Vertical lines when using camera

Hi all,
I'm having problems with when using my camera, I'm having vertical coloured lines / stripes.
Do I need to replace my camera or can it be solved otherwise?
Regards

I think you'll have to replace the camera. I had a vertical yellow band on the left of my camera in low light, and they swapped the camera out at the Genius bar in about 15 minutes.

  • Single Vertical Line When Using ADF for Scan or Copy on HP Officejet Pro 8600

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium Printer (CN577A)
    OS: MS 7 64 bit
When using the ADF for my CN577A HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium printer, I get a single vertical line on the document that is produced. This occurs when copying or scanning, both in black and white, and in color. If I scan or copy using the glass, I don't get the vertical line.
I already tried the troubleshooting.  I unplugged the printer, left it without power for several minutes; that didn't correct the problem.  Next, I cleaned the rollers and the glass; I still get the vertical line, but only when using the ADF.
My firmware version used is current (CLP1CN1150CR).
    What should I check next?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The ADF uses its own glass area on the scanner bed, it is the narrow (about 1" wide) strip on the left.  Cleaning this area should resolve the issue.  A single small spot would cause the issue you are seeing.

  • Moving, color changing, vertical lines in iSight camera.

I am getting vertical lines when trying to use my rear camera/iSight camera on my ipad mini.
Is there any way to fix this, or do i need to take it in?

How to test your external iSight to ensure it is functional
If your iSight works properly on other Macs when using the same connectors and/or cables, your mini's video card may need service by an authorized technician.  However, if the video card is the cause, I would think that you would notice the problems in apps other than FaceTime or photo booth, too.
If the problem turns out to be the iSight itself, you might find having your old external iSight repaired to be more costly than buying a new Mac-compatible webcam.  If your local retailer cannot help you, select a compatible camera from the alternatives listed in http://www.mac-compatible-web-cam.com/.  Which you buy will depend on your budget and the camera feature you want.  I suggest USB cameras to avoid Firewire's adapter requirements for recent Macs as well as Possible Hardware or Software Conflicts.

  • [LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw] only vertical lines when scanning, scanner broken?

Hi all! I have a problem with the scanner in my HP all in one. If I scan (using the printer function or apples ImageCapture: same result) the output is just a lot of vertical stripes (in colors when in color mode). Not a trace of the image I try to scan. The lines are there even if i scan an empty white page. I see the stripes both when doing a preview scan and an actual scan. The problems are very similar regardless of if I use the flatbed or the feeder scanner (they are separate scanner hardware, yes?). I have updated to the latest software for the printer/scanner and I am connecting over bonjour via wireless. I am on Os X 10.9.1. Anybody having similar problems or is my scanner just plain broken? Thanks in advance!Jon

, , I understand that both of you are seeing vertical lines when scanning from your Laserjet M276nw. First, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Now, so I know where to begin I'd need to know the following:If you are seeing the vertical lines when you copy as well as scan? Are you seeing the vertical lines when you copy from the flatbed? The document feeder? both?If you are seeing the lines from both the flatbed and the feeder are they in the same place?Once I know this I'll be better able to assist you.

  • I have vertical lines when printing even after changing cartridges.

I have vertical lines when printing even after changing cartridges. There are no lines when copying, faxing or scanning, only printing. I have cleaned the glass, scanner and even dusted where the toner cartride slides in.  Any suggestions?

Sorry but I have worked on laser printers for over 20 years and never encountered your issue.  That is of course if you are explaining it correctly.  When you make a copy to be printed or print a reports page from the printer or send a print job to the printer, if in all these cases you get the line, then yes the issue is either the toner cartridge or the fuser.  If you make a copy to be printed and it prints without the line (Put original in adf, press copy button and print should come out), then you have one weird unit since it does not make sense since the print formatter on the unit whether making a copy or printing from the computer or unit itself uses the same hardware.  Now to test if the printed copy has a line then just put a sheet of paper on top of the feed tray and do a self test from the printer.  When the back edge of the paper enters the printer, quickly open the toner door to stop the printing.  Remove the toner cartridge and look at the image below.  If the defect is present the toner cartridge is the issue and if the image below does not have the defect, then the fuser needs to be replaced.  Best I can do.  Good Luck.

