and vertical scroll bars that take the page WAY past where the sheet data is.  In fact, when I create a blank document, the scroll bars at the bottom and right also want to extend far past the black sheet template data.
Simply put, how do I make these disappear?  In the past I just dragged the right bottom corner of the window and they disappeared as it auto detected that the page data stopped at the last cell.
I realize this question is sorta ridiculous, but my OCD has me going nuts because I can't fix this

bump, anyone?
Another issue with this is that after I close the document, it doesn't save the format of the spreadsheet (wide like a 16x9 HDTV / landscape).  It looks like it wants to make it a portrait shaped every time the file is opened.  Is there no way to save the format?

  • How do I view the Horizontal Scrolling bar and status bar at the bottom of the screen. I can only see the top menus, toolbars and vertical scroll bar?

    Before the most recent upgrade, the bottom horizontal scrolling bar and status bar appeared on my screen. Now since upgrading, I cannot see the. Anyone ideas how to restore them?

    If you haven't already, you could force-quit Quicktime by using the menu option from the desktop (finder) and choose Quicktime.
    Not sure what you have frozen on the screen, be it a failed movie, or some unusual screen shot. If you can find by date (created) you may be able to look for .mov or quicktime suffix name or other video file content to delete it.
    And you may have to restart your computer and perhaps run repair disk permissions from Disk Utility's first aid on the hard disk drive in your computer.
    Not sure if all that would help now, but it is something a few days late...!
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Horizontal scroll bar for each page of the ADF page???

    Hi Everyone,
    I have developed one ADF page which is working very fine.
    The width and height of the page is more by which it is showing vertical scroll bar and horzontal scroll bar at the end(bottom) of the page.
    But the requirement is that the horzontal scroll bar should be displayed for every page when we scroll down but it is displaying at only bottom of the page.
    How can i include horizontal scroll bar?
    Any suggestions wil be really useful.
    Thanks.

    See if this works:
    <af:form id="f1">
    <af:panelStretchLayout id="psl1">
    <f:facet name="center">
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl2" layout="scroll">
    <af:panelGroupLayout id="pfl1"/>
    </af:panelGroupLayout>
    </f:facet>
    </af:panelStretchLayout>
    </af:form>
    Drop your content inside the second panelGroupLayout

  • Horizontal scroll bar for the adf page

    Hi,
    We have around 7 tables in single jsff page. Here , we have a requirement like :
    We need to show horizontal scroll bar for the entire page instead of each table. Is there any way to get this.
    As of now, we have horizontal scroll bar for each table, but our customer is not accepting this, that want the scroll bar for the entire page.
    Please suggest the approach.
    Thanks

    I have grouped all the tables in panelgrouplayout.So, what is the problem (because it is not quite clear what you need)?
    If your PanelGroupLayout is with layout="horizontal", then the tables will be rendered next to each other horizontally but there will be no horizontal scrollbar on the page.
    If your PanelGroupLayout is with layout="scroll", then the tables will be next to each other vertically and there will be a horizontal and a vertical scrollbar on the page (if necessary).
    If you need your tables to be relocated next to each other horizontally and to have a horizontal scrollbar on the page, then use a PanelGroupLayouts(horizontal) inside a PanelGroupLayout(scroll):
    <af:panelGroupLayout layout="scroll">
      <af:panelGroupLayout layout="horizontal">
        <af:table> ... </af:table>
        <af:table> ... </af:table>
        <af:table> ... </af:table>
      </af:panelGroupLayout>
    </af:panelGroupLayout>If your problem is that you still have horizontal scrollbars inside the tables, then you should set appropriate widths to the corresponding tables (e.g. to <af:table> tags) such that they are large enough to fit the sum of corresponding column widths.
    ya, I know that its not god design, but its customer requirement, so we need to do that.If you expect some table(s) to be stretched automatically according to the size of browser's window, then you should re-think your UI design because PanelGroupLayouts do not stretch their children. A possible solution is to use a combination of PanelSplitters or other layout containers that stretch their children.

  • Horizontal scroll bar not appearing-Alert report screen

    Hi All,
    I have an agent setup which shows alerts and a report is fed as an input/delivery content. The report is fairly big with many columns and cannot fit in the standard alert screen hence need a horizontal scroll bar to view all the columns. But unfortunately there are two vertical scroll bars which are appearing and no horizontal scroll bar. Could the experts please let me know if this is a bug or is there any configuration that I am missing?
    OBIEE version: 11.1.1.5
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Sorry for the delay in response. The issue was because of IE7 version. Its a bug.

  • Horizontal scroll bar on JTextPane

    Hey everyone! I need to know how I can add a horizontal scroll bar to a jTextPane. I can NOT use a jTextArea though because I need to be using a StyledDocument. Right now, when I add it to a jScrollPane, it only scrolls vertically, but it wordwraps. Thanks for reading!

    Override getScrollableTracksViewportHeight() method to return false and at the same time, override setSize() method to adjust size of text pane. Following example shows this:
    import java.awt.Dimension;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    import javax.swing.JScrollPane;
    import javax.swing.JTextPane;

  • Horizontal scroll bar moves with page up/down

    I'm new at this and apologize if I don't have the right forum, but can't find any reference to my problem anywhere. A month or so ago the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the screen started moving up or down with the page as I used the vertical scroll bar to page up or down. The bar partly disintegrates if I click on it, but mostly remains in place and obscures text on that line. If there is more than one page I can make the bar disappear by scrolling the to the next page, and then back. This happens only when I'm on the internet, and appears in news pages ( e.g. NY Times, BBC) and on my e-mails (I use Hotmail). I have a Mac mini, 1.66 GHz, OS 10.4.11, all other updates offered by Apple. I'm sure this is not a Safari problem, and my searches for Apple viruses, Trojans, Worms, has found nothing about this (there are discussions about vertical scrolling, but these don't seem to relate to my problem). So can anyone tell me what this is and how to get rid of it? Thanks for any help. TJ Wont

    I've got the same problem. It started when the BBC introduced adverts onto their News website. As the page loads an advert (or sometimes whitespace) appears between the tab and the BBC News banner. This is then shifted to the right hand side when the page fully loads.
    I suspect that there's some fancy DHTML going on that Safari isn't rendering properly.
    Problem doesn't occur if the Safari window is maximised to full screen width.

  • Horizontal Scroll Bar in Power Pivot?

    Good Afternoon,
    I have recently installed PowerPivot and began importing my T-SQL queries into it, unfortunately for queries with a large number of columns, I am unable to see a horizontal scroll bar, although I do have a vertical scrollbar.  I can move my cursor to
    the right, however it just disappears off screen.  Is there any way to add a horizontal scrollbar to the PowerPivot window?

    Thanks for providing the screen shot. This behaviour isn't normal; the horizontal scroll bar should definitely by present in this scenario.
    Does re-sizing the Power Pivot Window cause the horizontal scroll bar to appear?
    Does toggling between the Data View and Diagram View make a difference?
    Does disabling and then re-enabling the Power Pivot Add-in make any difference?
    Does the same thing happen if you create a new workbook and load the same table?
    Have you already tried a repair on your Office installation?
    Regards,
    Michael Amadi

  • Horizontal scroll bar in bookmarks manager

    FF 29.0.1 win7x64
    there is a vertical scroll bar in the bookmarks manager but no horizontal, which squashes all of the bookmarks names, urls, dates.. on my low res screen.
    Is there a way to add a horizontal scroll bar to the bookmarks manager so that i could make the

  • Horizontal Scroll bar in a list Box?

    Hi,
    I have a requirement in Adobe Designer where my List Box should also show Horizontal Scroll bar in it.
    Is it possible?
    Thanks.

    Thanks Debadas,
    But i need both (Horizontal & Vertical) the scroll bars and depending on the data length either or both should be visible, without changing the data visiblity or text rotation.

  • Annoying Finder Horizontal Scroll Bar

    I have an annoying Finder issue with Mountain Lion OS X 10.8 and maybe someone knows how to fix.  When I have a folder displayed, like the Applicaitons folder, with View opton set to "as List" the Finder displays a long horizontal scroll bar at the bottom that is active. How can I lock or anchor the horziontal scroll bar to the left side. It really gets to be annoying as you mouse scroll up and down the list.  I have the same issue in with Excel and Numbers. If it cannot be locked to the left, can it be disabled or deleted?

    I just made each item listed the min width and this let me resize the window to ditch the horziontal scroll bar. This helped but did not solve the issue on how to lock it to the left or turn it OFF.
    Thanks

  • Missing Horizontal scroll bar in Side Bar of Firefox 4

    When I use the FF4 Side Bar for my Bookmarks, I cannot see many of my '''Sub-Folders or read long link names''' because there is '''no Horizontal Scroll Bar'''. Instead, I must '''manually widen''' the Side Bar to see the longer link names or expanded Sub Fldr content. I do have a vertical scroll bar. There is no Horizontal Bookmark in the "Show All Bookmarks" either. I would think there would be a Horizontal Scroll Bar too for expanding the Trees. In CSS usage, that's practically basic Web Page design.