    Hello Ramanan,
Report Builder : connect JDBC Query in Report Builder is to through Connection Dialog in JDBC Query Editor. User can use a Sign on parameter (can use, default : P_JDBCPDS or can create new) to connect to JDBC Data Source. Connection once made will be mentioned and will be reused through out Reports Builder.
JDBC PDS allows user to connect one or more same or different kind of databases.
While running report through runtime or Server, user can pass the sign on parameter(connection string) value, like any other user parameter.
Syntax for connection string : <username>/<password>@databaseURL . The syntax of database part of connection string depend on the type of JDBC Driver used to connect to Data Source while designing the JDBC Query. databaseURL refer to the location of the database and its format depend on the JDBCPDS river selected in design time while creating the JDBC Query.
    rwrun eg :
    rwrun report=jdbc_odbc.rdf destype=file desname=output.html desformat=html P_JDBCPDS=scott/tiger@database
    Server eg :

  • Unwanted lines when using effects.

Having much trouble with unwanted thin lines when using outlined text with multiple effects - outer glow & bevel and emboss. Typically the lines show through the outer glow effect in the color of the background. It is then especially noticable with the darker background I used for this layout. The lines are not visible on screen but show up in printing. I have also tried saving as PDF and then printing but no difference.
Here is a scanned portion of the layout.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The transparency flattener preset was set to medium resolution.
If it's transparency stitching then the flattener preset you use in the print driver would make a difference. Try High resolution or make a flattener preset that has a heavier raster balance. Here's a flattened PDF/X-1a test with low res vs. a customized high res:
The custom flattener on the left has no stitching at any zoom view

That button is not the Save As button, really, but a link to the DNG converter. To save your raw file in an image format, click the Open button instead and then save in the format of your choice in the editor. • My iPhone 4 is showing vertical lines when playing videos / within Camera

The device is brand new. A couple weeks ago I took my phone in for a problem with the display (it had a brown spot on the whole right side). I received the replacement, and I was told it's brand new, although I suspect it's refurbished. This wouldn't be a major concern, but the problem it came with is.
Basically, this is how any video plays:
    http://i.imgur.com/xuwmF.jpg
The same goes for using Camera. Videos and photos, however, do not have the lines. I figured there must be something wrong with the video drivers/codecs/what have you, but after a clean restore the problem is still there.
I live in Romania, and currently, my only option involving warranty would involve me taking the phone to an Orange Store (seeing that I bought it from them), but that, as I know from experience, takes weeks to solve, due to their wonderful bureaucracy.
Any clues as to what's going on with the phone? Thanks in advance.

  • How can I remove vertical lines when printing from Aperture 3.2.2 to Epson Stylus Photo RX690?

I have been generally quite happy with my access to and use of Aperture 3.2.2 (recently purchased) for import and manipulation of photos and movies, etc.I am using Aperture on a MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.8.
However I have been unable to print high quality images on Epson premium glossy, glossy or matt paper on my Epson Stylus Photo RX690.
High quality prints on screen show perfectly in preview, but all prints come out with good and accurate colours, but a series of vertical lines or bands of lines across the photo print.
Using the Aperture Manual I have checked my settings in Aperture for the printer, for colour and quality of paper etc and they all seem to be correct.
The Epson Printer is networked with a Toshiba (Vista) laptop which prints perfect results from Picasa and Photoshop with fine colour and no markings.
I would appreciate any help please.

    Thank you Mark
I thought I had done all the settings .....but no.
I now have perfect prints. Easy when you know how!!!

  • Vertical lines when printing a PDF

Software: Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.1.3.1 (German)
    OS: Win XP Prof SP3
    Printer: Lexmark C935
    Hello Community
I have a strange problem: When user A tries to print out his building plans in PDF format on a Lexmark C935, there are vertical lines on the printout.
    What I tried:
User A prints on another client: NOK
User B prints the same document: OK
Both users use the same printer with the same driver > shouldn't be a problem with the printer
User A has the same problem on another client > shouldn't be a problem with the client
Are there some user-specific settins that could cause these lines? I tried reinstalling Acrobat Standard, but it did not work...
Any comments / ideas are appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Simon

Try adjusuting your pdf page display settings (eg: turn off enhance thin lines).