    I've created a Bugzilla bug for this problem, vote for it there: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=661464

  • JList in JScrollPane never shows horizontal scroll bar

    I have a JList inside a JScrollPane. When I add a lot of cells to the list, the vertical scroll bar appears as expected. However, if I add a cell that would require lots of horizontal space in which to render, the horizontal scroll bar never appears.
    Is there a way to make the JList take on the width of the widest rendered cell?
    Josh

    Here's some code that will demonstrate the problem. Run the code, then resize the window so that the horizontal scroll bar should appear.
    Code for jds.toys.Main:
    package jds.toys;
    import javax.swing.DefaultListModel;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    import javax.swing.JList;
    import javax.swing.JScrollPane;
    import javax.swing.SwingUtilities;
    public class Main extends JFrame {
         protected DefaultListModel model;
         public Main()
              super("JList in JScrollPane");
              model = new DefaultListModel();
              model.addElement("A very very very very very very long String");
              model.addElement("A very very very very very very very long String");
              model.addElement("A very very very very very very very very long String");
              model.addElement("A very very very very very very very very very long String");
              model.addElement("A very very very very very very very very very very long String");
              model.addElement("A very very very very very very very very very very very long String");
                      JList list = new JList(model);
                      list.setSize(300,300);
                      list.setFixedCellHeight(30);
                      list.setCellRenderer(new MyCellRenderer());
                      JScrollPane scrollPane = new JScrollPane(list);
                      add(scrollPane);
                      setSize(400,400);
        public static void main(String[] args) throws InterruptedException {
             final Main m = new Main();
            SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
                public void run() {
                     m.setVisible(true);
    Code for jds.toys.MyCellRenderer:
    package jds.toys;
    import java.awt.Component;
    import java.awt.Graphics;
    import javax.swing.JList;
    import javax.swing.JPanel;
    import javax.swing.ListCellRenderer;
    public class MyCellRenderer extends JPanel implements ListCellRenderer
         private Object currentValue;
         private JList currentList;
         public MyCellRenderer()
         public Component getListCellRendererComponent(     JList list,
                                             Object value,
                                       int index,
                                       boolean isSelected,
                                       boolean cellHasFocus)
              currentValue = value;
              currentList = list;
              return this;
         public void paintComponent(Graphics g)
              int stringLen = g.getFontMetrics().stringWidth(currentValue.toString());
              int ht = currentList.getFixedCellHeight();
              g.setColor(getBackground());
              g.fillRect(0,0,stringLen,ht);
              g.setColor(getForeground());
              g.drawString(currentValue.toString(),0,ht/2);

  • TextArea horizontal scroll bar?

    Is it possible to have horizontal scroll bars in TextAreas? In html, the horizontal and vertical scroll bars automatically render themselves when needed. But that is not happening with the TextArea dropped on the design page from Creator's JSF Standard Components palette. Is there a setting somewhere to make the horizontal scroll bar show?

    Hi,
    This problem has been noticed earlier too and a bug exists for the same. In the meanwhile the following workaround is available which has been suggested by one of the engineers:
    1. Add a "div" tag enclosing "select" tag.
    2. Move the style attribute from "select" tag on "div" tag
    3. In addition, add an "overflow" attribute to "style" attribute on "div" tag and set it to "auto".
    <div style="left: 168px; top: 96px; overflow: auto; position: absolute; height: 192px; width: 192px">
    <ui:listbox binding="#{newPage.listbox1}" id="listbox1" items="#{newPage.listbox1DefaultOptions.options}" />
    </div>
    Please be warned that once you do, your page will not render well in designer. So this should be done once the app has been rendered and is ready for deployment.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers
    Giri

  • Getting a horizontal scroll bar in the DHTML_SHUTTLE

    Hello,
    We are currently using Carl's DHTML_SHUTTLE procedure to display some shuttles.
    I have a problem where the data is longer than the width of the shuttle and was wondering if it is possible to implement a horizontal scroll bar so that the user can see it?
    Thanks,

    Hi there,
    I have created a JScrollPane object for a JTable. Using the code below, I am trying to create a horizontal scroll pane for the JTable object but the horizontal
    bar doesn't move at all. this is the code. Also when I create the horizontal bar as "AS_NEEDED" the horizontal bar does not appear. The vertical bar works
    properly. Can someone help me with this please.
    This is the Code:
    loadTableScrollPane = new JScrollPane(getLoadTable()); //"getLoadTable()" return a JTable object.
    loadTableScrollPane.setHorizontalScrollBarPolicy(ScrollPaneConstants.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS);
    loadTableScrollPane.setViewportView(getLoadTable());
    loadTableScrollPane.setBounds(new Rectangle(5, 149, 1135, 232));
    Just a wild guess ... because you do need to post a real example - but get rid of the setBounds and setPreferredSize and use pack() on the frame.
